Quahog Comic-Con Walkthrough Pt. 2

Hello There Clammers!

Comic-Con phase 2 has arrived in Quahog!  The second phase brings a new celebrity to our towns as well as a Stewie invasion!  I know many of you are curious about what’s in store for us in our Tiny Quahogs during the second phase of this event..So with that in mind here’s the full quick walkthrough for phase 2 of the event (phase 1 can be found here)  This covers the quests that popup during the first few days of Comic-Con including: Creature from the Goo Lagoon and Perls of Wisdom

So now…let’s blast some inky Stewies shall we?

Zapper Gun Charged

As always these are structured by questline (Note:Questline is considered the entire task list that is required under a certain title.  For example Creature From the Goo Lagoon Pt. 1, Pt. 2 etc).  This should help you keep track of what comes next in each questline & what you’ll need to do.  Keep in mind, with this game various quests/tasks can be running at once.  You can be in the middle of 1 questline and another questline will start, however the order in which the questlines appear may be different for each game.

  1. Personally I think I’ve had enough of this game. They make the prizes of these special events unattainable under normal circumstances. I don’t think you should have to pay 50-60 bucks for clams in order to buy the buildings necessary even to get you close to the target. TSTO events aren’t even close to being this greedy and that’s what I see it as, greed.

  2. question: i am just under a 1,000 blam! from getting the 35,000 blam! prize which is red hot. well, when i got to face space & click red hot’s box, it says build it now at al harrington’s! so wtf is that crap??! even though it’s a prize, i still have to craft it??! all i can say is it better not require me to collect stuff for it too (like we had to do for captain hammered), cuz if i do, i will be majorly pissed & tinyco will be getting quite the rude nasty message from me !

    • My friend, I think this fun “game” is having the opposite effect on you. Take a few steps back from it, maybe. It’s a prize so there won’t be added “unlocking” items needed. Captain Hammered was part of a quest line (as will the other members of the Fabulous 4), so he followed the normal unlocking sequence. The “Red Hot Lois” outfit will be kept in Al’s shop like all the other outfits. It may become available for those who don’t win it, after the event, thus the pop up when you tapped on the picture (remember, Rupert had something written about needing to build the tanning salon when we were still trying to win him). Just get those 1000 Blam, and enjoy your new Hot Lois. It’s ALL good. 🙂

      Like

      • ok, i understand now. just the whole thing with craft it at al harrington’s threw me some for a min there & i think it’s probably because pretty much everything made/crafted at al harrington’s so far has had to have stuff collected for it, so i guess i did jump the gun there in thinking that. & sorry about the overreaction, i’ll be the 1st to admit that i can & do get pissed pretty easily sometimes, so again, sorry about that!

    • Christ you are fast. 35k allready? How many trucks are in your frontlawn? 🙂 Anyways well done.

      Like

      • if you were asking me, i have both of the blam! trucks & the sommelier station. also, there’s a few other things i wanted to ask about: in the description for the nothing suspicious here factory prize, it says it spawns minion stewies in peoples towns, so the question is, are minion stewies gonna be something different than the mutant/latcher stewies most people are currently dealing with now? also, when tinyco raised the level cap from 40 to 50, did they make amount of xp required to advance each level after 40 a whole ton of a lot more than what was required for levels 1-40? i moved through levels 1-40 fairly fast, but now level advancing for me is moving at a snails pace.

        • Just like the “Q” building prize will help out by producing nerds, the Nothing-to-see-here will help put more Mutant Stewies in your town. As the event progresses, it seems we will need to do a lot more nerd Tap’N and Mutant Zap’N. Lol 😉

          • ok, & what about the other part of my question about leveling?

            Like

            • Lol…sorry Josh…phone rang and I forgot to answer your second part. It does take more and more XP to move through the upper levels. After the update hit and they applied our stored XP, I went from level 40, to level 43. I brought every coin/XP producing item out of storage to help me pay for the District 8 land and building needs. This moved me up quicker, because I’m a part time office farmer (things go in and out of storage as needed), and offices really raise it fast. I just went to level 48 today. 🙂

  3. Do you lose the chance to unlock the current celebrity (Ron) if he’s not unlocked before the next celebrity?

    Like

    • No, the next celebrity will spawn somewhere else. You have until the end of the event to unlock them all. But any that are still not unlocked by the end of the event, will leave when the event leaves. 🙂

    Like

  7. Yes I just got Ron Perlman. Just a thought as I have now unlocked him and the nail gunner I don’t see the point in using batteries I earn for the zapper. I will just use the charge after 4 hours for now. My guess is from now on when the next celeb arrives mutant Stewie will unlock stuff I need for them just like he did for RP and PS. what do you think??

