Hey there Music Fans!
Phase 2 has hit our games and with it some more Concert Stage Changes. We now have up to 4 available to go on Stage for an Encore. So what all goes into it?
What additional requirements are there to Perform Concerts?
In this post I wanted to go over the Phase 2 Basics of the Concert Area and what you can do to help give your game a boost in Materials.
CONCERT STAGE
By now, you should be quite familiar with this area. You will find the stage surround by a bunch of kids busy on their Smart Devices hanging around the Event Area of the game. 
In order to start a Concert, you will need a Musician. In Phase 2, that Musician is Joe Lion. So you will want to focus on unlocking him and gain access once again to the stage. Tapping on the stage will Pop Up the requirements for Joe Lion in Phase 2.
Concerts are a HUGE source of Glowsticks and Guitar Picks, so you will want to do them whenever you can.
HOW DO I START A CONCERT?
For Phase 2, when you tap on the Stage it will tell you WHAT Joe will want in order to Perform.
Here is the list of items you will need for Joe Lion (scrolling left and right will show them all). Tapping on “GO” under any of them will take you directly to the item.

As you collect each of these items, they will show a check mark that you got them and darken out. The “COMPLETED” portion will also show the change in % done. You will also see it tells you “NOT READY”.
Once you get all the items, it will then show “COMPLETED” 100%, and the Button in the middle will change to “START CONCERT”. Tap on it.
Tapping on START CONCERT will take you to a 2nd screen. Here is where you will see the options of Musicians to select from. Just Joe Lion is available at this time. You can CANCEL the choice or go ahead and tap on “START CONCERT” to let Joe begin to play.
You will now see the Pop Up telling you to go find Fans to tap on. Fans will drop items like Glowsticks, Coins, and Stars. You will want to get as many as you can as fast as you can. You have 2 minutes to tap on as many as you can. They will spawn in a large group and respawn not much longer after you clear the prior batch. So… move fast.
If you tap on the Concert Stage, you will see Joe Lion’s Concert is out of 100 Stars.
When the time runs out, you will be shown how many Stars you got and what payout you received.
Joe Lion Concert: I got 100/100 Stars in the 2 minutes and my Payout was… 150 Glowsticks

HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE FOR THE CONCERT
2 minutes. You will see the timer over the Event Stage above the Musician. You can also see it by tapping on the Stage. This starts the second you tap on “START CONCERT”, so move quickly to your road once you do.
HOW/WHERE DO THE FANS SPAWN?
For me, the Female Fans spawned in a HUGE group of like 15-20 at a time on my Quahog Streets. I cleared them as fast as I could. Another 15-20 or so Spawned around 30-60secs later.
This is where having roads in locations you can clearly see is good as you want to tap as many as you can in the 2 minutes time frame. The more the better. Also it is a good idea to not have any other Characters on the roads for “accidental” tapping.
Tapping on them paid out 1-2 Stars each and +1 Glowsticks. (Once you MAX out the Star Requirement, they drop Coins instead.)
Note: If you do NOT clear them all and miss some, they will still wander your town after the Concert. You can still clear them for some more +1 Glowsticks and Coins.
ENCORE CONCERTS
Once you get Joe Lion’s Concert out of the way after convincing, you have the ability now to run unlimited amounts of Encore Concerts. At this point you will have access to Four Musicians (depending on who you own). Snoop Dogg, Avril, Rockstar Peter, and Joe Lion.
Encore Concerts will be a lil bit harder to get all 5 stars as they will have higher Star requirement to reach, but it is still a great way to earn Glowsticks and Guitar Picks.
HOW DO I START AN ENCORE CONCERT?
Similar to a Regular Concert, you will have to complete items in order to have the Musicians perform.
For the Encore Concerts after Joe Lion, I saw a variety of tasks. Tap on the Concert Stage to see what tasks YOUR game requires you to fulfill for the Encores.
Here is how they played out in my game…
1st Encore Concert Requirements
- Get Hydration Station: Cost 170 Glowsticks
- Joe Lion Grow White People Dreadlocks: 12hrs
- Avril Perform a Secret Show: 10hrs
- Play for a Toad User: 3hrs (They spawn 1 every 6hrs and Rockstar Peter has to clear them)
2nd & 3rd Encore Requirements
- Joe Lion Perform Rasta Jams: 8hrs
- Joe Lion Wear a Smelly Rasta Cap: 6hrs
- Rockstar Peter Hang Out Backstage: 10hrs
Once you have all the Encore Task Requirements complete, you will see a similar scenario. The screen will show 100% Complete, all the tasks checked off and darkened, and the option to “START CONCERT” now highlighted. Tap on it.
The next few screens will look a little different. First you will be taken to the Performers in the game screen. It will show you how many you currently have available for the Encore and if they are Ready or Busy on another task. Tap “START CONCERT”.
Then you will be taken to select one of those available Musician you want to do the Encore Performance. (I did not see a difference in using either one.) Choose your Performer by tapping on them.
A check mark will show up next to the one you selected. You can now “START CONCERT”.
HOW MUCH TIME IS THE ENCORE CONCERT?
Same as the regular Concert, you will have 2 minutes to quickly tap as many Fans as you possibly can to gain Stars.
WHAT IS THE STAR AMOUNT FOR ENCORES?
In my game, it did not matter WHO I picked… they all had the same Requirements and payouts. 120 Stars
WHAT WAS THE PAYOUT FOR ENCORE?
For me, I was able to get 5 Stars each and every time in the Encores. All of them paid out the same.

