Hey there Clammers. Resident Fluffy character here hopping on in to give a lil thought and maybe a lil outlook on things for this AMAZING Community of players/readers we have here. Pardon me while I dust off my soapbox for a few minutes. So strap yourselves in. Lol
Let’s start off with the war a flaming in the comments and just put it out there. The calls of “not fair” going on within. To me, I just do not get the point. I will explain as to why.
We are here…just as I have described above…as a COMMUNITY. Complete strangers stretched literally across the globe that have found sanctuary in a location where all our minds, thoughts, attitudes, humor, and addicted lil lives flourish. We all have same common goals, same wants, same love for a game and/or TV series, and we are all completely different. I LOVE THAT! I love that there is such a mix and diverse community here. So many thoughts colliding. Sadly, it is some of those collisions that tend to leave a lil bit of bruises and aftermath.
So let’s discuss this. This silly lil game started BETA through Android. iOS players were sad, they wanted in on it too. TinyCo, being the extraordinary company they are, did all they could to bring it to iOS too. At the same time, they also gifted the iOS players with a lil exclusive in Gold Suit Peter. Wars of “not fair” flamed. Time went on, updates came and went. Now we are to the Comic Con event. iOS was able to get the update out first since…well…since the game launched. Android players were sad. They wanted in on it too. So once again, TinyCo stepped up and offered a bit of an olive branch to help with that loss of time for Android in providing them with an exclusive item (coming soon). Now the wars of flame came again with more “that’s not fair”.
I guess in the scheme of things, I just do not get or understand this kind of greed and argument. Both sides now have been offered 1 item. Seems pretty fair to me. TinyCo is doing what NO company ever has done in as far as I can remember playing games. My look on this entire situation is why the upset over a gift? I mean, just imagine it from this perspective. You go to a birthday party with a gift. Watch your friend open it. Then, your friend screams at you that your gift is a joke, not fair, should have been this or that. How would that make you feel? Pretty awful in my eyes. You got a cool gift that is exclusive to YOUR device. Kind of a badge of honor so to speak. Appreciate it for what it is.
It is like going and buying a Ford then seeing your friend got a Chevy with a cool feature you didn’t get and then going to Ford to complain about it. It just does not make any sense what so ever. I mean the one thing I am NOT seeing in all this…is…”Won’t somebody think of Kindle??” Lol. I mean seriously. They JUST got into the game, but I have not seen complaints about “this and that isn’t fair”. I bought several movies. Everything from the LEGO, Captain America, and Avengers to name a few. Depending on where I bought it, I may have got a few tunes, a figurine, a different cover, etc. Did that make the movie any better or worse than anyone else’s? No. Did that mean I wasn’t gonna watch the movie? No. Did that mean I am a loser and others are winners? FRAK NO! It means I got a cool movie just like everyone else and I watched it over and over and over.
This all just really comes down to that entitlement attitude. If someone else has something you do not, why fight about it? Why does everyone want to be mirror images of each other? Isn’t it our uniqueness that we each have within ourselves the same thing that makes us amazing? I know I don’t want to be a robot following in line. I don’t want to just be another sheep in the herd.
Stop picking on each other. What good becomes of it? Are we just a group of bullies now? I sure hope not. We made this place a sanctuary for ALL players. A helping zone. A place that ALL can come and feel welcomed as we help each other with our silly lil Addiction. HELP each other, don’t try to pull one another down. No one benefits from that. NOT. AT. ALL. Imagine if you came here and that is all us Addicts Team Members did. Just tell you to frak off and figure things out for yourself. I don’t think you would care so much for that, would you? We do a LOT to help because we want to. We see a need for it, and are happy to share. Do all we can to make it a better playing experience. Sound familiar? Can you do the same? Share with others? Without spite or hate? Allow others to have THEIR moment?
Short story long, let’s all just take a step back and look at the WHOLE picture. Appreciate that FINALLY there is a company out there connected so close to the players. One that listens, adapts, changes, and does all they can to help. I for one do NOT want to lose that, and I see the bitterness and sour attitudes a threat to pushing that uniqueness in them away. THAT would be a terrible loss…to EVERY SINGLE PLAYER. Regardless what your device is.
So take a few deep breaths. If you feel you have to say something still, fine. Say it…but HERE ONLY! But say it with respect that everyone deserves. Check the hate at the door. No more of this will be allowed on any other posts. Say it and be done with it and move on. Go back to enjoying the game. Enjoying the help. Enjoying the Amazing Community here.

