UPDATE 8-15 2PM EST (Bunny): Due to confusion from players on Part 3 of “Bombs Away” with Blobulous, his two hour task to get Bombs will be disabled until Part 3 is completed. (People were sending Blobulous 2hr instead of Chris 4hr.) Then it will return. Also, Stan Lee Trailer not dropping will has a fix on its way.

Hello There Clammers!
Phase 4 of Comic Con is upon us! Another celebrity has hit our towns and Stewie has changed yet again! App Store Update has hit!
More details are on the way…just as soon as we go through everything ourselves. But for now…as usual…Peter kicks things off for phase 4! (note you have to have completed the Enfant Terrible Part 6 questline for phase 4 to start for you)

First let’s cover the new stuff….
When you first start the update you’ll go through the tutorial for bombing Stewie’s minions…THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! And can only be stopped by Bombs. Peter kicks off this part in the questline called Bombs Away. Here’s the basic details (As always we’ll have a FULL rundown post of the details in the Stewie Bombs soon):
Once you go through the tutorial you’ll have to reload to enable the full bomb feature in Quahog.
You’ll have to hard close out of your game and go back in to trigger it to reload.
Various tasks will earn more bombs…or (of course) you can spend clams on them and buy more:

Hit 4 at once. Got a clam from it.
I thought I hit 6 of them but 2 walked away. I’m glad the blue nerds give out bombs. It would be difficult to get 300 stewies waiting on the red, yellow or celebs

I’ve tried removing all the streets besides a small strip and the minion stewies continue to walk wherever they please. I also have plenty of them just strolling through the grass as well. I don’t know if it’ll take time after the update for this strategy to work but that’s my input. Side note: I’m a first time commentator, long time lurker but this website and community have made this great game even more enjoyable.

I was enjoying this event up until now. BUT NOW, Stan lee waiting to be saved, nerds and mutant stewies everywhere, now earning bombs and shooting mutant stewies, earning pesticides, superhero griffins, I am in A.D.D. HEAVEN! The question is, how can TinyCo top this?? THANKS TC!

I have a question. Does this new mutation affect Giant Stewie at all? I’m not ready for him to mutate. Saving up bug spray and waiting out the timer. I held off on the update to be certain. From the sound of it, that may be a good thing, anyway. I’m a little over a hundred Blam! shy of earning Flame. And Lois is 2 hrs into an 8 hr task. I’m assigning all non-essential characters long indoor tasks to keep my streets clear.

Oh my god this update is cool so far! Minion Stewies are a pain but drop so much Blam if you get a nice cluster of them! And the Tricycle car challenge seems challenging but doable! And Stan the Man is finally here! Can’t get much better than this really.

Does this glitch have anything to do with the minons being stuck at the convention center and the bombs not dropping? If so i have it, if not then i have a different problem.

You need to bomb them first, they are part of the tutorial. Have you completed all parts of the Enfant Terrible quest?

Yes I’ve completed everything but the bomb tutorial it seems. I hit bombs away and the target comes up but the bomb never drops.

I’ve done everything, I’ve restarted the game and restarted my phone. The only thing I haven’t done is the uninstall reinstall. Everything else seems to work.

I don’t seem to have any Minions yet… I have the quest, and bombs, but no-one to hit with them. I’ve tried force-close, etc, and now will try waiting, as it’s only just started and could easily take a while. I had the crashing at the start bug too, but a few retries got round that… Where do the minions spawn from, anyway? Can they be corraled for easy targeting?

Look for the 2 standing still in front of the convention center…you have to bomb those as part of the tutorial before others will spawn.

I updated but no minions are showing up, and when I’m in the bombsight screen, it doesn’t move when I swipe my finger. The only way out is to hardclose and the minions still don’t appear..

Have you completed all of the Enfant Terrible quest line? And if you did, you triggered the new minion quest with Peter? The screen won’t scroll until you complete the tutorial also.

Loving the new update. I don’t need some of items that drop from bombing Stewie, so I have had Clams drop twice!
But is it just me, or does anyone else get the urge to scratch a phantom itch seeing all those little Stewies scampering around? (Guess it is just I’m and addict and it all seems so real)

Ok so after my game locked up on the bomb screen. I minimized the game(hit the home button) and went back into it a few seconds later (did not force close it). The bomb dropped after I went back to the game.

Quick hint that most of you probably figured out… You can tap the minion stewies and they’ll stay stationary for a moment. Keep tapping the same one until another approaches, then tap both so they stay close to each other, until more approach, etc. Eventually, you’ll have lots of stewies all being held in one place by your taps and you can bomb them all at once.

