Hello There Clammers!
Well here we are (a lil delayed)my friends…the FINAL day of Stewie’s Tea Party. Who’s ready for it to all be over?
Anywho….a bit after 10pm PDT, the last toy change occurred. We’ve gone from collecting Dinosaurs to collecting … COBRA!!! Lol (Destro)
Same rules/tasks apply. Send Peter, Chris, Bruce & Quagmire on 4hr tasks to earn the Action Figure. They SHOULD drop each time they complete the task. (If you’re finding this not to be the case, it’s most likely because the same character will earn another item for you. We’re finding this is the case a lot with Sparkles from Chris & Bruce)
The end time for this toy, and the event, is 10pm PDT tomorrow….so that’s 10pm PDT on 7/22/14, 1am EDT on 7/23/14 & 6am BST on 7/23/14 (0500GMT for our friends that aren’t in those time zones). Basically 24hrs from when the toy changed.
There are a few things we can confirm with this toy change…
-IF you have a character on a task to earn this toy and the toy changes before they complete the task, the new toy will fall from the character when the task is complete.
-If you’re having trouble getting the box to come up…go into your shopping cart and go to the featured tab. The box should be there if you have enough toys (6,14 & 24).
-You cannot win doubles from the box. Once you’ve won an item it will disappear. HOWEVER….if you already have an item (if you purchased it) you can win it again in the box. ie if you purchased a Koi Pond for District 7, you can also win one in the box. But once you win it, it will disappear.
-Currently, we don’t know if Rupert will be available for clams after the event is over. I know he shows up on Facespace as a character you buy, but as of right now we don’t know if he’ll be available. Once we have an answer on it we’ll let you guys know.
So that about does it my friends. Same tasks, new toy.

I know it’s a bit naughty, but i just tried the “switch off communications, close game, restart” cheat, and it worked! At that point, i had only managed to get 3 boxes in total (2 a day), and had to perform the cheat half a dozen times, but every time i got a different prize until I got Rupert. WooHoo! Now, back to going after Stewie. You’re mine, little man!!

So, I should have Rupert in an hour or so, but dang, I’ve been scrolling down these comments and…just wow. Everyone’s SUPER ANGRY!!!!
Why is 90% of the human population unable to see things from any other perspective but theirs? It has always amazed me how selfish, impatient and entitled people can be.
I was freemium for awhile…..until this event…because I wanted to make SURE I had Rupert. I made that choice to pay, and I was rewarded for it, yet I still have to wait (Rupert will be 12/12).
I’ve gotten everything else freemium, but I’ve also put the time in, played around the clock when necessary and lost sleep over it.
Bottom line: Lashing out doesn’t open up a wormhole through space and time. You can’t open those first day boxes anymore, I’m sorry.
It’s not a secret that everything in this life revolves around money. Wrap your head around that and let it sink in because money is the grandest of schemes. Games are for fun. Not having fun? Quit.
***The players who spent clams on day 1, then missed out on a box BECAUSE of the confusion of toy swap times are the only ones who should REALLY have a genuine complaint***
A little empathy goes a long way. It can even help reduce your own personal anger towards something. For starters, could you do what the Addicts do?
Imagine dealing with TOTAL STRANGERS unloading any and every complaint they can think of (God forbid they read an actual post, or read the other comments before typing). Could you do it? Probably not. Oh you could? Could you do it for free? Probably not. Oh you could? Could you do it with a constant smile? Probably not.
Practice and pass it on, maybe in the future the world won’t revolve around money anymore.

I feel for our readers. I know the event wasn’t all it was hoped for, but I see so many positive things they put in place this time around. So many good suggestions listened to and changes made at player requests.
I try not to let the comments get to me. Yes, difficult at times as it hits personally when I can’t help or feel helpless. But I will always try to maintain focus and continue to help. Angry or not, I listen n read every comment.
I know most are speaking out of that anger and don’t mean to sound so cruel. Or when they step back and reflect later realize the vent got away from them. I get that. I want open dialog. I want freedom of different thoughts and views. Just keep in mind I will put mine in too along with that alternate side a player may not see (as you experienced. Lol.)
I adore our readers and want this a safe haven for all. So all are welcome, just remember…it is for ALL. Check the hatred and vulgarity at the doors. 😉

