Hey there you Android Playing Clammers. Your patience has paid off and we now have the Exclusive Rollo-Cop Joe in our silly lil games.
So here is the Exclusive Character Skin you all have been waiting for. WOOHOO!! So now to jump into the detail of this awesome new skin.
I PLAY ON BOTH PLATFORMS, CAN I GET HIM?
For those of you who play on multiple platforms, yes you can switch to your Android device to get him…however…keep in mind that similar with Golden Suit Peter, he will ONLY work while you are in your Android game. So make sure you are playing on the proper platform to complete all you need to get him and then to put him in action.
This means that you need to go to an Android device, start his questline, then can return to an iOS device to finish after Part 1 is done and the option in Part 2 to start collecting on his costume begins.
WHEN DOES HE UNLOCK?
You can start building his costume once you trigger the Rollo Cop Part 1 quest. Joe will have a ! above him. Tap on it to launch the dialog and start it off. Joe will need to Roll in Geek Trash for 6 hours.
You will need to have completed Demon Child Part 1 in order to trigger Joe’s dialog to start the process of unlocking his outfit.
WHAT DO I NEED FOR HIS COSTUME? WHERE DO I GET ITEMS?
10 Guns (RARE) – Ron Perlman Shop For Tough Guy Bandanas, Joe Do Target Practice, Jerome Be a Superior Athlete.
10 Heavy Tires (RARE) – Chris Swim in Geek Trash, Patrick Stewart Make it Sew
5 Microchips (EXTRA RARE) – Bonnie Abuse Jacuzzi Jets, Felicia Day Play Freeze Tag

There you have it. Another fun new character added into the Android Players games for a fun Quahog Comic Con Event.
(Side note: Bryan also got a bit more dialog. We will have more info later.)

Hi bunny…im somewhat new so I dont have district 6 and of course then the hospital…as long as I unlock rollocop by the end of the event do I keep him or do I have to progress threw part 2 with the surgeries…thanks

As long as all the pieces are collected, his costume is built, and he is out and about using tasks in your game…he is yours to keep. The questline…no worries.

I’m and IOS player and I although I think the Joe skin looks great, I have no gripe with android getting it as an exclusive after they had to wait a week to start the Comic Con event. I think it’s nice that TinyCo did something to show they care even although the upgrade release dates were outwith their control. I also think it’s a smart move to release it later in the event when android players will have some characters free to work on the unlock rather than early on when they were playing catch up unlocking other characters & skins.
I think some are missing the point that Bunny has made over and over and that is that TinyCo couldn’t not do anything about the release dates, as a fledging developer they are at the mercy of the various app stores. They could either agree to Apples demand for an early release or not, if they chose not to play ball we IOS players might not have been playing this event at all. As TinyCo and their games grow I am sure they won’t need to dance to bigger companies tunes, but until then I for one think we should give these guys some breathing space.
In between all the bad feeling and annoyance over a skin, I feel TinyCo are not getting the credit they are due for creating the best event I have ever taken part in. We have had week after week of brilliant content and although their have been hiccups and glitches along the way they have tackled and fixed these ASAP, and gave us a bunch of free clams to boot.
I understand the completists disappointment at not having the Joe Skin if they have no access to android, but maybe now IOS and ANDROID both have an exclusive skin, Gold Suit Peter & Rollocop respectively, if enough of us tell TinyCo we are happy to have these made non-exclusive they will release them and maybe then we will all be happy, esoecially our kindle pals who have neither.
But please fellow addicts don’t let this overshadow the last weeks of the event, after all we want TinyCo to treat us to more of this madness, too many complaints and they might think it’s just not worth the hassle. If you want to vent, send it to the App Store bosses as it is they not TinyCo who have all the power when it comes to fledging developers.
As for me I’m going sit and hope we will get another update full of fun tomorrow so I can fall even further behind in my real life duties.
And thanks Bunny & Alissa for your continuing commentary, with so much packed into this event, and another running on the game that shall not be named here, I honestly don’t know how you have done it.

