Hey there Toady Roadies!
Bouncing by with a quick reminder that Phase 4 will be dropping on in sometime AFTER 3PM Pacific today!
This means we will have more items added to the game, a possible Musician change, maybe even more Event Staff? The Leaderboard too will stop at 3PM Pacific and close out.
Due to the new Phase coming, I wanted to quickly run down a few tips.
LEADERBOARD
I know this is a sore spot for many of you, but plain and simple… it is a “SIDE” feature. Any player can change their game style at any moment. Going Freemium to Premium can be simple and easy. YOU can’t personally control what someone wants to do or spend in their own game. You only control you.
If YOU want to tackle that 1 in 30 “Chance” at a Costume for a Main Game Character that is used every time anything hits the game, that is YOUR choice. Just remember, there are 30 others that may be thinking the same. Those results can change at the drop of a hat. So use caution, play wisely, in the end judge if it is really worth it to YOU for that item. 3 months from now, will you still be happy at all you put in for what you get out of it?
Otherwise, lots of other things going on in the Event to look at instead. 😉
LEAVE ITEMS UNTAPPED
For me, I like to leave some of EVERY item untapped in the game. This can be anything from Buildings, Characters, Spotted Toads, Bee Girls, Bears, etc. This way once the change over happens tapping on these items right after may give me instant access to a new item or Material drop needed.
GO ON OR WAIT?
IF a New Musician hits the Stage, we will once again have to clear them off to use it. Due to this, you may want to hold off running an Encore Concert if the items/tasks won’t be useful once the new stuff hits.
For Example, if you JUST start a Character Task for the Encore requirements and the timer won’t end until AFTER Phase 4 hits… you may be wasting your time when new requirements take its place. So… use your personal judgment on this one.
Same goes for buying items in the Merch Kiosk. If you do not need them right now, saving those Materials for when the new stuff hits may be a more beneficial move for you.
REQUIREMENTS
I was able to get Clarification on the Phase 4 requirements, you WILL need Grin & Bear it Part 5 done to move forward.
Now before you panic and freak out, keep in mind we have NO idea what will be in store yet… so wait. See if the Stage will even be needed. Don’t jump to conclusions until we fully see how Phase 4 will be laid out. You never know if it won’t matter.
As we learned with the Leaderboards, just due to it was launched at a certain time does not mean you don’t have access. MANY new things in Phase 4 could very well be accessible to all Player Phase levels. So just wait.
KEEP UP TO DATE
Always check the App Market to make sure you are on the most current App Version of the game. This will ensure you have access to any changes or features that have come along with those Updates. Especially if the new Phase requires some items it has. So it is a good idea to keep an eye out. Put your App Settings on auto update if you want.
BE RESPECTFUL
Remember, we are here to HELP. We provide info to HELP. Be respectful of this concept and our Site Guidelines.
It does NOT help anyone to come to a post full of venting, flame wars, or pitchfork committees. Wanna blow off steam? Take it to What the Deuce. Or take it to those that OWN the game, TinyCo. Otherwise, what is the point of this site even existing if all our work just gets destroyed by hatred and anger flooding each and every post we work hard to put up for something WE do not own nor do WE control?

With the new timed event I need to clear 12 bee girls. The problem is they aren’t spawning fast enough. This is going to be a close one. The Bears and joe were easy to get done.

i totally missed out on moving up on that leaderboard because of the fact i couldn’t do a concert OR encore whatsoever during the whole time since it has ever been released… i’m STILL trying to get Rockstar Peter to drop those boots for Alice Cooper, but i’m ONLY needing 2 more i believe. And no i do not have the other guy who can get boots too because i don’t have 4,000 glowsticks saved up yet lol. of course i can see other players frustration as we move farther into this event, but jeezZz! COME ON PEOPLE! y’all act like playin this game is a difficult FULL-TIME JOB of some sort HAAA!!! Most forget to realize&& understand that this game is for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY! *NOT to get stressed out wit every new content that is released! Like ya said Bunny, angry mobs of pitchfork and torch-wielding playas just can’t seem to see the bigger picture anymore! For myself, i qualified ONLY in last place for the leaderboard because i ended wit 42 blammys and won what 1,000 coins i think that’s what it is(that is definitely NOT gonna help me out whatsoever cause i have almost 4million coins lmao!), but you do NOT see me typing up very angry comments on here because i do have ALOT of respect for Bunny and Alissa! They do so much for us&&it’s unbelievable how they even can find all this time in their personal lives to keep us ALL updated wit our games! i’ve said this a million times before&& i SHALL SAY IT AGAIN!: if you can’t have any type of fun and ENTERTAINMENT from playing, then it’s time for you to just uninstall and QUIT because it’s NOT fun at all to you anymore if you continue to play MISERABLY and stressed out! it’s NOT worth it at all to be getting so stressed out over a game seriously! 👎👊✌

I actually shelled out some clams to get Alice a day or two after he showed up, because of what I’ve been reading here and because I had just tested myself to see clams. I paid through the nose but it’s been so worth it. I was on top of my leaderboard with about 10 blammies ahead. Could have gotten more with another concert but didn’t want to seem like I’m cheating lol.
I have to say you guys are doing a really great job. I don’t comment much but I’m on here pretty much every day. Keep up the good work!