I sensed the building frustration among players since the Butt event. It seems there are taking a lot of it out on you, Alissa and Cybersilly. I feel it’s very important for TinyCo to have a great new event, and then pull back on the reigns a bit. It seems we players have been spoiled with new content repeatedly and need to relax with our games and remember why they are fun. I just got falconer peter when I got home from work and it felt awesome.
I like the hardcore appeal of this game. It requires zero skill, but time instead. The readers of this blog are angry about a variety of things to do with the game, but it seems they have a front runner sensibility. They want it to be good so they don’t feel guilty for having spent that time playing. I was stressed out to get Rupert as much as the next person. I shelled out clams for a topiary so I rushed it several times to get destros. I made that choice and felt the 20 clams were well worth it. I’m not angry about it. TinyCo made the rules for the game and I chose to enter competition under their axiom. I can understand frustration as can all the moderators as well, but there have been some great times to be had with the game if you just accept it as it is and move on.
TinyCo is going to take missteps. They will never please everyone. I can’t think of one person or group who can. But be certain that this game is fun, it is at times unfair, it is imperfect…sure, but fun. I can’t get a blueprint to drop…but I’m still enjoying it. Have some consideration for our moderators, I’m not speaking to everyone but those who take their frustration out on these people who help us out of love of the game and have genuine affability toward those who also love this silly little game.

Likewise, he is just so odd looking though…how’s your costume collecting going? I moved on to the frustration of blueprints and plutonium since I unlocked both costumes. Dang it they don’t drop though. This could take a few weeks to get Stewie.

Kitten is right on all accounts..If you really wanted every item or a guarantee at Rupert they could of spent clams early on…if this is their 3rd week on they should of had enough clams to do what they wanted to do..if they already spent those clams on other items..that was their choice. I honestly wouldn’t even call this an event..I would call it a free give away with every gift you opened being like a lottery card to that free stuff…noone was promised Rupert….unless they gathered every single toy Rupert was just a chance (trust me I understand the frustration because I have one more box left and two prizes..one being Rupert left..but not getting him isn’t an open invite to straight out complain about everything). The complaints are mostly juvenile to ridiculous…I have to work and sleep so its not fair? Really, I’m in the Army and I have opened every box with the exception to one the first day…so if you didn’t want to wake up for a few minutes or sneak off to the bathroom that is on you. and again…its a FREE item give away…if you didn’t get what you wanted..sorry..move on.
As for the Addicts…Thank you for everything…reading you having to respond to the same questions dozens of times….a day must be painful..I’m guessing answering the questions in the synopsis you give or 18 times below if people would care to scroll down and check isn’t enough…or asking what the 10 Pacific time is in where they live..I’m guessing taking the 30 seconds to find a google site that will do it for them is too difficult..Anyway thank you again Alissa, Bunny and Silly…who because his avatar will always cause me to read his remarks in Brian’s voice (trust me, it’s a matter of time and I will have a Morgan Freeman one up…turnabout is fair play as they say)

FINALLY! Last of 12 boxes, and (drum roll…) RUPERT!!!! I play all day and night long so I knew I’d always get the 24 toys, it was the thought that there was only 9 chances that was getting everything frustrating.
Obviously if you play casually and only get 1 or 2 boxes, you will have extra prizes and a smaller chance at his win, but if you did get all 24 each day, YOU WILL GET HIM.
Good luck to all who still have a box or two to open. And relax to all who are fretting but are “caught up” with all the boxes every day.
Now. Onto Stewie. Before the ComicCon event begins in 2 days.

Well I got screwed. had my 10th and final tea party and got Peter’s pirate car. So I got an inventory of crappy decorations for my $10.00 clam purchase.
I would personally like to thank Tinyco for teaching me this valuable lesson. Spend that $10 wisely, its the last you’re getting from me.

Does anyone know how long it takes TinyCo to respond to in-game messages? My game crashed during my first Tea Party on Sunday and I didn’t get the prize for that party nor did it work for any other parties that day. I sent an in-game message that day, but no reply so for or even a confirmation that they got my message…

It depends on what area it goes to. Sometimes you’ll get a response right away, other times it takes a little longer. Your best bet is to be persistent with them. Continue to email/message them daily until you get the response.

Well, I have 3 items left to win, so down to a 1 in 3 chance of winning Rupert. Have 1 present left if I spend a few clams tonight. 1 in 3. My luck, that still won’t be enough in my favor.

Sooo, I just completed the 3rd (last) box (24 toys) on the last day. I have also gotten every box thus far. I have not gotten Rupert… Am I SOL? These kind of events really grind my gears!

Well no Rupert yet. I did get 3 items I didn’t have though and a couple of dupes. I am very angry with TinyCo for giving me free stuff. You can’t see me but I am shaking my fist at the screen and scowling in a not so friendly way. I will keep doing this until they quit giving me free stuff. It’s the only way they will learn.