Family Guy Addicts 
I know a lot of android users have expressed unhappiness with coming to comic-com a week late but I look at it this way they got an extra week to work on unlocking district 8 which I still have not unlock Stewie I still need like 7 more blueprints and two out of the three characters that drop blueprint are needed repeatedly to unlock characters and costumes. Personally I would prefer that extra week to be able to work on unlocking Stewie right now I have so many quest lines running I can’t possibly keep up with all of them. But it is what it is nobody said life was fair the world is going to cease to exist if I don’t have a Joe’s superhero costume at this point I don’t even know if I’ll be able to unlock all of the other characters and costumes offered in this event

I still think it was a stupid move to delay the android comic con release. I mean, an event timed and themed to a 4 day event, and they delay the android launch until 3 days after the real event ended. And on top of that, starting a week behind means that android users have essentially been behind for subsequent updates.

Are we sure that was the issue? We (android) had an app store update the day the event started on iOS. Then it just took an in-game update to start the event which means we basically had what we needed for the event from the app store in time to start with iOS players. Are in-game updates regulated the same way as app-store updates?

No. App store updates have to be approved by the store (iOS/Android)…in game updates are down via the main game server. It basically flips a switch on areas of the game. However, in game updates still take a bit of time to “turn on”

That’s what I thought. I would conclude that we can’t blame apple’s or google’s policies for the delay. So, I have yet to hear a good reason for it. I can’t believe it takes a week longer to “turn on” in-game updates on android vs iOS.

Without access to read the specifics of such contracts, it is reasonable to believe that the “contract issue” is that TinyCo (who have demonstrated their ability to design timed events that are difficult/impossible to complete in the time allotted) decided to enter into a contract that gives a subset of their users less time to complete the event. That is to say that it’s less of a contract issue, and more of a contract decision. Aside from the announced “android exclusive” character costume (which could likely be obtained by iOS players with access to an android device or emulator) it remains to be seen if TinyCo have any plans to level the playing field for android/kindle players through some sort of Blam payday or Blam generating item gift. Even if they did, such a gift may again be available to the same iOS players who take advantage of android emulation.
I’m not complaining about the fact that iOS players are being given an advantage. I’m complaining about TinyCo doubling down on their track record of poorly designed events by intentionally designing a poorer experience for some of their players.

I’m kinda confused now actually. Everyone seems to be ganging up on the people using this blog to express themselves freely (which all users are INVITED to do). Nothing gets through that the Addicts don’t allow.
It was a very well spoken post, certainly things that needed to be said, and I agree to a point, but it seems hypocracy has been invited in by the boat load.
If this blog didn’t exist, there wouldn’t be any venting or complaining…so I mean…
I’m sure people won’t like my post very much, but it’s my opinion and I’m allowed to express it. Plus, I am doing it politely. 🙂 See? A smiley!
Complaining about complaining isn’t what I think the Addicts had in mind. I may be wrong though.
As for personal, direct attacks…there is zero excuse and they shouldn’t even be allowed through the filter.
That’s a different animal.
Keep in mind I am a dual OS player, so I have nothing to complain about, before you grab pitchforks. 😉
I’m just saying it would be a dream come true if everyone was devoid of pettiness and negativity…but that’s not how the internet, anonymity and free speech works 😦 (I’m guilty myself sometimes, we all are)

