Hey there Music Fans!
With the New PeterPalooza Music Event in our games, there are a lot of questions running around. The main one I am seeing is WHO or WHAT earns you the items you are going to need for the game.
On top of that, there is additional aspects of the game that require you to Perform Concerts.
In this post I wanted to go over the Basics of the Concert Area and what you can do to help give your game a boost in Materials.
CONCERT STAGE
You will find the stage surround by a bunch of kids busy on their Smart Devices hanging around the Event Area of the game. 
In order to start your First Concert, you will need a Musician. With Avril being the Only Musician option right now, you will want to focus on unlocking her first. (Rockstar Peter can be used too, but for Encores.) Tapping on the stage will Pop Up the Concert Details.
Concerts are a HUGE source of Glowsticks and Guitar Picks.
HOW DO I START A CONCERT?
You will need to “Convince” a Musician to perform on the Quahog Stage in your Event Area. You do that by getting the items they want. In this example I will use the first Musician, Avril Lavigne.
When you tap on the Stage, it will tell you WHAT Avril will want in order to Perform.
Here is the list of items you will need for Avril (scrolling left and right will show them all). Tapping on “GO” under any of them will take you directly to the item.

As you collect each of these items, they will show a check mark that you got them and darken out. The “COMPLETED” portion will also show the change in % done. You will also see it tells you “NOT READY”.
Once you get all the items, it will then show “COMPLETED” 100%, and the Button in the middle will change to “START CONCERT”. Tap on it.
Tapping on START CONCERT will take you to a 2nd screen. Here is where you will see the options of Musicians to select from. Just Avril was available at this time, so only she showed up. You can CANCEL the choice or go ahead and tap on “START CONCERT” to let Avril begin to play.
You will now see the Pop Up telling you to go find Fans to tap on. Fans will drop items like Glowsticks, Coins, and Stars. You will want to get as many as you can as fast as you can. You have 2 minutes to tap on as many as you can. They will spawn in a large group and respawn not much longer after you clear the prior batch. So… move fast.
If you tap on the Concert Stage, you will see Avril’s Regular Concert is out of 40.
When the time runs out, you will be show how many Stars you got and what payout you received.
Avril Concert: I got 24/40 Stars (12 Fans) in the 2 minutes and my Payout was 80 Glowsticks 
& 30 Skull Guitar Picks
. (3 1/3 out of 5 Stars filled on Pop Up)
HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE FOR THE CONCERT
2 minutes. You will see the timer over the Event Stage above the Musician. You can also see it by tapping on the Stage. This starts the second you tap on “START CONCERT”, so move quickly to your road once you do.
HOW/WHERE DO THE FANS SPAWN?
For me, the Female Fans spawned in a HUGE group of like 15-20 at a time on my Quahog Streets. I cleared them as fast as I could. Another 15-20 or so Spawned around 30-60secs later.
This is where having roads in locations you can clearly see is good as you want to tap as many as you can in the 2 minutes time frame. The more the better. Also it is a good idea to not have any other Characters on the roads for “accidental” tapping.
Tapping on them paid out 1-2 Stars each and +1 Glowsticks.
Note: If you do NOT clear them all and miss some, they will still wander your town after the Concert but will drop coins instead and still a few stars when tapped.
ENCORE CONCERTS
Once you get the initial Concert out of the way after convincing a Musician to perform, you have the ability now to run unlimited amounts of Encore Concerts. At this point, if you have Rockstar Peter he is able to perform the Encore Concerts too. So you will now have the option of more than one Musician to use.
Encore Concerts will be a lil bit harder to get all 5 stars as they will have higher Star requirement to reach, but it is still a great way to earn Glowsticks and Guitar Picks.
HOW DO I START AN ENCORE CONCERT?
Similar to a Regular Concert, you will have to complete 4 items in order to have the Musicians perform.
For the Encore Concerts, I saw the same 4 tasks each time. So you will want to get these going as soon as you can and completed in order to unlock the Encore Concert option. Tap on the Concert Stage to see them.
- Have Avril Perform a Secret Show- 10hrs
- Have Rockstar Peter Turn It Up To 11- 11hrs