The last box and it was out of gold digger island and Rupert, guess which one I got. why wernt people told from the start they would have to get all of the boxes to get Rupert at the end, I know people have got him before the last box but thats just a small handful out of everyone that plays and its not a coincidence that so many people effectively got screwed by tinyco. I missed 1 box because of the stupid timing and events not starting again till past the time that was posted in the game. Its a good game and a nice idea but eventually people will get tired of the over priced premium items and long winded tasks and just stop playing. I know tinyco are new at this and all that stuff but thats no excuse as they should know what they are doing afterall they are expecting people to pay lots of real £££ for content.

Boy after reading some of the latest post, I see a theme most of everybody last box didn’t get Rupert and I still have one more to go, so looks like I probably won’t get it. But hopefully I’m wrong. I doubt it, but could the time change on day 1, might have screwed up some people of not getting Rupert at all?

Found a trick to getting Rupert easy… It’s similar to that Jelly trick for King Butt. Open a mystery box, and if you don’t get Rupert, set your phone to airplane mode or disable wi-fi and close the app. Turn off airplane mode or enable wi-fi, reopen the app and try again until you get Rupert!

I also tried this when I opened my second to last box just a minute ago because it gave me the Dansu club which I already had. When I opened the game back and opened the box it gave me the same thing

How do you change the modes when youre in the app though? I have an android and theres no way to do that while still in the app unless you go to the support page or close the app altogether?

On my phone I can either hold down the power button or pull the screen down from the top (where the time is) and switch the mode. I have a GS4.

If that’s the case, you should do that for every single ‘item’ drop as well.

Thank you so much for this. Had a 50/50 chance on my last box and got the billboard. Turned off the Wi-Fi and waited for the connection error message. Closed and restarted the game and sure enough the box was waiting with… Rupert!

Last night I got Rupert and went to place the building and the game crashed…. opened the game back up and it made me open the box again and I got the stewie flower. What kind of crap is that. Opened my last box and got the stewie billboard….thanks for the screw job. I had Rupert and got screwed over. It wouldn’t have been a big deal has they not messed up the launch, changing the times…..I’m so pissed. I don’t care that it was chance or it was free….I played and I won but ultimately got screwed….sick of this

May I ask when you contacted them? Have you allowed them enough time to respond? They do get back to you, just need to allow time for them to first get to your question, look into your game, locate issue, find if fix for issue, then respond. At the least it can take 24 hours.

AAAAAAAAH!!!! This sucks. I was down to Dansu Dansu (which I already have) and Rupert and of course I got another Dansu Dansu on my last try. The game makers cheated. They sped up the event the first day so most people missed that third try on the first day. If I had been able to get three the first day I would have gotten Rupert. I would like for him to be available for clams later on, but I will also be upset at having to buy him when I’ve already bought the items for this event and worked the event perfectly. I used every try that I possibly could. Sorry for the rant, but I’m really upset about this. I spent money, it sucks that I didn’t get the prize in the end. And then I will have to spend even more money if I’m lucky.

Sorry it didn’t play out. I get the frustration. The best I can suggest it to be vocal to them. Like constructive criticism via your in game menu, help and settings, and contact them.
Explain what you did to me. That the time made it wonky for you.
Overall, this still was a game of chance. No one was guaranteed if or when they unlocked him, only that he was one out of 12 so all 12 had to be opened. Many were able to do just that without clams. It all depended on when you started. They did not however “cheat” as you put it. Something caused a delay in the launch of the game and the times had to be forced changed. It took a bit for it to kick over due to that. They did not in any way plan it that way. Sadly technical items do come with technical glitches.
They still did better with the idea of this event. Far better. Clam items for Free no matter the player. Set amount of items so one and done. I get the upset, I really do.

Well I ended up snagging Rupert. As for the other prizes, the only one I even kept out was the lobster shanty because it collects money. I really don’t care about the decorations.

Bahh, no Rupert for me. I had Bruce on a 20hr task when the event started. Didn’t realize I could have sped him up with clams until the second day. Then I botched my 3rd present today by accidentally putting Quagmire on 4hr task of collecting jewels instead of 4hr task for the present. Strictly freemium and have 5 clams in the clam account. Oh well, happy with Lobster Shanty and the beer truck.

Also… Just an observation.
1) all of the negative commenters have a smartphone/tablet. Like 100%, no doubt.
2) all of them have an Internet connection. If not, they are not playing the game, and way are they here…
3) they all have used this site at least once,
4) they all have an email address…
What I’m saying, is when there is a great team here that are happy to put up posts informing anyone that visits here about new events, more or less straight away… There is a subscribe button. Just saying. It’s there, I mean definitely. I use it. It works.
And you can have your email account on your phone/tablet. And it can notify you as soon as u get email.

