Out with the animals and in with the meatheads! Phinease, Barnaby & Steroid Stewie have arrived in Quahog!
More details as we go through them…Details below the fold…
NOTE: TIMED EVENT. You will have 5 days to unlock both Phineas and Barnaby once you build. Also note that the event ends on January 27th…so make sure you build BEFORE the event ends.
UPDATE BUNNY: Here are some Clarifications on things we are seeing asked…
1: Is Rupert Event Only? YES! He will go with the Event, so make sure you get him before the Event ends on the 27th.
2: Completed Character Collection but don’t see my 100 Clams? There will not be a Clam icon in the game when this completes. Sometimes it takes a lil bit for your game to sync. If you don’t see them added to your total, Force Close your game and check your Clam count again. Facespace will show the checkmark that it is complete if the Clams were added.
3: Will I have 5 full days to complete the Characters once the buildings are placed? YES!! As long as the buildings are purchased and in your Quahog, you will still have the full 5 days to unlock Phineas & Barnaby. So make sure you have those buildings placed BEFORE the event ends on the 27th.
4: How far in the game do I need to be to see the Event? You just need to have Bruce unlocked (District 2) in order to see it.
5: What are your thoughts on unlocking BOTH at the same time? There are benefits to both sides. On one side, it is simpler to not stack Characters and be able to focus on collection for one at a time. On the other side, the Bike Shoppe DOES help drop Steaks… so there is that. 😉
First, let me note that Rupert is back! You can pick him up for 250 Clams (and the Bare Tanning Salon)…
Rupert will help you get Phineas and Barnaby…so he’s not a bad investment if you don’t already have him!

Buildings…
The Sweaty Clam- $4,000, 30s Build, Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Build to find Phineas.
Old Timey Bike Shoppe- $4,500, 4hr Build. Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Build to find Barnaby.
Art of Chesthair- $20,000, 20hr Build. Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs.
Penny Arcade- $2,500. 16hr Build. Earns $60, 40xp/12hrs.
Quahog Boxing Gym- 35 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Drops more Joggers in your Quahog. (Earns 5 Male and 5 Female/8hrs)
BULGE- 25 Clams, Earns $60, 45xp/12hrs
Quahog Diner- 75 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Always drops Eggs.
Jamie Mack’s House of Steaks- 50 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Always drops Steak.
Decorations
Shoe-pa-cabra- $2,500.
Joggers
Male and Female Joggers will appear in your Quahog. (Note female won’t appear until after part 3 of the main questline) Tap them to clear them. Clearing them drops items you’ll need for Phineas and Barnaby.
Male Jogger- Drops Triangular Weights and Eggs
Female Jogger- Drops Triangular Weights and Steak
For the Spawn Rates on BOTH Joggers…
They will Spawn every 3-4 hours for a MAX of 10 each in your Quahog at one time. So TOTAL MAX of 20. (10 Males & 10 Females.)

That’s as far as i’ve gotten so far. I will have the full details in the walkthrough.
Feel the Burn is the questline to unlock Phineas.
Feed the Beast is the questline to unlock Barnaby
And that my friends concludes the details on this little event we have going on in our Quahogs. Remember…this will end on Tuesday Jan. 27th so be sure to build the items needed for Phineas and Barnaby before then. Also remember you’ll have 5 Days to unlock both Barnaby and Phineas once you build their buildings. So don’t let time run out on you!

Anybody else think this even is a stupid waste of time? Not me. No. You are talking about a District that is permanent fixture in a game. Here to stay. You can do at ANYTIME you want. This is an Event. Some are short… some are long… but there will ALWAYS be Events. It is what adds a fun element to the game. Without Events… I would be bored out of my mind. 🙂
Honestly… it seems like you really aren’t enjoying yourself at all with this game. So much negativity all the time. I say this with love and care, but is this really a game for you? There is nothing wrong with not liking a game. I am just wondering… if it makes you so unhappy and miserable… why keep playing? Games are meant to be fun and enjoyed and I am … just not getting that from you. Not all games are for all players. You just have to find the one that makes YOU happy. 🙂

Exactly like who cares when the next part of the district is because this is filling the void in between, probably when this ends then next part of the district will come out. And if your complaints are about land go play like rollercoaster tycoon or something because tiny co is not here to lower your endorphins there here to raise them and if your endorphins are raised from unlocking more land than you are deffinitley a boring person love this game

Disappointing that you cannot get either Phileas or Barnaby without spending clams (steak and eggs can only come from premium characters or buildings)… unless the joggers drop a lot of extra rare items. So the whole thing is premium unless you play A LOT… been wrong before though… maybe they do drop easily enough!