I was in first place on my leaderboard at 1 minute til 3 pacific time, 115 blammies ahead of second place. Who knows when my leaderboard had last updated so that rank could misleading. I’m cautiously hopeful that my lead will hold up.

I ended up having 388 blammies and being first on my leaderboard this afternoon WITHOUT using a single clam. It can be done. You just have to strategize the right way.

Agreed..got Alice 3 days in without paying anything and have had rwo concerts daily since..finished with around 240 (them taking away the extra chance at blammies during the concert benefited the top 2 who had 200+ going into day 3..not me)..this morning someone that wasn’t in top 10 skyrocketed to first with around 350…I could live without another Peter costume lol

Are there a lot of people who don’t have Alice Cooper yet? I need 3 more leopard skin boots. They are rare drops with only 2 characters dropping them with 8-hour tasks. I didn’t get Belgard until recently so it’s been slow. Only got Belgard, because of the secret concerts.

I wish I can see what I am qualified for. I was first place 2 minutes before the leaderboards ended but the 2nd place player was 3 Blammys below me. Now it’s stressing me out waiting to see if I made it or not.

You will know within a week the final results. They said 4-7 days after it closed we will start to see Prizes given out for placement.

I know the leaderboard was a side event, haven’t been able to unlock Alice yet to get the big drops. Would have been nice if there was an alternate way to do concerts in this phase to give everyone a chance at top of the leaderboard… Unless I missed something?

I agree. It was a bottle neck sore point. Let’s hope this next Phase goes smoother. Overall if you take out Alice Hiccup… Phase 1 and 2 ran pretty smooth.

I intentionally skipped a day to see if he disappeared, so 9 for me. It seems right to have that amount due to you get lucky to see him more than once a day… only if you are constantly in there do you grab him twice here and there.

I have 11 Greased up Deaf guy catches, they seem to drop once per day so I think it will be on Monday that I will have all 15 times, assuming everyone else has caught him once per day everyone should be getting him around Monday or Tuesday.
That is of course just a completed task, does not mean there won’t be a PT. 6 to the task.

Well, i was in 4th place and was very down the ladder but towards the last 2 days after i got alice and becuz of the info u girls gave out i was able to prepare all of them for the encore and just shot right up to 1st place. I even double the guy in second. All that without spending a clam. Thanks girls, very awesome as usual!!

So everything us “pitchforkers” were predicting last week after the alice update hit, came true – I still don’t have alice or belgard unlocked and alice is required to advance. TinyCo is all too predictable with their insanity. I have not had boots drop in 3 days. I have sent Peter on the 8 hour task roughly 18 times total. As I have said before and I’ll keep saying until they change it, if they are expecting us to complete a questline in a week’s time in order to progress with the event, that questline has to be 100% doable with regular gameplay (logging in approx. 5 or 6 times a day or more)

So far… Phase 3 has been the ONLY one that has tripped up this Event. The rest went just fine, very nicely paced… so yes… pitchforks for ONE aspect. Wait and see how it plays out. Things can always look better on paper but react different when it plays out live/ goes public for millions to use. Anyone in any business anywhere can tell you that.
I am in no way saying that what happened was all butterflies and cupcakes, I am saying if you struggle… respond to them via your game. Tell THEM where you are vs supposed to be. It does not mean it is OK to come here and tear down every single post with very helpful info for one aspect. Period.
I will now see how Phase 4 plays out in the game. If it is back on track… awesome. We still have over 20 days of this Event. Still LOTS of time to “catch” up and get everything. I think the main sour point Alice created was on the Leaderboard side. Take that out of the equation and I can guarantee you the frustrations with Alice would not have been as high.

It is very fustrating when they do the leaderboard thing. I didn’t even care this time around because of how much i spend last time and felt like it was not worth all that money so this time i ignore until the end and didn’t care where i was on the leaderboard. It was just awesome (becuz of u girls) that i happens to be in 1st place especially not having to spend anything during this event.

Leaderboards bring out competition. Putting people up against one another brings out that “ME ME ME” mentality. Sadly, the more I play the more I see that mentality go south and create havoc and it is really sad. All I can hear is my Dad saying, “Don’t be a sore loser” “Don’t be a poor sport” “Be grateful for the Challenge, not the award” “Play to play and have fun, not for just the trinket at the end. You’ll end up with tons of dusty boxes of trinkets and no fond memories of why you have them” “Earn friends not awards”.
Can you tell I played a lot of games my entire life? Lol. 😉

worst yet the quest to proceed to next phase is actually unlocking Alice. If there was another thing after unlocking Alice, you could possibly squeeze in a concert or two. but they way they have it now nobody is doin concerts that didnt get lucky on Alice’s items.