Well said. I’d also add that i wouldnt at all be surpised if rollerjoe appears on ios at some point for clams (and respectively gold suit peter for android). EA does this all the time, releasing something as a one time only and then a year later they offer it for a premium. Tinyco does want to make money and its a common practice to make us want something so badly because others already have it we will pay anything to get it when it becomes available again. It’s a little frustrating that its not available now but it is only one character. As you said, the rest of the event has been very well done (and more than redeems tinyco for the king butt debacle).
That said, i am hoping tonight bring something new for the rest of us for the last week besides the fifth vehicle. I just need two mags for quagmire and ive lost interest in zapping or harpooning stewie at this point. Im stockpiling bombs, batteries, and harpoons just in case

Well said! And definitely thanks to everyone here on addicts for everything they do! I’m a completionist that isn’t that torn up about everything because I have Pattick Stewart, George Takei, Stan Lee, Felicia Day, more premium characters, super hero outfits for Lois, a Peter, Chris, And Quagmire, plus a whole bunch do new stuff both premium and freemium. This event has been amazing. The quest lines have been fun. The mini challenges have been fun. And when things go wonky Addicts and TinyCo are there getting information out and fixing it. I’m already satisfied with what I have this event and the event isn’t even over.

i downloaded bluestacks, signed in, it was going so slow i couldn’t even start anything on there, but when i returned to my iPad, joe had a ! above his head and I was able to start the quest for rollo cop joe – here’s hoping!

Happy to now get the Joe skin, but shame that the old Android vs IOS is starting up again? It is a game after all, so lets all lighten up and enjoy it, and yes there are tasks to get Joe, but that has been the point of all the skins, so why do people think it would have been different, I work full time, so like most have limited time playing, and maybe it could have been easier to get or brought to the game earlier. The enjoyment of getting the skin us that it has been won, that is why it is called a game. So lets just relax and play the game, it is intended to be fun. 🙂

You still should as Joe triggers the quest and as soon as he triggers Part 2, you can collect parts. You just won’t be able to progress in the questline itself.

I know this is not the correct place to write this but who got. 125 clams deducted from their clams when they got the 25 clams from the quahog fab 4 i just needed one more clam for buzz or nathan and i have tried contacted tinyCo anything else I can do?

Awesome !! Logged into my android tablet and started rolo joe quest line. My other characters already started working towards earning items and joe hasn’t finished part 1 yet. Gonna stay on my tablet until confirmation that I can head back over to my iPhone. My tablet is old and slow.

I’m disappointed, but that’s just how it goes, I guess. I have no access to Android devices, mine or anyone else’s, so the only way to get him is the “h” word, which I won’t do. I just wish they could have made the exclusive less awesome than this. Something I could take or leave, like Gold Suit Peter. But I guess no one’s Quahog is 100% complete.

Oh man! You would think Addicts was behind making all these decisions. I gotta admit I wish I had him. But, I’m not going to beat a crippled horse about it. Lol. I don’t like it when games offer deals for certain devices in general though. I’ve had my fair share of xbox vrs ps3 wars. But, it is what it is. =) congrats to everyone that got him in your game! He really does seem cool. =)

This suxs gold suit peter is dull, robo-joe is the coolest skin ever, well maybe second to hot lewis 😉 there is no reason why both platforms can not be given the chance to catch up with each other on missing items.

I know it’s not the right place but George Takei has a new action “sitting in the Captain’s Chair”. And he’s in Shatner’s Enterprise chair doing the overacting of Shatner! So happy they are adding outside actions and animations!!

I don’t want to argue the whole ‘IOS vs Android’ deal, but i play on IOS, and we recieved a skin for PETER who already gets a ton of skins as it is, and the skin doesn’t even look that cool, however Android players get a really awesome skin for a character who only has one other skin? This seems a bit unfair, and I’m not really very happy about it.

I get what your saying, but gold suit Peter was the very first skin offered. The rest were not even in play or came much later. This one may become that way too. Compare it to what it was when released…Not its worth today. Android players had same response then that you do now with Joe.
I get you may want it, but you can still have it by borrowing a fellow friends android device if they have one.
All we are saying is it’s pointless to argue over it. Just as Clam offered items, if you want it…there are ways.

To all the people complaining. Get over it, not like it was a surprise. Kindle users are the only one getting messed over. But maybe not really, having the game is better than having a skin you’ll never use again? Also, meg doesn’t complain this much 😉

Haha, kind of funny. I’m a iOS user, wanted joe. So I rushed him to get him. Started his tasks. Then went back to iOS. He was oddly there. His task completed and he vanish from the game. I recommended… Don’t unlock him on two devices until they run a fix or change him to regular Joe before returning to your device. Dang addicts we are.

