Well, we’ve all made it through another “work week” (kinda, sorta, almost) and the weekend looms large up ahead. All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game (What I’m supposed to bomb little kid minions?!) and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun new way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.

I wanted to take a moment to say Thank You! You guys were seriously amazing last week and were so patient with us while Bunny and I were traveling and visiting with TinyCo! Thank you for being an AMAZING community here at FGA, you guys seriously rock!

Family Guy Addicts 
Two things:
1 – Francis Griffen is just being used as an example here, but why create a questline for a new character that involves having to level them up 3 levels in order to get past the firs or second part. Francis is at level 3 right now.. in order to move ahead in the quest line I have to get him to level SIX!!! One level up is fine…but 3 additional levels…that is kinda crazy!
2 – is anyone else finding that when they stink bomb the kids, they are not ALL droppong something? Is this a glich or do some not drop anything at all (not even coins)?

i have a question but i don’t know where i should post it but is anyone having trouble leveling up francis griffin? he seems to be stuck at level 3 no matter how many tasks i send him out to do. the bar does not increase

This is something we hear from many players. The higher level they go, the more required to increase to the next Level. The lil bar seems to take FOREVER to fill up, no worries though…it is most definitely filling. Just an illusion it is not. 🙂

WTH! So I got Francis Griffen, and there’s no story dialog? Yeah, it’s cool that he’s another chance to get traps, but I like quests too.
Also, what do I have to do to triggers Lois’ quest? Did I mess up by building the asylum before she asked? Or does GB Joe have to be done first? I just made him, & he’s getting his first terror dog now.

You complain now about saving up stink bombs to get 150 kids, but i have a feeling the stay puft marshmallow man will arrive as this events demon stewie. Remember having to save up 50 of each harpoon in just to cover your chance to hit the 25x bonus streak before the timer ran out? THAT was frustrating

Ok, so everything I read said that the kiddies appeared from the portal, well in the mist of spending way too many clams (I have not spent a dime on the game, they were all earned) I find out that the kiddies appeared on the road just like the minions did from the comicon event. WISH I KNEW THAT BEFORE HAND.
Anyway still mad that i had to 170 clams to clear away that damn kiddies

WTH… I have next to no chance of getting Mr Weed. I have about 750 vials and saving for GB Joe which is 1500. I can’t see how I am going to get 17500 in the time left unless I stop building and stop brewing… bet Connie and Stewie skins are gonna cost too… grrrrrr

WTH!! I only have 9 hours to go for the portal quest with still 59 to go. went to get all my “stink bomber” people out, and not one, not even one gave me a bomb. Really? Ugh I’m frustrated with this one, I’ve never not gotten something from a timed event and it’s looking like I won’t get this one. Only 2 more 4 hour task chances to go, with only getting 2-3 bombs per tasks (except this one) and only hitting no more then 3-5 kids each bombs. Looks very unlikely : (.

It’s too easy to accidentally spend clams. Was saving up for Cleveland and accidentally tapped a building next tithe one I wanted and spent 100 clams. There should be a ‘are you sure? This will cost X clams’ so you know whats premium

WTH??? or WHERE THE HELL have all the Terror Dogs gone??? Now that I have GB Joe (46 hrs is it took, got him Freemium) I have just 1 dog for the 2 GB’s with this task. Portal only release 1 at a time. I also have done the 150 bombs on the little brats and got my Portal. Did that playing every 2 hrs. Now the bombs tasks are 1 bomb only per 4 people working on them. WTH??? Anyways have a Wonderful Sat. nite. And a Blessed Sunday.

wth’s up with fixing the zoom that broke … uhm.. cant even remember how many updates ago… ?
Now i am using my older device .. a One-X (4.2.2 , Sense 5.0 )
Because the zoom is not zooming out (or in) all the way on my One-m8 (4.4.3, Sense 6.0) and that just wont do for those pesky kids…
Actually i am feeling sorry for all that don’t have the option to use a properly zooming device and are having to deal with the trick or treatsters without being able to zoom out ..
but enough bitching …

anyone on Frightlevel 7 can tell me what “Get extra spirit vials when you clear a certain lurking haunt…” is doing nice to earn more vials? How much more is it?
I got so many bones, eyes, talons and corns to brew stuff to reach level 7 (1k fright points left), but I don’t know if it is worth to spend the vials for it or to wait till I get to level 7 in a few days. Question is if having level 7 earlier getting me the advantage of earning more vials so that it would be worth it.
I hope to get enough vials to get Mr. Weed without spending Clams on “vial machines”. Decorations that are useless after the event. 😦
This is my wth, because it is still like a lucky shot to decide ;o

