Well it looks like TinyCo had some success in getting the update out…as phase 2 is now live! In order to kick it off you must go to your tree and tap on it (it should have a bow). This will upgrade your tree to the 2nd Phase.
One thing you’ll notice is it looks like TinyCo decided to make a little winter storm hit Quahog…as the blizzard conditions have picked up & some wind is now whipping in town!

You can craft Jesus in the Workshop…BUT he’ll take a while to get. To get Jesus you’ll need:

However, there’s something cool with Jesus….Once you have Jesus, he will help you defeat Yeti. Once you level him up to Level 3, he will have a special 24-hour action, “Turn Water into Clams,” which has a chance to drop clams!
New Premium Character to Buy
John in Argyle’s Limo- 200 Clams. Limo earns 5 Cookies and 1 HC/2hrs. John can also attack the Yeti.
John’s attack level for the Yeti is a 2 or 3…higher than Lois & Mort. Great in combination with them to defeat the Yeti Quickly!
YES…he is voiced. And YES he says what you’re all hoping he says.
For those that don’t know….he’s from Die Hard. And YES it is Bruce Willis voice.
Yeti
You’ll find the Yeti in your Christmas Village. To defeat the Yeti you’ll need Sexy Santa Lois, Hanukkah Mort, John or Jesus (when you get him) to do the 4-hour action “Battle the Yeti”. Each completed attack will do either low or high damage to the Yeti. The higher the level the harder he is to defeat.
You can send multiple characters to attack him at once…this defeats him faster
Each time you attack the Yeti and defeat him you’ll move him up to a new level, where he’ll change hats:
Each level of defeat the rewards increase…
As you can see not every hat is unlocked yet…more will unlock as the event progresses.
You’ll be able to see his health meter as it will float over his head….

How Often Does the Yeti respawn?
After you defeat him he’ll respawn again in 4hrs. When he comes back he’ll be at the next level.
What’s the 24hr Timer For?
This counts down how long you have to defeat the Yeti to keep the streak going. Once you defeat him the clock will reset back to 24hrs. The streak is the only way to get him to increase his hat level…ie you earn more rewards for beating him.
If you don’t defeat him within 24hrs, he’ll escape and reset back to the first hat level…Viking.
What Are the Different Yeti Levels & How Many Health Points Does it Take to Defeat Him at Each Point?

Weekly Challenge..
For this week’s Challenge you’ll have to defeat Cowboy Yeti (the middle level) in 4 days. This should be fairly easy to achieve. Just continuously send Lois to defeat him once it triggers. Although if you have Mort it can make it go faster.
Peter triggers this one after you’ve checked out the details on the Yeti and defeated him once. It will be shortly after The Great Quahog Blizzard Pt. 2. So if you don’t want to trigger it…don’t tap on Peter after that point.
Update: Sorry guys…I couldn’t remember last night if it was after Part 2 or 3 that the challenge triggered. So I went with shortly after Part 2. Better to be safe then sorry. If it’s not triggering for you…finish part 3 and see if that helps it trigger. However, if you don’t want to trigger it…don’t tap on Peter after you get the Clams popup. (below)

So if I have two characters battling the Yeti, and they will finish battling him at different times, and the first character defeats him, will the second character be freed up from battling the Yeti (since he won’t respawn for another four hours) or will that character continue throwning snowballs at nothing?

You know…I haven’t ran into that yet. Good question. I would assume it will cancel the other one out. Lemme test it now.
So just tested it…Lois finished off the Yeti…Mort is still tossing snowballs at him…so…now for my next test. I am going to see if after his four hours is up, if I leave the checkmark on Mort…if it will help to start an attack EARLIER.

How do people play this game without this site? And that isn’t a compliment congratulating this site- but meant to illustrate how ridiculous this game’s quests are. What The ***. Every single event is ridiculous, unreachable, insane, and not worth anyone’s tine- and the only way to win is $$CLAMS$$.

First of all…language. Second of all, how do Bunny and I play the game? We don’t have a resource site we pull from, we are the resource site. So we get the information from playing the game and being patient with it. It is possible.

