New Buildings:
Fillion’s Maid Service- 5,000 Blam! Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs
Quahog Copy Center- 100 Clams Always drops Porno Mags
Foaming Clam Bath and Body Shop- 100 Clams Always drops Lotion
Paper and Stuff- 150 Clams Always drops Calculators
Biggest Change….Stewie has Mutated AGAIN:
Giant Stewie is no longer in Quahog…instead he’s replaced by Demon Stewie. He’ll loom over your Convention Center and you have to attack him, just you Giant Stewie…only this time with Harpoons!
Defeat Demon Stewie with Harpoons:
So at this point pesticides are no longer valid in the game. HOWEVER…TinyCo has provided a FREE pesticide conversion box. Where you can convert pesticides you had to Harpoons.
Conversion Boxes:
At this point pesticides are useless…so you’ll have to convert what you have into Harpoons by using the Conversion box:
(Side note from Bunny: Rupert is Dr Manhattan from Watchmen for those curious. Hence…the box placement. Lol. )
Inside you’ll be able to convert your pesticides to various amounts of Harpoons in the varieties required to beat Stewie:
New Questlines:
Stan and Felicia BOTH got new Questlines AND tasks (We’ll have more on those later). Stan the Man, Stan kicks off, and Feminerd, Felicia Kicks off. (hmmm are they channeling Bunny???)
New Character:
New premium character released…Nathan Fillion. He’ll cost 250 Clams.
He will ALWAYS drop 3 Harpoons with his 4hr task.
New Costume:
Multiplier has been released for Quagmire!
To unlock the Multiplier you’ll have to collect STUFF…here’s what you’ll need:

So I have got all the Blam prizes and already have 40,000 blam with nothing new to spend it on, my question is do you thnk there will still be some new items to buy with Blam or even something that allows us to convert Blam to coins, or better yet clams in the near future?

I’m not upset about the conversion from pesticides to harpoons, but what really kills me is that I spent a considerable amount of build time and Blam! to make four Training montage training centers that are essentially useless now. TC needs to update them so that they drop harpoons instead of pesticides!

I’m on the same boat there, though I was mostly building them to occupy build time. I may switch to building duplicates of other buildings. Like turn that froyo place into an oversaturated chain.

I gamed out doing this but figured that a 4000 blam building that dropped maybe the equivalent of 220ish blam a day wasn’t quite worth the investment either way. This wasn’t a downside risk I foresaw though. Oh well, live and learn.

Just two more books and Cameras are need for Stan Lee and Ihad the same Frozen problem for Felicia Day’s first task as well. Stiil, I Think That went away.
However, I’m so close to having Stan Lee, if onlhy the Itelms drop are quicker than ever.

Pesticide/Harpoon Math for those who seem (based on comments below) to be on an early stage of the event…i.e. Giant Mutant Stewie hasn’t mutated into Giant Demon Stewie…(I’m sure Bunny knows what event will trigger the change for those who started the game late)
Pesticides:
Cost of running the ladder thru 25x = 39 pesticides
Total Blam earned = 5100
Av. yield/pesticide = 130.7 Blam,
Harpoons:
Cost of running the ladder thru 30x = 59 harpoons
Total Blam earned = 7695
Av. yield/harpoon = 130.4
Average trade in value of Pesticides:
5 pesticides (worth 653.5 Blam) =
2 Harpoons (worth 260.8 Blam) a loss of nearly 400 blam…
So if you are WAY behind on Blam (which if you just started, you probably are) it makes sense to spend all your pesticides before you hit whatever quest triggers the demon transformation. If you’re doing fine on Blam it makes sense to stockpile the pesticides for harpoon exchange before starting the Blobulous Bike challenge.

While I’m entirely not cool enough to get the Dr Manhattan reference, I thought Rupert’s box placement was an homage to the Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg spoof SNL song, “D@#! In A Box.”

Yeah, that’s been the gag the whole time, it’s just more explicit this time around since Dr. Manhattan doesn’t wear clothes. (I can’t recall how the movie version of the comic dealt with this though.)

Latcher stewie is barely giving harpoon now…last update got a pesticide every single time unless an item dropped…with the new update I have gotten 2 or 3 calculators which I think is awesome however the 4 or 5 that didnt have a calculator gave only 1 harpoon ….the others where just some cash and experience no item or harpoon….is this right…did they just change it from the way pesticides rolled out every time

The items are random and also are impacted by their levels of rarity. So you may see a lot or a lil at a time.

Anyone know when the 4 days for Blobulous’ bike actually starts? I have the quest, but there is no timer on it. I haven’t attacked Demon Stewie yet since getting the quest, so I am assuming that the timer won’t start until the first attack post quest. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

I personally like him for the tasks, he’s voiced, it’s Nathan…Lol, and he does help out with getting Harpoons. It all comes down to this…will YOU be happy with the purchase AFTER the event is over? It is one of those things where it is a personal choice on a premium item in your town. You have til the end of the event to decide to get him.