  8. Here are some sweet ass tips from Kittenbones himself.

In regards to batteries, multi-item drops, Latcher Stewies and a headstart program:

1 – Always have ONE battery stashed away. Purpose: Questlines during this event should be done ASAP. Use this emergency battery to rescue a character on a quest task! If you have no more current questlines, see below.

2 – Tasks/actions that have a chance for multiple item drops are AMAZING. You essentially get to roll twice (or three times if you include batteries from Latcher Stewies. I’ve personally never seen one drop). Ever notice how when Chris ate a large ham, he had a chance for PBJs and sugar packets? If you roll on the rare and miss it, then you roll on the uncommon sugar packet. Out of probably 25 hams eaten, Chris earned me 14 packets and about 8 PBJs. That’s 22/25!
Still with me? After saving Ron Perlman from the cocoon, you can start getting puppies AND black and white films from Latcher Stewies (I’ve also heard records drop, can anyone confirm?)
Because this is a multi-item action, I’ve gotten a rare or an extra rare item from 80% of my zaps. While you are collecting Ron’s ‘stuff’ blast Stewie as often as possible and use your batteries beyond your emergency battery (see above) freely in conjunction with the zapper cooldown.

3 – You want to unlock Ron as soon as possible, he earns you more Blam, and he gives Stewie zapping a purpose beyond 50 Blam! Once you have Ron on your roster, the only thing I would use your batteries for is the Nailgunner quest (if you are close to running out of time) or finishing a questline. Purpose: Ron has a 4 hour battery earning task which could neatly coincide with the below tip/speculation.

4 – Now, time to open up some minds with speculation. If you have Ron fully unlocked, and you are out of quests, SAVE YOUR BATTERIES!! Here are a few reasons why:

The next celebrity (Felicia, I’d guess. YAY! She’s so nerdy hot!!) MAY have their ‘stuff’ ALSO drop from Latcher Stewies.
The next ‘super vehicle’ quest COULD be another, maybe even a higher Latcher Stewie count.
If you can manage a little patience, and assuming Stewie isn’t going anywhere for the rest of the event, you can have a nice stash of batteries saved up in case they ramp up Blam! earnings. 10 used batteries gets you 500 Blam! Saved up batteries (and assuming Latcher Stewie get his Blam! ramped up) COULD potentially earn you 1000/1500. It’s not a ton, but at this point in the event (and on Bunny’s calendar) we know that every f***** Blam! counts!!!!!! Why else would you surf the bird over and over 😉

One more side tip for the road:

Don’t blow your Blam! on ANYTHING that isn’t absolutely necessary. The decorations aren’t going anywhere and you can decorate your town with the buildings you didn’t buy yet at the end of the event. This is from experience. The only way I was able to unlock King Butt without a single clam purchase was the booty box. If I would have blown my butts on monkey statues etc, I wouldnt have been able to spend 50-60k butts on the booty box. The booty box sent me clear over the 100k mark, and once I got King Butt, THEN I used my extra on Evil Monkey Statues and trees and lava and sh**.

    Phew, OK all done. 🙂

I’m using my batteries to get Ron Perlman faster without the use of clams because I figure if his 4hr task generates a chance for batteries I can unlock him, finish his quest line and then have him do his 4hr until the end of the event 🙂

  12. Does anyone know if there are going to be additional events for shooting Stewie octupus things? I got the first car, and haven’t used any of my batteries that have dropped since then. I just use the gun every 4 hours. I also finished the shoot 10 Stewies quest as well.

Just wondering if I should save the batteries for an event or use them to clear up a few more buildings.

    Like

    • Once you’ve completed this part of the walkthrough, no. That’s all the current tasks for him. He’ll still spawn and you can shoot him, but nothing in the questline for him until they release more 🙂

    • You mean for the second part of the shooting Stewie event? I’m saving batteries and letting him sit on the buildings just in case will need to take down 10 or 15 of them in the near future. Figure doesn’t hurt to let six sit on building and see what they have in store for us soon

  14. When these new quests and stuff came out on Friday I was really really unimpressed with it all – the mutant Stewies kicked my characters out of buildings, 6 hours to recharge the zapper and and rapidly spawning mutants was endlessly frustrating, and the amount of rare/extra rare items needed to unlock Ron seemed totally outrageous.

