Hello There Clammers!
This past weekend saw a new challenge introduced to the Comic-Con Event….the Fabulous Challenge! For part one of the challenge you were required to zap 15 Mutant Stewies in 4 days in order to win Captain Hammered’s Super car, The Nailgunner.
We’ve broken down the how in this post, but now let’s talk about what happens when you’ve completed the challenge and are ready to claim your super car. How do you get it? Where does it go? What does it do? We’ll answer all that and more below….
So keep your hands and feet inside the super vehicle at all times as we break down the ins and outs of the Nailgunner!
So by now we all should know what’s required for the Trigger Happy Challenge. Basically zap 15 Mutant Stewie’s in 4 days (from when the quest triggers in your game) to earn Captain Hammered’s car:
Once you’ve completed the challenge, by zapping all 15 Stewie’s, you’ll see the Goal Complete Popup:
You’re awarded 100 Blam!, 70xp and 1 Nailgunner for completing the task. So you tap CLAIM REWARD to see your Blam! and xp pop out but where the heck is the car?!
Well…to find your car you’ll have to head over to your inventory. Remember, your inventory is different than the shopping cart. Your inventory is where things you already own are stored, where the shopping cart is where things are purchased (even if they’re purchased for free).
So, to access your inventory hit the 4 way arrow button next to your menu (yes, I know there are multiple ways to access your inventory…this is just the quickest IMO):
Once inside the move screen, you’ll see the inventory button on the bottom right of the screen. Tap the inventory button to access your inventory:
This will bring up your entire inventory. Swipe your finger from right to left on the screen to find your Nailgunner:
Once found select it and you’ll be given the screen to place it in your Quahog:
So, now that you know where your Nailgunner can be found, what does it do once you have it in your town? A whole lotta nothing! No animation, no character interaction…nothing. So….it’s just another decoration. But hey, it’s a SUPER CAR…maybe it’s powers are just invisible to us mortals 😉

Hey there family guy addict it’s good to know there’s people out there that literally love this game asmuch as me 🙂 I have a question though I’m not sure if you can help, joes house disappeared on me right and I’ve seen already you’ve write that people have complained about other buildings going missing and I was fine with waiting for it to be sorted but now there’s a mission to do with Chris becoming blobulous that I can’t do as it requires joes house, do you have any inside info as to if there going to sort it before the end of the comic con event? Because I really love this game and would love blobulous, thanks for you time.

There’s a fix on the way for it, but if your houses/buildings are already missing they have to go in and manually fix it. So send them an in game support message about the missing house. They’re high priority and it should get fixed before the end of the event 🙂

My nailgunner didnt show up in my inventory:(. I emailed tinyco and all they keep saying is ” it shuld be innthe inventory ” and ” thanks for playing! “. I mean, its pretty hard to get mad at them when they’re responding within a day, but damb, I want my nailgunner lol.

If the task icon is still visible in your task list, tap on it and the tap on the look at car task. See if that delivers the Nailrunner.

Hi guys. Not been on here since Con event started, was a bit worried about spoilers as I’m an Android user.
Just a quick one, I noticed the next car (Fabulous challenge thingamejig) is on the con event menu, but no actual challenge has been generated yet. U know when it will? Or has it for other people?

I’m curious has ‘anyone’ gotten XL-K from Robo Brian Mystery box? I just spent about 2,500 clams, got “The Clamterprise” on like my 4th box. XL-K was the only one left about 10 boxes ago just getting blame now. Really wanted this this thing. Not going to blow through anymore boxes if it isn’t dropping at all.

I got it an clamterprise back to back. That was luck but it is tiny same size as the dancing camel. Is anyone else having a problem with the blam cars turning a different direction?

I got the car Sunday night,shame it doesn’t do anything,but that’s cool.Still trying to unlock Ron,still have a lot to do to get him.Hopefully I will have him before the next one is interduced so I only have one to unlock instead of multiple ones.

I want to ask a serious question. I know that you are addicts but is it seriously worth dishing out 100s of dollars for a free game? There’s still like a month left in the event and you already have Robuttasauras.