Just play it at a pace that is suitable for YOU. No need to hurry through. Mr Weed was intended to be the last prize. You do not HAVE to get him right now. There will be more options to earn vials coming. There always is. 😉

1. 2d remainining still get 11 kids, WTH?! (decreased objective from 200 to 150 has no effect for me)
2. Bomb drop rate are awful like epic items(I’ve sent Brian, Meg, Bonnie, Mort only get 1 bomb) WTH?!
3. Latchers still trapping my event-related building, unlike Comic-con, WTH?!

5. Have to frequently check my game because of banshee and terror dog items, WTH?!
6. As frequent and freemium player, I hate this event gameplay, drop rate, and bonus, I think this event makes freemium player get frustrated, unlike comic-con
I’ve played TQFS from last week of King Butt event and never felt disappointment like this before. Its okay when I cant get all King Butt event item because of I started the game late, but this event I’ve played frequently and started from beginning, I cant get all event gifts because of awful bomb drop rate and the children spread randomly in my town?!! If there is no Mr. Weed and Francis to unlock, I decided to uninstall this game.

Everyone’s complaining about the minions, and rightfully so, but we’ve forgotten some of the What the Hells from earlier in the week.
I was one of the many people who couldn’t get Ghostbuster Quagmire because the game had decided to completely stop giving me colander helmets.
But it had a happy ending. I went to the Ghostbuster Quagmire costume in Al Harrington’s, and noticed that the list of tasks/buildings which were potential sources of colander helmets didn’t show latchers in it at all anymore! From within the game, I reported this symptom to TinyCo, and in less than an hour, it was fixed, and I was able to get colander helmets and complete Ghostbuster Quagmire. Hopefully everyone else was able to get the helmets and finish him as well.
I’m completely in agreement with everyone’s gripes about the minions. I don’t get why TinyCo felt the need to make them so difficult. They turn the game into a chore.
I agree with Alissa: I hate the minions in general. They are frustrating. Even the ComicCon minions were frustrating. Even on a modern tablet, they slow the game down horribly. I have some friends with low-end tablets, and for them, it’s a nightmare.

I didn’t get what’s her name ghost on time because I forgot that there was even a time limit, I felt like throwing my phone against a wall in anger when I found out her soul departed. Ugh I haven’t been that angry at a game since I played flappy bird!

Ok basic math:
4 characters x 8 hrs. = 12/day max
2 characters x 4 hrs. = 12/day max
Uncommon drop rate = 50%
Basic drop is 12 bombs a day.
Event = 3 days x 12 bombs = 36 bombs
Now:
200/36 = 5.6
So tinyco expects you to be hitting 6 kids every time in order to successfully complete the challenge. Average rate on minion stewies was 4-5 without effectively destoying quahog. These kids move considerably faster and cannot be paused/delayed. So in order to complete the quest without clams, the only means is to destroy quahog. Hitting them at the portal still relegates having the bombs first and the timer on release to be reset within a few hours. Most of have lives and work to attend so babysitting in 2 hour stints isn’t a great conecpt or even viable for most.
Now tinycco has breeched storyline (to repair an already destroyed quahog) thus destroying continuity. Sad, really, for a company to be so overly concerned with turning a profit that they alienate clients with mathmatical improbabilities and destruction of their own continuity. I thought they were better than that but guess I was incorrect.
As an avid player who has spent quite a small fortune for both myself and my girl to play, I am looking at yet another event of money grubbing nickle and diming. Kinda getting tired of this. I know businesses are in business to make money but where comicon was mostly fun, this evet has worn on me already. As much money as i’ve spent this year, giving some thought as to who deserves it more… Tinyco, Blizzard, Microsoft, or KingsIsle. Or just maybe one of you geniuses out there will approach comedy central about the rights to another such awesome cartoon property that could easily duplicate the success of this franchise.
Fix it or lose multiple people tinyco. The choice is yours.