Heheheh. Great observations there. We are truly just here to help all we can. We too are avid players and I can guarantee invested MORE into these games then anyone out there. BUT…we don’t mind. We do it so others don’t have to. We try it before YOU buy it (unless you are addicted like us and beat us to it prior to our post). Lol.
We get the anger and frustration and are right there with you…however, we want our site to stay fun and upbeat too. Negative energy is just a downer for all. So we allow the venting…to a point. If there are issues, we WANT to know as I harass…errr…contact TinyCo through my ways on the readers behalf to keep them on their toes too. Especially on trending issues.
All in all, we really just want people to have fun.

So far I have opened 8 boxes.. And I have 1 one more left for today and that’s my last one because the event ends today so I really hope my last one will be Rubert.
The items I’ve got this far is.. Stewie’s billboard, Stewie flower, Herbert’s icecream truck, Big bubbly fountain, Sootlights, Koi pond, Lobster shanty & Peter’s pirate car. 🙂
I have wasted alot of clams (like ~75) on this and I’m a freemium player. But I really don’t think it matter, because I’ll probably gain them 🙂

So just won the pirate car. That leaves Dansu and rupert. Odds are not really in my favour. So don’t know if it’s worth not sleeping properly tonight (I am in the UK) just to be disappointed when I open that last box.

Yep I’ve missed out on it, 10 boxes opened no rupert, tried sticking it into airplane everytime I collected the 24th toy, then one time it didn’t work now it’s done. Just have to hope he’s but able after.

It happend for me on accident. I opened a box and I lost connection to my wifi and I had mobile data turned off. My game couldnt synchronize so I killed the game quick, went back in and the box was un opened. Opened it up and got rupert.

Day 1 I was only able to do 2 boxes, the rest I was able to open 3 boxes a day and now onto day 4. I just opened my 2nd box of the day and still no rupert. I am really getting a bit annoyed, I just have one more box left for tonight and all I have left is the spotlight and Rupert. Also I didn’t have to spend 150 clams to get the Peter’s pirate car, come on I just want to win Rupert!

We all seem to be down when we feel we are losing or not getting what we want. I get that. That is why we allow venting, but…you are still seeing the positive in this and that is what I find great about this event. They are handing out free Clam costing items to players for just playing as a bonus. To me, that is an olive branch and at least a step in the right direction from them. Something that both Freemiums and Premium players can benefit from. 😉

I completely agree with Bunny, however I wasn’t really bothered about missing out on King Butt, I think that ANY playable character should be available indefinitely. I understand limited time costumes, like Pee-Pants for example, but everyone should have the chance to get playable characters. May even they will release Rupert for clams, which is fine, after all Freemium players CAN get clams, save them, and spend them on premium characters. If they don’t, it’s their problem. Personally I only have one premium character, as I have also spent clams speeding up actions, on the various gambling options from events, etc. And I am a premium player, I just don’t spend a lot. I buy either 50/130 clams at a time, and only on occasion.
Let’s just hope TinyCo release Rupert after the event, for clams or cash. Level the playing field a little.

I hope so too. In the long look at things, I kinda like the… “try to get it for free and if not…option to buy still later”. I find that a wise business choice. Allow those unable to spend money still a chance to get it and others that don’t mind opening their wallets a way too. Kinda a win win for all involved regardless if the item was won or not. The company still makes its needed money to keep the game in business and employees paid. The players still get some free cool stuff and option to buy.

Yep. I mean in honesty, I don’t see them offering him at all after the event, as he’s listed as an event exclusive. BUT… TC have been known to change such things, so you never know. I think Premium buildings, decos, even expansions, as a definite option. And bonus items as a reward for buying clams as opposed to collecting them, that way there is still incentive to buy. I just strongly feel that limiting playable characters is a really bad move, and while I agree that some people may be a little petty to “ragequit” after a rant here, I do see that decision losing them players. Ultimately they will be either Freemies or low spenders, but still.
I hope TinyCo agree. And for the record, *nearly* everytime I have contacted TinyCo direct, they have appreciated my feedback, or my moaning for that matter, in a human personal response. Credit to them for taking the time!

I too wish for a lil different approach to the Limited/Exclusive. They’re getting better…but maybe still some tweaks here and there. Definitely a company with an “open door” to its players. That is for sure.

Oh yeah I had lots of fun and I was a nice way to buff up my town with stuff like the pirate car, I just hope they make him available as I’m a completionist and I would like all the characters somehow 🙂

So because the game got boring quick I checked the game because I saw an update today, and noticed that there was an event going for a while. I had no idea. They should notify players who got bored with the game that there was some kind of event. Now I will have no chance of getting human Rupert. Might as well delete the game because I am not pleased with losing the chance of getting an extra characters.