We do want to maintain an environment where gamers can come and feel safe to express their joys and frustrations with this game. And we try to allow most comments and opinions through. What this post was addressing was not only the rising temperature of the subject, but more importantly all the comments you never get to see due to out right attacks and vulgarities. It was time to nip it in the bud, and move forward. 😉

You are correct, i dont care for your post but I respect your right to expess your thoughts in a constructive manner. My opinion is the hypocrisy dig was a bit much but besides maybe making someone feel bad im sure the cost of your freedom of speech is unsubstatial. I didnt find it in any way hypocritical, but our differences are what make us unique. We can ALL BE hypocritical at times as we can see on previous comments etc but were human. Nobodys perfect. Expect bunny, this post was pretty damn close IMO! 😉 and silly… hes talked me off o few ledges…. and alissa, its because of her I own an android tablet… I digress..ive enjoyed reading some of your posts, we dont stand on the same field on this WHOLE subject, but I like hearing what you think on any other matter so far 🙂

Well said Bunny. I love the uniqueness for each device and Tiny Co as a company. No other company out there that runs a free game like this gets as involved in the community as Tiny Co does which is a big reason I stick around even when things get glitch or a bug comes up. Other games I just uninstall and move on. All these people complaining must see it as well since they are still here because no one is stopping them from deleting this game.
I think Tiny Co will eventually drop exclusives for Kindle users as well. Exclusives are nice and a unique way to show off your unique quahog. I happen to be a console gamer my self (#teamxbox) and see exclusives all the time for one console or another for games that are made for multiple consoles yet you don’t hear outrage from the ones who didn’t get it because they are just happy to be playing the game.
If your one of those people who just have to have EVERYTHING in a game then go spend the money to get a devise that runs the opposite OS than you currently have. If your not willing spend the big bucks on it than just be happy with what you have.

As for my Golden Peter, he needs a polishing because he does not get used since the initial intro! Not worried, i’ve got mutant stewies to Zap and i love this game as well as the other! I will invest in both because of MY LOVE for them! I CHOSE to download them, to play them and enjoy their free stuff aka clams or donuts or items, etc etc! If you want a great game you have to invest! Money does not grow on trees and neither do great games!! 😉
PS Name me ONE game that does NOT have glitches! FYI There is a good chance that after this event, Mr Super Joe is probably gonna be as dusty as my golden pete IMHO!!

Being, what i would imagine is one of the older players of this little game I like to think i have a different view. I may get flamed but i think it comes down to a younger generation used to getting everything they want and there being no losers along with the anonymity of the internet.
When i first saw the exclusive item the OCD in me began to stress, my game will never be complete i don’t have super Joe. But after a few days it passed and I went back to obsessing on the multitude of other things that i MUST have in the game. I see the same vitriol being directed at TinyCO for making it difficult if not impossible to get some items without actually spending money. I do think some of the clam requirements for this event are a bit out of whack but they are a business. They have employees they have to pay. It is not free to develop apps, I imagine they have a pretty descent employee base. The Quality of this game is pretty top notch. It has issues, but all games do. The speed with which some of the issues have been resolved it impressive. Some people will just not be happy no matter what you do for them.
You guys have done an amazing job and I want to thank you for all the work you have put in. I know its time consuming and a lot of work.
I don’t think it could have been said any better. Fanboys (fangirls) will be fan(insert gender) We are all in the together, and i put TinyCO in there as well. Check the hate for each other at the door an direct it to that annoying little squid that seems to be hopping around our cities.

I like your take on this Bunny.
Allow me to add that the game is FREE. If you don’t like the game or the fact that you have to pay for extra content delete it and move on. I love this game as much as I do Tapped Out, for somewhat different reasons and I absolutely unconditionally love what you guys do, but sometimes it’s hard to get to the substance of what you and the games are all about with some of the long winded whiny posts that clog the comment sections.