- Have Quagmire Remember Rodstock- 8hrs
- Have Joes Detain Unruly Teenagers- 12hrs
Once you have all 4 complete, you will see a similar scenario. The screen will show 100% Complete, all the tasks checked off and darkened, and the option to “START CONCERT” now highlighted. Tap on it.
The next few screens will look a little different. First you will be taken to the Performers in the game screen. It will show you how many you currently have available for the Encore and if they are Ready or Busy on another task. Tap “START CONCERT”.
Now you will be able to actually select WHICH Musician you want to do the Encore Performance. (I did not see a difference in using either one.) Choose your Performer by tapping on them.
A check mark will show up next to the one you selected. You can now “START CONCERT”.
HOW MUCH TIME IS THE ENCORE CONCERT?
Same as the regular Concert, you will have 2 minutes to quickly tap as many Fans as you possibly can to gain Stars.
WHAT IS THE STAR AMOUNT FOR ENCORES?
For both Avril and Rockstar Peter, the Encore MAX Star amount was 80.
WHAT WAS THE PAYOUT FOR ENCORE?
The Payout seems the same.
Rockstar Peter Encore Concert: I got 58/80 Stars (4 out of 5 Stars filled on Pop Up). Same Payout as before. 80 Glowsticks & 30 Skull Guitar Picks.
Avril Encore Concert: I got 50/80 Stars (3 1/2 out of 5 Stars filled on Pop Up). Same Payout as before. 80 Glowsticks & 30 Skull Guitar Picks.
WHY CAN’T I SELECT A PERFORMER?
If you are not able to Select a Performer, it is a good chance they are Busy on another task in the game. For instance, I had Avril on a task to get a jump start on the next Encore Performance. Due to she was on the task “Perform a Secret Show”, this is what options I saw …
She was noted in the Musician list that she was “Busy”. Tapping on “GO” under her took me to where she was on the task.
In the Select a Performer Screen, she was grayed out and you could not tap on her to select her.
WHAT ARE ALL THE DIFFERENT STAR PAYOUTS?
Here is what I saw in my game for the Encore Performances. You start with 1 Star for doing nothing, so you have one no matter what. So even if you do not tap a single Fan, you will still make some decent payout on the materials.
1 Star: 70 20 (0/80)
2 Stars: 75 25 (20/80)
3 Stars: 80 30 (58/80, 40/80, 50/80, 44/80, 48/80)
4 Stars: 90 40 (66/80, 70/80)
5 Stars: I have not hit the 5 Stars during an Encore Concert yet (not enough Fans spawned in time), but I assume it is same as 5 Stars during a regular Concert, 10050. The closest amount I got was 70/80 and the payout was still 9040
Side Note: This is my “hint” to getting MORE Stars if you want to try it. Essentially I left the last Spawn of Fans from the previous Concert, so I had 15 already roaming the streets before the Concert started. These were the CONCERT FANS from the previous one. Do not mistake them for the Regular spawning Female Fans. Those will not work.
Once the Concert started I tapped like mad and cleared them. Then I got 2 more spawns of Fans after that. It pushed me to the 70/80 Stars and 4 1/2 Rating.
The payouts each Concert are already fairly generous as is, so this may not really be worth it… but just wanted to put it out there. Just in case it does come in handy later down the line in the Event. 🙂

Help- i’m up to rick aston and have never had option to perform an encore. I did the herbert concert and got all stars but when i clicked again there was no encore option just rick aston

That is normal. If you have “stacked” the Musicians… you can’t access Encores again until all those Musicians are done. If you clear Rick before the next Phase arrives, then you can access an Encore. If not, the next Musician will again take the stage.

I was an hour away from the 4th task for an encore which would have gotten me really close to Meg’s costume… And then the game tells me do start a new encore with different tasks. … Why did it not let you finish what you are currently working on first?.. I do not think I will get meg in the time I have left because if this. Anyone else in the same boat or know why or how to fix??

You most likely jumped phase 1 to 2. Yes it happened to many. Part of game mechanic. All you can do is let TinyCo know what happened.

After I finished the Avril Lavinge concert, my app crashes and it constantly tells me the following “attempting to display completion modal for non-existant reward”. When I click “OK” the app reloads, and it gives me the same error… Anyone experienced the same? I can’t play any further, and it is really frustrating.