I’ve already got 3 Steaks and 2 Eggs through joggers and I’m only 6 hours into the events, so this events looks very easy to get the 2 characters.

I usually love the mini events but not a fan of this one. I know who the characters are cuz I’m a family guy addict duh but I would’ve preferred at least twenty other characters before these two… And another expensive skin… I still bought it but it could’ve been cooler characters or something else. The buildings are cool and cheap at least. Bought all those too

What District are you in? The standard for anything Event wise is usually Level 10 Game Play and District 3 Unlocked

Omg I was so excited about a new event w new characters, a new skin and new buildings.. I think a chip burnt out in my brain because I just went clam-nuts and bought everything already. Even the building that drops eggs, which I believe is meant for Barnaby, so I even lost an egg drop for buying it. Because his building is still in limbo

I’m so happy that Rupert is back! I’ve been jealous of my neighbors having him for a while now. I started playing after whenever he was last available. I purchased him pretty much right away. 🙂 Out of curiosity, is that building the same one he originally came with?
I’ve built the first character building for this event but I’m unsure about building the other just yet. I’m worried that getting both guys in 5 days just won’t be possible. I was thinking I would wait a tiny bit and time it so that the event itself only has 5 days left when I finally build the 2nd guy’s building. The downside to that though is that until I build him I won’t be earning eggs from anything. 😛

Could not have been more excited to get Human Rupert! He completed the collection for me to get 100 clams, but I did not get them. Sent an ingame message. Hope no glitches happen, I have been pretty lucky with that!!

I’m stoked about having Phineas & Barnaby in the game & it shouldn’t be too hard to get them as long as the fatties are abundant enough. Still Waiting to see how many spawn every 4 hours.
Hopefully they have outdoor tasks on the old timey bicycles.
I’m thinking Tinyco could have made use of extra fat peter & Lois from the thanksgiving event here. Lois already has an outdoor exercise task that would have been perfect for this. Oh well. The guaranteed drops from Rupert are nice.

Not trying to be rude or nitpicky, but the rate (5 of each every 4 hours) is not stated. The max of 10 is stated. It appears they will spawn at 3, 7 & 11 a.m. and p.m. Eastern, which helps me plan when to set my nightly alarm. Of course if I miss the 3 a.m batch it will accumulate past the 7 a.m spawn, which is also useful information for my particular blend of OCDisms ;!

I apologize, I was unable to access the information on the FAQ until recently. I see what you have posted is direct from Tinyco. I would contend the information as they have posted it is, in fact, the misleading information, but that is a gripe I have now lodged with Tinyco through the in game messaging service. Anyway, consider yourself relieved of any further haranguing by me on the mathematical nature of rates. Thanks as always for you help.

The rate appears to be 5 every 4 hours for the fat men and maybe as high as 5 every 2 hours for the women. It has held true for both genders at 7 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. and there were 5 extra women at 9 p.m. (although there were not extra women at 5 p.m.) I don’t know if that varies across games but 5 is the consistent number of individuals of each type that appear during any one spawn … not the max, but the plain and simple number that appear at one time. Personally, I don’t see why that number would vary across games because if it dips below 3, it becomes mathematically impossible to achieve the required goal of obtaining 140 weights in 5 days. The information from Tinyco may be facts as to some details pertaining to the spawn rate but it is misleading in the sense that it entirely fails to answer the simple question stated in the FAQ: “What is the spawn rate of joggers?” That is why I prefer to determine the spawn rate on my own as opposed taking statements from Tinyco at face value. The information they provide in the FAQ is very often misleading compared to what the actual empirical evidence from the game demonstrates. And that was the whole point of my stating “Still Waiting to see how many spawn every 4 hours” in my original post. The answer is 5. That’s all I wanted to know.