They say he relays over, but not sure to what point as we’re still testing it out. Gold Suit Peter disappears when transferred. To be cautious…I’d stick with Android for now.

According to a Facebook fan group, you can use an app on a computer called bluestacks which simulates phone apps android style
Not been able to give it a go yet but I’m gonna try it tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Be careful with Bluestacks as it is still in a BETA version and may not work with all PCs/MAC and also may be altered in the game appearance itself. Also, there is not really a tech support for it outside going through them to help with issues as they are modifying app games made for mobile type devices to make them playable on desktops.
Cool if it works, but be prepared for some issues too.

I know what Wiki says. I get what your saying. The reason I say BETA is this…its an altered version of the game that may give players a different experience. A BETA experience. So my wording is off, yes. Just want people to understand it is NOT the same play as a device. That being said… There are still some aspects of it however they are still testing. Those parts are still the BETA version. I will check again this weekend to see if those are done. If so, then I’ll stop saying it’s still being tested. 🙂

I use this program (not for gaming but for testing android apps) and it has actually become a very steady platform now… More stable than TSTO these days lol
As with any emulator, it is of course slower than running natively since you are running another layer.
It left beta in June and I get good support. There are always aspects of any software that are being tested (Microsoft OS’s are updated daily!), so you can’t hold that against them. Hey, any company that Marc Andreesen, the god of the web, invests in, I’m a fan of 🙂

Bluestacks is okay. A lot of problems due to its a emulator. But give it a true. Mac users, in order to put family guy on Mac bluestacks. You’ll need sweet pea program to install any 3rd party apps.

As an iPhone user, I’m gonna be pretty mad at TinyCo if the fith vehicle is this dudes car. Kinda just a slap in the face. I hope Bonnie gets a comicon skin, she has the same bomb job as the others with skins.

Bunny, Alissa and crew; though would probably start bouncing their heads off the walls. Everyone would come on yelling about the same thing. Without reading any other prior posts that say the same thing. They put a lot of time and money in this site. Due them the favor and read prior posts. So they can answer the same question once and reply. Show the love to them!
Overall This has been a good event. 1000% better than the last. Decorations and buildings everywhere. Plenty of days for you to win all items. Most have already.

What’s this about making people answer a question? I didn’t ask a question, I made a statement. I’m also in no way whatsoever yelling at the good folks who run this site, I said I’d be mad at TinyCo, not the Addicts staff. And this has been a good event, I’m pleasantly surprised with how eventful it’s been.
Also, Velvet, as far as why I would feel jipped if it were his vehicle, Robocop is an Android exclusive skin, and if his vehicle showed up in iPhone and Kindle too it would feel out of place and sloppy as compared to a vehicle belonging to a “superhero” skin found within my game. Long story short, it would break the immersion, and as I’m a bit of a game immersion junkie in all things, it would just irk me every time I see a vehicle for which I have no skin. Personal preference. I don’t wanna argue about it, I just wanted to post my opinion.

OK this is the first I’m hearing this officially (yes, I count you as official!)
This means that my purchase of 2 large blam trucks was purposfully undercut by Tinyco.
I’m happy to believe that it was not their intention but it was the effect. I bought the trucks under the assumption that I would need them to reach 100,000 blam, based on the total moon idol I got on the last event. if after they had my clams, they jiggered with the blam rates, making my purchase worthless thats pretty low. And I can tell you the purchase was worthless: I’m sitting on 200,000′ and the two trucks will only earn around 36,000 over the life of the event.

Actually, we said from the beginning to not worry about Blam! Take it slow. Don’t buy unnecessary items. Wait. More options will come. We also pointed out they did exactly same in Kingdom…increase earning potential toward end.
Items will always be there to buy for those wanting the quick route or just want more random items. It is personal choice of player to spend Clams on what you want.
I said from start I thought those trucks and sommelier were useless as many other ways to earn. We try to help all we can. They did same this time as before.