I have a quest that says Peter wants to do an encore and it says something about a hardcore encore using Peter. I just sent Peter on a encore concert after I done joes one and it has not checked that it was complete. Am I doing something wrong? Is the hardcore encore the one that is a 24 hour concert??

What Concert did you send Peter on? The Actual complete tasks and perform and Encore by tapping on “Start Concert”?

I sent him on an encore concert. After I completed joes concert I had to do task to start an encore concert. Had the option to send either joe arvril snoop or Peter so I sent Peter. I have also sent a rip on the 24 hour concert but have not sent Peter. The quest itself is called hardcore encore and the description says Peter wants to do an encore. Host a peterpalooza encore.

Ummmm, question…. am I reading this right that you sent TWO Characters to the Stage area at the same time? If so, you may be causing the lock out I warned on both the Secret post as well as the Phase 2 rundown. Just a heads up.
Next, the Secret 24hr one technically does not exist in the game. I would suggest to not use it to try and cover needed items for the questlines and there is absolutely no guarantee it will work. As stated in both posts I mentioned above “at your own risk”.
I know what task you are talking of. It is in Phase 1 Main Walkthrough for PeterPalooza.

Yes this is one but it doesn’t seem to complete from my list. I’m well into phase 2 now. No I haven’t sent 2 people at the same Time I always waited for one to finish. I have now done at least 3 encores since this quest line came up. It is just annoying its sitting there on my to do list.

You can still clear it with an Encore once Joe is unlocked. If it does not work with just a regular earn tasks and to an Encore… let TinyCo know.

I did my first concert and then completed the tasks to do the encore and I didn’t even get to do the encore it switched it to Joe Lion task. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks for all the tips, i think i did ok (clicked furiously to clear them, so when it ended i accidentally cleared the results screen – there should be a “done reading” button!), but won enough picks to get Meg’s outfit so I’m happy.
But how can you tell leftover concert fans from regular spawning female fans? The graphic looks the same?

I did my first concert, how do I see how many stars I got and what my reward is? I looked everywhere, everywhere except where it actually is apparently.

It pops up when it’s does. If you tapped too fast you may have tapped through them and missed it. (See picture in this post of reward screen) The amounts added right to your totals.

For those of us who do not have her yet, do you recommend that we shoot for Avril first? Or, save the items for Meg?

It depends on your personal Game Play. If you think its gonna be a while, it may be better to clear the timed Character first. If you feel you have the time to run a couple Concerts to get what you need… then go for Avril first.

I found out that the Meg timer started today (two days late). I have the building for Avril almost done and need one more hockey puck(?) to finish her, but it will take some of the picks and the glow bracelets away that I saved for Meg.

You can make them up FAST on Concerts and Encores. It is really easy. So base your game play on what you CAN do… and see what is worth it to you. 😉

I did my first Avril concert, and it crashed after 1 minute. When I rebooted, it said the concert had ended, and it recorded only 10 of the 20 stars I had already earned, and I lost the chance at the other 20 stars. I notified them in-game but wont hold my breath.

Outside of seeing the running total on the Characters before they unlock, unfortunately… no. I am going to ask them if they keep them round if there can be a total somewhere listed for them.

Do eh fans only spawn on roads? So should I destroy all my roads in town (I have a ton) and just make a small section in the corner of my map? Will they only spawn there or will they still spawn in gaps in all my buildings where the roads used to be? Thanks. I’ve never cared much about “herding” or rearranging my town because the spawn times have never really been timed. (Maybe once before, but can’t remember)

You do not really have to “destroy” your town. All you are doing is pulling up roads. If you don’t put anything in the way, it is simple to put them right back down. 😉
But yes, ONLY on the Roads. So try to keep them where you can see them. If anything… pull them all and keep on batch close by the stage.

Great tips as always. My only nit is during an encoure the last “group” of girls didn’t pop up until there was only 15 seconds left. Despite my best efforts and only having a small patch of road in my town there was no way to clear all of them to get 5 stars. What was really amusing was the 48 seconds that went by when none popped.