Sorry you missed out. That is the thing about ANY app game out there…they have there surprises for players paying attention. All of them do it. They reward those that check daily in their game. There is always our site too. We announce all the updates we see as close to when they hit as we can. 😉

I am sorry, but I find most of the complaints or over the top outrage a tad comical. Look..the 5-6 Friday’s before have had some sort of update..did I know one was coming? …nope but was like that is pretty cool. Was a little upset at myself for not keeping my characters open..so like most I only opened two gifts the first day (I am mostly freemium myself). So what was the update? The update was just a bunch of free stuff that you could try to collect…For FREE!! As a Freemium player by the end of the day I will have 11 of the 12. For those who complain it is slowing them down getting other things….no its not…it is your choice to try to get FREE items. To those that feel ripped off from using clams…first that was your choice..secondly the game gives you many chances to get free clams..from Ollieworld to their Facespace to random chances during events…I believe I got half a dozen or so off of Mummies…so if you had already blown them on other things..that is on you as well…personally I bought Consuella with all of the free clams I saved. To all of those who complain its a waste of time if they don’t get Rupert….again it was YOUR choice to try…did they have to offer you a CHANCE to win him..nope…pretty sure they will sell him for clams in a week or two or whenever so at least you had the chance to get him for free. Don’t like all the other FREE items they offered…get over it, if you don’t need or want it..you don’t have to use it…pretty obvious that the only point to them was to make your chances of getting Rupert right away tough while still giving you a free item and if you didn’t have the Shanty, pirate car or other items then it was a bonus…and to finish my rant lol, to those who say this is the last straw or you have had enough or whatever and will never play the game again…let me point out that the few people that this is probably true with probably cursed and probably erased the app…they didn’t go out of their way to find a blog for the game just to announce they will no longer be playing the game lol. I have a feeling that most of you will simply just switch your screen tag and come back to comment about what is wrong with the next update. In the Army they tell you not to come to me with a problem, come to me with a solution…why don’t you turn that negative into positive energy and throw out some suggestions besides more free clams and more free stuff that will actually help the game. You never know when a rep from the company is checking and might find it a good idea…just saying

I bought both of the items yo get extra toys still no Rupert rushed a couple times as well n I only got one box left to open n get Rupert not cool at all I missed maybe two boxes not sure how many n already had every single item they had to offer except Rupert 😦

Well, just got my 4th and probably final Stewie prize… Koi Pond, Peters Pirate Car, Animated Spotlights and Best of all – Rupert with the Bare Bear Tanning Salon, so overall not too bad considering 0 Clams were spent!

I think we already answered all this…and you figured it out…but for others just in case… You start with 12 items in the prize box. As you collect toys and hit a level for the Tea Party (6 toys, 14 toys, 24 toys) you get a free box to open. For a possible total of 12. As you open it and earn an item, that one drops off. Leaving you with 11…and so on. If you want to see what it left for YOU to win…click on the green “prizes” icon on the box instead of opening it. It will show you all the items YOU have left to win.

Wow just opened box 11 and still no Rupert. I’m well on track to get 24 toys to earn him but really the absolute last prize! Seriously. I’m glad I shelled out for clams this week and purchased the sand box and topiary otherwise there would have been no Rupert for me.
I’m a little disappointed that for 325 clams I got the sandbox and topiary they were essential for my toys but still would have been more appreciated if they were cooler looking, like when I grabbed up Ricky’s Cantina. These one square items are lackluster.
They cynical jerk in me wants Rupert to cost more than 325 clams just because otherwise he’s cheaper then I shelled out on the decorations.

I think this event was pretty well thought out personally. They gave free premium items, didn’t have to buy clams and no repeats. I think that’s basically what we’ve all been asking for from past events right? I didn’t get Rupert until my 12th box and I assure you I was ready to pull out my hair and set it on fire but honestly I knew I’d eventually get him cause I was able to get all the boxes. In the beginning tho the 20 clam prize threw me off. I didn’t know if that was a 13th prize that would take away a shot a Rupert or what but once they pulled that as a gift I was good. One suggestion I would make to improve…timing. If you promise a 1000pm(100am/600am) time change, do it. I waited until almost 200am this mornin for the change. People over seas waited till almost 7am. That’s kinda harsh and irritates players. Set a time, be prepared and stick with it. I think they would see a lot more calm and reasonable player base versus ones that wait an extra hour when they’ve already been waiting 24. But all in all a sweet lil event in my opinion even tho I already had 90% of what they gave away. Other people didn’t have them all and glad fellow addicts had an opportunity to receive them as well.