So I take it me waiting a week to play this update wasn’t enough work for tinyco now I have to stop everybody who is working on something else to put them on getting items for rolocop and even then I still might not get him before the event ends. Dick move tinyco very dick move.
Anybody else think this costume should automatically be in their inventory and not have to work to unlock him how is it a free gift if I might have to use clams to finish him up before the event ends?

Well, yes and no.
I do see your point and was disappointed to have to unlock Joe as well. However, then I got to see it in a way that TinyCo gives Androids another exclusive character to earn (with somewhat reasonable requirements).
There are still 10 days left and many players have mostly completed the event, anyway.
I was only left working on unlocking Quagmire’s skin with the last 5 or so Porno Mags missing. Knowing I’d earn 25 clams for completing the Fabulous Four character set I went ahead and completed the skin for 20 clams and still earned 5.
Now all characters can work towards unlocking Joe, as I don’t see any real puprpose in continuing to defeat Stewie with harpoons. Bombing minions also seems pointless now. I’ve still got loads of Blam to spend on items in case there’s some end-of-event sale coming.
Therefore, the Joe skin gives me something to look forward to for the next week.
But again, I also fully understand your frustration, particularly when you’re still unlocking other characters/skins and see your remaining time running down.

I said only for android players, and it seems fair since they got that week less to get the prizes, it sounds fair, at the end of the day all players would have the exact same number of days played, if you give one thing to one system you give it to the other as well, it’s a concept that Tiny Co, doesn’t understand it’s not even that difficult, and now all players from all devices will be missing one skin (or whatever it was they gave to iOS and not Android) because according to Tiny Co their device is not good enough to deserve it 🙂 go figure

But there again you would get cries of unfair as all it would take is an iOS or Kindle player logging in on an Android device and they get free clams too or one more week. I think there is no way possible ever of giving something exclusive without someone complaining “unfair”.

for the clams maybe (depending on the number, but having difficulties and glitches is understandable, and should be done whenever it happens, Hay Day does it for example, whatever system that gets a glitch gets diamonds) but not the days, since at the end of the day if an iOS player played for 90 days, the android one gets to play 90 days too, it’s not really extending if you think about it, it’s recovering. that way there wouldn’t be complaining, and all skins and items get offered for all devices too, since it’s stuff everybody wants, it’s not really that difficult, I can’t believe Tiny Co didn’t come up with such an easy logic way to solve it

This was not just a TinyCo thing. That is what I do not think people are getting. There was a LOT more involved. There always is when an exclusive is brought in. It has to do with the App Market too and their demands. Too much info, details, and other things that are beyond a simple explanation. All it comes down to is there is a bigger picture that is not being seen and from what TinyCo had as options, this was the best one to go with. It may not seem that way to you, but it was in my mind.

Why punish iphone players that had NOTHING to do with the android issue?, this is all on the game developers, not the players, if anything they should have offered free clams to the android people since THEY FAILED to deliver a quality product.
I’m very upset at this, punishing certain players is not only unfair it’s unprofessional.
I feel grossed, angry and dissapointed all at once, I guess I should give props to the company since accomplishing such a task is a rarity.

I do not know why you feel punished. It was a combination of many things. iOS got an exclusive outfit, now Android did. They have announced this since the launch of Comic Con all over that this was coming, so it is not like a surprise.
It is crossable, so if you want it so badly…just borrow an Android device from someone and open up the costume. Done.

I had no idea they had punished android players as well, but 2 wrongs don’t make a right, and them announcing it at comic con has nothing to do with it, who decides which system is worthy of what character?, it’s completely unfair since all players should have the same opportunity to get all the the skins without having to switch between 2 devices or at least I don’t remember that condicion specified the moment I downloaded the game. I know it’s “free” sort of say, but as a customer that has purchased clams in the past (which makes me a paying customer) I’m not recieving the treatment or respect I deserve (no player from whatever system is tbh)
I get that this has nothing to do with you as a person and my rage is not directed to you but to the awful behavior the developers are showing, they are for sure being unethical with their customers who at the end of the day are the only reason they have a company in the first place

I can understand venting but I think there is a point it goes too far. If an exclusive item is offered, someone will ALWAYS complain. There is no way to make anyone happy. I understand people want everything exactly the same, but that will never happen. Not in this game, not in any game. Not in any Movie, CD, Grocery Store, etc. There will ALWAYS be an exclusive item to “pull customers”. No matter the reasoning or contractual obligations behind it, it is there.
How many times does a movie or CD come out with “extras” offered only by Target or Walmart? It has nothing to do with the movie. Make sense?

