Hey there Clammers. A quick bounce by to give everyone the heads up that there may be a possible delay in the New Tree Level aka Phase 2 of Miracle on Spooner Street today.
A MASSIVE storm has hit the west coast causing power outages, flooding, and safety issues.
Tinyco is still helping players, but right now our main concern is the safety of them and ALL their employees. An AMAZING group of people we are very appreciative of and consider great friends.
So hang in there. Lots to still do around the game while we wait. Be patient. They’ll be still giving you lots of great content to blow your minds. 🙂
To all TinyCo …
STAY SAFE!!! OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU!!!
~Bunny & Alissa

On their facebook they’ve mad a tease for John McClane. If he’s the next character, I’m kind of glad, because I’m never in a hurry to get the movie cutaway characters like him, Freddy, Jason, no matter how cool they may be in their individual movies. Only in it for Barbara, Jesus, and MAYBE Santa Claus.

I was wondering about the update. Hope everyone stays safe. I know they’ll get it done when they can.

So, this may be sacrilege to some, but I’ve never seen the die hard movies (I actually picked up all the non-PG-13 ones but never watched them). I know a lot of people watch them around X-Mas, but does it actually have to do with the holiday at all? Just asking because of the new picture the FGQFS Facebook page put up.

Ahh I wondered why no new tree.
Unfortunately I don’t have anything else to do, unlocked everyone, cant open presents until get the new tree. Oh well I hope they make it easier to get things before upgrade 3.

Tiny Co should grant one gift for Christmas something that you missed in past events.Just submit your request if you want a character, building, decko on a wishlist…I would pay clams too King Butt is the only character I dont have.Having every skin and character offered and not having the Butt is giving me anxiety for the holidays…lol…Just a suggestion if you guys are bored.

For all those saying that “west coasters don’t know what a storm is” and that “it’s just rain” it’s more than that. It’s not just a little bit of rain or a little wind. We’ve had winds over 70mph and almost a foot of rain. Major freeways are closed because they are flooded and the wind has knocked out pretty much all the power in San Francisco and other cities. Also, we haven’t had any significant amount of rain in about 2 years, so this crazy amount of rain had caused the Russian river and other rivers to rise about 35 feet and flood. And the waves from the oceans have caused streets and surrounding areas to close because they’re not safe. And if it’s “just a little rain and wind” then how could a giant oak tree fall on top of an 11 year old girl? I’m sorry that we don’t have snow and blizzards and hurricanes so obviously that means we can’t have a storm. I’m sorry for ranting but it is irritating to hear that Northern California isn’t allowed to have storms when it used to be quite common during the fall and winter seasons. So yes there is a storm going through here and your little game is going to have to wait

I’m in CA in the Monterey Bay Area and we are getting slammed by the storm! Everything is flooded and losing/lost power. Most of the major cities from here to SF are flooding. Stay safe, tinyco!

I’m in San Mateo (about 20 min south of the city) and we’ve been lucky that we’ve only really had rain. My street corners are flooded but they flood when someone bats an eye lol. The wind hasn’t been too bad here, but seeing all the flooding on 101 and 280 is def keeping me inside all day!! We can survive #hellastorm2014!

I live the South Bay Area and we are getting rained on pretty good. I got the flash flood warning on my phone this morning. There is some flooding and power outages but its not that bad at all. I got to meet a lot of the awesome team from TinyCo at the meet and greet (along with Bunny and Alissa 🙂 and I’m sure they are doing their absolute best. I’m going to go on Facebook and start complaining about all the complainers.

To be fair, we don’t even get proper snow storms in the UK, unlike those that Canada and the US get. An inch of snow over here makes everyone panic, whereas a Canadian sees 6 foot of snow outside his house and just gets on with life.

Its us Buffaloians in Buffalo, NY like myself see 6-7ft of snow and still go to work. Canadians are just the reason for traffic jams.

Last time I went to NY, I was walking down Broadway, the wind was whistling and people were falling over, due to the wind. If wind can make them do that, I’d hate to see what they do when it really snows. Central Park did look nice with some snow on it – shame it’s too flat to ski on!

If they are having power/server issues then maybe they should give everyone an extra day to unlock Jasper. I swear I am getting repeat gift drops from the Striped box.

Guys, guys – it’s not that big of a storm. Being out of power could easily cause them problems, and I can certainly be patient for the update. But seriously, who can be afraid of a storm called a “Pineapple Express”???
Derecho? Polar Vortex? Tropical Storm? THOSE are scary sounding.
By the way, is this also the update for the “Holiday Gift Box”? Just curious, because I can’t win them even though it says I only need the “Christmas Tree” not the “MERRY Christmas Tree”
BTW, still waiting on my “Mort corners latke oil market” task!

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again. TinyCo really needs to stop promising content updates at specific times because unforeseen events/bad programming/app store issues can cause delays. I fear it’s the only way people (particularly on the Facebook page) will stop whining when the update doesn’t hit.

QUESTION! i was skimming through the FAQs in-game for info about the christmas event and it mentioned something about being able to “auto re-try” actions. what does that mean and how do you do it? i play on an iphone 5

That thing that pops up when you’re done with an action…that says would you like to try for ____ item again? And you can rush it.

Weird, my game doesn’t do that.

Ha Ha. As a native of San Francisco I can honestly say that everyone in the Bay Area is a wuss when it comes to the weather. After spending a few years on the East Coast and having to learn how to drive through floods and blizzards it cracks me up being back in SF and the simple fact that having to turn on the windshield wipers is cause for 4 hour traffic jams… And public transport slows to a crawl because the tracks are “wet”… Then again, I am safely lounging on the couch today all nice and dry and waiting patiently for the update… So here is hoping everyone at TinyCo is safe and dry… And Go Giants!!!

Isn’t this the TRUTH! Half of America has a freeze or a nor’easter and that’s weather! Where I live we see a inch of rain and all of a sudden it’s StormWatch 2014 or Stormaggeddon. And no one even bothers to drive a bit slower. Noted: we do get flooding and an felled trees, but we see more power outages from idiots crashing into poles than from weather.

Just make sure you don’t put up any holiday decorations, literally the storm isn’t that bad all they advised people to do was take down Christmas decorations and there’s a slight possibility of some flooding, which is to be expected if you live right beside water… Wind speeds are low too. Does the west coast just not get that bad of storms and everyone panics anyway?
LikeLike
5+ inches of rain in many parts of California with Flash Flood Warnings (read: flooding is occurring right now, not a slight possibility of flooding) miles inland (read: not right beside water), blizzard conditions in the mountains, White Mountain saw a 113MPH wind gust today. I wouldn’t call 113MPH low wind speeds, where do you live that that 113MPH is a low wind speed?
I’m sure you’d say not that bad if your house was flooded and you didn’t have power to run sump pumps though, right?

TinyCo posted the funniest reply on FB to someone whoe asked how they were able to update FB (and not the game) due to the weather.
Here is their reply:
“There are pockets of precious Internet throughout the city, but they are often guarded by bandits or local militia. We fought them off a small pool of Internet, but it was only enough to post this update. And this comment explaining it. Word has it there’s a vast cache of WiFi over the next hill – possibly enough for an entire content update. We’ve sent an advance team to investigate. Pray for them.”
