Well, we’ve all made it through another “work week” (kinda, sorta, almost) and the weekend looms large up ahead. All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game (Are we done with these darn kids running around town yet?!) and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun new way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.

Here’s my What the Hell?! For this week:
– Witch’s Cauldron crashes. Every time my husband tries to brew Duck Stewie his game crashes…it’s like the never ending loop with no Duck in sight! What the hell?!
-And…that’s all I’ve got for the game this week…honestly no real complaints about the game this week. What the hell?! 😉
-And finally…The World Series. What the hell?! If I hear one more word about Bumgarner I’m gonna smack someone in the face. Yes, the Giants won the World Series…but they did it because of 1 pitcher. And you know what? I hope his arm falls off next year! Bochy has a history of destroying great pitchers arms by making them pitch too much in the post season (Lincecum anyone? What about Cain? Where has he been?)…BLAH. Rant over. Sad thing is…I’m not even a Royals fan…

When I started the event,in my game the train station was already repaired, but I didn’t do it, I never even knew it was a thing. There’s no Jasper? This is a really big problem… any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I don’t know where to post this, since this is the only thread I found I’ll just post it here. Forgive me :p but is there any chance that I can use Genymotion to install Family Guy instead of Bluestacks? Because bluestacks lags all the freakin time. Help please. 😦

Honestly we don’t know anything about the outside software to play the game. You can try to contact TinyCo on it if you’d like…but I know they limit greatly what can/can’t do.

Yes you can use Genymotion to play this game, well at least you could until the Christmas patch came out…WTH. Haven’t been able to play since this one dropped. I’m having a feeling it will go just like ComicCon, my game will be inaccessible until it’s over. I really wish they would optimize this game.

I’d like to see an Add Friends link similar to the one in the Simpsons Tapped Out game; none of my Facebook friends play this game and I’m reluctant to add random strangers to my Facebook account because of privacy issues (I know there’s some way you’re supposed to be able to restrict what people see and someday when I have several hours to kill, I may try to figure it out) so right now I don’t have any friends.
Otherwise, really enjoying the game, very cool to have the American Dad characters in the game.

1) TinyCo is wearing on my nerves. It seems that though Carl was working for a very short time he is no longer working and the only thing TinyCo can say is that it is not working on Samsung devices. I’ve heard this excuse before and proved them wrong that it is not just Samsung devices. Once again they tell me that the issue is with Samsung devices but it isn’t working on anyone’s Android devices including mine on samsung tablet. as I said before this is what happens when you get Apple fanboys working for your company. Ditch them TinyCo or you’ve lost another paying customer.
2) To those who say that the quest is impossible to get Klaus, I have managed to do so without spending clams. I also have Francine and Fat Lois, all without spending clams. Now that may not seem like a big gripe; however, imagine my disappointment when I received Klaus and placed him only to find that he only has two things to say. he’s barely noticeable sitting on a table and when you tap him he only has two things to say. Really TinyCo! as much money as people give you for these games and you couldn’t hire the voice actors for more than 2 sentences to quote Klaus “What’s wrong with you man.” I figured I better let everybody know ahead of time that class may not be worth your time. He is not necessary to get the 10 clams and if you don’t manage to get him, complain to TinyCo.

Hi, I’m hoping I’ll get Roger now that there is more time. Thanks for the bit if info Bunny ! I’ll need it . I’m still having issues with the game freezing and then having to restart ,very frustrating. I hope a tinyco rep reads these, I see others having problems as well.

Just make sure you report issues from your game menu that standard troubleshooting does not fix. That way if there is a specific device that is having compatibility issues, they can work on a patch for it. 🙂

My game keeps throwing me out after like a min of play. . Anyone else having this problem? I’m so pissed cuzi got that last boa 3 times now but can’t keep it when this happens 😦

So yet again (in Tinyco fashion) make a quest impossible to complete unless you got horse shoes up you know where. Again, coming from someone who plays every hour on the hour (minus sleep), has no hope in hell at completing the timed quest.
Roger is definitely a no go, it’ll be at minimum Saturday before he’s acquired, and Francine will probably be Thursday at this rate.
Tinyco really needs to go pull up that youtube video done by the company Valve on what it means to add cash shops to games, pay walls etc.. Too many people have quit this game and it’s not even a year old yet.