So glad you said this bunny! I have been thinking the same thing since the rupert event. I actally sent an in game incouragement message to tinyco to remind them that for every loud complainer out there there are a lot more happy people that dont say anything so I gave them a big thank you on behalf of the silent happy addicts. It is impossible to make the game fair to everyone simply because what is fair to a premium player is not the same as whats fair for a freemium player who have nothing to gripe about since no real money involved. I would give up my exclusive android gift just so i wouldnt have to read thats not fair posts.
Can you do something like a tinyco appreciation page (positive posts only) where all the greatful players can express their appreciation to tinyco? Theres only so much critisism a company can take before they throw in the towel so they could probably use some thank yous right about now sinse there have been a lot of nasty things said about their awesome work I mean. They try so hard and I dont want them to give up. They need to hear all the things they are doing right for a change.

I got so tried of reading… I’m not complaining about any of the items I or did not get. Come on people it’s a GAME!!! If you don’t stop all the complaining the makers may feel that it is no long worth making and stop it altogether. Then you could all really have something to complain about. Grow up!!! The major of players are Adults…start acting like one instead of whinny kids!!!

I have been complaining about being on a Kindle. The problem is no one listens. I do not really care that IOS got something Droid did not. It does bug me some that there are a bunch of cool things I will never be able to get because they came out before the game even launched on my system, but I know there is not much I can do. I have come to terms that I do not have enough time or money to be able to get everything in the events in this game.

Ever wonder why they chose to fix the problem that way? One group is mad about exclusive stuff the other got so lets give that group something exclusive so the happy group is now pissed. Why not give the other group what the first one got? Oh thats right, they like money.
The other thing i’d take issue with is that you keep trying to tie the community to the developer. You can like the people who play while still acknowledging the person who makes the game only cares about your money. Come on admit it you work for TiniyCo…

Its never occurred to me to question your sincerity about loving this game, this community or the company that produces it. The idea that you work for them is kinda chuckle worthy when you get down to its because ive personally seen you guys get as annoyed at certain happenings just like the rest of us and voice it (Hello what the hell friday).Just because you do it productivity doesn’t mean there’s any less passion. We don’t have to have anarchy to be passionate and alot of us really like the way you guys do handle all this..you try to be fair to us and tinyco, whats wrong with that? We obviously all love the game so why not at least respect the people that offer it to us? No one is saying I gotta be miss tinyco 2014 just have a lil respect and appreciation. I guess I work for them too. ….

Well…we definitely don’t work for TinyCo. That I can assure you (if that was the case we’d have massive issues also writing a blog about The Simpsons Tapped Out).
And it’s more that we’re tying in the community aspect because the flame wars have started at various points in the comments of readers attacking other readers. THAT we don’t want to see…on ANY level. And THAT is what Bunny’s talking about when she talks about the community

Love it bunny! There was a definite need for this post and I think you said it beautifully. The atmosphere was just becoming toxic and people that normally speak as friends were turning on each other and it was a sad place to be. This wonderful attitude is what ive come to love and expect and why I’m here daily and hopefully this will open eyes and hearts. #teamnomoreteams!

Just for clarity, as a Kindle player, do I get Superhero Joe or not? We also lost a week’s worth of event time to get blam, so it’d certainly be useful to have another blam-earning character. I haven’t seen the message pop up in-game though, so I’m guessing not?

Thanks for the update. As a Kindle player who just got the game last month (and just accidentally unleashed scurvy pirates all over my already nerd-infested streets, making things hella hectic) I don’t really mind about not having Golden Peter or Superhero Joe. Some way of making up the week’s worth of lost Blam would be nice, but just today I found out that Cleveland was only available during an event before the game was even available to me, which is currently the thing in the game that’s making me most sad. I hope there’s another way of getting him in future – he’s a major character, and I can’t complete “The Guys” without him!

