After a VERY long wait….Stewie (and District 8) have arrived!
District 8 should unlock for you with out a character prompt (just tap on the area) as long as you’ve completed District 7.
Midlife Crisis Lois kicks things off….you’ll be required to Clear the Amusement Park Block which will cost you $12,000 and take 18hrs…

PB&J Brian- Required to unlock…. 20 Banana Peel (rare), 5 Maracas (extra rare), 25 PB&J Sandwhich (rare), 25 Baseball Bat (common).
Falconer Peter- Required to unlock… 15 Feather (common), 10 Meat Chunks (rare), 10 Satchel (rare), 5 Leather Gloves (extra rare)
Decorations:
Carousel– $20,000. 5×5. Animated when tapped (it spins). Not unique so you can have as many as you want.
Big Bubbly Fountain- $5,000. 2×2. No animation. Not unique so you can have as many as you want.
Condom Vending Machine- $10,000. 1×1. No animation. Not unique so you can have as many as you want.
Land:
Initial area (where Funland is) costs $12,000 and take 18hrs to clear. There are two more sections behind it. Each costs $12,000 and takes 18hrs to clear.
So for all of the land in District 8 it’ll cost $36,000. This does not include the strip of land that was released prior to this update.
Premium Stuff:
Update 7.15 : A few AWESOME readers have advised that the build times for premium buildings have been removed now. So you’ll no longer have to tie up a worker on building one of these premium buildings 🙂

pLace– 160 Clams, 16hr build. 6×11. Earns $60, 40xp/12hrs. 33% chance Maracas will drop. Unique.
Buncha Junk Gift Shop– 270 Clams, 12hr build. 5×5. Earns $70, 45xp/16hrs. 33% chance Plutonium will drop. Not unique so you can have as many as you want.
Decorations:
Spotlights– 10 clams. 2×1. Animated (they swirl around). Not unique so you can have as many as you want.
Looks like TinyCo has also provided us with MORE of a preview of whats to come…at least character wise…as well. In future districts (they ARE NOT in the game right now, so don’t worry you can’t currently unlock them…it’s just a preview of what’s to come) the following characters will be unlocked: Mayor West and Tom (District 9…not in the game yet, but this will be next. We already know it & land for district 9 is in the game), Barbara Pewterschmidt and Jillian (District 10?), Neil Goldman and Death (District 11?) & Evil Monkey (One of the other districts? New area???)
That’s everything is District 8 (for now). Busy busy district. It’s going to take a bit to unlock Stewie, so ENJOY the game. Don’t try to rush it. Go into the District knowing it’ll take a little while to clear it…but right now there’s nothing after District 8 so there’s no need to rush. Take your time & try not to get too frustrated when items don’t drop (easier said than done..I know).

Family Guy Addicts 
Finally! I didn’t stay up for the update so waking up and seeing all the new content available was exciting. Between saving up piles of money for new buildings, long build/clear times and 2 characters and 2 new skins to unlock, it’ll probably take a long time to complete everything. It’s pretty much fine by me – I won’t be bored for a while and TinyCo has given players something to do with their 100s of thousands of coins.
However, I do have 2 small complaints. 1. pLace is a premium building, which bums me out because that’s one of my favorite episodes. 2. There is a lack of new decorations and non-unique buildings. I would have liked to see some new flowers or trees, and sidewalk tiles would be very useful. I was kind of expecting some new office buildings as well, and one day I would like to see some generic apartment buildings or homes so we could have a larger residential area than just Spooner Street. No big deal this time though.
And looking into the distant future with the 4 new characters that were teased… I think that Babs will probably come with Pewterschmidt industries or their Newport house, and Jillian will come with her house. And I’m hoping that Death will come with Quahog Cenetery and will be released during a Halloween event if they have one. No real ideas about Neil or the Evil Monkey (a tree house? possibly?) though.