I have been relaying all my personal results to them in case some “tweaking” is needed. I ran about… 10 or 12 Concerts now testing it. Feel free to pass on your thoughts too. 😉

I don’t know if anyone has suggested this, but I found this to help with characters on the sidewalks while performing a concert or encore. On one corner of your map, have a small patch of road for a while so all of your characters are performing their tasks on it. Right before you perform a concert or encore, add some roads in the complete opposite corner and remove the first roads. Within the two minutes you have, your characters won’t be able to make it that far. I was able to get 78/80 my first encore. The fans didn’t spawn quick enough for all 80 stars.

Nothing released time wise… but like in the recap of Q&A, you also have to be on Part 7 to go forward in Phase 2… so in theory you can still extend it til you trigger the new content. I will know more once it goes live.

The new Phase 2 Content drops today, we do not know what time… but it will be today. Once it drops, MORE musicians will come. That means they may take the stage liek Avril did with items you need to gain and them to unlock. Just like Avril.
So, once it goes live I will know everything that it will involve for the Stage. If it eliminates the Encores until you unlock the next musician, then you can’t use it for Glowsticks and Guitar Picks. Limited info now… more when it goes live.
I am saying if you are NOT on PeterPalooza Part 7… you may want to wait to complete it. Leaving the option of Encores open. Again, this is ONLY if you want to go this route to get the items. Otherwise… just play on and no big deal. Unlock the Next Musician, start another Concert, back to the Encores.

Well now I’m a little confused, I had my first concert, working in getting the stuff for an encore, but the tasks are 8 and 12 hrs, from now. So I’m not sure if its worth it to try?
I emailed them as I didn’t get to start right away due to the delay with the Amazon App ( I know they don’t control that, but neither do I )
SO I’ll try and see if I can get an ENCORE in, I saw the pop up about it but it went away so quick I didn’t read all of it.
Does the next part just start automatically or do we have to do an Update?
(I was hoping that we’d have to Update, and if that were delayed like the beginning I could get an Encore or 3 in)
Maybe if people who are in the same boat mention it they can put some kind of fix in?!
Would hate to have Avril for just the one concert and no encores before I have to start unlocking another musician!
Will let you know how it goes, my concert was a 40/40 so I got 50 picks, just need 25 for Meg now! 🙂

I’ll try, but I’m thinking it may be because you had done an encore or maybe got the recording (Google vs Amazon?!) I had already put the characters in for the tasks so I’ll see if it lets me go thru with it or if I can try the Rag Doll Trick I love moving them around like that, just found that out in the Q & A I noticed it and I love it!! 😉

When I unlocked avril it said that I get to download her new album. I hit redeem and it says 0.00 but it wants me to enter a code?? Did you get this message?

How are you contacting them? Via in the game or through email? Do you get auto replies? If so, do you respond to every one? Do you follow up after 5 days?
Remember, they are little. They are nothing like the massive Gaming House Giants that outsourse their Customer Service to thousands of Call Center Agents worldwide. Every bit is done in house. Essentially imagine standing in line behind thousands of people with one person helping all those people and you’ll get an idea. I know it takes more time, but it is due to they are so small.

You will need a credit card on file, but it’s charging you $9.99 and crediting $9.99 in one transaction so the card won’t be charged.

There should be a code to enter so u can get it for free, but I never got one & I don’t want to enter my card because I don’t want to be charged for anything. So where’s the code???

You won’t be charged and it is a requirement put in place by the App Market Google Play. There really isn’t no way around it. Google Play and Apple both require it for their Markets. Talk to Google Play about it if you have issue. It is their Market.
Your code comes with the Character once you unlock them and go through the steps. It automatically places it in there for you. I have gotten all the available ones now and I have not been charged one single cent. I even get a confirmation email from Google Play each time to my linked email to it showing the invoice for the “Purchase”. Like this…

If you look at my Character Posts for the Musicians… you will also see each and every single one still shows the $$ balance I have had sitting on that account for a long time now. My entire 59 cents. Lol.