Again…WE don’t have a website to go to. We ARE the website. How do we find the info? We play it. We have NO access to game files on this one. We have the same access and info as YOU do. The FAQ built into the game. Much of our info outside that…mainly play play play. Out of our own pockets and expense. On top of that, we have multiple games. At least one freemium and one premium so we can test if things are obtainable. To date…the ONLY things I missed are the Premium Characters (which are always personally choice) and the items from the first events when the game was launched. Outside that, I have successfully been able to get ALL the Freemium items and then some just fine…playing free. No speeding up, no camping out, just play. Not to mention I have probably won close to 1000 Clams by now by again, just playing the game.
I know it may seem daunting for Freemiums at time that things are not just handed right to you and you have to work for them, but they ARE obtainable if you are willing to put in the time to play. 🙂
Since the beginning of games, there has ALWAYS been a way to help you on a game. Inserts in the packaging, websites, email addresses, phone lines, on n on n on. It take the fun out of the game if you know every lil single thing and have no challenge, don’t you think? What is a game without Challenge? BORING in my opinion. 😉

All info on this site is completely obtainable by playing the game but the great thing about coming here is you can see what is coming up because these awesone ladies buy hundreds of $ in clams to rush tasks to get the info out to us b4 we get to it. I love John McClane, so I bought him right away. I’m also liking the broad selection of characters for unlocking the Mort costume. But, of course, they had to use Lois again as the sole character for the new Yeti while many players are more than likely still needing her full-time to unlock Jasper – being the sole character able to do so, too! I really hate that way of pressuring players into either unlocking stuff with clams or purchasing premium items.
I’m happy to pay for compelling and desirable premium content like John. I don’t appreciate to be forced into buying lackluster stuff because of their sadistic game design.
In the end this strategy fails (at least in my case), because I become a less dedicated player that only spends very little for the most interesting stuff only, accepting to lose out on some items.

With all the sound issues/glitches on iOS acknowledged by TC, can you actually hear McClane? Would be a waste of clams otherwise.

I am on Android 4.4.2 not ios but still having sound issues am on a new HTC Desire 510 I even reinstalled game and still only some sound from Peter music works but don’t want the music

Is Jesus in everyone’s game? He has not shown up in Al’s store for me. At Al’s it says I have 42/43 characters – and only mort is there to be made. When I view the character list – it says I need the manger for Jesus. Any thoughts?

The Pharmacy is just a skin for the Pharmacy. But yes, I believe he does have tasks inside the Pharmacy. If he doesn’t regular Mort does.

Several Q’s here
1. Will Jesus continue to craft clams after the event if you unlock him?
2. Do you need 15,000 cookies total? Or you do you actually need them at the time?
3. Any suggestions on how to get 100 blue stockings? Seems a little steep. I have the snow cone stand but still seems almost impossible without snowmen drops.

2. At that time & it will take them from you. It’s like crafting a gift box. The items are taken from you
3. Defeat the Yeti to get the Childish stage and keep him there. Continuously defeat him at that stage, as it drops 10 Snowflakes each time.

I try to play the game freemium as much as I can (money is for TSTO), but I couldn’t pass up John and had enough left for the Pharmacy facade (figured it’d help greatly in getting Mort’s skin quicker and give event currency to boot). One thing’s for sure after the next 1,500 cookies (1k for Mort, 500 for Nakatomi Plaza) the rest is getting saved for Jesus, and I’ll be doing everything in my power to keep the yeti streak at a high level to get those snowflakes (I’m sure it’ll be easier once I get Mort’s skin and can get him to fight alongside John & Lois). It’ll be a challenge, but totally worth the chance of free clams. Dolls will take a hit with Lois preoccupied with Yetis, but I thankfully got Jasper to help some on that point (despite the fact he’ll be going solo, it’s better than nothing). Do we know if Jesus will be on a timer? Hope not. I’m guesstimating 5 days minimum to get that many snowflakes (since I will not be buying the premium building)…

So for the challenge, of Lois gives an average of 3 HP in 8 hours (half 2 half 1), in 25 hours (assuming no sleep) you should average 9 HP which will not be enough for the challenge. Taking 1 chance out for sleep should give you 7 or 8 HP. Since it may take 4 days to get Mort, does this mean we almost need to get John/Bruce W. to achieve this? Or am I missing something?

Attack the Yeti to get to Cowboy stage BEFORE triggering the Week 2 Challenge. Then you’ll just need to defeat him at that level to get the prize.

I have the same question John does, and that’s not what we’re asking. Once you get to the Cowboy stage, you only have 24 hours before he goes back to the first stage. How are we supposed to get him down 10HP when you can see from John’s math that you can only average 9HP.
If we just have Lois attacking, we’d be able to hit the Yeti 5 times in 24 hours. If 3 of these do 1 damage and 2 do 2 damage that is 1+1+1+2+2 = 7. 7 is < the 10 needed for the challenge.