I am so excited for this district. There is so much to do. I’ve had all my tasks and land completed for a few days. As a freemium player it’s fun to send the characters and hope they drop what I need. I just hope no items are epic. It took me 6 weeks to get the last seashell to drop!!! I even started from the bottom with my coins (I had 100,000 saved) by buying a bunch decorations. To rush everything seems to defeat the purpose of playing.
On a side note I’ve been a fan of this website for a few months but this is my first comment. Thanks for all you do!!!

The way this game unlocks characters and districts is ridiculous compared to the game that inspired it tsto Tinyco needs to take lessons from ea on how to make a game players love to play I am only staying with this game until I get stewie after this mess of an update because I fear it only gets worse from here

I can’t believe the cost and work this update entails as a freemium player this is going to take forever since you have to unlock to complete costumes before you can unlock stewie so basically unlocking three characters simultaneously plus carter makes 4 characters to unlock and if my math is correct $67000 just to unlock stewie and carter that is with out buying anything else in the update

My only complaint is that not all the characters get used. I got a gift card for Father’s Day and bought all four characters and they don’t help out on this stuff. I get that though since not everyone has them. But Tricia doesn’t do anything, Sheamus doesn’t either. Whoops that’s how the WWE superstar spells it. Seamus, and whoever else I’m forgetting. Why have some characters doubled up when there are enough to have everyone involved? Other than I think this is going to be great, time consuming but great. can’t wait for Banana suit Brian. That’s one of my favorite moments from the entire run of the show.

It’s just a way to keep the game from becoming too easy and boring. Different events and updates employ different engagements by an assortment of the characters. And you’re right, since premium characters cost clams, and not all players have them….TinyCo wouldn’t make a requirement based on an item THEY would drop. It just won’t be fair to the freemium players. 😉

I understand. I just wish everyone had something to do. I feel bad for Tricia, Seamus, Cleveland and Connie being left out of the fun. HaHa! But with the premium characters they could add them to the tasks like they do with buildings. I have no intention of spending that many clams for pLace but if other players do they have that extra advantage but it’s not required so it’s the same idea. I don’t mean to sound like I’m complaining because I understand your response and when I said my only complaint in my first post i should have said it was a minor one.

I am stoked, I’ve had nothing to do other than the small updates in a long time and to see the new stuff and most of all the characters to come has rekindled my love for this game. I guess the hours moving stuff around to stay busy in the game is over … for now… Great job tinyco, now if we could just have a little more room in the water and an easier way to win more clams it would be perfect.

I agree, kind of… I’m okay with the increase in coin cost. But 270 clams for a building? It doesn’t have a 100% droprate so, why so much?
BUT: I am so happy w this update!! Hooray for more stuff to do!!
I will say though, that I sent every character who earns items on tasks last night, & this morning, I only got 2 feathers. Out of that many characters who earn, 2 feathers?!? Geesh. It is frustrating when 10-12 hour tasks net ya nuttin.
Also, thanks guys, you all at FG Addicts have kept me going through this insane journey of addiction! 🙂 In fact, I had given up waiting & checking in to see if the update had hit… and then I got a lovely notification from your facebook page! So thanks to you guys & all you do & your lack of sleep, 😉 I was able to log in & get started before going to bed!! Seriously, if it wasn’t for this site, I’m certain I would’ve given up by now. Alissa will have full walkthroughs later today, but I can tell you Carter will need 15 each of 3 items: Sugar Packets (Uncommon), Fuzzy Slippers (Uncommon) and Jewels (Rare). You’ll just have to wait to see which characters drop each. 😉 (guesses are allowed) lol

I know how it feels man so am i. I friend of mine actually works for tinyco and he gets me the updates weeks in advance before the stuff is released to android and ios.

To each their own I guess. Personally I like to actually play the game instead of spending real money or glitching to speed through a new part of the game the minute it’s released. That’s just me though.
Just please don’t complain that you’re bored with the game for the next month while waiting for the next new part of the game to come out.