Double check your building menu for the Maid Service. Many are saying the timer has not started. Have you hit Demon once yet?

Double reference on the pesticide conversion option. Human Rupert is Dr. Manhattan and the “product placement” refers to The Lonely Island’s song, “D1ck In a Box.” Nice move there, TinyCo. Not happy that I now need 750 Clams to finish the ComicCon character collection though. I just broke 300 and was thinking why not go for Bryan Cranston – worst case scenario I get Consuela. Looks like worst case scenario now.

I have started the bike challenge but don’t have a 4 day countdown on it, do we have to guess, or, will the time start when I defeat the first of 9. Loving this event got everything so far but don’t want to miss a vehicle.

i just had something ineresting happen, not sure if this a glitch or not but i just did stan lee’s 16 hour task (the 1 in the gadget shop& the 20 hour 1 (nap on the griffins couch) & i went to speed them up expecting it to cost an insane amount of clams but it only cost me 2 clams each time! & i have nathan fillion & the multiplier. only thing i’m having trouble with is the last 2 parts of the bombardier quest where u have to hit 8 minion stewies & then 10 with 1 bomb. all the other parts were fairly easy! this is gonna drive me nuts if i can’t finish it! because so far in this game, there hasn’t been anything i haven’t been able to finish/complete so far!

Was sitting on >100 pesticide before the update dropped and first didn’t noticed the conversion box. Was about to write Tinyco some passive aggressive emails, Louis style 😉 Now I’m happy that they didn’t add another Stewie on top, cause it was getting kind of busy.
BTW thanks for the info about fabolous challenge. Was wondering why it hasn’t start for me (didn’t attack Stewie…)

I was sitting on over 80, and waiting to use a max multiplier when the game stole them from me for what? Not even 20 harpoons??? I”d MUCH rather be able to use my pesticides and collect blam that way and get a lot more blam!!! Really pisses me off. Plus, I used a lot of bombs when tapping minion Stewies didn’t keep them in place for longer than a split second. (Glitch?)
All of this without a warning or even a hint that pesticides would have no use except to convert to the MUCH less valuable harpoon? Not even a chance to use them without an update?!? I play other games (like MouseHunt) where a lot of players choose to pay a dollar a month rather than fill out surveys or download apps, and the entire community would have FLIPPED OUT if something like this would have happened even ONCE, letalone over and over again like it does here.
I saw a survey that said something like 50% of people got Rupert. How does TinyCo justify that 50% of people got LUCKY in a random game and the others are just plain S.O.L.? This game’s days were numbered from the start. By allowing players to BUY their way through the game, it seems unfair to everyone else, and blatantly obvious that this game is just another money-grab attempt that was fun at the start–I even donated $5 because the questlines were funny–but quickly grows stale and repetitive to the point where “playing” becomes A CHORE.
So, pan2ram, enjoy your harpoons, but know that they’re less valuable than the pesticides that were taken from you because the devs realized people were progressing faster than they wanted, so they throttled things back to make more money.

Thank you for your take on things. I can understand where you feel upset. But let’s focus on correcting the issue vs turning on one another, K? Do me a favor and express your thoughts to TinyCo via your in game menu, help & settings, and contact them. Let them know your thoughts on the change out, but ALSO let them know how YOU feel they could improve the situation or have done it better.
They do listen, they do make changes, and it helps to not just shout (venting is fine…we get it), what helps the most is to create change. Tell them WHY it is wrong and HOW to fix it. They are really all about community. Yes, they still do have to make money, but for the most part they do offer a lot for free and then options to invest.

I treated myself to Nathan, I have very fond memories of watching him in Two Guys, a Girl and a pizza place (yes, going that far back!) and of course, Buffy – So I had to treat myself! I’ve now decided that I’m just going to go all out with the characters for this update and try to get them all.
Is anyone else a little bit gutted this update didn’t come with Ryan Reynolds that’s chasing after Peter? I love that episode – ‘tickle fight!’

Does anyone know the number of harpoons needed for each level of demon stewie yet? Figured would hoard harpoons before starting to be able to get Chris’s Bike since you have to beat him 9 times within 4 days.

5, 8, 11, 15, 20 (once you hit 20 it’ll be 25 each time) Running through it for a full streak will earn you the film set.