Update to the math… introduction of alien adds another 3 for 2 days for a total of 6/day. This brings the total to 42 (what’s the question?).
200/42=4.8
So 5 kids per hit. A bit better but come on! And for 200 clams? Still pondering though you got my money this round only due to aliens….. well played tinyco, well played.

I think a lot of you player overlook the sole purpose of making games. Although TinyCo has a loyal fan base to satisfy, they aren’t a philanthropy. In-app purchases is how they make their money. And yes, they make the most desirable items the hardest to get so you buy clams or advertise by inviting friends to play. Ever hear of Farmville and candy crush? Lollipop hamme to get through levels that were designed to be impossible? It is all about them using social pressure to make you pay to be “cool”.
I too get frustrated and do the math but as the consumer, I have the right to just say “screw this, who am I trying to impress with mr. Weed or whatever. Yet half the time I still find a way to get them in time. I can get Francis now if I want and still don’t have Ghostbusters Joe. I got Diane with only 4 hrs left on my mistake and I only played when I could.
However, I missed peepants peter, king butt, and I refuse to buy characters like consuela, BrIan cranston, etc unless I get some value out of it.
So just do what you can and if you can’t get something without paying for it, remember you don’t have to prove anything to anyone and no one really will care besides you anyway.

getting the kids..what I did was..I had maybe two or three running around town..then I logged out of my game.I waited a while.. logged back in..didn’t have to wait long..the kids started walking down that aisle ..then BOOM they walk right into it ..took 15 to 20 out in one shot..I got a message that asked me if I was cheating ..lol

Good Friday to all just wanted to say I love bunny and Crew your website has made me a well informed super addict BUT what the hell almost a day has past and I’ve recieved 1 bomb and stunk 4 TrTs this is not fair I’ve never failed a timed quest since the game started!!!! So pissed

I was just gunna say that big bun like up until now everybody’s raved about tqfs no way tinyco is gunna dog us like this. everytime a task gets done, I don’t get a stink bomb, I’ve received 1 in 24hrs… WTH!!!! but we’ll see I’m not not gunna stop questing more stuff!!!

You guys are great, but I’m done with this game. All the new buildings and decorations with nowhere to put them. Tons of game cash with nothing to spend it on. The same few characters unlocking stuff, and now choosing between stink bombs or Ghostbuster Joe. TinyCo’s standard reponse of “Thanks for your feedback.” and they seem to ignore it (see the response in the post about more land). I’m tired of spending money just to have an awesome inventory and a sloppy looking Quahog. My gears have just grinded to a halt. I may take another look once American Dad hits, but I’ll see you in Springfield for now.

I’m sorry you’re feeling upset about it. However, I can assure you they may give you the “thanks for the feedback” but they do listen. Case in point…they’ve heard all the feedback on the Stink Bomb issue..and they’re currently working on ways to tweak it to help everyone. Should be live tonight 🙂

My beef with the game goes beyond this event. They’ve finally given me and every other completionist every indication that their game isn’t engineered for us. I’m not complaining, I’m just not their target market. I just wish they had made that obvious a couple of months and a few hundred bucks ago. No problem… they are the ones with a potential loss, not me.

I sat down at TinyCo last week and said this exact same thing. I said in Simpsons…I buy EVERYTHING. No matter how stupid it is (except the Whale…I won’t buy the whale). In this game…I don’t. Like I won’t be buying predator or alien…just my cup of tea.

is anybody experiencing a glitch with the bombs? i just collected 4 but the inventory says 0. i closed the game and restarted it now it only shows 1 bomb i lost the other three. i used the 1 bomb afterwards it says its empty and prompts me to buy or get more bombs 😦

bmine and my bf’s games were connected to both facebook and google, we’ve tried every possible way of signing in/out to one/both fb and google, still with level 1 as our saved game. I was level 49, he was 50…. this is driving me nuts!