I think tiny co have got this update spot on, loads of new additions both now and to come in the future. From a personal point Id started to become bored since the kingdom of moons event finished as I had unlocked everything and had no quests to do and rearranging quahog for the 100th time lost its appeal.
But with so much now to unlock and lots of buildings to buy for coins I can see many a day being timed around when I’ll get my next banana skin :). The only downside seems to be the increase in clams for some of the buildings (I’ve purchased a few in the past but prob won’t buy these) but we’re not forced to buy them and they only help to speed up the game which I now know isn’t always the best thing to do.
Also as mentioned above I also had success or just lucky with getting items dropped before available so def worth trying if you’ve just set the amusement park to be cleared.
That’s it for now Back to quahog I go

I agree, I like this update too. The price increase is to be expected since this is a later district, players should be generating more cash….keeps it challenging from a gamers cash flow budgeting point of view.

Nah a buddy of mine works for tinyco so all i do is head down the street to tinyco headquarters and just give my friend my phone and he updates it before anyone else gets the update. I’ve had the park open since before the 4th. Me like a million of other people saved up a bunch of coins during the king butt quests and since i had that early as well i saved well over 300,000 coins. And i dont place everything on my map so i didnt buy asian town land besides what needed to be bought and the extra land that they gave that wouldve cost like 200,000. But i was smart and used that on buying all the new buildings and such. So i get the update before yall and have had quite a bit of time already unlocking everything. Yeah some clams helped me with the outfits but again sir thats not hacking.

I’m sure you guys will cover this in the walkthrough, but I’m curious about the Nerds that have popped up! Clicking on them says Freaks & Geeks pt. 6 must be completed, but that quest hasn’t been prompted yet. Do you have to complete something specific before it triggers? I don’t think I have recovered from all of the mummies wandering and now there are nerds! Lol! Anyway, happy with the update and the fact that there is a LOT to keep us occupied in the near future!

You need pb and j Brian costume and falcon Peter to unlock Stewie… Or 1665 clams laying around to get Stewie outright or 1000 clams for pb & j Brian or 550 clams for falcon Peter..
Eugh, seems like TinyCo didn’t listen to the players. We are not your cash cow, if you play fair, players will also and purchase clams… This is crazy stupid amount of clams for Stewie…

I was amazed by the amount of clams needed to outright unlock Stewie also needing two costumes to unlock him outright… Pretty crazy, would like to see a poll of amount of players whom will stay and whom will leave because of the month not able to unlock Stewie will bring frustration.

I personally am just going to enjoy the ride, I’m over the “got to unlock immediately” attitude that many (for some reason) have adopted. It’s just one of many games I play. 😉

actually the players are in fact Tinyco’s cash cow. Free-to-play means you pay with time or you open your wallet. your notion of fair prices probably wouldn’t keep the lights on over there. The drop rates and the clam prices are set to keep them in business (and pay that hefty liscensing fee to Fox). It seems most of the grousing around here is aimed at geting more for nothing.

Let me say it this way… Say you have baseball or futbol or football team. Nobody expects to get in for free, but the more prices are raised. People make a choice, either to no longer go or to pay through the teeth. A lot of ways people decide is the product that’s put out for us to see. To feel involved somehow, appreciated and wanted. The feeling of betrayal is never good for bussiness though. Meaning, if you go to a game and pay a ton of money. When you get to the arena, they’re like hey since you paid so much. How about we charge you more. (many people bought clams, but Geesh they don’t last long at all here). I’m gonna quote a hack player on another site. “I have 100,000 clams and unsure if that’s enough”. Now I don’t encourage hacking, but that’s a pretty big statement. Someone at TinyaCo is gonna lose their lights soon, because the demand of people are gonna be lower. While some are happy there is a lot to keep them busy, others are just exhausted after some many disappointments from the last big event.
Just saying if people feel appreciated, they’ll open their pocketbooks. People want to feel like their getting somewhere. Not have 2 days worth of character doing stuff and nothing drops. If you hurry up and retry on many of them. They won’t drop for 5-6 times. That will make anyone feel deflated and just say what the hell and end their game forever.
Have a wonderful day y’all, this is just one person opinion. But I will say they did a great job making the game, it would be a ashame if it ended before it really got started. Btw, there was a time when TSTO Stopped the game. It’s back and making more money than ever 😀