Lol. I get what you are looking for, just if it was so simple. As in ALL events, a players game level seems to impact spawns. Not only that, but if players purchase the additional Clam Building… that helps with spawns. So there IS a variant. I just had 7 of each spawn all at once in my town… I have not been out that long. So… if it was as simplistic as the answer you are looking for… we would be happy to provide. However, it is not. It all comes down to the individual players game and how they play. So…their best option was to let you know the MAX amount total… and the spawn time. (Which in a sense is still a rate overall.) 😉

Right now … no… but have not played through all the dialog just yet. It may just be a Clam Building. There are several like that since the game started. Small Clam cost… but may come into play later on. Or not at all. Kind of reminds me of the Coffee Shop.

oh man, the build has a deadline but the charachter’s clock doesn’t start until you finish he build?
Really wishing I hadn’t started the bike shop, gonna hafta be careful and not click it until I have Phineas in the bag to give myself more time to get ALL THAT STUFF.
Passing on Roid Stewie, and I guess that means my desire to have a complete collection has finally burned itself out and I can stop shoveling cash into this game. I paid my fair share (more than!) to support tinyco so I’m gonna just leech from here on out. My daughter was just born so it’s for the best. Diapers are frakking expensive!

Let me be the first to complain,more clams to get characters wtf I cant even get a clam from jesus now there’s pumped up stewie! Man this stinks right after i purchased clams to get patches. I was thinking the same thing, but I got 2 steaks in my first group of female joggers, so hopefully this is a good sign. And hopefully I’m not jinxing myself by saying that.

200 clams for the Steroid Stewie skin. That’s pushing things too far. I’m far more likely to buy some clams to get Human Rupert (250 Clams) and have a whole new character. I probably would have bought Stewie for 100 without blinking. Oh well. And a warning: Once you build the Gym you have 5 days to complete the unlock. The Bike Store that provides one of the required items has a 4 hours build time. The Gym is 30 seconds.

Rupert is back! I am a bit concerned that I did not get my 100 clam bonus for completing my set of characters you buy. Perhaps after he finishes his task. If not I will contact Tinyco.

So, maybe this is overthinking things a bit, but it appears that both Phineas and Barnaby have a 5-day unlock timer. But the event ends in 6 days.
So, if you started Barnaby’s timer say on Jan. 23, do you have until Jan. 28 to unlock him? Or when the event ends on Jan. 27, will it remove Barnaby “early?”
I’m just trying to work out if there’s an advantage to waiting to build the Old Timey Bike Shoppe in order to extend your overall time to collect the required items?
At the very least, It seems to me that we shouldn’t Build the Old Timey Bike Shoppe until Jan. 22 so that Barnaby’s timer will end alongside the event. This would therefore provide you an extra 24 hours to collect Barnaby’s items as opposed to if you rushed through and started Barnaby already.

Just a small rant, why must so many buildings be clam purchases?? And especially ones that don’t even contribute to drops. Bulge (doesn’t necessarily cost a lot, but…) doesn’t drop anything and would be nice to add to my town but I’m not spending clams for a building that doesn’t drop or have any other use except be fun to have in town. Sad. At least the buildings for the characters were coin priced. But also I put everyone on day long tasks this morning. Nice. Great timing, eh? Ok, rant over. Lol.

I noticed that Human Rupert is also available for sale with this new update, but I’m SO close to having enough clams for Cleaveland.
Do we know if Human Rupert is here to stay, or if he’ll be back in another event some day? I don’t want to miss out on EVER having Human Rupert, but if I’ll have another chance at him some day, I’d really rather have Cleaveland right now and get Human Rupert later.

Phineas is timed. Maybe you prefer getting stuff from Rupert, Lois and Bonnie before launching it. I do not know if Barnaby is also timed.

OK, this, this is an illustration of a freemium game done right. Phineas and Barnaby both as Freemium, and Roid Stewie as a premium costume. The main part of the event available to everyone, if limited time, and a nice, nontrivial, but nonessential, costume for those who are willing to pay for it.
200 clams is a little steep for me so I think I’ll pass on Stewie’s costume, save my 270 clams for something else, but I think this is overall a good event update. As a pure-freemium player, obviously I would like everything to be available to me, but I think this is a good division to incentivise premium players to keep paying for the game to let us Freemium players keep enjoying it.

Dangit! I was clearing the initial fourth jogger after the quest starts and game crashed. Now it says there are no joggers for 4 hours and I was credited with none. 😡