THANK JEEBUS (Sorry, that’s Simpsons 😦 ) that Black Friday weekend is OVER! I work retail, and we had an incident early (5am) Friday morning, that today resulted in banning a regular from our store.
On the plus side, I showed a lot of patience I usually don’t have by not ever yelling at the customer while he continued to cuss and verbally abuse me.

Still no love for the Kindle.
It hasn’t been updated and I haven’t been able to play in a few days. The update came in the middle of the Intimate Apparel Peter so I missed that. Now I’m missing Thanksgiving.
If they are going to update, either wait until after an event or release it on all platforms simultaneously.
As usual, TinyCo is not responsive to my inquiries.

I play on both Kindle, preferred, and iPhone. Last Kindle update was 11/19. iPhone updated on 11/21 and Kindle has been locked out since then. In-game messaged Tiny Co about this last Wed. and no response yet. Yes I know that they probably have been off since then but Kindle owners have missed out on Intimate Peter and Fat Lois because of this delay.

Yes I have contacted them many many times. I never get a response aside from the auto-generated “are you still having this problem?” . to which I respond and back to nothing. The last message I received was last Friday. This is sooooo annoying 😦

General complaint about something that’s happened to me twice now, I have a very large town with lots of stuff to tap. Unfortunately sometimes you hit something that requires clams and if it’s in the right spot you hit acknowledge as well very quickly and poof clams are gone. I sped up a day task for mayor west before and today I bought all the records for Steve by mistake. I have no problem collecting and unlocking things on my own I only really like to use clams for characters. I played freemium for a while when I started so I understand how valuable clams it sucks to lose them like that and when you do like to use real money it’s like dropping a five dollar bill out of your pocket. Does anyone have experience with contacting Tinyco about this do they help you out? The first time it happened I let it go as a “my bad” but I’m not impressed with losing 75 clams on Steve. I think because of the nature of the game it should have like a 3 second countdown before you can acknowledge buying something with clams so you wouldn’t buy something accidentally by rapid tapping. I don’t think this would be annoying because I don’t see someone needing to make lightening fast purchases.

If this is supposed to be a clam festival, where are the clams?
It’s ok for Carl to turn up now and again offering 2 clams, but we need more.
I would have thought that we could’ve at least got 1 or 2 clams for visiting every neighbour. I just visited my limited amount and didn’t get a single clam, where as before, I cisited them everyday and got a clam everyday.
I think to make this a proper clam festival, random amount of clams should drop every 12 hours or so.
Other than this little complaint, I am loving the game, and have unlocked both Bitch’s, as well as Steve and Hayley, now francine and roger to go when they hit.
Are we getting Klaus at any point?

Ive still got 6 pink to do lists left to get for bitch stewie and only just over a day left!!! What the hell tinyco!!! Noone will spit out the lists anymore and ive had them doing the relevant tasks since day 1!! How the hell am I meant to do this??

So… supposedly the “Official” TinyCo response I got was that because I’m on a Samsung device, that the issue is that Samsung is “reviewing the content”. Total BS and full of Fail. Samsung doesn’t review Apps that go on the Google Play Store, Duh…. they think us idiots I guess. It seems my ire was well directed as it would appear that TinyCo is full of Apple Fanboys! It doesn’t work on any Android devices or emulators, right? Funny how it does work on iOS and iOS emulators (been there done that and tested it for certain).
Directed at TinyCo whom I know read this site: BTW, this is strike 2 TinyCo. You’re one foul-up away from making my blood boil. Fantastic! It’s not that I’m against Apple… just Apple Fanboys… I digress and that’s another story for another time. Fix it Fanboys or forever be known as TinyCo… a division of Crapintosh! 😛

I’ve only had this game since the beginning of the Halloween event but is there any way to get rid of the “Get Clevelend” task without getting Cleveland? I came late to the party and 400 clams seems like a lot 😦

Is tinyco ever going to fix adding friends on ipads? I opened a ticket and they didnt back to me for two weeks and their reply was we are working on newer cases if this is an issue to contact them. Then after that it was a black hole. Im not sure why we cant add friends if u are on an ipad. I added a ton of pple with the game yet i still hae 0friends. Contacting tinyco got me nowhere. :(. Sooo frustrating!

