The Christmas update is NOT, I repeat NOT live in our games…yet. Right not they are doing some testing on it to make sure the 1.5 version is going OK. So a small amount of you will see the update hit your app markets.
Again, this is JUST prep work/testing. So those that get it will ONLY see the icon, Splash Screen, and snow in town. NO tasks, NO items, NO event. We will post more when it goes live.
Well…that is unless we fall asleep waiting for it to hit. It HAS been a very long day for both of us. Lol
So hang in there. We’ll get the info out when we can.

Some more details below the fold…
Ok guys this is just like Halloween…you have to earn Cookiees to buy stuff (like Spirit vials) AND you have Holiday Cheer (like Fright points). You also have the ability to craft/create gifts at Santa’s Workshop (like the cauldron). So you guys should know a lot of the drill by now…
This event is very Lois heavy in the beginning. And a lot of short tasks that you should progress through quickly. The stopping point will come when you craft your first gift, which will take an hr. And then you’ll have another task to build the Quahog Mall, which will take 4hrs to build. If you’re looking to rest tonight…that might be your best stopping point….

Quahog Mall- 50 Gingerbread. 4hr Build. Chance to drop the Star needed for Sexy Santa Lois. Also Earns 8 Gingerbread and 1 Holiday Cheer/4hrs.
Gingerbread Shack- 100 Clams. Always drops 50 Gingerbread/4hrs. Also drops 5 Holiday Cheer.
Gingerbread Trailer- 250 Clams. Always drops 250 Gingerbread/8hrs. Also drops 60 Holiday Cheer

Note: It looks like TinyCo has learned from Halloween…and you cannot repair the Train Station until the task triggers. Progress through quiet a bit of the main questline and then the quest will trigger. Be patient.. 🙂

Sexy Santa Lois starts once you’ve started the Naughty or Nice quest….(this happens around Part 6 or 7 of Miracle on Spooner Street) Here’s what you’ll need to unlock her:

5 Mistletoe (Rare)- Earned by: Make Peter Put Up the Tree OR Make Quagmire Enjoy Carrots OR Get From Christmas Griffin House
For those curious…the rush rate is around 300 Clams (depending on how many Gingerbread you have)
Jasper!
Brian’s family is coming to Quahog! And Jasper can be found at the Quahog Train Station….BUT be WARNED. Once you repair the train station you only have 7 Days to Unlock him! So DO NOT repair the train station until you’re ready.
Here’s what you’ll need to unlock Jasper:
Happy Greek- Get the Happy Greek From a Holiday Gift Box
Dance Studio- Get the Dance Studio From a Striped Gift Box
Cheer Stage- Get the Cheer Stage from a Striped Gift Box.
Or you can instantly unlock for 300 clams.
Squatters
There are two types of Squatters with the event…Snowmen and Mall Santa’s (and apparently CIA Agents, as they’re still roaming the streets of my Quahog!)
Snowmen
Just tap them and they’ll go away. Plus you’ll earn event currency!
Mall Santa’s
For these you will need Sexy Santa Lois and/or Jasper to clear. Each Mall Santa takes 2hrs to clear and earns you 10 Gingerbread and 2 Holiday Cheer. Plus the chance for a doll to drop!

Clear 10 Mall Santa’s in 4 Days and you’ll unlock the North Pole sign!

Holiday Cheer…
Collect Holiday Cheer to upgrade your Christmas tree! The bigger the tree/cheer the more Squatters will come to Quahog! (Mall Santa’s and Snowmen)
And yes…as of right now there are Clam rewards when you reach a new Level. Follow along with The Cheer Squad questline to earn clams for reaching cheer levels!
Secret Santa…
For the first time during a TQFS Event there’s a Social Element to it! (Remember the only way to have friends in this game is via Facebook. And if you’re looking for friends check out our Add Me Thread here.)
You can leave a Secret Santa Gift for a neighbor…and they’ll get rewards for it and you’ll get a chance for Clams! (and rewards too!)
Below is from the in game FAQs. This will explain it better than I can at 3:30 am…
How does Social Gifting work?
Bonnie can create Secret Santa Gifts by performing the “Wrap a Gift” action. You’ll be able to see how many Secret Santa Gifts you have by viewing the counter on the Multiverse button.
When you visit an eligible friend’s Quahog, you’ll see a button on the top right corner of the screen with the number of Secret Santa Gifts you own. If you tap on it, you’ll leave your friend a box that they can open to receive wonderful prizes. You can gift each friend one gift box each day.
Whenever you give a friend a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll also receive Christmas Cookies and a chance for clams!
How do I open Secret Santa Gifts?
When you receive a Secret Santa Gift, you’ll see a message telling you to open the box by your Christmas tree. To open it, tap on the box!
You can open one Secret Santa Gift per day. If you receive more than one box per day, you’ll be able to open another after 24 hours have passed.
Santa’s Wish List…
Fulfill various wishes (usually via the Crafting part) to unlock Santa for your Quahog!
How do I use the Christmas Wishlist?
Tap on Santa’s Sleigh to access the Christmas Wishlist. You can fulfill wishes by collecting the items that characters have asked for. Fulfilling a wish unlocks a new Christmas action for that character.
How do I get Santa?
If you complete every wish on the Christmas Wishlist, you’ll receive Santa!

You’ll notice it’s there…but it’s locked! The land is smokey and you can’t access it just yet. It’s coming soon…so be patient and enjoy Christmas! 🙂

HELP!!! I made a few Holiday gift boxes. I got the drunken clam skin, Brian’s Inspiration corner, Chris’s drafting table, the happy Greek,, and the skating pond. Now……the holiday gift box is gone! Only the striped gift box remains! Has this happened to any one else??