Great post! If you go on Facebook the amount of complaining is unreal. To be honest it sounds like preschooler’s wanting the same toy. Has anyone got real evidence of Apple paying TinyCo to launch ahead of Android? After a lot of searching I only came up with a site who thought that this was the case based on TinyCo’s response to why they staggered the release. Seems like a rumor turned int fact from endless repetition. If Apple did pay for exclusivity they would be advertising it heavily like they have done in the past. Hey look! Play Family Guy Comic Con on iOS first! It makes no sense that they paid for an exclusive and did not maximize the advertising benefit.

As soon as Joe drops, I’m going to have 2 of my good friends over to login to their game from my android tablet. All signs point to this being a way to get Joe’s hero costume on ios.
In Japan there is a a tradition of ‘off-kai’, an off-line meeting for people who usually only interact on-line.
Why don’t we try to do something similar. And not just to share os exclusive items, but just to tear outselves away from our mobiles once in awhile 😉
Using common sense and the basic rules for meeting people from on-line (bright busy places, no eating or drinking anything out of somebodies bag, etc) and taking security precautions (changing FB password before and after using unfamiliar device) maybe we could become a community IRL too…
That said, any ios Quahoggers in Osaka Japan wanna leech my tablet when Hero Joe comes out? 😀

Heheheh. I have met MANY people IRL that I met online. This blog for instance. It is EXACTLY how I met Joe, Alissa, and Cyber. Most my true friends I have now I met online. We still get together to this day for drinks and fun. 😉

Probably won’t work how you expect. Golden peter isn’t usable on android even if you get him on ios. Joe will most likely be the same

Actualy Tiny are doing a great job considering how long the game has been out, TSTO has been out a lot longer and love that too, but they have had lots if glitches, and EA has been pretty poor in dealing with them. Tiny seem aware of the problems that can happen with game writing, and are dealing with them. Ithink the main problem was that the updates came at different times not realy a life threatening problem, as stated in other posts it is only a game, and a pretty good one at that.So keep up with the good work. Finaly on the apps page on google play people are complaing about updates making the game to large, this is rubbish, of cause the game will get bigger, that what happens with updates that improve the game, so please stop complaining. Well thats me definatly finished for now, and keep up with the great work on here.

I think you’ve got it right in places and completely wrong in others.
I totally agree that all the fighting and accusations of not fair are silly and unnecessary. This shouldn’t be about Android vs. iOS because neither group has done anything wrong. iOS users didn’t ask to be given a week’s early access and Android players didn’t request an exclusive skin as compensation.
The real problem is exclusivity tied to your choice of device to play the game. If you’re going to allow these players to interact with each other directly (by being friends) then they should all have access to the same stuff. That’s just basic. Adding exclusive items doesn’t make people feel better. It just makes those without feel worse. Android players are unhappy because they don’t have the Golden Peter costume and now iOS players are unhappy because they won’t get Super Joe. Neither side feels good about getting the exclusive costume at the expense of others but both feel bad about not getting a costume.
You suggest that because each group has one costume each, it’s now equal and, I guess, in a loose sense that is true. But TinyCo didn’t set out to give equal access to exclusive items. It just happens to have worked out like that. If they really wanted to have an iOS/Android ‘badge of honour’ then it really should have been a decoration.
But really, exclusive items are just a bad idea all around. Nobody likes having a costume that half the other players don’t have. I’m an iOS user and I don’t care how many people have Golden Peter. I wish everyone who wanted the costume had access to him. I imagine most other iOS users agree. So if the people with the exclusive item are primarily apathetic about its exclusivity, and the people without are just upset to be missing out on content for no real reason, then what positive purpose do they serve? It just causes friction in the community and no matter how you spin it, it’s because TinyCo made a decision that splits that community. What Android really needed as an apology was Clams and a jump-start in their progress on the event. Maybe some premium buildings for free to help them unlock Patrick Stewart. Oh, and access to Golden Peter because it’s long overdue.
Exclusive content isn’t good for anyone. It’s just bad for everyone else and, eventually, you’re always going to be part of the ‘left-out’ group.
PS. You talk a lot about how great TinyCo are for engaging with their audience but that’s not really relevant to the discussion. I mean, if you want to overlook things because of goodwill then fair enough but you can’t silence an unhappy crowd by saying ‘yeah but remember how good they were at this?’ That does nothing to fix the root of the problem.
PPS. Apologies for the essay. I’m actually really interested in the way these games monetise and deal with their playerbase. I’ve monitored tonnes of games and I’ve never seen exclusive items really work unless they’re made very clear from the outset and, typically, released in pairs. If both groups receive an exclusive item at the same time (and neither is objectively better than the other) then that can work. But that’s not what’s happening here and I just hope we don’t see more exclusive stuff because all it does is divide the community.