The timing…I do have to applaud them. Let me explain…This is my view of what happened to the event…
They were set to launch this event earlier. Give everyone the full 24 as originally planned out. Something happened (dunno what tech issue) and it was pulled back til later. They scrambled to get it back out and readjust all the times to still make sure the players games reset in 24 hours. The game (pre-programmed to a different time) fought back and didn’t take right away. So…delay in times.
That is my outlook on it anyway. I dont know how accurate or close to reality it is, but from other games and past issues…my idea of what went down. Lol. 😉

I agree they are getting much better. I think it’s easier to get irritated at 145am than it is to try to be understanding and concider maybe there’s a reason they are not switching on time, but makes a lot of sense once it’s actually laid out for you. I guess no matter how hard you try or how well you plan things don’t always go as we hope or expect. I used to think of myself as a relatively patient person but for some reason it goes out the window with collecting charactors in this game! I suggest a weekly therapy session to discuss such issues DR BUNNY😜

I am always happy to help out. I really to try to keep the peace round here. I get fired up just the same as anyone else. I am paying and playing the game too. I just discuss the issues directly with them. In an appropriate and business way, but I let them know my thoughts and issues I see our readers going through. So keep in mind that no matter what WE are still looking out for the players. 😉

It actually can be therapeutic for a psycho like me who feels the need to get it and get it now to have a voice of reason to just say, hey it’s ok, it’ll happen just calm down and I think you guys provide that for us! I like the fact as well that you show respect for the company that offers us this game, a constant rant and hate on them would just bring chaos and more edginess to something we are supposed to enjoy. I give love to the addicts and tinyco, I could break my phone at times but hey that’s why I come here!

We are lucky in that we see both sides. I have constant communications with them daily. So I get to see things average players don’t. I voice my opinions as a player to them all the time. To this day they are the ONLY company out of the games we write about that is so into their game and players as well as communication and bettering their game while still doing what it is made for…to pay for the game too. I think sometimes people forget that side.
Negativity breeds and can flame quickly, so we try to allow it to a point or keep it to a post like What the Hell. People do need to vent. That is just life. Keeping things in is not healthy. Just as long as it dont turn vulgar or attacking. We do try to be the voice of reason. Talk people “off the edge” so to speak.
Usually it is just someone needing another to listen to. I am happy to do that. Let it all out…then….work on a resolution to make it better. 😉

It’s sour grapes, but I wish items I already had in my town(shanty, icecream truck, stewie flower) would of been recognized and removed from prize chances. Kind of like a thank you for spending real money earlier, and giving me only 9 prizes to win..and greater Rupert chance. Just an idea

I agree. I wonder if they are still working on the coding to recognize already won prizes. I don’t know if they kept it as is due to they didn’t want it to seem unfair to others for offering alternate prizes for those that had them. Who know.
Still, I do say to let them know your thoughts. They get better each update. I am really impressed how much they enact change for the players. Send them your thoughts via your game. Seriously. 😉

Once TinyCo read this awesome website next, which IMHO is probably there best source for rants and gratz after the In-Game option, I am pretty sure they will try to balance and fix small glitches such as double items, but as another poster on here said, these Items are FREE, I got the Rupert @ Zero clams spent after just 4 boxes.

i used clams to buy all stuff…cause most of my characters were too busy on long quests when the game started. i guess i missed one box somewhere.
they should at least give you the opportunity to continue collecting toys when you have finished the 24 before the daily timer ends.

I finally just got Rupert! It took a topiary and some speeding along, but I’m excited to finally get it. I still would like the pirate car, so I’m going to keep trying for that, but no more wasting donuts speeding things up for that. 🙂

I finally got Rupert! So relieved, I only got two boxes on the first day and was worried he would be the one prize I missed out on. I have one more box to open but I’ll be a little less stressed for this one! I know some people are unhappy with the constant events but I love them, I’ve never had a game that updates so quickly! The only thing I wasn’t happy about was the lack of notice and it looks like they’ve fixed that with the banner for the superhero event! Good luck to those still opening boxes, don’t give up!

They are learning and growing still. It was a better thought out event in that the prizes were set at 12 max and went down once won. A lil work left still on tweaking here and planning better there, but overall they are starting to get the hang of things. 😉

Opened 10 of possible 11 so far. No Rupert. Is there 12 possible gifts? If I open 11 boxes and no Rupert I will be mad as #%#<!!#, especially since I spent clams on the sand box, calculating that it would pay off since I have the other premium characters…

12 gifts total. You can see what is left in YOURS by clicking on the “prizes” green option instead of opening the box once you win one. Rupert is random. No way of knowing when he will hit.