Everyone spends their money for delight in separate ways. Like just a movie can run you upwards of $30 to $40 for just that one time. Only A few hours. A nice meal out can run you upwards of $50+. Again, just a few hours and one time. So it is all a matter of how people get their entertainment and enjoyment. We spend hundreds of dollars on our phones, TVs, Blu Rays, on n on n on. This is just a different form of entertainment. To each their own. 😉

You know what really grinds my gears? The fact that I’ve cleared the Spa from being latched and then sent Patrick to do the Spa quest at the Spa 6 times now and every time I go back he was kicked out because Stewie latches on to the spa during his task again. Its starting to get annoying, I just want to move on in Patrick’s questline but I can’t.. 😦

I only got past that by clearing a bunch of his favourite buildings all at once. I don’t believe for 1 second all buildings have an equal chance – in my town its always the same set he picks from. I cleared the Q, the Spa, and Flappy Jack’s so that I only had 1 Stewie left in town. I sent Patrick into the Spa, and when I woke up 8 hours later, Stewie had luckily gone to the other buildings. Q and the Rock-it Playground I think it was.
The more Stewies you have when you start the task, the harder it is because when they jump, (a) there are more of them jumping,around, increasing the chance they will jump onto your Spa, and (b) less of his favourite non-spa buildings will be available to him. Wait for your zapper to charge up, zap him, use any batteries you have to zap any others you can, then immediately start the task and hope you get lucky with the spawns.

I’m wondering if I should free up Ron or hold out. I have all of his records, puppies and films. I have 9,700 BLAM ready to spend and I know if I free him I will spend 5,000 of that.
Debating if I should wait to see who comes up next and how much blam they will require. Or should I free him up and start sending him on tasks.
I cannot decide if I’m ready to fork over that much Blam for him.

Well, here are the pros to him…he DOES have a task that will have a chance drop of batteries. His tasks DO earn Blam. So it is up to you if you want to see who comes Friday. 😉

I find it interesting that I submitted a comment at 9:26 this morning and, despite other comments getting approved and posted, mine is still awaiting approval from a moderator. I did not say anything inappropriate or in the least bit controversial. Makes me wonder why I’m even bothering to compose this comment.

Please realize and understand that EVERY comment is put through moderation for a reason. If there are issues, especially ones that need further looking into…it allows us the proper time to address it and find accurate information for the reader instead of just pushing it all. Not to mention we do have other things in our daily lives and can’t be here 24/7.
Your comment is still sitting there as we viewed it as needing MORE attention and some looking into before a response is applied and the comment pushed. If its just pushed, out of sight out of mind…then no one gets any help. We are here to help our readers. If there are issues that require contact with TinyCo, that takes time. We have to wait for our own communications with them to go back and forth.
This does not mean your comment is forgotten or being ignored. Just means that we have not got to it OR we wanted to look into it further. In your case, we are looking into the issue of Con just stopping for players as you are not the only one impacted by it. Patience. 😉

I’m fine with being patient, but if you guys are deliberately holding off on allowing me to post on a situation that I’m dealing with I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a little communication. A canned email response would be totally sufficient. Otherwise, it looks like I’m being ignored. I understand this is not all you guys do and you have day jobs, but I’ve seen plenty of responses from you guys throughout the day today. I don’t think responding to me (even if it’s outside the thread) is too much to ask. It’s just the courteous thing to do.

Again, understand…once we push the comment…it goes live on the page….gone from our moderation page. So it is then out of sight and out of mind. Put into a mix of THOUSANDS of other comments. We do NOT want it overlooked, so it sits until we get proper resolution. If you would prefer us to not give the comment the attention it needs, so be it. We will push it. But then please do not come back and say the issue was never addressed. (Double edge sword there.)
We also do not email our readers due to many put incorrect or invalid emails on their comment streams and not to mention it is an invasion of privacy in our minds. That information is YOUR personal information to not be shared or used by ANYONE without permission. So we provide the option of you to email US. That way you can safely feel that you are making contact with us directly. We will NEVER email a reader without express permission from them first. THAT is a common courtesy in our eyes.
Instead of getting upset with those trying to help you, be a little more understanding in how we work and help our readers. Again, YOUR issue is taking time to get a response. Just because another question is simple to answer and move on means nothing at all. It is a shame you view it otherwise. Your other comments have been pushed just fine, so I don’t see where just the one needing an answer is holding up the rest.