But now that it’s been a couple days and TinyCo made some improvements to the mutant/zapping thing, I’ve made tons of progress… I have 5000 Blam, 7/10 films, 12/20 puppies and 5/10 records needed for Ron, I’ve completed the entire “creature from the goo lagoon” and “I’m a writer” quests, and got the nail gunner car. I also finally unlocked PB&J Brian and regular Stewie 🙂 So now I’m much happier lol now I wanna finish my district 8 quests and unlock Ron by the time the next phase of the event is released.

The only thing that irks me is when Stewie takes over a building while im asleep and whatever character was in it is trapped but kicks them out when their task ends with no rewards. Like i sent Patrick for that 6 or 8 hour task at the day spa for a quest and Stewie took over the building while i was asleep, kicked Patrick out when his task ended and i had to send him back for the quest credit.

So I say if you’re on goal to finish, save up your batteries. But if you are going to be one or two short, use them right after you use your free recharge

  28. Really doing well with this event and, given the clusterfrak that was the Full Moon event, I am honestly shocked that I am doing this well. I won the Nailgunner already, and unlocked Patrick Stewart, I only need 6 movie reels, 3 puppies, and 2 jazz records to unlock Ron Perlman. I unlocked Carter seconds ago, but I doubt I will be getting Stewie until after the event is finished. Brian has been scooting for weeks now and I had Lois seeking vengeance until this event started, but I still need 3 fuel rods and one blueprint (which I should get from Herbert today). Now I am focusing on Blam so I can eventually get the factory that produces mutant Stewies. Out of everything so far that and the Fabulous 4, Ron Perlman, Stan Lee and Nathan Fillion are what I want most. Happy tapping!

  29. My one complaint about this new part of the event is the consequences of Stewie latching to a building. If I have a character in there then they just get booted out with no reward, often wasting hours of time. Plus, he has latched onto my Q-Hotel building numerous times now – often when I don’t have a battery – so it is making it even harder for me to get the items I need to unlock Ron.

Surely it wouldn’t take much for him to go after buildings that were non-task or item specific?

As ever there is also the problem of characters having to do lengthy tasks (like Patrick and Quagmire for 24 hours) to move the plot forward which means you are missing out on a lot of Blam in the interim.

Still the battery drops have been decent for me and I’ve already got the special car, plus I’m halfway to getting Ron so it’s not all bad. Still not sure I’ll get George Takei without some kind of handy glitch though, but we shall see.

    Like

    • They’re not supposed to get booted out of the buildings. If that’s happening to you contact TinyCo via in game support and let them know. They’re supposed to hold the character hostage but NOT kick them out. 🙂

  34. Well I am currently a day ahead of schedule with my blam! collection (thank you blam! trucks!), one zap away from finishing both the Creature from the Goo Lagoon and the Nailgunner Challenge, and halfway to unlocking Ron Perlman.

Character tasks have provided almost no stuff, as par for the course. Stewie, the Q, and nerds are doing the heavy lifting for Ron’s stuff.

speaking of nerds, can I say something? It has bugged me the whole time that they are calling this events tap-to-clears ‘nerds’. Genre fans are only called nerds by dopes who don’t know any better. I haven’t heard a genre fan cop to the label nerd even one time. they should have been called geeks. As I pointed out to a well meaning but somewhat condescending acquaintance “Nerds do calculus, geeks watch Star Trek’

    Hermes Conrad is a nerd.
Philip J Fry is a geek.

    Clear as mud?

    Like

    • You’re doing awesome!

lol well…the only issue is the geeks in the game right now are the ones walking around with the wizard hats. Don’t wanna get them mixed up, since the wizard hat ones you can’t clear until you have stewie unlocked 🙂

  35. Through this event, I keep feeling like I’m lagging behind… I’m only 50% done with Ron Perlman’s items (cept the Blam), but I’m rarely getting the drops even though I’m doing multiple actions a day – Peter flies 4/5 times a day, I zap at least 5 Stewies, etc. The drop rates just tend to be kinda ridiculous at times.
And I BARELY finished unlocking Patrick Stewart before Ron Perlman came out. It was during the time I was repairing the flagpoles. So I’m kinda expecting that again, which sucks because I still haven’t completed all of Patrick Stewart’s opening questlines.
As far as the main game… I’m still trying to get 3 more bananas for PB&J Brian, and then I need 12 more blueprints and 1 more plutonium for Stewie. But again, I’m really annoyed that all of these things stack. They keep ONLY using Bonnie/Herbert/Bruce/Quagmire for these drops, so I’m forced to pick one or the other. Herbert can get bananas OR blueprints, Bruce can get blueprints OR puppies, Quagmire can get blueprints OR jazz records… and all of these take many hours, especially the blueprints ones.