Took me about 2 minutes to see if I could build a dead end to trap them in long enough to bomb em. They walk between the buildings and along the edge of uncleared land. Will keep trying but they seem to just go wherever they want to. Hopefully someone will figure out to trap em in one place.

Here’s one tip for now that I have used….scroll around until you see the largest group, then fire a little ahead of them so they walk into the gas zone. It will be trial and error for a bit. 😉

Whenever I get a couple minions close to each other, I tap each one repeatedly and wait for more minions to join the group and keep tapping them as well, since it causes them to freeze for a few seconds. Then I quickly aim the bomb into the center of the group and it kills most of them.

I love the minions I got the last 3 sundaes I needed for Blobulous almost immediately. Unfortunately I had Peter and Quags doing their missions for them. Oh well just so happy Stan Lee has shown up. He was the only celebrity I cared about. I have 284 clams at them moment and will use them all if I need to in order to unlock him. I will work to get his items without clams but if it looks like I’m not going to get him before the event ends I will use as many as I need to. Excelsior!

I have a bad feeling that I am not catching up. I am at about 16,500 blam right now. I almost have Ron unlocked, Felicia maybe half way. I need 2 bloody records to finish Ron and can not get them. I swear Quagmire is bugged. I have done that task 11 times in a row without a single drop. It is holding me up on other things too since I can not free Quagmire up to work on Chris’ costume.
No sign of the update on my Kindle yet.

Make sure you bomb a little ahead of walking minions so they walk through most of the gas. There will be some trial and error for a bit, but you’ll get there. 😉

It did that to me and I had to force close with the task manager, then go back in and do the initial trial bombing in front of the convention center…it had like a 10 second delay but afterwards I was able to close it again (and confirm close in task manager) then the minions to began spawning and bombing worked fine.

I know there will be a post on getting bombs but didn’t it say if you hard close your game it resets to 3? Tried a few times and it didn’t work. Does it reset after a certain amount of time?

Just a heads up for people dropping bombs. If the minion stewies walk out of the bomb smoke during the animation, they will not be destroyed. I don’t know if this is a glitch or not

No, you need to fire on them when they are exposed to the gas for the longest time I have found. I fire ahead of them so they walk through most of the gas.

I think I found a glitch already. It says that every minion the gas touches dies, yet I’ve had like 4 of them just walk right through the gas and lived.

Let us know how that works…it looked at first that they were sticking to sidewalks, but then I noticed them wandering the grassy areas and the border areas where you can’t build….got 8 hours of experimenting before Stan gets free and the minions can drop his items…thinking of doing minimal bombing til then…Stan takes priority over Blobulus.

OMG – bombing the minions is so much fun. It’s awesome… And in my first few minutes I got the last two ice creams I needed! Awesome… Now if only I hadn’t just put Peter and Quagmire on long tasks to get ice creams…

First thoughts and stray observations:
(1) These things are friggin’ creeping me out! It looks like my screen is infested with bed bugs or something.
(2) I am loving the blame drops on the minions. Between them and hitting a 25X giant Stewie I am now a little shy of 46K. Nearly caught up to the iOS calendar as a freemium player (I did use some clams to finish off bloculous before the sundae fixes came through).
(3) The blue nerds will drop bombs.
(4) I have gotten some coins from the minions, so they are not just dropping blame!
(5) If only i hadn’t sent Red Hot to a 12 hr task overnight!!

Speaking of Breaking Bad, I succumbed to my addiction and opened my wallet for Bryan Cranston today. So far, it was $9.99 well spent (already had 250 clams saved up). My streets are so full! I have the Minion Stewies, the nerds, and the District 8(?) Wizards. I just unlocked them today! I also unlocked Felicia today!
I hate everything being so crowded, but I love this game! I have put zero of my own money in and feel like I am doing really well in the game!

I’ve noticed that mine run across grass. This is one spot where not being far in the game would help! Could cover way more ground with the bombs. That is, unless they scale the coverage back for lower levels.

Half a million coins and not a single new building to spend them on? Getting sick and tired of so many buildings only being available for clams. That they only drop items for one char or event makes them very poor value. I understand that they arent required, but some of them are very nice looking buildings for our towns. Just an idea, but perhaps after the char or item is already unlocked that requires the items dropped from a clam-only building, the price could drop or be available for a high coin cost? I’m not going to buy a trailer for 100 clams just for it to drop one of the items to unlock one character, but I would spend 25 clams or 50k coins or more for it after I’ve unlocked that char just to have that item in my town. Prices are just off the top of my head, but I’m sure Tiny Co could work it out if they wanted.

My game crashes a lot while working on the new mutant stepwise quest, and stuck on the 2nd quest which is to shoot one mutant stewie. I completed it and have a check mark but not have received the credit for it.