I do not understand why. There was no need to rush the tasks to open boxes. If you are a paying player (which I am for the sake of the game), then you had ability to rush everyday or to purchase topiary and get a toy for 2 clams each. Can you explain?

I might see how someone would be upset at the idea that they might have spent hundreds of clams on some of these items only to see them offered for free later, then see that they got those prizes instead of the one(s) they were hoping for. I personally don’t see that driving folks away, but I can certainly see how it would leave a bad taste in someone’s mouth.

That is the risk any premium player takes. Buy now, chance it offered on sale or free later. Same in real life. You want that cool new TV or game system and want it NOW…can’t really be shocked to see it on sale later. Sometimes it pays to wait. Lol. But…for us Addicts, that is not an easy thing to do. Just can’t really get upset for doing something of choice. Your own personal choice. That is my thought. Somethings I don’t mind getting right away no matter the cost, even if I know its going on sale later. I want it NOW! Lol. 😉

I didn’t learn about the quest until I was only able to get enough toys on the first day for one box. There was no way to buy enough items at which point I was short two boxes from day one I will never get back not even spending money on clams. Not sure what you don’t get. I have one box left with 3 prizes remaining. Both of which I have already except for Rupert. The point is everything else but Rupert is a duplicate. After you reach 24 toys you do not obtain more chances. On the first day I wasn’t going to buy the topiary if I only had a couple hours to obtain till they changed the time of the toy change further changing things. Once things were fully explained by the end of the first day there is no way to go back and fix day one that TinyCo flubbed. The whole point is people who have been paying clams for these items from day one and don’t get Rupert and are stuck with duplicates items with no value from stuff they purchased already for clams are not going to be happy. I’m willing to leave the game over it. So as a paying customer I’m still unable to get the item I wanted. This is likely my last post here. Apparently people who only see things from your perspective will never get it. So long.

Sorry you feel that way. I only asked for an explanation to see if from your side. I am not you nor do I know how you play, so I have no way of knowing your reasons…so I ask. It is too bad you feel that way about me asking a question to get to know what happened in your game play and better assist you.
No two people see things the same or play the game the same, so we look at all angles and points of view. You see a company failed you as you already owned items. I see a company you just gave away a ton of Clam items for free to a lot of players. They can’t just customize a game to fit one person only. No one would be able to do that. That is like asking a movie house to customize a movie just for you. Not really possible.
If you feel like the event wasn’t for you, I understand. Not all things fit everyone. Others gained a lot from this event. For a paying player, I saw this as an event you could spend clams on to get Rupert by speeding tasks (Buy topiary and speed it with 2 clams a toy. So, 48 clams per day plus cost of Topiary…Less than cost to outright buy a lot of skins offered.) So for a paying player, there were alternate options. Rupert may still be offered at the end for clams. We don’t know.
Regardless all this, this is a game for fun and enjoyment…if you are not getting either out of it…I understand you not wanting to play it. I feel bad you see it that way, but in the end that is your choice. There is no reason to knock someone just trying to help you out and understand you better.

I feel TonyCo, gave away stuff I paid for, gave me two of things I only needed one for. I didn’t mind the event, I think it was poorly launched with little details, mainly having to wait till the first toy change to determine whether or not they payout was going to change after the first day to see if I needed to wait for the second day to buy different toy dropping items, then they changed the time in which the toy changed all within the day I missed my chances due to a sneeky wee morning launch to a time change which in turn changed everything. There should have been a way for the system to realize I had all the stuff they were giving me. Still too little details on what will come of the “Exclusive Item”. I buy clams to be more from a completion standpoint. Basically by the time I figured out what I needed to do, it was too late to obtain every box. Meanwhile all these ‘no offense’ freemium players getting Rupert on the first try then getting items I spent money to buy clams to get feels like yet another slap in the face from TinyCo. This is the second face slap from the company and I refuse to allow myself to continue to get smacked by a company I dumped money into. When the game isn’t fun anymore, it’s time to move on. This event has caused me irreversible hate for the company.