I suggest a much smaller street layout that the example show above. using 10 street sections in a rought T shape was able to get 5/5 stars with 1 minute left on the timer. fans kept spawning so I tapped them for bonus glowsticks. If I can keep it up with the encores make-over meg will be unlocked in no time.
The premium guitar pick dropping item seems like a terrible investment dropping only 1 pick at a time. much faster to get them free…

Were you able to get 5/5 on the concert or on the encore? The initial concert appears to be easier. I’ve been looking to see if ANYONE has gotten 5/5 on the encore performance yet.

Sorry to bother you but I have searches al through and probably missed it, is there a Questline task breakdown for Rock star Peter? I have “DO You Wanna Rock Pt 1: Peter trashes the hotel room, was looking to see the rest of the tasks so I could line up other characters that I might need to be free for the rest of the quest and I keep getting pushed back to the main questline which just has the info that Peter does have this questline, and can’t find any link from there?
I used the search and everything, just maybe missing it or Word Press is messing with me?! 😉

TY! I got it worked out, when I was waiting for Amazon to drop the Update, I kept everyone on 1-4 hr tasks and so I was ready to go when I installed it! Thanks for all the help! I got that (100 glow sticks, 50 picks) on the first encore also with Peter as performer. It said something about 80/80, didn’t look at stars. Loads of fans left, though.

I’m confused. I just started an encore and my game froze. When it loaded back up it said something about encores only being available until the next phase, which starts tomorrow. Does that mean I started the encore in vain and I won’t be able to actually finish out the encore in the morning?

If you’re talking about the pop up with Avril… all it said is part 2 coming later today. So if there’s another musician, they’ll want the stage to unlock them for a concert just like Avril… then back to Encores again.

I won’t know the exacts til it goes live today… but that’s how I perceived the pop up. If anything… just don’t trigger the new stuff. You also got to be on Part 7 to go into Phase 2 (see Q&A recap post)

Is anyone else having a problem getting the Punk Junk store? I have everything else for Avril, but every time I click on the Punk Junk store my game crashes…black screen, no error message. I really want to start the concerts, but I can’t get that store!

Think of it this way… you’re expecting a Musician to perform in California while they’re across the globe performing in the UK. Can’t be in two places at once.

I got that message when I tried to perform a concert but hadn’t gotten far enough in the questline. As soon as I reached the right point in the questline everything worked well.

2 questions. Is there a visible difference between the regular female fans and the ones that appear during a concert?
I have completed one concert. I did not see the pop up after completion telling me how I did. I did get the rewards. Is there something I need to tap on after the concert or is it possible I was just too tap happy at the 2 minute mark and went right past it?
PS. Did Tiny Matt say anything about the spare square?

Exact same. That’s why I suggest clear the roads prior to launching a Concert. If any left behind AFTER a Concert, you will know as they only drops coins. Where as the daily spawned ones drop +2 Glowsticks.
End is quick. Probably just rapid tapped through it.

If I make a special road during the concert just for the concert spawn, delete the road after the concert, and build a new road in another place, will the concert spawn stay in the old spot with no roads or migrate to the new one? Since there is no difference between regular and concert spawn, I’m trying to figure out a way to keep them separated.

They follow roads. In mine… they spawned so freakin fast it didn’t matter (I tried too). I was invaded no matter where the road was… they found me. 😉

Okay. Good to know. I was hoping to stockpile them after the concert was over (lack 2 hockey pucks -_- ) to use for the encore.

Got 5 stars on my first concert, quite surprised as I was frantically scanning the crowded Quahog “shopping district” when the last wave of fans came up, so I’m relieved to know that the new Meg costume will be easy to obtain. This is probably the best event so far in terms of ease of character acquisition. And hey, a free album code is cool, too.

Just to clarify: for the Encore concerts, is it necessary to send characters for the prerequisite tasks before EACH Encore? Or do you only have to do that one time?

I sent them off as soon as they completed the task the first time, just to get them out of the way and starting the timer on that task as soon as I could (as they are long times).
When you decide to start the tasks going will be up to you and what works best for your personal game play. 😉

I must’ve worded my question incorrectly, because I’m not sure I understand your answer. I’ll try to elucidate a bit better.
I’m about to start my first Avril concert. Afterwards, I plan on sending characters for the prerequisite tasks for the Encore concert. Once they are finished, I’ll start the Encore concert.
Now, after that Encore concert is complete, will I have to send Avril, Peter, Quagmire and Joe on those same tasks AGAIN before starting a subsequent Encore? Or can you just keep running Encores now that those prerequisite tasks have been completed?