Just saying there is a LOT more to it then what any of us can see from our games. SO many more involved than just TinyCo. I found out at Con first hand just how much of a pull an Exclusive item has, regardless if cost or for free. So from a business perspective, I don’t see them going away any time soon. Not from our cereals, to drinks, to concerts, to books, to movies, to…the games.
We can talk and hash out this and that til we are blue in the face, but the personal attacks have to stop. No reason for them. We are all passionate. I get that. But this is not the place for such business matters to be discussed. For that, you need to go to the corporations like that of Apple and Android and get them to form a unity. Kindle too. Until then, those on the trickled down path dealing with them will just try and do as best they can with what is presented to them. For THAT, I am impressed with the way TinyCo has handled it. Others…well…I have just seen it so much worse.

Oh, I absolutely agree that the personal stuff should end. It’s at worst just to start an argument and at best misaimed disappointment.
And I take your point that there’s a lot more people making the decisions than just TinyCo. I’m not trying to blame them (not that I really feel there’s anything to blame them for). As a consumer, exclusive content just doesn’t really appeal. If it must exist (and I suppose it must), the way to do it is simultaneous releases so that no group feels without. So if iOS gets Golden Peter, maybe Android gets a Golden Lois costume at the same time.
Ah well, as long as the personal attacks stop, that’ll be an improvement all around.

My View is as follows:
I was rather upset with iOS getting a Gold Costume for Peter in exchange for the early Android BETA. This is because the BETA version was not available for my device (an Asus Android tablet). Bit miffed but oh well. I couldn’t care less that iOS get aan extra week of ComicCon because I haven’t heard of half the “Celebs” offered anyway (I’m British – I don’t think I’m expected to). I get an awesome costume for Joe (based on the silhouette, I think). That’s great – y’know I’d actually forgotten about Golden Peter anyway! Then there’s Kindle. Here’s my positive outlook for Kindle users (and something Android users can take advantage of via the Amazon Appstore). Amazon are kind enough to give promotional “Amazon Coins” away for free, every couple of months. They have been known to once give over £10 worth away in one day before. These can then be spent on anything in the Appstore – including precious Clams. If you collect enough, what’s stopping you from getting Consuela without spending a single penny?!
P.S. Android users: You can get the Amazon Appstore from the Amazon website – it’s not on Google Play.

This site is awesome..and because it its so awesome anyone who wants to know what is going on with this game, ask questions, share strategies (thanks king butt glitch guy) or vent come here. Everyone who plays this game invests time and/or money into it equally so when they give one format an extra week regardless of reason obviously the others will feel jilted. I would not call this an entitlement issue…If you and a bunch of people you know paid to see Guardians of the Galaxy on Friday then you find out that women had to wait a week after it opened to see it and when you showed up to see it they cut out the first half hour of the film I would be surprised if there were was a single person that wasn’t upset. Now does that mean that anyone should be uncivil or straight up rude with each other…not at all nor does it mean its okay to be rude on this site in general…never will that be okay..anywhere. Entitlement is when people demand free items or more than what they have earned…what we have here is a group of people that just want the same chance everyone else got…I would call that a fair request. I know that being the “middleman” has to of been rough the past few weeks and a bit unfair to be put in that situation but Bunny, Alissa and Cyber you have all been champions..especially with the great attitude you have shown throughout 😉 . I still think the game is amazing. Now to get back to taunting poor Ron P. ….he is going to be up there awhile lol