She is saying it CAN be done, but she did NOT say with ONLY Lois. Get Mort first to make sure you have a fail safe. This is what I did. I knew the task was coming, so I waited. Started Lois on her task right away. Then I waited. When it was just about time for her to be done, I triggered the challenge. Then continually sent her to attack him…EVEN when he was “down” his 4 hrs. So as soon as he could take a hit, I would just tap that check mark. I did it with just her. Had to watch it round the clock, but I did it.
I believe this one was set up with Mort in mind to help to be quite honest. If it really does come down to the wire and you HAVE to use clams, speeding her in the last hour for 1 or 2 Clams will be cheaper than buying out Mort.
FYI…you do realize he resets 24hrs every hit. And you have 4 days to do it in? EASY

Oh ya thanks for finally sending back a gift Ollie, after sending you 6 you finally sent me one back. And it was 2 candy canes, thanks alot ya cheap b******.

I think I read on here somewhere that Ollie gives you a gift box each time you level up….? Wish you got one each time you give him one as none of my friends seem to have installed the Christmas update.

Ollie only sends a gift each time the tree levels. It does not matter if you send him a gift, so don’t waste gifts on him.

I love and bought the John Mclane character. My only pet peeve and wish is that they spice up the audio a bit. Its clear they just took it from the movie, but I wish it didnt sound like they did.

4 on mine, too. I think on some of the previous “giant monster” attacks, it had less health the first time you have to defeat it. Maybe that’s what’s happening here…

My first Yeti had 4 health. Lois hit for 1 and John finished him with 3. Problem now is Lois doesn’t seem to have the Battle Yeti task anymore. I sent John to battle first but unless I’m blind I can’t find Lois’ task anywhere.

I scrolled through every Lois costume numerous times and don’t see it anywhere. I hard closed and even restarted the iPad to be sure. Still not there. I’ve messaged TinyCo and put Lois on Training in Flame Combat for Mort’s costume. I’ll check again after John is done with his battle.

I just clammed her out of Flame Combat to check again. Her Sexy Santa tasks are: 2hr clear Santa, 2hr nativity scene, 4hr naughty dance, 6hr holiday party, 8hr decorate tree, 12hr pageant, 20hr stiff party. That’s it. I’m wondering if it is related to adding a character adding hours to the battle. I put John on first this time and I’m wondering if that locked Lois out.

My Sexy Santa Lois costume had the task move down the list. It was no longer at the top to send her to defeat him. But it was still there.
FYI…in previous events…sometimes the tasks went away when the Monster we defeated and timing down til they can be defeated again. But then returned back as soon as you could attack them again. Report any of this to them.

This may have been the issue. I attacked again with John right after the first defeat. Lois may have been on the 4hr cool down.

So it was indeed the cool down. It affected Lois but not John. He went straight back into battle without an issue. Not sure how or why.

Just had the same thing happen with Mort. Killed the Yeti with Lois & John and had just finished creating Mort’s costume. I had received the quest to have Mort Battle the Yeti and even though he was on his 4hr cool down I still had the option to start the battle task (at the top and higlighted) for Mort. I decided to just wait this time and put all 3 characters on the Yeti after the cool down. I’m guessing this is why I was able to make John Battle the Yeti while he was on the cool down too because his first quest was also Battle the Yeti.

I can’t believe how many people don’t know who John McClane is…..I’m old! Anyway, looks like I’ll be spending some clams this go round. I prefer these type of premium characters over the fictional ones. I spent a lot during GenCon, but nothing during Halloween, so I am all saved up again. Liking this event quite a bit so far. Loving Christmas phase 2! However, if defeating the yeti is going to need more health points for each level up, making him harder to defeat, then you may need to increase the 24hr time limit so that defeating him will be possible, just thinking ahead. It would be nice if once I reach a certain level of defeating the yeti if the reward could happen to be everything needed to create Jesus in the workshop. 🙂 It’d also be nice if I could just buy cookies, candy canes, snowflakes, ect the same way that I am able to buy clams, or just use clams to create gifts, Jesus, etc. Thanks!

Lordy as freemium without Facebook I am struggling between long work hours and sleep on this event. I am still working on striped boxes to free jasper. It feels like I’m way behind when I read the comments. This event is now very Lois heavy for players who still need her to get rid of santy. Looks like this will be the first event I fail, loved the family guy and ghost busters and completed them, but this is painful.

Same here. Got all kinds of crap from the striped box, but not Jaspers buildings. And the clock’s ticking. So all I can do with Lois is keep going at the santa’s. And that put 3 questlines on hold now. Nice balance. Not.
I guess I’ll o get old Bruce to go at the Yeti while Lois does her other stuff. Shame…

A word of warning if you are not getting john mcclane you might want to hold off starting this weeks challenge until you get mort. Lois can only do a max of 10 damage in 24 hours but you would have to be extremely lucky to get 2 all 5 times. I went ahead & bought john so I’m going ahead with it.
Oh well. I like the idea of building a posse to take on the boss instead of just amassing items. I think it will make us work harder around the clock to keep the streak alive at higher levels. Should be fun.