WHY CAN’T I SELECT A PERFORMER?
If you are not able to Select a Performer, it is a good chance they are Busy on another task in the game. For instance, I had Snoop on a task for his questline. Due to he was on the his task, the option to use him showed “Busy”. Tapping on “GO” under him took me to where he was on the task.
In the Select a Performer Screen, he was grayed out as well and you could not tap on him to place a check mark under him and use him to perform.
Side Note: This is my “hint” to getting MORE Stars if you want to try it. Essentially I left the last Spawn of Fans from the previous Concert, so I had 15 already roaming the streets before the Concert started. These were the CONCERT FANS from the previous one. Do not mistake them for the Regular spawning Female Fans. Those will not work.
The payouts each Concert are already fairly generous as is, so this may not really be worth it… but just wanted to put it out there. Just in case it does come in handy later down the line in the Event. 🙂
WHAT ABOUT THE SECRET CONCERTS?
I will not mess around with them any longer as they are not supposed to be in the game and I will not risk it any further. I rely too much on my game. So, the choice is YOURS if you take the risk. None of it is guaranteed in anyway. The payouts may or may not work.
WHAT ABOUT HARCORE ENCORE?
As the game pop ups warned us in advance… Encores ended when Phase 2 launched into the game. (Similar may happen in Phase 3.)
Due to this, Joe Lion took over the stage. Many were not done though with Phase 1 Main Questline, PeterPalooza. Specifically the task “Hardcore Encore”.
My best suggestion is this, as Avril was the Main Musician on stage in Phase 1… perform an Encore with her to clear the task. If you still can’t clear it no matter if you tried her or Rockstar Peter on an Encore, reach out to TinyCo from your game.

I still have the hardcore encore task to complete. I’ve never been able to do an encore because by the time I would finish a concert the next character would take the stage. I’ve done the final concert, I’m just waiting to defeat mecha Astley for a second time to be able to perform an encore. Will doing the encore with any character work to clear hardcore encore or is it a certain one?

Has anyone successfully completed/cleared the “Hardcore Encore” questline after Phase 1? I performed an encore concert with Avril, thinking that would clear it, but it didn’t. I’ll try again with Peter, after I unlock Carl and go through the Phase 4 Encore tasks/requirements, but figured I’d ask on here, too.

It seems a mix of Peter or Avril. Just make sure you tap on the task in the task menu first (“GO”) then start it.

So I’m a tad bit confused. I just unlocked Joe lion and have all the other requirements for performing a concert. He is currently on a mission, so I’m waiting a bit to lessen the clam load to speed him up. My main concern is that during phase 1, as you mentioned, encores were gotten rid of as soon as you entered phase 2. I was quite perturbed at the time, because I had already met the requirements and was so close to performing the encore. And more importantly receiving the sweet, and much needed rewards. I very much want to get rapper Brian, and unfortunatelu can’t afford to purchase with clams. I only need 2 concert tickets and of course the 70 skull guitar picks, since I just used all of them to unlock Joe lion. Long story short, with time running out to obtain rapper brian, I need to be able to do an encore to have a chance at getting the guitar picks. Since it says that festival fail part 7(hold a joe lion concert) will trigger phase 3, does that mean that we won’t be able to perform an encore again?