Can anyone help me? Ever since I did the recent update after Halloween quagmire is stuck at the end of a ghost buster task and I can’t end it. Every time I tap on him the game kicks me out, it’s very frustrating because I need him for other things and Halloween should be over.

Ok, had a long diatribe to post about the halloween in both pros and cons; however, I decided just a few things of relative annoyance as i’m pressed for time this evening. So here it is:
WTH: During halloween event noticed Cleveland was a premium character being sold for 400 clams on my buddy’s iphone. Really tinyco? You fubar the first rollout of Cleveland and alienate the hell out of those that didn’t get him, then add insult to injury by making him a purchaseable? If that were the vase, he should be listed under the characters you buy list. Greed is bad m’kay!
WTH: Still no Carl for Android users. Apple fan boys running the company are they tinyco? More alienation of players by giving a monetary edge to anyone playing on a non-android device? I call shenanigans due to poor management decisicion of letting it ride. If it’s broke for some, module should be removed. Of course that is unless something more sinister like Apple or MS lining pockets to create a marketing ploy is what is really happeneing there. Otherwise you have a staff sponsored glitch abuse on your hands. Tell me I’m wrong. No I don’t think tinyco should remove the option. I think it should be made available to everyone or noone until it’s ready. Still waiting on a response from tinyco on this one. Got a canned message with specifying anything other than that it is a new feature with an issue.
Really in the end, a certain other cartoon franchise had it right the other night when it poked at this game and TSTO… freemiums are anything but free. If you didn’t see the episode, you should. We’re all addicts and I blame Canada for it 😉 Just my 2 cents.

Ok I still have the bulldogs roaming all over the place. It drove me nuts during the halloween event with all the ghosts and creatures everywhere. I was hoping there would be a quest to clear them but then the mayor was finished with his quests and halloween is over and they are still there. Is this a problem in anyone else’s game? I feel as if I am alone in this matter. Ahhhh help!

So, I have been thinking for a while (and not sure if somebody else has already suggested this), but tinyco should introduce an alternate option to “rushing” character and building tasks. My idea is that in addition to being able to spend clams to rush something, there should also be the option abandon a particular task (character task, building construction, building drop, etc). This would be helpful in times where you might need a particular character freed up for a timed event (have read many addicts complain about this through the past few events). The compromise would be that no matter how far along the current task is, you would forfeit any xp/$/items associated with completing that task. Maybe it could even cost additional money to do something like this (god knows many of us are flush in cash that will never be used by this point). I don’t know, seems fair to me; clams rush the task and give you rewards, or you abandon the task at a non-clam cost and forfeit the pending reward.

So I built up a bunch of rockets and started my attack. For some reason the chocolate rockets are not being used and only the Graham Cracker and Gasoline.. I now have 45 Graham Cracker and 45 Gasoline rockets and 80+ Chocolate rockets… Which means I am unable to hit the max payout.. Anyone else seeing this bug? The first time I did my rocket attacks it cycled through the different rockets just fine.

So here is my BIG WTH…. I thought I saw it with Demon Stewie bUT event ended before I could be certain. WHY are the missiles RANDOM??! I thought they went in order. I had enough missiles for 4 25X strikes. However I had purple, red, then blue then RED,BLUE, and now RED! Now I have 45 purple rockets left for no reason as I have 18 hours to get 28 red rockets.

My what the hell is more of a wtf!! I clicked to make Francis’s pulpit. It then said it was in my inventory. I went to my inventory and the bunch of bats was there instead!!! And I just had clicked to build his grave too!! I contacted support, but I have contacted them many other times before and never hear back… Oh and I’m down to like 100 spirit vials now! Help! Has this happened to anyone else?

Ok so I love the game but really why don’t they have an option to exchange coins for spirit vials or some of the jars for spirit vials or even let me just buy some vials!! I need them specially since twice trying to brew the items for Freddy it would brew crash but take the vials and not give me the items!!!!!

How did you contact them? Via in game or email? Check to see if they responded. If not, send another message preferably right from your game menu, help, contact and they should get to it. They are fixing it on a one to one basis til a game wide patch can be made.

My only WTH involves my kids:
– I have been saving up clams for a long time to get Consuela. I was sitting around 240 clams until about a week ago. One of my kids got ahold of my phone and used a bunch of clams. Now Consuela is only 180 clams and I’m sitting at 175 trying my hardest to unlock Mr. Weed to get the 50 clam reward for collecting all three of the Tortured Souls.