Here’s a strategy tip you may want to share for when a new event is about to start. It scored me 3 rare PB&J sandwiches to start this event.
If you set characters to have their tasks end shortly before an item collecting event begins & wait until after the event begins & you have triggered the quest, there is a chance you will win items.
I just happened to have meg gobbling hot dogs, Bruce doing CPR & Chris eating ham & when I completed the tasks I began earlier today, they all dropped sandwiches.
It may help in getting items for stewie to try this trick as the end of the 24 hour repair on the park draws to a close. I assume we’ll all know what those tasks are by then, taking the guesswork out of the equation.
Now I’ve got to go make 3 real PB&J sandwiches to take with me on my canoeing trip tomorrow.

I’m glad I check the game 1/2 ago and finally district 8 is officially open. I had all of my characters roaming around waiting to do stuff and now they are doing the new costume quest. Plus I have all of my new land cleared and couple of new buildings going up. We are all going to be busy for the next couple of weeks.

After I pointed out to tinyco that golden peter was missing from my game now that I play on Android phone when I started off on an ipod , they told me that he was an iOS only character. Yet an hour later he was on my android device. So cool. Tinyco really does listen! 🙂

We are never going to finish the costumes: Falconer Peter needs 10 meat chunks (rare), 10 satchels (rare) and 5 leather gloves (extra rare) and PB & J Brian needs 20!!! banana peels (rare), 5 maracas (extra rare) and 25!!! PB & J sandwiches (rare.) I guess buildings will be popping up soon that will cost clams to get these items.

I really don’t like the random chance format for items. I’d rather it say- “do this action 10 times to unlock” rather than “get 5 of these” and it takes you 15 times or 20 times or 5 times to get them.. just tell me what to do and i’ll do it- it shouldn’t be a lottery or a mystery to achieve the goals. It’s discouraging.

This isn’t an Xbox game you pay 80 bucks for and finish in 3 weeks. It’s a play for a little every day game. enjoy that it brings to life one of your favorite cartoon shows. And endless content! I am very excited with all the new future characters. I know it’ll probably be a while and even then the chances would be small, but I’d love for the evil monkey to have a task with the evil monkey statue from the full moon event.

I predict that maybe Babs, Jillian, and Neil will be out by, maybe November/October. As for the Evil Monkey and Death I think that they might be out by early 2015.

Of course I set my characters to do 12 hour actions right before the update! Ugh…oh well. Back at it in the AM. Did you notice to unlock the PB&J costume there are a lot of rare and extra rare items needed. Bummer.

It is great. As a FYI, Lois is the one that triggers the quest for the next district, not Brian, as some players are claiming. Also, make sure you look in the character section, you will be able to place The Malt Shop, which comes with Carter Pewterschmidt, straight away. Also, there are a heap of new characters added to the locked section, like Jillian, the Evil Monkey and Death, just to name a few. Am currently clearing the block with Bob’s Funland on it. The new costumes are Banana Brian and Falconer Peter. Disappointed the Prison Meg still isn’t there, seeing she is on the title screen.

Yeah about the headbands I was wondering I bought the animals on the previous event to unlock the fancy restaurant that doesn’t seem to show that it will give me a chance of a headband……anyone know if these build get will produce these things for life or just during an event. Does anyone else have special buildings that should give a chance at generating items? Thanks in advance.

Most item dropping buildings only produce during an event or until the character they were bought for is unlocked.