Basically what I’m asking, is if there is a way to perform an encore, without activating phase 3 and killing your encore chances? As it is quite early here, and I believe you guys are located on the west coast, I might just find out for myself before you have a chance to answer. Hoping for the encore 🙂 lol.

Peter and Avril have been stuck on stage now for several days .. When I try to collect Peter reward the game crashes ….. I have reported it to tinyco but had no response … So I cannot use the concert stage or Peter or Avril.

Hi there… I’m having trouble trying to do an encore concert. Every time I click on the stage it just shows me requirements for my next performer. I’ve never seen an encore option. Is there something I am missing?

As soon as a New Performer shows up, they will take the stage. You will have to clear their requirements off the stage to unlock an Encore.

Performed an encore concert. It is taking multiple taps per girl to clear and obtain the stars. Sometimes as many as five taps. Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing this?

what is the quest that needs to be finished to start week 3 content? I’m waiting on the joe lion concert because I’m 2 tix away from unlocking rapper brian. that plan work if I wait on doing the concert?

Annoyed – I paid clams to get Peter out of a task so I could do an encore concert. Halfway through my encore concert and I’m happily tapping away and the game and I get “lost connection to the server” and now it won’t let me back in – I was doing well and most likely would have gotten the 120 stars needed and now I don’t know if I’ll even get anything… Just venting – I know there’s nothing you can do about it… 🙂

So can someone help me with the task called hardcore encore and the task is hold a Peterpalooza encore and I did that with Peter and it did not complete the task I seen some people say try Avril on the concert does anyone know if this works to complete it and if not what do I need to do and if Avril works let me know ASAP thanks

To complete the “Hardcore Encore” task…I clicked on the task, then “go”, which took me to the stage. I used Hardcore Peter for the encore and, when the concert was over, I was awarded for completion.

I didn’t get an encore in the first part, I have now performed two with Joe’s content, the first with him didn’t clear it, then I used Peter and it did. I messaged TinyCo, I was doing a concert and yet again I missed out on the full rating because of another NPC. Yesterday I needed 9 stars, and today 4, both were out of 120. I didn’t mind yesterday really, but today I had cleared anything I could from my roads and pavements. I only have two strips of road, I was doing well, but then a Chumba Wumba spawned and in my frantic tapping, I hit him, it then took me to Stewie so that I could clear it, then I accidentally sped up his task for 19 clams. Also, if I hadn’t done that, I could have tapped the two fans that I needed. I hope I can get my clams back, unfortunately I guess it is my fault, but I wish we could move NPCs away if we don’t own them. I kept all of my owned NPCs away but I can’t control several of the event and district ones. I got the skins for Joe and Brian the other day too, and now Toad-Users and Bee Swarms don’t drop anything but coins which annoys me. Only concerts and the Pick Stand give them to me now. I’m just stockpiling honey for when I will need them again.

Is there any use for hacky sacks after getting rapper Brian? I was thinking of getting Snoop but it wouldn’t really be worth it if he doesn’t do anything after getting the Brian skin…

I depleted my stash of earned clams to get Snoop just because I wanted him in my game. I didn’t need his hacky sacks for Brian. I got those without him fast enough. He only drops one about every 8 hours if you put him on the bouncy car task. The bee girls dropped a hacky sack every other beekeeper rescue, so once they appear it’s easy. Collecting honey for the beekeeper is easy also, five characters can collect it. So get S lol for Snoop, not for hacky sacks.

Any idea if we need tickets after we get rapper Brian? The greased up dead guy is dropping money and not tickets, but the concerts are still dropping tickets.

I used the little trick I read about here by dragging and dropping Avril on the stage and it wasn’t a two minute concert it’s a 24 hour concert so I tried it again and once again it’s a 24 hour concert is anybody else having this happen to them

I don’t know if this is the place to post this, but I can’t log into my game! I performed a secret concert and now that it is done it says it is displaying a message for a nonexistent reward and won’t let me in.

Happened to me too a couple of minutes ago. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and after a couple of initial crashes it worked again. It didn’t give me any credit for the five stars I had earned from the concert, but at least I was back in. Just make sure you are logged in with Facebook or an email before you uninstall!