TinyCo needs to get their act together. Whatever platform the game is on, they need to get these damn bugs out of their code. I just had Patrick near the end of his 6 hour Spa task, only to see him get booted (like Lois a number of times from the grocery task) by Mutant Stewie. I’ve tried contacting them through the ingame contact function, but have had no response. So aggravating.

I was upset at 1st being a android player but the gift is worth it I mean ios does have the gold Peter suit n all which I have always wanted but after a while I’m sure everyone got over it just like missing out on event n not getting pee pants or king butts U WILL EVENTUALLY GET OVER IT y fuss n whine about it doesn’t mean u goin to get it your way it’s just like the ps3 n xbox 360 they made u choose between both some had exclusives titles for each one ps3 with good of war uncharted metal gear solid kill zone a lot of good games same with xbox halo fable left for dead I mean the list goes on nun u could do about unless u buy both systems n play on both sides 🙂 lol which in this case works as well if it bothers u so bad buy a ios device or a android phone won’t b able to use exclusive items on the opposite device but at least u can still earn it or even get a head start on a event u don’t have both but I sure wish I did my old iphone didn’t charge anymore just sitting there all this time probably wouldn’t have been able to play right either but didn’t complain just moved on n enjoyed the event when it started on android actually pretty happy about it gave me enough time to earn stewie n all the outfits so with that being said JUST ENJOY THE GAME!!! It’s more the fact that this is a limited time event that Android missed a whole week of. Apple is still able to get gold suit Peter even if they just now download the game, people who didn’t have to wait for the BETA version to be done and released on Apple, so it isn’t necessarily “even” if you consider that Apple players have a permanent addition and Android does not.
But like you said. This is just a game anyway. No need to get mad at Apple players or Android players. Personally, I think the problem lies with TinyCo. I’m not mad at any other player. But again, the device I play on should not change what items I am able to receive, nor should it dictate how I play the game and how I enjoy it.
Quite honestly, I’m happy that Android is getting an exclusive outfit. Thus outfit should be permanent though, since the one for Apple is also permanent, as far as I know. Then, the game is being totally and completely fair. Other than that, let’s all play our games.
I’m not jealous towards Apple or Android. Everyone wants to feel like they can play the same game without feeling like they are at a loss to premium or limited content. That’s what’s got everyone all riled up!

Don’t forget that Android players can get hold of Golden Peter just by logging into an iOS device. Since it’s a permanent addition, they can do this at any time. iOS people only have until the end of the event to find an Android device if they want to pull the same trick (assuming it works for this give away).
It’s kinda silly trying to argue ‘fair’ anyhow. I mean, we could get real picky and compare task times/rewards etc. but really, what it comes down to is, neither group likes missing out on content and neither group really wants to have content that other people aren’t allowed. Exclusive content is a lose-lose for all involved. (or at best a lose-neutral).

Tbh I saw the post about joe and was a bit peeved at first but in the grand scheme of things he will ultimately be useless and forgotten about. I unlocked golden suit peter and iv never had to use him again so I doubt joe will be any different. If he comes with some sort of triple blam, garenteed item super power task then yeah I’ll jump back on the bandwagon but I can’t see it happening. I honestly didn’t get that much done in a week ahead of my gf. Heck she’s nearly caught up with me already so any advantage given to android now would be a kick in the teeth.

tbh i think tinyco have done well to try to even out the gap for blam by adding joe. 1 extra character to send over the rest of the event, been playing so far and we have not missed any quests. and if they want to add to everyone at end of event go for it.
i also like that there is so much content (buildings & characters) for an player that does not want to get allot of clams. and maybe too much for those that want to get clams to get everything. dread those that have 4 more celebs coming and a few buildings that they must buy.
my only gripe is its always the same characters that are needed to collect blam that have to go on long searches for event stuff.
and if we ever need to find out info we know where to come 🙂