My Sir Lancewort’s Board Game store has a latcher on it and the game freezes up zoomed in on the gun after I try to remove it. Force closing the app puts me back with a fully charged gun and the latcher’s still there, Felicia’s stuck in there in the meantime, what to do 😦

Best thing you can do is wait until it jumps to another building (8hrs)…that’s your fastest method. After that your next step is to contact TinyCo…

I was able to get it to work by signing out of my Android device, then DLing and signing into one of our office iPads. Only thing I’m scare of is if I’m tainted with logging into an iOS device, can I still get Joe’s outfit which was teased earlier for Android users?

Just as an FYI I sent in a ticket for this issue and the response was that they are working on a solution but in the mean time latcher stewie will jump every 2 hours instead of 8. So worst case it is a 2 hour wait instead of 8.

I’d be surprised if it didn’t have something to do with the checkmark animation kicking off in the middle of the zap gun animation. But that’s none of my business (sips tea).

Nope, the only adjustment TinyCo made to the Minions is to fix their animation, not all of them were showing the animation.

This isn’t 100% true actually, they were briefly changed to remove their inking animation and they only stayed in their spot for about half a second after tapping. However, TinyCo very quickly changed this and reverted them back to their normal animation and “stickiness” 🙂

It was a glitch. They had not intended on slowing them or stopping them from inking. 😉
They even relayed all our methods of helping to corral the Minions on their FB page. They liked it. Lol

Wish I’d known they were going to make pesticides defunct as I had over 50+ of each (was waiting for Stewie to reset today rather than waste them on the x29 top level).
Fair enough that you can trade them in – but trading 10 pesticides for 3 harpoons (and I only ever got 3) is a poor deal. Especially when you consider that the new Stewie needs 5 harpoons, of any kind, to defeat him at Level 1. Whereas you only needed 1 pesticide to defeat him the first time. So I assume you will need WAY more harpoons to defeat Stewie at his top level, yes?
At least I now have a lot of characters that can earn harpoons (even Seamus) so hopefully I can get the max level and swag that goes with it. Plus, hopefully I’ll have enough time/resources to take him down nine times for the next vehicle too.
My main concern is all the items need for Quagmire – as most of them are from either bombing minions (and I have very few bombs when I put everyone on harpoon duty) and from characters that can also get me harpoons. THE CHOICE IS TOO MUCH! Ha ha.

Latcher stewie crashes my game when I try to zap him off sir lanceawarts with Felicia inside. Her task for world of wizardy is done and there is a yellow check mark on the building…,…help!
Other latcher stewies are Zapping like normal

I contacted them about the same issue yesterday (but different building) and got back a response about them reducing the zap gun charge time and the time Stewie spent latched to a building, but I haven’t seen those changes in game, yet.
I’m also still seeing the Blobulous costume locked in the characters menu even though Chris is currently wearing it and doing quests. No response on that one, yet

I have killed a lot of minions stewies ALOT and still only 1 has dropped yet the calculator or lotions are dropping almost all of the times from latches stewie weird

150 minions and 2 times Quagmire did the 6 horu mission and not 1 magazine. I am glad they aren’t dropping every other time, but now it’s getting ridiculous.

So I have 405 clams. I’m debating wether or not to buy Nathan. I was trying to earn enough for Bryan Cranston but may just have to break down and buy clams to get them both. What do you think? I know I’ll get 100 back if I have both of them plus George Takei so that factors in as well. Oh and I forgot to wish Bunny happy birthday yesterday.

Lol. Sorry. Clam spending to me IS a personal choice. Especially on the higher ticket items. I got them mainly for the silly lines they say and the tasks that crack me up. Bryan helped with Giant Stewie…Nathan looks to help with Demon. So it is a matter of what YOU want in the game. Do YOU need the extra Blam! the harpoons will bring. Will YOU be happy AFTER the event with the purchase. 😉

I know I was just giving you a hard time. I was a big firefly fan and I have the clams so it would be nice to have him running around after comic con. The harpoons would help but I’m already over 100k so I don’t need the blam at this point. I think I’ll get him and then decided if I want to pony up the money to get the other 350 clams I’ll need for Bryan Cranston. I’ve loved him since he was Jerry’s dentist on Seinfeld and Malcolm’s dad and of course Heisenberg. Well guess I just decided.

Bryan Cranston at first was a great investment because of his pesticides drop but his harpoon drop did not transfer over well at all. But I’m still happy I bought him.

My game just froze. Well my ray gun froze. It’s zoomed in on the gun & everything behind it is still moving. The gun didn’t fire on the stewies & it’s stuck in mid air

Shooting blanks literally(android) the lance-a-lot building(the castle looking one from this event) has a character ready to be checked but it’s darkened by a latcher stewie, and when I go to shoot my laser gun and it doesn’t kill or even shoot the lever/gauge it just empties and gets stuck on the screen(the game doesn’t freeze but the gun animation itself gets stuck) also minion stewies are still not dropping anything besides the norm.