Its getting old that in the game I still only can use clams to get a lot of stuff. I have a TON of coins from gathering and not caring about anything to buy. So why can’t we have it be something like for 100 clams or 100 k coins you can buy this Jason character. Or whatever it is. I understand that clams =real money for the developers, but for those that have been playing long term should get a break too.

There was a TON of stuff for Freemiums to get in this event. TONS. Not just by Clams. My Freemium game is stuffed full. With the Free Clams I won just playing I was even able to buy a few extras too from the event for it. During any event items cost event currency. Coins will come back into play in regular game play time. 😉

There’s soooooooo much Freemium stuff! And GOOD stuff at that! I was totally surprised they threw in Freddy as a Freemium character. He has the funniest quest line IMO. Not to mention Stay Puft, all the Ghostbuster outfits, Stewies costume, Meg’s costume, returning ghost characters…… And on and on and on…. Sheesh!!! I actually prefer using event currency (vials) during events. It helps me save up for the next district and new regular items.

I don’t really have a WTH for this game, other then the stupid kids scattering when bombs available and huddled when none, annoying puff man selection and the number of vials needed for everything.
But I keep seeing comments about more land…. I was bugged by how far the road has to sit from most of the actual buildings, very few hit both sides equally, leaving a lot of space behind or in front. Would it be possible to program that spacing smaller to be able to be closer to the building, therefore creating more space? I have no idea how hard this might be, it’s just something I thought of.

I play on a Kindle HD Fire, I’m afraid that I’m gonna wear out the on/off button for the gazillion times I have to restart from the freezing and the crashing. Maybe TinyCo has way too much going on with the Halloween event. I don’t know it’s very frustrating maybe I’ll stop playing and come back in a couple weeks.

I have to restart my Kindle Fire HD every time I play. At one point, I got fed up with the game and deleted it. I didn’t have any problems with my device when Family Guy was fine. Reinstalled it and the problems returned.

I just cannot believe the amount of times the game CRASHES! It crashes every 10 seconds into the game, no kidding.
I play many other games on my phone, including Tapped Out.
But Family Guy TQFS is the only game that I have to restart every 10 seconds! I can’t even collect the money or Fright Points!
Utterly frustrating.
I do not encourage anyone to pay for that game until this issue is solved once and for all.

How do you get spirit vials from Stay Puft? I have only been getting marshmallow goop. I have all the goop I need but really need spirit vials.

The only thing that I get is goop when I defeat him. He doesn’t drop any spirit vials at all.

Watch your vial count. The lil pop out image can hide behind the Goop. See if it goes up.

I’m a TQFS addict and I check on my town religiously. I just got Freddy Kreuger and completed my scary guys collection and also found out this weekend they have a new event with Consuela. I was looking forward to starting the new event BUT when I tried to load the game last night I got the getPlayArea loading error! Grr and it has not gone away (it’s been over 12 hours!) Thanks to your suggestion, Bunny, and your updated post regarding this issue, I contacted TinyCo. I understand it’s going to take time for them to work on it and get back to me but I’m just impatient and being a brat. I want to play my game! Lol. What makes it worse is that my husband who also plays the game has no problem loading his game. I tried to get my fix playing his town but he is half way through the FK event and doesn’t even have enough marshmallow goop to get the remaining items that he needs nor is he rushing to do anything about it! OMG! He’s just not as dedicated as I am and yet he can play his game and I can’t play mine! WTH!
Hey TinyCo, if this Dios de Los Muertos event is only for the weekend can you please extend it for those of us who are having this loading problem until we can access this game again, por favor? Gracias! Until then I’m (im)patiently waiting with bated breath lol.

My wth? Is with the ecto-1. I think the car is pretty awesome, but what’s up with placing the car facing one direction, then when you leave the build menu, it spins the car sideways? I hope they fix this annoying little glitch

I got all the items from the new box except Consuela’s costume without getting any skulls, then hit ten in a row. WTH, all I want is the dang costume!

I have the exact same problem! I only wanted the stupid costume and still don’t have it after using up all of my spirit vials! Seven skulls and all the other prizes. Come on!