So I’ve got the maze set up (completely throwing out my town layout in the process), but it’s basically trapping everything EXCEPT the minion children, who are running loose all over the place. I’ve given it all day to lure them and no dice. Any tips?

Take out the buildings. Use those only to help direct traffic, not create a path…if that makes sense. (See the buildings in mine). Keep it to smaller items. Close in the space as it allows them TOO much room to move and a way out.

I’ll give that a try. Wasn’t sure if I needed something more solid to use as walls, but I’ll use leaves and shrubs. Wish you could buy more than one at a time, though, like you can in TSTO, especially when it comes to small, low-cost stuff like this.

200 hundred kids was easy. .got my Zulu portal around noon time. .I’ve also noticed new amination on the monster from outer space. .the clown is also aminated but gliched ..small like the coked up giraffe once was..anyone else having this issue..hopefully Tiny Co can make the Zulu portal amination as well

Oh, that’s just great! Just got finished sending 4 characters on a stinky bomb task and got a whopping “ZERO”. I can see this particular task is going places. This is the kind of stuff that stops people from spending out of pocket. Oh well, Candy Crush may be calling me again!

I think I’m with my peers on this, 200 kids is just not possible in the three days with the way the bombs are dropped and the fact that kids are hard to lock down. I do think TC messed up for this one, and that’s probably my biggest complaint with this event so far.

Any update on strategy or another explanation on getting higher kids per stink bomb? I’m at 33 and 2 days 5 hrs left and counting… I’m 100% freemium and never expect them to change a game completely for my play style “completely”, but if there’s a way to do this in the time allotted let me know, thanks…
I’ve seen people mentioning them clamoring around the gate after restarting the game but I don’t see this happening… I’m guessing I have to clear them out first before I start getting them to spawn at the portal, anyone got any more information than that?

I agree with everyone: 200 will be impossible. I have only hit 11 at this point even though I have all 5 characters producing bombs (which only appear half the time). There are way less trick-or-treaters than there were minions, so I’m hitting 2-3 (5 once!) at a time, instead of 6-10 like I used to. AT LEAST have Ghosts drop bombs like Nerds did…
Adding a warning on the Francis tomb would also have helped. I started repairing it thinking “no warning = no time limit on that one!”. Now I’ll struggle to get that character again…
A last pre-emptive WTH: Cleveland as the fourth character? I mean, make the character premium if you want, but then don’t include it in the main quest!

WTH. For years have helped my kids try to create realistic fake vomit, yet the vomit in this game is so disgusting and realistic/horrifying, I have to look away every time in see meg coming. Today, I looked away and saw peters jack o lantern. Eeeeewwwwwwww

1. WTH, everyone has the same complaint as myself* the minions can’t be stunned and the drop rate for stink bombs is ridiculous.
2. English is not my first language and I can’t figure out if it’s “as I”, “as me” or “as myself” in my no 1 WTH. WTH!?

After Diane came and went (10 minutes too late to activate), I lost my motivation with the Halloween event. Now, I am just going through the paces and not bothering to spend any clams. TinyCo seems to have forgotten that people play these games as a distraction, and have lives outside of their devices (blasphemy!). Between the latchers and minions/treaters, this event is a poorer re-hash of ComicCon.

Very disappointed with the trick or treaters. They can phase through anything you try to funnel them with. At least let them stop in place like the mutant Stewies did if you tap on them. Very frustrating and unfair if you ask me. I don’t mind the time limit but cut us some slack. They shouldn’t be able to walk on the ocean around my buildings.

I’ll join the chorus of catcalls, hisses and boos about getting the trick or treaters. I just went through my second round of 8 hour tasks for bombs and netted TWO. Two in 16 hours. Two! Something needs to change and change quickly or there’s not going to be any way in hell of getting 200 in 3 days.

I know that you discussed the Predator upgrade issue before, but I wanted to mention that I got the new facespace AND the game said he could now roam the jungle, but when I went to put Predator on a task, that option still was not there.
I sent a message to TinyCo, but thought I would mention it here as well.