Well, like you said, a lot of people are dealing with this issue. I don’t think it’s fair to say that pushing a comment in this situation is putting the subject out of sight and out of mind. But that is neither here nor there. I’ve seen a bunch of comments from other readers on this same exact topic that were approved just fine… With responses from you guys to boot. I’ve seen plenty of examples of a comment being posted and one of you guys responding in the thread that you were working with TC on getting some answers or fixes for bugs. There are options at your disposal… even if you have a fundamental problem with using an email address that I provided to you guys explicitly for communication regarding this site. But that’s whatever. I am continuing to be patient. It would just be nice if you showed me the same consideration that I’ve seen you guys show toward other readers. Sitting on a comment while you seek answers is all well and good, but to leave them in the dark is not very corteous. I hope you can take that as constructive criticism and find a way to improve that aspect of your site. OK, I’m finished. Thanks for your attention, Bunny. I really do appreciate the effort you put into responding to me… late though it was.

I ONLY just got on the site when I first responded to you. Sorry you felt that due to someone did not respond to your issue the second it was posted was making you to remain in the dark. I explained what was going on when you asked. That is all you have to do, ask. Assumptions are unnecessary. We are happy to explain. If there are many of one comment, yes others may go while one waits so that one is kind of the “place holder” for an overall issue. Yours had the most detail, so better suited for the issue to look into. Every issue is different as every comment. So not everyone will be handled the same. Not as easy as a cookie cutter…stamp n go. Lol.
As for emails, it is a legal issue too. Invasion of privacy. EVERYONE has to follow it, not just us. Companies have to ask if it is ok to email, text, w/e. You have to select the option and give permission to them every time. If you would like, email us if it is easier. You are welcome to at any time. We have a method here of following policies and procedures and we will stick to them. Sorry if it made you feel any less important regardless.

I said this last time, but your wording has compelled me to respond again: this will be my last word on the matter. I feel like you have taken offense to what I have to say on the matter. That is unfortunate. I feel like this is an area that the site could use some improvement and ignoring negative feedback is a great way to alienate a percentage of your readers.
Firstly, you said, “Sorry you felt that due to someone did not respond to your issue the second it was posted was making you to remain in the dark.” This seems pretty blatantly directed as an attempt to belittle my point of view. My original post was at 9:26… my follow up post was at 4:11. Multiple other posts were approved and responded to multiple times in between the two posts. I doubt you will find anyone who would be willing to agree that anything I said demonstrated anything remotely in the vicinity of expecting a response a minute after I posted. When I mentioned that the response was late, it was in reference to my original post.
Secondly, I really don’t care if I don’t feel important on your site. I mentioned multiple ways you could handle the situation moving forward (one of which I’ve seen you employ in the past). If you choose not to make any changes, that is completely your call to make. I made the suggestion because I thought it would be a positive change your site could make. I’m not a troll and I’m not here trolling. I’m sorry you don’t like what I have to say on the matter and we clearly don’t see eye to eye on this. And that’s fine. I’m happy to kill this thread right now though. We’ve obviously both said our peace. Feel free to respond and please don’t take offense if i don’t respond. We are currently still looking into it. Last word I saw is they were working on it, but I am awaiting an update on it today and will address the community with the results once we get them. 😉

We want to help all we can. There are so many times I wish I could just reach into games and fix things. Especially on cool events like this. No worries, TinyCo is on it. They have been really good about focusing on issues and getting them fixed as fast as they can. Better response than any other gaming company I’ve seen. 😉

Was able to get the Nail gunner I think it was Sunday and unlocked ole Ron yesterday with out purchasing any of his buildings. That said I really want his trailer but must wait to see what else gets dropped on us in case I want it more. The only open quest ATM is ron fighting an peter wielding his little hammer. So I am about to be looking for stuff to do. Bad combination clams and no tasks available

Put my car in front of my red caravan looks perfect, with regards to the batteries, have the battery factory and got others from collecting and tasks, and using the 4 hour ones from the gun to zap Stewie. Now have just 3 for the recent task to zap Stewie so will get him Friday, and now have saved 15 for when the new car becomes available, hopefully it wil be a simlar task, as going on holiday next week so keeping them in reserve :-). Will have to sneek away and try to do a little using my phone as not sure I will survive without my Family Guy fix, my lovely lady thinks I am obsessed, dont know where she gets that idea from? I put it down to sleep, time will tell. 😉

Just to say that I was going to spend a wee bit of real world money on clams but thankfully the incompetence of google (both play and chrome) in recognising my password(s) has stopped me from doing so…
which is good because the game has cashed on me at least five times in a row every time I play it over the last few days. I tell ya I haven’t been this mad since I played cards with Al Capone.