I know I’m complaining a lot; I’m just anxious that this’ll end badly. I’m still nowhere near any Blam milestones, I only just got to 10,000 yesterday. I’m trying to be optimistic… These are just the concerns. I think a lot of people share them, so yeah…

Considering letting a bunch of Stewies start hanging around my buildings on Thursday or so because whenever they drop the next celebrity and/or weekly prize thing you can bet that Stewies will drop items for them or need to be zapped so you can probably get a nice jump on things if you let a bunch pile up before the next part starts.

  42. The whole thing is so frustratingly slowly.

I get that it’s a long event and that there’s plenty of time but as I didn’t have Carter, PBJ Brian or Stewie unlocked when the event came to Android, I have had to spend the initial days of the event doing stuff unrelated to the event. My enthusiams for the event was sky high given that I got the whole thing a week later than many but having to spend so much time sending people to do the tasks that will unlock those characters rather than being able to fully commit to the event was a pain.

I still don’t have Brian’s skin or therefore Stewie and we’re nearly a week in. I now have Patrick Stewart and Peter’s hero skin to unlock too so it really feels messy and like there’s too much going on at the same time. The whole timeline for the event feels like it has not been very well planned or co-ordinated with the Brain/Stewie/Carter releases either.

  43. I’m confused as to why I can’t get Jazz Records. I have only 1 record (rare) yet have 7 black and white movies (extra rare). Anyone else experiencing this issue?

    • It’s all just random. Are you sending Quagmire on his 4 hr task regularly?

    • Same here. I have only 9/20 puppies and 5/10 jazz records, but already finished the B&W movies. Seems like the drop rates are messed up in my game… And I have also had Quagmire and Peter doing their tasks non-stop since Perlman dropped.

    • I had Chris drop nails (rare) every single time he was put on the task. Now captain hammered has dropped absolutely nothing in 2 days.

  44. I still hope they’ll introduce more tasks (of different characters) that can earn you items. Especially if you have to earn 20 rare items, not to mention the other requirements. I get it though, motivating people to spend (read: buy) clams and get trucks or trailers etc. It’s business. But I hope they’ll consider making it a bit more feasible for freemium players.

  45. Finally unlocked PB&J Brian. My black and white films are at 6/10 while the other two are both at 4…… Why couldn’t all extra rares drop this fast! As a freemium player I’m pretty satisfied, I’m only 500 behind the Blam! Calendar (keep in mind as a teen I get little to no sleep) I haven’t bought any Blam! Earning things, however I did splurge on a Brian, I got the car! Thank goodness, I also got both the ice cream and beer truck from the Rupert event. So as long as I stay on track with the flash car events I’ll have myself a complete car park soon enough!!!! Thanks for creating such an awesome community guys. ❤

  46. I have 4/10 film reels, 6/20 puppies, 2/10 records. I doubt I’ll get all of this before the next celeb drops. Presumably it will be Felicia Day. Do you think the high clam-count for completing the second set of celebs (Fillion/Cranston/Takei) means that Fillion & Cranston may be premium characters? The only other character set worth 100 clams is the “Characters You Buy” one after all…

Neither Quagmire or the Q Hotel have dropped records yet, in 2 days – both of those have come from Red Shirt Nerds. For some reason the Redshirts are listed twice now when I click on Ron to see what tasks I need to do.

20 puppies is too many, given that the bathtub gin task takes so long and doesn’t even guarantee a drop.

  47. I am trying very hard not to click on Ron’s B! bubble — despite his continual pulsing in my face. I don’t want to be locked into wasting 5000 B! for something I don’t end up getting. I am not positive that I will complete all of the tasks for him — especially if the dogs, records, film, and B! are needed for other celebs (like Felicia Day or Nathan Fillion).

    • I do think each celebrity will have their own unique items to collect. But I know what you mean about not giving Ron the Blam! It’s hard to resist, but better off waiting until you know for certain you’ll unlock him (or you have a ton of blam! saved lol)

  48. I’m doing well with ron:
    3/10 movies
    2/20 puppies
    3/10 records

    for patrick stewart:
    12/15 pizza slices

    nailgunner:
    9/15

  49. So far I have managed to get a lot done with this event. I’m on the verge of getting stewie. Just got carter. Then will be finishing this weeks challenge. Following that should be able to get Ron this week so now I just need to focus on BLAM!. The event is going pretty well so far

  50. I’m about half way to getting him so hopefully by Friday because I imagine characters will be needed for other tasks.

On a side note, has anyone seen stewie latch to a building? I personally haven’t so I’m wondering if he only goes for what’s off screen at the time? Can anyone clarify? Would be nice to be able to save important buildings by hovering over them when he’s due.
