Hello There Clammers!
It’s nerd city in Quahog these days as the Comic-Con Event is upon us! Not only have the nerds invaded the streets of Quahog, but celebrities are popping up all over the place! The fifth celebrity you’ll find hanging around Comic-Con is Stan Lee!
Personally, I’m a HUGE fan of this aspect of the Comic-Con Event. I think it’s incredibly awesome to see guest stars make appearances, as playable characters, in TQFS! It adds a level of excitement to the game, and I’m loving every minute of it! Can’t wait to see how the others make their grand entrances!
Of course to enjoy all Stan has to offer in TQFS you’ll have to unlock him, which is sometimes easier said than done! So let’s take a closer look at the details behind the Creator….
Stan arrives in Quahog via the Comic-Con Event. You’ll find him dangling from the flagpole (after Mutant Stewie stuck him there). It’ll cost you 200 Blam! and take 8hrs to repair the flagpole & “cut” Stan down. Once you’ve freed him from the webs of Mutant Stewie, you’ll have to recruit him to stay in Quahog for Comic-Con. Of course you do this by collecting STUFF, did you expect something different? 😉
Note: Once the event is over Stan will stay in your Quahog FOREVER, as long as you fully unlock him. In other words you have to collect all the stuff required to unlock him. If you don’t fully unlock him and add him as a playable character BEFORE Comic-Con ends he’ll leave with the event.
Unlocking Stan Lee isn’t too terrible, but he does have 4 requirements (and one of them is a TON of Blam!). The items are Rare and Extra Rare so the drop rates & time to unlock him will vary. Let’s take a closer look at what’s required:
15 Movie Cameras
15 Notebooks
10 Classic Books
15,000 Blam!
-You can earn the Movie Cameras by bombing Minion Stewies. You can also earn them from making Mort Hold a Fundraiser or Patrick Stewart do Football tricks for 12 hrs. They’ll also occassionally drop from Outhouse of Loneliness. Or you can spend clams for them to always drop from Quahog Film Museum.
-You can earn the Notebooks by making Lois Write Passive Aggressive Emails. You can also get them from tapping Red Shirt Nerds. Or you can spend clams and get them to always from Stan Lee’s Trailer.
-You can earn the Classic Books by bombing Minino Stewies. You can also earn them from making Quagmire watch My Little Furry. They’ll also occasionally drop from the “Q” Hotel. Or you can spend clams and always get them from the Old Timey Book Store
–Blam! is earned by completing tasks for Characters from Districts 1 and 2 (Peter, Bonnie, Chris, Quagmire, Jerome & Bruce), it will also fall from the Calmterprise, the “Q”, the Convention Center, zapping nerds & Mutant Stewies (also bombing minions and spraying giant Stewie with pesticides) & can be earned from completing parts of the questline for Comic-Con. You’ll need 15,000 Blam! to Unlock Stan. Keep in mind once you unlock him, you’ll lose those 15,000 Blam! from your on hand total (top left, next to coins).
So now that we know HOW to unlock Stan Lee, let’s take a look at his tasks once he’s unlocked:

There you have it….the details on bringing this comic genius to Quahog! As you can see Stans’s got a few Blam! earning tasks, which is great because once unlocked you’ll have another character to help you earn Blam! Once unlocked he’ll continue with his own questline, The Creator, which will help you earn more Blam!

I just got Stan Lee and I am working on his first quest. It is Write A Comic Book and it is a 12 hour quest. Problem is, he won’t start the quest. The quest is at the top of the list and I can move it into his thought bubble. Then… nothing. He just wanders around doing nothing. I have tried it like 30 times since yesterday.

Hmmmm…very odd. Have you tried some troubleshooting? Like force close, restart device, or…if you have your game saved to an email or Facebook account…uninstall/reinstall…then log back in to the saved account?

It’s probably cause the headquarters is locked from Stewie. You’ll have to zap him to unlock the building

Stan the Man made this event for me.
Way more than any of the other charachters. And he actually says Excelsior!
Peter Parkour is his best action.
Once things calm down intend to get Stan, Ron, and our interpid heros together for a team up againt the dreaded Robuttsaurus!

I just looked at my clams and I HAD 217 CLAMS this event has been awesome before it i barely had any clams and now 217 anyone else gained a few hundred clams from this event?

Any more word on the “special” present we lowly Android players get?
I really wish there would have been more to Stan’s questline. I was hoping for some interaction between the special characters as a treat if you’ve managed to unlock them all so far.

Ok, this has been bugging me for a while now and I feel the need to share my thoughts. Nathan Fillion will be the pinnacle of this event…after GT of course. I have saved up a ton of clams to buy him. I even traded in stuff at my local gaming store to be able to purchase more clams just I’m case. I have one small hope though. Please, oh please, have some tie in to Firefly. I will pay a boat load of clams to have Serenity in the game…that is all.

I’ve unlocked Felicia and am 1 camera away from Stan, but I’m still 5 records away from Perlman. Quagmires drop rate is ridiculous.

That seems to happen for me all the time in this game. I have a feeling the algorithm changes as we near a goal. Either that or every time they start messing with drop rates I am at those points.

After what seems like weeks of Quagmire watching My Little Furry he finally dropped a jazz record for me. One! That’s it – no books and one record in days of doing just that task. That’s a disappointing drop rate.

Love Stan “The Man”, but unfortunately I have yet to unlock him in my game. I need a handful of movie cameras, and those 12 hour wait times are a bit annoying as well as the drop rate. That said, Stan is the only celebrity I have yet to unlock as I hit the 100k for Takei a couple of nights ago. I figure if I have to I will drop some clams on the building just before the event ends so I can make sure I get him.

I just unlocked him last night. I fell asleep before I could make him do his first task because the Fab. 4 HQ was invaded by a latcher stwie and did not have bateries.
Oh well, Quagmire Refuses to drop Jazz Records, It’s been 3 weeks and I have 7. Im considering getting these last 3 records with clams. It’s ridiculous how I had Felicia and Stan with Ron still waiting for Jazz Records

I’m the same, everything unlocked apart from Ron. I see maybe 2 records a week with Quagmire doing the task almost exclusively. Maybe we all need to send TinyCo a message and ask them to put the drops back to the nerds or let the Stewies drop them as there’s clearly something going on.

I was making great progress last thurs/fri/sat but then they changed the drop rates 😦 all I need now is 5 more movie cameras and they’re becoming a pain in the butt, so I might cave and get the film museum with all the free clams they’ve given me lol

I feel it’s much easier to get stuff to unlock characters in the first day they get released (Friday) and the following day. I’ve managed to unlock all the flagpole characters, within 48 hours after their release, without spending any clams. I then look on here to see how people are getting on and it seems like people are finding it hard to get stuff after the weekend. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Or have I just been lucky, in which case I’ve probably jinxed myself for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

Stan lee is a good addition too my town especially if he is jumping around like a spider just wondering does the bomb suppose to say uncommon since it said Stan lee will always drop bombs?

I think it’s just a wording issue…it was happening with pesticides too.

I always get one bomb from him and occasionally get a second. So I think one is always and his second is uncommon.