I saw someone comment on another post about how all of these events require some altering of your town (for a better chance at catching the current squatters). I also had all of my buildings shoved into the corners and only one section of street so my town looked terrible. But I noticed that, at least with the snowmen, CIA people, ghosts and trick or treaters, all you need is a small maze of street and a little bit of space to see them when they pop up. So if you keep your town set up and remove all the streets outside of the ones creating your maze you should still be good.

All you need to do is collect enough gingerbread and stockings (clear snowmen) then craft the presents at santa’s factory. Gift is 1 of a selection including skins for buildings and items from santa’s list. When you clear lv1 you will need red stockings from clearing mall santas and the orphanage.
FYI you need the lv 2 parcels to unlock Jasper!

So far in holiday box I received:

So I’m starting to save for striped boxes now since I already got the happy Greek and I want to start collecting things for jasper (last 2 in striped boxes). Only 3 dresses and a few g-men needed for sexy Lois – so I’ll have her this weekend to start getting mall santas
Oh and please make a list of everyone who earns holiday stuff – I have jason and Freddy on their 12 hr tasks – and a lot of others on their 24 hr tasks to earn holiday stuff

Just to let you know that once a gift box is crafted, when you first tap it, instead of tapping open there’s an option to click a button labeled prizes which tells you what you can win, nothing repeats and once you have all prizes from each type of gift box it will disappear from the workshop, I got all from the holiday box and I think you only need Chris Griffins Drafting Table, which is also an item from Santas Wishlist.

Scratch that, ALL of the 24 hour holiday earning tasks are 2 clams to speed up. This boosts gingerbread and holiday cheer. If you want to get those baggies filled quickly, this is the way!

I have wrapped/unwrapped 2 of the holiday gift boxes & I have received the first 2 items of the wish list-Chris Drafting Table & Brian Inspiration Corner-is this what it basically is? Can someone please put up a completed list of the character tasks for gingerbread cookie men? Meg can spin the bottle, 6h for 20 cookies and some christmas cheers, Freddy may grill up those shishkebabs for 12h (or what they’re called), Chris seems to be doomed to have a whole day of drawing ahead before he gets the cookies. Haven’t had time to check the rest. Anyone who can put up a good list with all stats? Thanks. Have a cookie as reward. 😛 (This month is fattening!)

I have a deformed elf walking around my Quahog. He’s called Santa’s Reindeer on account of his reindeer hat. When I click on him there’s an inventory button. If I click on it an Ollie Williams pop up tells me I can store him. I did, and when I went to place him again, his image was that of Slimer’s big green butt. I’ve also had a few items in the market with the same image. It’s a pretty funny bug, but luckily it doesn’t seem to be causing any issues.

I just crafted 2 holiday boxes (no dolls required). The first box gave me the wish list item for Chris and the second gave me Brian’s. I bet it’s 2 wish list items per week, but not sure.

I crafted the Lois costume & sent her to get rid of a mall Santa. Then got “make the Yuletide gay pt1” quest telling me to pick up a surprise at the train station….my question is if I click on it will it start the countdown for jasper or does the countdown start after pt2?

I just BARELY got Francine! I’m so angry. She took this long & I’ve been working hard on her since she first came out. I can’t belive It took so long. Pretty upset because I had everyone I could working on her & the muffins wouldn’t drop. I got ONE muffin in 2 weeks & now that the events over it drops 3 in a row. Rude!

If I’m doing the math right, how is it possible to upgrade the tree to level 10 if you can only upgrade once a week in a 4-week event?

In the halloween event I upraged two levels every week. I think it’ll be the same way. But I was playing the game LITERALLY every 2 hours. I wanted to make sure I could unlock everything lol

Christmas will most likely be similar to the Halloween event. There was only 5 Portals, yet we could go up to Level 10 on the Fright Meter. You can go past Level 2 on Holiday Cheer, but to qualify for updating the tree before the time limit runs out you have to reach HC Level 2.

As with the Halloween event, your tree level is separate from your cheer level. Your cheer level goes up as soon as you get enough HC, you get the perk and clams etc for the level immediately.
Then there’s your tree level, which you can upgrade at set intervals (right now one week) as long as you meet the required cheer level (next week will be level 2 and in the Halloween event it was 2, 3, 4 etc meaning you never needed to max out your fright/cheer level to access the highest level items of the event)

If I remember correctly from previous events, you can level up no matter if the next upgrade is available and the amount of creatures spawning is depending on your level (not upgrade). But to upgrade each week you have to have reached a certain level, and the last upgrade will probably be at level 4 or 5. Does it make sense?

There were 10 portal upgrades that got you bonuses but only 5 weekly upgrades in the Halloween event. I’m already on upgrade 4 which gives you extra mall Santas (plus the 3 previous awards more Santas, and two lots of extra snowmen) but obviously still on level 1 tree.

Its the cheer level that goes to 10 not the tree. You can advance cheer levels any time you get enough of those points that look like the ornament balls. Remember fright points and fright level from halloween?

A small glitch- when you send Stan to go ice skating he goes to the roller skating rink.
Tip – make sure to scroll through you character’s actions. I found about five characters who have 1day actions that pay event currency.

Okay guys, I need some major help. I absolutely love this update and want to maximize my experience. what buildings should I spend my clams on to acquire everything. Should I really focus on gingerbread men like blam! Or wait to get stockings and stuff like the brains and stuff used for the cauldron in the Halloween event? Basically get the most bang for my buck. I’m planning on hitting this event hard and need some help on my strategy. Thanks