So far this event has been fantastic! They have a great ratio of free/premium (which they usually have), as well as a way to earn clams from Jesus! What everyone has been asking for!!

It’s a personal choice. Personally I think John will help you defeat the Yeti more than Mort will. You have other ways to earn the items for Mort.

If Jesus were already in the game, He would tell you to buy John McClane. IMO you’ll have more fun with him then an additional skin. And FYI the person in the limo is Argyle, the driver who brings McClane to Nakatomi Plaza and subsequently becomes trapped in the garage.

Seemed impossible to get GT when ComicCon was introduced, but most of us did. Seemed impossible to get Mr. Weed during Halloween, but most of us did. Now Jesus seems impossible, and yeti (ba dum tss) I think most of us are gonna be turning water into clams by 2015.

Already got John McClane. Now building Nakatomi Plaza. Love this game. Can’t wait to see who needs to be unlocked this phase.

I am building the Nakatomi Plaza, that’s a 4 hour build, can’t recall what it costs, I just bought it outright. I am also building Quagmire’s cabin for 500 cookies. I still have 155 clams left, so toying with getting Mort’s Pharmacy skin. It costs 100 clams. Unfortunately I set most of the other players with 24 hour tasks to go and do them while the storm was raging on and I don’t have enough clams to accelerate them. So I will have to wait to set them in the morning. It looks like Jerome’s gift maker is still not making a gift like Bonnie, so I don’t know if it’s just a make-work project for cookies and cheer. I am up to level 5, now, so I am curious to see ‘who’ the Procrastinators are. And even though Francine has a four hour task like Stan Lee’s to do the Parkour, it is not a Christmas task.

Not sure what the conversion is…BUT it’s the 3rd smallest package in the game. You’ve got 1.99, 4.99 and then 9.99. So I think right around your 3rd smallest package it should work.

Note that that means you are paying 66.5p for the cookies and snowflakes, they are not ‘free’ (because the £6.99 clams are more expensive per clam than the £2.99 ones).
66.5p for 5 snowflakes is pretty expensive (considering one defeat of only the second level yeti yields that.)

(Or if you really want to spend money for the 4,000 cookies it would make more sense to buy the gingerbread trailer for two lots of £2.99 – you then receive 4,000 every four or five days rather than just the single lot.)

Nothing yet. You’ve got to remember Cheer Level helps you increase the tree BUT the tree only upgrades once a week. So right now everyone’s at Level 2…no matter what your actual Cheer Level says.

Right now I have Lois and John battling the Yeti! Mort is Jet Packing to safety in the hopes of getting a Super-Menorrah, he needs 10 of those to complete the Hannukah Mort skin. But he has help!
Chris can get a job, but it is no longer a 1 hour task, it is 10 hours now. Make Stan Keep America safe and it can also drop from Hanukkah Mort’s Phamacy; a skin you can buy for 100 Clams.
Other objects required for the skin are 5 jeweled Dreidels. Make Mort swallow jewels, Stan Lee practice Peter Parkour, Peter put up a tree, Make John roll out, Get from Snowy McBurgertown or from Hanukkah Mort’s Pharmacy. He also needs 8 Star of David Shields because he is going to assist Lois and John in defeating the Yeti. For these he needs Dr. Hartman to test experimental drugs, Make Jerome Be a Super Athlete or get from Hanukkah Mort’s Pharmacy

yetis, mclanes and snowballs oh my!!! so yeah due to an influx of clams from halloween, i bought the john mclane character, they use clips from the movie so he’s voiced that way. he’s currently fighting the yeti as i wait 45mins for Lois to be free and join him! 😛 im also currently building nakatomi plaza but that only costs cookies so its all good!! 🙂

Stan lee not showing up on the task he is there but he on his Spider-Man task but when I click on him tho morts costume Peter says we need this before we can do that why does he not count on my 2nd game when on my first it shows him and what has die hard got to do with family guy 200 clams a bit steep with all the new buildings to its Xmas we should get a break

I just noticed that myself! I like the idea of having other characters “fighting” the oversized menace this time around. I never seemed to get the right pesticides or candy bombs at the right time. Only bummer for me currently is that I still need Lois to get the dolls for the gift box for Jasper’s stuff, versus fighting the Yeti, and Mort isn’t immediately helpful with the Yeti. 😦