…We got so many nice things in our Quahogs. Buildings to shop,work and eat in,decorations,people. Hotels for Guest but only 5 houses to live in!?Just thinking out loud again…sorry

Why do the batteries cost an insane amount of clams why not let us use coins???

Because it’s a bonus thing…like buildings that drop items needed to unlock a character. It’s a way to get you to buy clams…if you want to speed things up. BUT you can zap Stewie’s (and unlock characters) with out using clams too. It’ll just take a little longer 🙂

U think this weekend challenge will b the same as last week but zapping more stewies this time or will it b a whole different challenge like collect 2000 blam in three days or something like that because that’s what I’m thinking I don’t think every weekend it’s goin to b da same as last weekend but just increasing the amount we have to zap him but I’m still saving my batteries just in case lol

It’s hard to say. It could have something to do with Stewie OR it could be something entirely new introduced into the game with the character. Save the batteries (better to be safe than sorry) but I think it’d be great if it’s something entirely new! 🙂

Just got my nailguner but I’m still quite a bit off from Ron. I have 9871 blam so I have been playing pretty deligently but still need 3 film, 6 records, and 14 puppies! I have had Bruce going since I unlocked Ron about 4 days ago and he has not dropped 1 single puppy for me. Anyone else have that problem? The 6 I got were all from zapping mutie stewie.

A LOT of people have been saying characters are not dropping items (myself including) only buildings, stewie and nerds are. I feel like getting them from a character task is rarer than from a building, nerd or stewie…I know it’s random, but it just seems that way.

I really wish they would fix something with Mutant Stewie. Every time I remove him from the Q Hotel he goes right back. Only attaching to particular buildings just really ruins it’s effect of a mutant running around town attacking things. If I lived in Quahog I would just not go to those buildings, problem solved for me. This is a little ridiculous.

Is anyone else having as terrible of a time getting plutonium for Stewie as I am?!? It’s crazy. I have everything else I need but Brian’s scootch move and Lois’ vengeance move combined only gets me like one plutonium every 4 or 5 days. UGH. I’m a freemium player so I’ll just continue to be patient. #FGTQFSProblems

Finally got Stewie yesterday!! Got pretty lucky with the plutonium but took me a lot of time to get the bananas to make the Brian outfit.
Oh well. Finally done and can focus 100% on the event.
Unfortunately don’t have any tasks right now. Waiting on new content/new character hopefully tomorrow.

Well I managed to get the car with a day to spare (looks nice as a decoration) but I think I’m just having a major luck spout at the minute! Yesterday, both Lois and Brian dropped plutonium twice! So 4 in one day (and the last I needed for Stewie!), got 4 batteries off nerds this morning, along with 3 jazz CD’s and mutant stewie dropped the last 3 puppies I needed so I’ve got Ron Perlman too! Hopefully, this luck will be passed on to you guys through this message 😀

One of my characters just dropped a small diamond-shaped item. When it was collected in the upper right part of the screen, there was no pop-up progress bar. Any ideas what this is collecting towards?

Slightly unrelated but I couldn’t fling a good spot to pose this question, do you guys have any idea of what the deal is with the exclusive gift for android players for starting the event a week late? I think I saw a pop up about It a few days ago (looked like they were teasing a superhero costume form Joe), but I haven’t seen or heard anything since. Thanks!

