Hello There Clammers!
Well I take a night off to celebrate my cousin’s wedding and TinyCo decides to blow up the game! What the hell?! Oh wait wrong post… 😉
So looks like with all of the craziness of the failure to launch last night…things are finally starting to get under control. I know many of you are still locked out, but hopefully all will be restored soon.
Now that things are restored in some places we can get a look at what TinyCo had in mind for this weekend. Looks like the new item of the week(end) is Pesticide Mystery Boxes…
More details will be below the fold, but basically these are designed (as you can guess) to get you more pesticides to help you defeat Giant Stewie. However, they cost clams (95 clams each box) and in my own opinion…NOT WORTH IT. Save your clams! At least for now. If if gets to the last days of the event and you’re just shy of getting George (or another prize you really want) then it might be worth the investment.
So here are the details…
In your shopping cart you’ll see the Rupert Triplets…each holding a Mystery Box.
Each box contains one of the colors of pesticides you’ll need to beat Giant Stewie. Each box is guaranteed to yield 6, 9 or 12 pesticides of that color:
So for 95 clams you can buy pesticides to help you defeat Stewie faster. And so far those are the details of the weekend event that stopped Quahog. I’m sure there was more planned (at least based on the description from the app stores)…
I guess maybe the bombs blew up Quahog? 😉
Anyway…we’ll be back with more, if there is more. So what do YOU think of the update? Will you be buying boxes? Having trouble seeing what type of pesticides I need to defeat Giant Stewie for the third time. Don’t want my clock to run out and lose my progress. Can anyone help?

Are you tapping on the Convention Center to call up the Giant Stewie mini game pop up? It will always show you the current needed color in the “you need” bar. 🙂

ever since I purchased Bryan Cranston I have been able to reach the top streak level every day. This is amazing. every 2 hours I get 4 pesticides.
its awesome….
I was a tiny bit disappointed this morning though. when my 24 hr clock ran out from being on the top streak level I earned tons of blam…..but I am now only 600 blam short of the lois costume. hopefully I can get it today from other blam earning tasks and nerd tapping :-). if not then 100% I will have it tomorrow morning after my giant stewie timer runs out.

Good job! Yeah, buying Cranston you get a cool character and a pesticide producing machine. I get 4 a pop too. Love it. 😉

I refuse to buy Cranston as a freemium player, myself – but just a tactic to share… Don’t get rid of Giant Mutant Stewie even if you have the minimum number of pesticides… Wait until you have a minute left. In the time between you gaining the minimum and the minute left, continue getting additional pesticides before resetting the timer to another 24 hours. I’ve kept at the top this way since the start.
Separately, the bonus from Tiny Co for 50 free clams was a nice touch.
And finally, how many damned times does Lois have to send passive aggressive emails before the game clocks the task as completed?

How many pesticides do you need in order to get the maximum streak

18 for the first time you defeat Giant Stewie at the 25X multiplier level. Then 29 to defeat him again to keep the streak going. It will stay at 29 pesticides amount until you fail to defeat him before the timer runs out and it resets to 1X.

I run my streak up to the 18 count. Get one 2500 Blam payout. Then let it reset to zero. The 29 “cans” actually is a worse Blam per Can ratio. So not worth it. 😉

I also have noted that getting things straight out is cheaper to for example:I need 2 more records for Ron. In the drop down box it says 10 each but in the get it now box it says unlock everything for 40. That’s double the cost! Bs!

True, it’s like shopping at Costco. Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy smaller quantities at your local market than one giant one from their shelves. Lol 😉

I have yet to be able to load the game. It got deleted and I downloaded it again and I’m back at square one. This is every frustrating as I was in the 30’s and was pretty much up to date with all characters.

No, you keep your current totals, it just resets the timer to a new 24 hour time frame and drops your current “streak” back down to 1X. 🙂

Thanks… And about the boxes.. In pretty sure you will get more pesticide for less clams just speeding up task.. Just a thought, boxes just aren’t worth it

You’re right about the speeding up tasks ploy. If a player is going to use clams, it is the much better route to take. 😉

getting pesticides seems to take too ling for me. I have a lot of clams like 550 but geez I hate to waste them. I have discovered that when bombing the moving mutant stewies, theres more upon entering the game after a couple hrs. What I do it find a few together, keep quickly tapping them all so they stop moving. Wait as I keep touching those until a couple others walk closeby then also tap them all too. You have to be fast, and everyone just sits there yelling at you. Ive collected up tons of little moving Stewies in a group that way. Then really fast grab the bomb and it hits them all easier. Buying bombs is worth it I think, if buying anything for this event. I havent unlocked any celeb except Patrick S. as of yet. My items rarely drop for me. I have been really thinking before I purchase clam items. I need couns for Meg coins come slowly for the amt you need, and coins are so overpriced I refuse to buy. For $5 a person ought to be getting 10000 coins. I am impatient by nature & always have to stop myself from hurrying tasks when they get down to an hour.