I understand what you’re saying, but it’s not the same, FAIRNESS is what would make everybody happy, since we’re talking about a silly game, not something of the scale you mentioned,
Making ALL your customers happy is the goal every company has, what makes Tiny Co any different? nothing that’s the answer. And contractual obligations? for a situation like this one? yes it is probably the most important thing since it’s what sets the rules of the “game”, the only thing that protects the user from being treated unfairly, and that is how the world works. And the kindle situation? truly shamefull

I know its not against us. Just trying to get people to understand “Exclusive” is not just TinyCo involved. If anyone had to deal with pushing an app through ALL the markets and what it takes to get all those approvals and what those Markets want in return…then maybe it could be understood more why Exclusives are offered. I can tell you it is NOT to push away players or upset them. Sometimes you have to make a lil sacrifice here and there to gain a LOT in return for your players. Thus is the life of corporations and businesses. You may not think this goes on much, but I can guarantee you ALL game houses deal with stuff like this.

They are not attacks. Sorry you view them as such. They are being point specific to the post earlier wrote on understanding the bigger picture in any scheme of life. Tunnel vision is natural. We all have it at one point or another. It comes down to viewing a situation with our own eyes and not seeing anyone else’s side. It comes from lack of knowledge (not intentional), not being exposed to other points of view those who have worked behind scenes vs those just see the finished product, etc.
Perfect scenario of tunnel vision… reality Tv records weeks and at times months of action to make one hour clip. So the viewers have a “tunnel vision” on what really happened as they only got the edited parts.
I think you are taking your anger and misreading what I’m saying. Or reading it with an upset mind which is making you assume responses are attacks. They’re not.
As for another readers response, they are allowed a voice too. Everyone is allowed an opinion.

In this world. Everyone feels entitled to have everything and anything they want. I want a time machine, I can’t stomp my feet because I can’t get it. Just move along and deal with disappointments and achievements for anything you do. I remember growing up playing Super Mario Bros and so many other nes games. Once you lost all your lives, no matter how far you were. You started over. No saving games, no start we’re you left off, and you felt disappointed and let down. But quickly got over it by being rational and starting over. Didn’t go attacking the makers, nes magazine or the power company if you lost power.

Yes kids today think there awesome at game with all there saved progress games. Maybe things should go back old school.. No save progress. I miss the, good ole days, when everyone didn’t get trophies. Drank out of hoses,never pampered like people are today and failed often.

If you go to Android and play til Part 2 where you start to build his costume on Android…you should then be able to switch back to iOS to continue it. Please let us know if you see different.

I would guess that iOS will get this as well and Android is simply getting a jump on it. It would seem a tad unfair to remove the possibility entirely.
Although if this functions like Golden Suit Peter anyone with iOS should load the game onto a friend’s Android device now and start doing the tasks over there and it will more than likely transfer back to your iOS device when you complete the costume.

Every time I think of starting a blog to support a game I look here and I am reminded why I don’t. You and Alissa have the patience of a saint! I get that people like to vent their frustration but it is what it is… a game. I see Android users getting angry that they had a week less to complete the event and iOs users getting angry that they don’t have Rollocop Joe. I thought the whole point of that trade off was to keep things fair?

The same thing happened to me with Golden Peter. I just tried it with Joe… logged in on android and started the quest… then switched to Iphone and the task was still going and the characters can earn drop items for Joe… All you have to do is log on by android to start it and that’s it…

I’ve mentioned this a few times, must have slipped through the cracks. Ever since the ‘glitch’ that allowed Android players to play the event during the first week (if you loaded the event on your iOS first), Golden Suit Peter was fully available on Android devices. I can send screenshots if you require hard scientific proof, but yeah, GS Peter can do tasks AND he shows up on my collection screen and he is part of my costume ‘count’ in Al Harrington’s.
Also, his golden hot tub carries over as well.

Yes, I have both systems also and I can vouch for that too. What I am not sure is if you could just start the quest in iOs and continue it in Android. Back when I unlocked Golden Suit Peter, you couldn’t give him new orders to continue the quests.
I can give him tasks in both systems now.