In my opinion, the same characters are used to make it even for ALL players new and seasoned. They are the first ones you get, so most will have them. I also would like to see a few more tossed in the mix though. 😉

It’s their sandbox and they make the rules. Unlike many companies they actually are listening and we’ll consider changing the rules, but ultimately that is our of our hands.
All we can decide is whether we will play inside their rules or not.
Of course Apple and Google own the playground and also impose rules. Having dealt with both before as a little guy there isn’t much wiggle room. They set timelines and don’t budge.

For me, it’s not at all about hating on other players. Of course everyone is going to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them & play the game to the best of their abilities.
What somewhat upsets me though is if the powers that be at Apple or Google have this exclusive content clauses in contracts with app developers, they should get over that way of thinking. I think most people in the gaming community would agree that the prizes & awards you get should be based on effort rather than which device you play on. It’s damn near corporate racism in my opinion to say Apple players can drink out of this fountain or drink out of it first while android & kindle users either have to drink out of a different fountain or wait at the back of the line. That may be a stretch but you get what I’m saying.
Equal opportunity for all and all will be happy (or at least not have this issue to be the reason for their complaints).

This is exactly what I said in my comment before I read yours. I completely agree that content exclusive to specific devices needs to go. It’s like Xbox versus PlayStation…you debate which one is better, and no matter what, you feel like you’re missing out on really good content exclusive to the other device.
This is fine for now. But if content continues to have large gaps in playing and exclusives between the three devices, many people will leave. It’s just how it works with freemium games.

I think alot of people are getting upset and going to “unfair” statement because they feel if a game is going to be lauch on ios and android both respected parties want to be able to obtain everything the game has to offer and not feel excluded. I get it and understand both sides of the problem. Yes its a disappointment that android cant get golden suit Peter but ios cant get the Joe exclusive. Andriod has gotten the last couple updates either a couple hours or maybe a day before ios. Ios got comic-con update 1 week in advance. They tried to balance everything out maybe not with the same items but they are trying. People do need to breathe take a step back and relax. The other chioce tiny-co has it to be like your ps4 and xbox1 platforms where they can but stuff out there and both platforms are able to obtain it or they can charge you for like dlc items. The fact that they listen to all feedback and have been as hands on as possible it awesome. And Alissa, Bunny and company have been busted their a**es to try and help everyone with the game with spoilers, calenders, game glitches etc. You guys are doing an awesome job!

*applause* Love the post Bunny. Being a gamer, more specifically over the years a Call of Duty player, I have seen both sides of the entitlement argument. “XBox gets the maps first, why can’t PlayStation get them at the same time?” “XBox gets Titanfall as an exclusive!? What gives!?” “PlayStation gets a whole year of exclusive content for Destiny!?!? Wtf??”
In the end it doesn’t matter. We’re all here experiencing the same game, but as is often the case, in different ways. Whether it be because of an exclusive bit of coding and pixels, or just a different enjoyment in the game itself. Theres no reason to fight over it. Doesn’t mean you have to be happy about not being able to get the exclusive tidbit, but theres no sense in getting in an uproar over something that if you wished you could delete from your device and never play again.
As an Android player am I happy that I had to wait a week to play the comic-con event? No, not really, but I was excited to see all the content headed my way and ready to play it when it started for me. I enjoy the fact that I will get a few exclusive pixels and coding, but it doesn’t make or break the game for me. Until this situation popped up I honestly didn’t even know about the ‘Gold Suit Peter’ but its not going to kill me that I don’t have him.
Anyways, thanks for the post. You guys put up great content and I love following along. Time to go tap some nerds and wait for the zapper to recharge so I can zap some mutant Stewies. 🙂