It’s cheaper and quicker than buying the diner. Maybe give it a little go with peter and over eating to see if you can get any to fall to get the rate down a little. You have the whole event to unlock him, I do think it’s worth trying a little bit to see if you can get some sundaes to drop. 🙂

I bought blob once he dropped lower than the diner. He’s worth it for the collection, but also because his 2hr actions mirror peter’s. Peter’s have a chance at red/green and red/orange, whereas Blobs is orange/red and orange/green, so in combo with peter it helps build spray combos fast.
I hit the 25x streak about 5 hours ago and thanks to Chris, Pete, and Cranston I’m sitting on 20/15/4 atm (green hit twice during streak today), and finally ahead on the calendar. (44k)

I will say that if you’ve unlocked Ron, I wouldn’t bother with the battery factory. I’ve got no latchers, and at least 3 batteries at all times. I know one of the other chars has a short battery task too coming up, so that just makes the factory less worth it. (Wishing I had my clams back, lol)

It happened after unlocking Felicia and Blob…ular… or whatever. Was on the pop up screen.
In addition, don’t know how to take screens with my phone. But I promise I saw it twice! So strange…

I saw the diamond icon instead of a clam when I got Red Hot earlier today. I imagine it’s just a graphic glitch of some sort.

Lol…awesome job! It hasn’t done that in my game yet. Definitely an graphic assignment error (similar to when Butt idols replace the Blam). Thanks for posting those. It will make “Sparks” very happy. 😉

All in all today was a very accomplished day today. I unlocked red hot lois and the blaze (at the exact same time I might add lol) I pulled ahead of the calendar by almost 4 days. And the highlight accomplishment of my day in my opinion was having Brian drop the last maraca needed for his costume this morning unlocked it ten minutes later immediately putting him on the slow motion task. And now 12 hours and several weeks later I can finally say the evil mastermind baby Stewie Griffin is all mine YAY!!!!

I can’t find if this has been posted or not so I’m sorry if it’s a repeat. In the Felcia Day task, Red-headed rivalry Part two, Lois is supposed to be sent on a six hour task of “writing passive aggressive emails.” I have now sent her twice on this task and it is not checked off on the task list. Is this a known glitch? Any suggestions? I do not have Felcia yet, but it never mattered before to have other people complete tasks. Thanks for all your help!!

I’ve sent another message to TinyCo with a suggestion. I think that they should have more characters earning items and pesticides. For instance like the premium characters (which as of now earn coins rather than items which is annoying as I paid for the characters) such as Consuela: give her a 4 hour task for some pesticides or something. Cleveland needs a useful task (since his addition to the game he’s been less than worthless except coins) and Jake as well.

Wouldn’t it though? Even if it was a rare drop it would help soooo much with the event! I have Consuela, Buzz Killington, and Jake in my Quahog just doing the same tasks over and over 😦 so much potential.

I’m waiting for confirmation from TinyCo about that spawn rate. From what I’ve noticed it’s yellow shirt nerds as well that spawn from it…as soon as we have the spawn rate we’ll pass it along 🙂

I just vanquished stewie for the 25x bonus and the streak is continued another 25x (as expected) but it reset the clock so I have 24 hours to get 18 more green pesticides. A

In my opinion…yes. He drops 4 pesticides every 2 hrs…it’s a GREAT return to help you beat giant stewie quickly and earn more blam!

ok just got an update for the game pushed through google app store and there is a subtle but MASSIVE change in the sundaes for blobulus. getting them from the nerds is now gone and only peter over eating or the diner you buy with clams gives them out!!! man i sure hope this is a mistake cause they are damn near impossible to get anyway and removing the (very small) chance for the nerds to drop em just bites the big one.

Nerds have never been on the list as far as I know. You can get them from zapping latchers but that option only shows up if you have a latcher present in your town when you check the tasks.

hhhhhhmmmmm it was the latchers and not the nerds and i do not have any on the board at this time. next time one shows i’ll take a look. i hope you’re right about why it’s missing from my game.

reuben was right 🙂 you win 4 more HAMS!!!! once a latcher showed up the list was updated. still only got 1 sundae and but all the rest done. on well maybe in the future the drop rates will increase.
the buildings are being nice to me for felicia and dropping stuff regularly, maybe in another week i will have her unlocked. bruce and bonny working 24/7 for her stuff and not getting many but the clamterprise and board game building dropping on the regular.

And a third bug while I’m at it. Felicia’s larping task is supposed to always dropped an orange pesticide and occasionally a battery (extra rare). Right now she always drops batteries (which disappear for me due to a bug) and never a pesticide, because of which I have exactly missed my streak now…ughhh

Similar thing is happening with Ron. I think it’s a cross up in the coding. Definitely send an in game message to TinyCo about it…

with the blam, i was able to reach the 25 times multiplier and i thought it would reset but the number of pesticides just increased, but it seems like the best thing to do is to let it reset by itself becuase it would then make it easier not only to get the challange car; but to get prizes in general; what would you guys recommend, should we reset it at a certain multiplier? for example maybe at times 8?

Yes it just keeps going up. Best thing to do (in my opinion) is to get it built all the way up and then let it reset (bring the timer back to 0 with out defeating him) and then build it back up again. 🙂

For the writing passive aggressive emails for the Felicia Day quest task, the FAQ says that it will NOT count towards the quest until you have Felicia Day unlocked. 🙂

I am currently not a fan of these boxes. Mainly because i was drunk last night and purchased one just so i could get the car in time before realising i would have had time to let it reset and spend 1 pesticide instead of 18… Note to self, do not play while drunk. Also wasted all my clams on brian mystery box and got junk 😦 Still the Blam! boost was nice and im currently sat at just below 30k. Which considering i was aiming for the 35k by events end is pretty good going. Loving the giant Stewie in general. Given me a big boost and some hope that i could with some effort and some minor clamming get to 100k after all.