For 2 days i cleared the squids and they were all off my q hotel and i did not have a single 1 on my spa. As soon as i set ps to his task in the spa i had a sqid on it n him walking around my town. I eared all squids and set him to task again but the same happened. So i did it over again but i left a squid that had just landed on the school( cant move for 8hours) i left the game closed it fully and loaded bak in to find……. squid on spa n ps walking( sooooooooooo f-ing much for 8 hours) i thought sod it ill try 1 more time. So i waited untill a squid spawned and cleared all 3 at a cost of 15clams for the 3rd, set ps to spa task then closed the game, wnt back on and suprise surfingprise a sqid on the spa and ps walkin. Now i had a squid spawn, set task, left game and returned in under 5 mins. So i gabe up and payed the 16 clams and rushed the job. That was at 2am and it is now 4:30pm and not a single squid on the spa. 31 clams and nearly 2day to do a 8hour task. All i can say is money grabbing twats at tinyco have got to do something special or im uninstalling the game. If ANYTHING like this happens again and fgtqfs is gone. They owe me already for 27 items i have lost due to crashes befor the event, there so called support staff have not responded since the 14th july, there only response may aswel have called me a lier by saying it is impossible to loose items even though i have. This has to end. Ea are better then this and they are almost useless unresponsive ignorent c####s but they still do there job and dont call you a lier and provide you with compensation to cover loss where it is deserved

I can understand you feel it is not working for you. May I make a suggestion? Instead of clearing them all, especially if they’re not on a building you need…let them stay. Then go about your regular tasks. THEN if they hop on one you need…zap them. They only spawn once every 3 hours to a max of 4, then hang out for 8 hours before moving on to another building.
So for me, it helps to leave a max of them around and not clear them. I have also noticed they seem to like new buildings, so watch and see if you place a new building into Quahog if they follow same in your town.
As for the issue of lost items with a crash. I understand the frustration there. I know its difficult. Due to the game crashed, there was no log the item existed. So hard to locate and replace it. I know it is frustrating. We have ALL been through it. Alissa got Rupert and it happened. I got eyeballs and headbands and it happened. Game is a work in progress. Could be device issue, WiFi, etc. Too much going on to narrow issue. I might suggest you try one more time to approach them. Do it with understanding and constructive criticism. “You get more flies with honey” so to speak. Lay out your issue before them, ask what they CAN do to help you. See what happens. Can’t hurt, right? 😉

I’m faring quite better with this event then the moon idol event. I’m currently sitting on 27, 567 Blams. What a sugar rush. I’m a quarter away from George, I hope I will be able to get enough to get him. I also hope we see something that combines all the vehicles if you do get them all. That would be awesome do it like the Power Rangers Megazoid lol

I completed the tasks of blasting Stewie…but never got the prize..in fact the timer is still running. When I tap the “GO” button to check out the car nothing happens….guess I worked on the task for nothing. Wrote to tinyco three times…no response…any idea why I’m stuck?

That’s your best bet, is to keep contacting them via the in game support. Take screenshots of the task showing complete as well (the popup with the check marks) so you have proof it was complete. And when I say keep contacting them…I don’t mean every 5 minutes. Maybe every day or so 😉

It sure would be nice if I was able to play my game and work toward this prize…. I was well on my way to claiming it when the event ended prematurely on my device. I know I’m not the only one to experience this, but I also know there’s no real timeline on a fix for the issue. So now the issue probably won’t be fixed in time for me to claim the prize. Not to mention this is yet another serious cramp in my attempts to catch up with Apple users’ Blam! counts. *sigh* I know TC is doing what they can, but this is such a drag. It totally sucks the enjoyment out of the game knowing I’m out in the cold while others are progressing nicely. With this most recent setback, I highly doubt TC will be able to make good on their promise to even out the playing field. This Sucks.

Hey, i have unlocked ron perlman but still have 8 batteries left for my zapper for mutant stewie, do you think they will carry on dropping items for the next character on friday? Should i just stock up and only use ordinary time recharges?

I have 8/15 stewie octopus and 1day and 8 hour left ( not sure ). I hope i get the nailgunner.and i have a little question. Can you get the final car if you have only 4 cars ?????

I think if you don’t unlock one within the allotted time it skips to the next car, not sure how it’ll play out on the last day just yet though.

It is still possible to get the last 7 seeing as you get 6 shots a day also keep clicking on the red and yellow nerds I have gotten 2 batteries from them.