AH… got yah. Each Concert is unique, so it isn’t one and done. You have to keep sending them on the tasks it asks for every Concert until it says 100% Complete and “START CONCERT” lights up.
4 tasks per Encore Concert have to be completed. Every single time.

I checked to see other comments if this was discussed before. Sorry if it was asked but is the amount of fan girl spawning during a concert random? It’s definitely a ghost road or my ability to tap fast enough but I cleared 28/40 girls in about 35 seconds and for the remainder of the concert nothing else spawned so I lost the chance at 5 stars on the first try. Is this a glitch? For example for an encore are 80 fan girls supposed to spawn in 2 mins?

I posted my results. My tips are make sure your road is clear of ANY already there from the basic daily spawns. So NONE on roads at all.
Also, try to go to your “road” menu to see if there is one behind a building you missed.
Then keep all characters off the road if you can, and START CONCERT. Then immediately jump to your street and tap. Each time I saw 2 spawns of about 20 each. They vary and the stars they payout vary. So it is not really the amount, but the stars they give you.
If you are not sure if you missed some, tap on the stage and it will pop up the Concert info with the Fan Girl. Tapping on “GO” under her will take you to any in your town. Long way round and takes time, but it also lets you know if you got them all. 😉

Ty for the tips bunny. Tonight i’m going for an encore. I’ll try again to see if it happens again with the go button and all. I keep checking behind buildings to see if there are patches of road i missed but all the characters i have roam in the road place i have so i’m assuming thats the only road place i have since i haven’t lost any fan girls toads or any other characters around the map yet. I’ll try again tonight and post if anything different happens.

Do we know how long we have to complete an encore before the option is gone?

? They are unlimited. I have done about 15 of them. Or are you asking if they go away next week’s content release? If so, we can’t answer that until next week but I assume the stage is there to stay as 3 other Musicians are waiting in limbo for those VIP Chairs.

Oh perfect, no I was wondering if we had a certain amount of time to complete the tasks for the encore before that option went away. Like 12 hours or something along those lines.

The questline is set, so no time limit. The Concerts (like stated in this post) are all only 2 minutes long. So that is the only time restraint you have. Outside that, just send Characters on the tasks and Start Concerts… repeat. 😉

This is very helpful! I do have a question though… For me, Avril needs a Peter Palooza sign instead of the tent, but when I purchased it I got a check mark that I bought it but it didn’t go anywhere, in fact my game froze and I was kicked out (which has been quite frequent since the update).. When I went back in, is wasn’t greyed out, I don’t have the item, the check mark is there indicating I own it and my little glow stick things are gone indicating I spent the 20 for the sign… Idk of anyone else is having this problem but I thought I would try this route before spending more to buy it and have my game freeze again and so on.. Thanks!!!

Go with what YOUR game asks you to pick up. It is an instant place on land, so if it did not go there… check your inventory storage. The ALL and Decorations tabs.

I’ve been having freezes since the update also (iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3). This is extremely unusual for me, the only other time was when I hadn’t updated as needed for the firefighters event (I think that was the one). They aren’t constant and I haven’t had one in a while. So maybe it’s fixed. I always do a hard quit and I’ve powered down.

I am seeing it in both games right now. How impact and memory intense Events will cause it.
Store all animation you can, Store Walking Decos, keep non essential Characters on indoor tasks or Inventory, and help keep the memory drain low. 😉

Can you start a concert before you are prompted? And BTW, not sure if it was mentioned but on the splash screen you can see Carl in the crowd in the lower right hand corner. Possible character since he doesn’t show videos anymore?

I can confirm that I got 50 Guitar Picks when I got 5 Stars 40/40 fans for the first concert. I cannot confirm the glow stick payout. I think it was 100 but was not paying attention to that, totally focused on picks at the time. For me the last few fans spawned with about 15 seconds to go on the timer. I have removed all my roads in my town except a little strip that I can entirely see. This helps with toad clearing too.