Like I said. I appreciate feedback. I am just here to help. I also am here to understand what other players view. In my Freemium game, I STILL have not won Rupert. I know you feel many Freemiums got him right away…we won’t know that til the poll results come in. I saw many Premium players getting him right away too. Yes, more info is needed on the events. I am with you on that. This game is still pretty new, so they are still learning. Yes, I agree a system to recognize a same prize situation would have been cool too. It is in that motto… “Live and Learn”. I see them learning each event and getting better. Still bugs to work out. That is why they appreciate feedback from players. Let them know how you feel on events. They put the option to reach out to them right into the game itself. I see they’ve changed so much already since BETA was launched.
I get the late night launches are daunting. TRUST ME. I am up so I can provide YOU with the info for them. So it impacts us here just as much if not more too. I am hoping that changes.
They are no different than the other game I write about too. Still things you wish they did differently. Still glitches. But it all comes down to what we both touched on…do you enjoy just playing the game? Is it a game or a job to you? If there is no fun or joy in it, then it is no longer a game and there is no shame in stepping away. I have spent a LOT of money on games, movies, clothes, pretty much “stuff” that I later regretted as it didn’t bring me the joy I was hoping. But it was MY choice to open my wallet. We take that risk upon ourselves.

I beg to differ on the listening part, but that is my opinion. I see more on that side than the average player. Up to you on how you wish to proceed from here in regards to your own game, but I ask that you not post anymore negativity please. You shared your opinion, vented your frustration, and your gave us your point of view. Not all players see it the same way so we allow that, but …as it is said… no use in beating a dead horse.
There is still plenty to enjoy about this game and lots of fun to be had. 😉

I think it has to do with the way that you had to pay ON day 1 or you can just get flat out screwed. A feature to open a 4th box on a day with clams, or something would have smoothed some of that over…
Once peopled figured things out by day 2, things were fine, but yeah…frustrating that if you were not on your toes when the update dropped there is NO way to make it up.

Right, but in most cases, someone who plays the game, sets timers for 4 hours, buys sandbox to ensure 24 toys per day, by the end of the event would you realize a sloppy launch led you to not getting the one item you hoped to get. When the event said it was ending on Tuesday and the event changed originally at 1 am the speculation was that you would only be able to obtain a limited amount of boxes to opening and no guarantee that if you played and got all three boxes each day you would be guaranteed the exclusive prize. Had people have known from day one, what exactly was going on, I would have purchased items sooner ensuring all the gift rewards. I’m victim like others to a sloppy launch, it can be spun other ways but someone who luckily obtained Rupert will not understand from a viewpoint of someone who meticulously tried to maximize toys to obtain Rupert. From day one it seemed like a crapshoot, day two essentially was like waking up and noticing from time change of event that you just lost your 100% chance of getting an item. You go through the event hoping each time to obtain the exclusive prize just slipping away due to the low rate at which it is rewarded. To top it off, if Rupert is then sold for clams after the fact, how do you think that makes a clam buying player feel after they just got two of everything they already spent money on, then have to purchase the item that was listed as “exclusive”. You really have to look at it as if you didn’t get the item. My Quahog will not be complete and never will, turning me away from the game.

If you “know” he is going to be offered for clams at the end, then why even play the event? If that is all you want, then just wait to buy him if that is that case.
Technical issues arise in a game. The game was set to launch MUCH sooner, it had to be pulled back. So yes, the time was changed…but in favor of the players to give them almost a day and a half for the first part so they could still try for the prizes. Much better in my opinion than NOT changing it and having less than 12 hours.
And yes, not everyone will view it as the same. Your chances, your winnings, your game play will determine your view on the game. So…many different visions.
I get all this. I do. So…let them know. TELL them. If no one speaks up, they how do they know what the issues are and what they can do to fix them? This game is really in the players hands. So, help it learn and grow if you wish for change. But stay silent…and you can’t expect someone to read your mind. Like my original comment. I can’t read your mind, so I try and communicate best I can to learn from you and see what is going on. Same with them. Too many players for them to know every single one. Want to enact change in game, in life, in anything?? Then speak up to those in charge and see what changes you can bring. 😉

Simple. If somebody makes sure to open every single gift after spending clams on premium items to make sure they get all the toys necessary for 3 parties a day and through absolutely no fault of their own misses out on the big gift, people will not be happy. Personally, I’ve yet to get Rupert even though I’ve been perfect and not missed one available gift. One more tea party left…if my game got messed up and I don’t get Rupert I’ll most likely uninstall right then and there. After the lousy ‘kill 100,000 zombies to unlock but guy’ implementation, my thresh hold for any more problems is pretty low.

I understand that everyone has the mentality that they HAVE to get everything in the game. It is why we are Addicts. Keep in mind though that in a game of chance…there is a chance you won’t get something. However with TinyCo…they seem to still offer chances after the fact of getting the item still.
I understand that those who already bought some of these items may not want them again. I didn’t want all the boats or “gardens” from the last prize chances but I got a bunch of them. So I am grateful it was narrowed down to one of each.
I see them trying to give chances to premium and freemium players this go round. Those prizes are worth a lot of clams when combined, so to just hand them out to players just for playing was a cool idea in my mind.