Let TinyCo know you have an issue like this. Others are reporting the same thing happening. They need to know who is impacted so they can look into the individual games and find out why.

Ok so I am at the point where I am able to use up pesticides OR start the Demon Stewie task. What’s more valuable? Pesticides or Harpoons? I mean which earns more blam per item? Gonna wait for a reply before I act 🙂

135 is base on Demon. It goes to 30X at the top instead of 25X. You can trade the Pesticides for Harpoons to get a kick start. Since Harpoons are worth more…the exchange rate will be less than the amount of Pesticides you have.

Ok, I’ll go for harpoons 🙂 still won’t be using them until the last minute for maximum impact, I’ll use a few to get through the tasks, but that’s it.

I’m too lazy to do the actual math on this, but are we sure harpoons are worth more? Sure, the payout is more, but it takes more of them to get it. Seems like you get screwed quite a bit on the exchange. I got 1/3 as many harpoons as I had pesticides on the conversion, but it’s nowhere near 3 times the payout.

The Blam! payout is 135 vs 100. So in the long run you earn more per Defeat. The conversion rate…not so sure on whether I am OK with it. Please let TinyCo know your thoughts on it via your game menu.

I know lots of characters can get harpoons, but you seem to need 5 for just the first rung of the streak. I definitely think I will ignore Demon Stewie until I have lots of harpoons to avoid any chance of missing the bike. Even if that means slowing down on the blam gathering for a couple of days (just 5k more for GK!)

i wasn’t able to play this morning as my game couldn’t connect to the server (perhaps this is because of the update) but i was waiting for giant stewie’s timer to reset so i can complete Blobulous Pt 3.
so my questions are — will i be able to complete this quest line with demon stewie? if not, is giant stewie coming back? if not, how do i move from there?
anyone have the same issue as I do? help!

You have to run a streak from 1X to 30X. As the harpoon styles vary, I do not know how many of each you will need.
1X 5
3X 8
8X 11
15X 15
30X 20
Extra Hits 25

While you may not need all of one type, to be guaranteed you would need 59 of all three types, as a just in case you get the same version every time during your streak. Which is what I’m waiting to do. I just hope I can still do the vehicle quest after waiting a couple days to build up weapons for Demon Stewie.

So I’m steaming ahead and now part 3 of the Demon Child quest wants Red Hot to use her Analyze Mutant DNA action. Did they do away with the need to have the AskJeeves.com building, or is that about to come out? Because I checked all the shopping cart sections carefully, and there is no building. Lois is in the middle of a longer task that won’t end until tomorrow, so I can’t just check through her, and it’s just about bedtime for me. 🙂

This sucks! I had more then 100 pesticides all together to reach higher streak levels. Worth about 10,000 Blam! Now I have 30 Harpoons. Yeah, great deal, especially because they have less worth…

Can we at least be honest and say that BC’s 2 harpoons per 4 hours is isn’t actually a ‘decent amount.’ It’s the same as Red Hot or Captain Hammered, just neither of those cost 500 clams.
BC should have cost no more than the 250 clams they are charging for NF.

Imagine if you bought him the day BEFORE they did this. How can you win at a game, where the rules constantly change? That’s cheating your customers.

This is the risk anyone runs into when making a premium purchase. This game from day one has been full of changes, for the most part GOOD changes. The question you need to ask with any purchase you make is will it be worth it AFTER the event is over. Not just during. Because regardless how they payout in the event…what is their worth to YOU after all is said and done. Some people want them just for the sheer fun of having them. The helping tasks were a bonus. Look at Consuela…she is a high priced premium…but doesn’t help much…it is just…HER. So people buy her just to have her.
Games NEED to change. Growing up a gamer if all the games I played did not change, get harder, increase levels, etc…as the game progressed I would have been bored out of my mind. This is not a simplistic game. The element of surprise has been there from day one. It is all a matter if the game suits YOU and your gaming style. It may not be for everyone.

Not 100 percent happy as I was.just working up to a.25x bonus which I only needed 2 more.pestides.for on.red and had 40 oj and.40 greens remaining now.I.have just 20 harpoons in total…. Hmmm anyway for this 30x bonus I.guess.its.wisr to.stock up.those.harpoons until we.have enough of each to.guarantee. That streak but the question.is.how many do we.need.of each to be safe to hit that marker??? Like last time for the challenge event I.stocked.up before defearing stewie for.the fordt time.so.when the car challeneg cones.in I can defeat him.enough times.within the.time.given.easy peasy

That is impossible to say as we do not know what ones will be asked for. To cover ANY possibility, 59 of each for a complete streak. Then you will have the amounts needed for each level requirement, even if it is the same color all the way through.