Thanks for the advice, Bunny ~ good point about leaving squatters and buildings untapped to help with the next stage. Sure wish I was prepping for the next stage instead of watching Alice play with the mini-guillotine!
Sure is a bummer about Alice’s boots. Other folks seem to have seen an uptick in their drop rate, but I’m still getting them on a “Rare” clip (one out of 4-5 tries). Maybe when Belgard joins the party (waiting on Club Shirts), things will get easier.
Overall, I am disappointed that they chose to create a clam trap with Alice (one 8-hour, rare task for 9 items?)… But since I’m not as enthused with this event as those in the past (remember how fun the Star Trek event was?!?), I’m not that stressed about it.
Just hope to get Alice sometime this week or next. Four more boots to go.

Try this… I suggest it as a “side” try just in case… send the Character on a short quick task… like an hour to “refresh” them… then try the task again. Sometimes it helps to kick in a drop. May be worth a try.

Unlocked Alice about 6 hours ago and did his concert and encore so I am sitting good for ten clams on the leaderboard. Also unlocked the dude with the hostel this morning too. Maybe I play too much, but as a freemium player I’m ready for the next phase.

I was 15 on leaderboard at 1445. Had Peter come off task – got last boot to unlock Alice – had concert ready to go. And had just enough glow sticks to run an encore right afterwards – so I got an extra 45 blammys – went from 65 to 110 and up to 7th place. Then shortly after those concerts the event ended. So I managed to squeeze out 10 clams at last minute. I bet you the person in 10th place before my move won’t be too happy.

disappointing that i still haven’t been able to unlock alice cooper as we are now heading into phase 4. Now i will be even more behind. How ironic is it that now since i have everything but the boots, whenever i use peter to get the boots i am now getting them every single time i get the task…. still taking me a long time to get them since boots only drop every 8 hours or something

Still second! I’m hoping to stay there, just for the glowsticks. I’ll be disappointed to miss the skin, but whilst I am only one place behind them, that is about 120 Blammies, so at least I’ll know I didn’t really have a chance. LOL

I’m a bit worried as this is only the first leaderboard, I hope the other prizes are like this, nothing special, just a little bonus. I don’t want to feel like I’m really missing out if I don’t go for something. I’ll probably send my characters on tasks until tomorrow morning, it varies but it is normally around 2 AM here in the UK when the updates actually hit. I always find that it seems to be 3 hours after they say. I sometimes see the new content on here but can’t do anything until the next morning. Not sure where I placed, I was in second not long before, so hopefully I kept that. I’ll have to wait and see, there was a message in the game saying that the items should be out in the next week or so I think.

This is why I am glad they pulled the countdown timer OFF the Event. Drove me nuts. No matter what… it was more when one part ended, not the next part started. So it frustrated players more than anything. Overall… I see them drop on average between 6pm -9pm Pacific Time.

Yeah, its not too bad, but it’s a but annoying. Having said all that, I came here and saw that the next part is up, just about an hour and a half after what I used to expect. 😛 I did consider getting them on tasks until this sort of time, I decided to wait and now I’ll need to wait. I just don’t like timings like this, I expect it to be later so no characters are free, I expect it to be early and nothing comes. Oh well. From what people have said, Deadmau5 is here and costs clams. I’ll probably buy him, I’m hoping that this means that Rick Astley, and more interesting for me, Weird Al are free. I will probably want to leave some clams or buy more after my birthday as I really want to get Weird Al!

Oh wow, 350 clams for Deadmau5, I did not expect the next character to be that much. I will need more clams, I guess I’ll add some more at some point. I want to do it now to use him as much as I can, but I don’t really want to spend the money at the moment. I’m glad that Carl, guessing there was a contest or something, and the DJ Herbert skin aren’t timed. It seems like they require a lot. I am a bit concerned about the drops for the items, especially as Herbert requires 41 items that all take 6 hours to earn, with 3 characters(I think), I guess they won’t be used in the main questline. Well I hope not anyway. I want to add a few clams for Deadmau5, I always seem to jump at premium characters in events now, I could just add the smallest amount to get him, I want to add more to keep some for other things like speeding tasks or buying items for characters if I am running out of time, but I think I’ll wait until I have a bit more money.

Thanks for the tips! I always have the main characters on short tasks this time of the week but it had never occurred to me to leave items “untapped”. I just finished my last encore performance of the week so I have a couple dozen pink girls wandering around that will only drop coins at this point. I’ll leave them as well as any toads that pop up for later.

At this point I am just putting the usual suspects on short tasks, so they are available when the next phase goes live. Last time it happened earlier in the day, and as I was used to it hitting at 7ish, I was unable to do anything until then as I had everyone set for tasks to end at that time.
Don’t care about the leaderboard, have no need to stress out over yet another skin, and while a handful of clams and coins are nice, again, not anything to stress over. Actually, just enjoying the event, and looking forward to seeing what comes next! *smile*