I know all the characters who have tasks for the glow sticks changed. What are all the characters that do pay out glow sticks?

It is pretty much all the exact same Characters (different tasks) minus Connie. Then add Snoop, Joe Lion, and Brian.

Hey guys just a tip (but use it at your own risk because it uses the “secret concert” ; dont use more than one character either) Ok so i tried dragging avril to the stage and it started the concert where the fans would not stopping coming. You can keep tapping them and getting glow sticks (but it will take FOREVER to get anywhere). So i waited the 24 hours and got my rewards ( 3 tickets, picks , and some glow sticks). This apparently counted as joe lions concert because right now im working on unlocking my first encore for joe and i still am working on getting joe lion. Because of this i was able to unlock pretty much everything from the merch booth and complete festival fail without even unlocking joe lion. Thanks for reading and hopefully this helps someone.

I can’t even start PeterPalooza. I can’t tap on Avril’s chair to fix it but I still have the “options” to fix valentines day’s buildings! Also the Halloween cauldron and the present factory are still there, but have no interactions (sound comes from the cauldron still) and have been stuck there. Usually they dissapear for events but now it seems they’re blocking the vip chairs.I can’t report from my game, it crashes when I try. I really wanted Avril…

Sounds like your game is all sorts of messed up. I would suggest to wipe out whatever mess of a file it is that you are currently using to play the game and download a clean copy of the game directly from the app market.

Okay so I hope you’ll still see this. I tried this and it didn’t help. As soon as I logged back in all that stuff came back. I’ve cleared data, cache and uninstalled several times. Still crashes if I tap the “Help and Support” button. I don’t know what to do

I can’t seem to edit my comment to add this in, but I decided to try and play via facebook and my account is sycned there, but it also has all of the items. “Morning arousal coffee” Casaroja movie theater” and the Christmas present factory. This makes me think it’s something with my account.

Any suggestion on getting them to fix my game? Messaged them multiple times over the last 30 hours because I’m getting an error message from doing a secret concert.

Wait. Keep in mind they are Tiny. Everything is done in house. They don’t outsource to scripted call center reps worldwide like other gaming house giants. So patience. Give them time to respond to you. Sending multiple messages over and over just floods them with more to go through and actually causes more delays for all players needing help. They will get to you.
In the meantime, you can try some basics if you want to see if that helps as a patch was pushed out to help with the consuela error.

Question: When doing the encore concerts it pays out tickets. Are they kept somewhere to be used later like glow sticks and picks or are they just dropped? Counters for picks and tickets would be great as a suggestion for Tinyco.

I still don’t like the fact that they keep doing this short-time hunting of moving targets over and over again, where you only have the best chances when your Quahog looks basically hideous. They keep dumping so many buildings and decos on our games with such a limited amount of land that it’s more or less inevitable to be unable to have a decent – or at least somewhat eye-pleasing – design.
But the good thing is that I don’t have any ambitions left with regards to TQFS. I just play along and see what I get. I no longer set alarms to optimize gameplay, nor do I get mad at something not dropping.
Unfortunately for TinyCo this means they’re not going to see me buy any more clams.

I’m in phase 2 and I am doing Encores, the last one all my fan girls got used, none of the regular ones ( glow sticks) have spawned since, It’s been about 4 hours, I’ve seen a couple of frogs, and the Hippie Bee Girls have re-spawned but not the regular fan girls, not sure if you have seen this if you are leaving fans, I was, but this last encore it took them all to finish and I guess I ran out of time before they re-spawned.
Also I haven’t seen the Greased Up Deaf Guy except 3 times, I cleared the Main Quest-line and got Rapper Brian, the last time I tapped GUDG he just gave a coin,
Is there any word on when we move to the next part, I know the 1st week seemed short to many, not in a hurry but also trying to optimize my Encore’s

Next part I assume will be Thursday. That is typical. Your time on Greased up deaf guy seems normal. Bout once a day. 12-15hrs before he shows up from what I am seeing and others.

Any idea the max number of GUDG’s allowed at the same time? I just got all the tickets for Rapper Brian, so I was planning on holding off on tapping until after the new character on Thur, but didn’t know if the trouble of not hitting him was worth it if only one was available at a time.
