Hello There Clammers!
As I’m moderating the comments from earlier today (sorry we’re a little late on them today, hectic day) I’m seeing a bunch of you report crashing issues in your game since yesterday’s update.
First, know that you are not alone. There are lots of reports of this happening. Second, I know many of you can’t report this to TinyCo because your game keeps crashing. So…we’ve contacted them and they’re working on trying to determine what’s causing it. However, they need your help.
IF you’re experiencing crashing issues in your game please answer the following in the comments below:
1. What OS are you using? (Apple, Android, Amazon)
2. What device are you currently on? (iPhone, Galaxy S5, Kindle etc)
3. When did the crashing start? (for example after updating to 1.7.5)
If you could please provide that information ASAP so they can hopefully work out a solution before the update is supposed to hit later today, that would be great.

I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet Pro 12.2. The game crash every minute. I have to redo things over and over again because it didn’t save. It is getting to the point for me to do normal daily task stuff that would take 5 mins or less, takes 15 mins. It either just closes or locks up and I have to kill it. I just want to scream.

Have you tried some other methods to see if it would help the device? Each one responds differently to the game, so different methods may help lower or prevent the crashing. Also make sure you alert TinyCo.

I have tried all of those. This is my second Tablet (the other one lasted 3 weeks before it wouldn’t charge anymore) and it happened on both of them. Nothing else has crashed on it. There is an event going on and because everything is timed you get screwed. Alice Cooper has leveled up on the same level for me 7 times before it finally saved. I don’t know how many things I have missed because it didn’t save and when I brought it back up I forgot about it. I went to Tiny Co and all I could find was Q&A. I saw something about Lollipop crashing but that was it.

I have Lollipop on my Android tablets. They play the game just fine, but I limit the amount of items I have in there.
Have you stored a bunch of items from your game?

Sorry it has taken me this long to get back to you. I am in the middle of closing my video game store. I tried to store a bunch of my items and some of my people and I am still having a problem. I have a Galaxy Note Tablet which is running a little different from other tablets because I have the stylus. I finally found Tiny Co’s email address and sent them an email. Hopefully they will get back to me soon.

I have an Sprint LG 2 Android phone.
Family guy the quest for stuff stopped working after I got it updated to version 1.11.2.
It goes to the title screen and then it goes black. Please help me. It was my favorite app.

I am playing on a Galaxy S3 with Android OS. I am unsure of the exact date or if I had just updated or not, but it has been about 3 weeks since the game has been crashing any time I try to travel to the enterprise. I have since updated the game at least twice and the problem still persists. I emailed TinyCo via theemail link on googleplay and received an immediate response, which I suspect was automated. I promptly responded with my account number, as this is what the TinyCo email asked me to do. It has now been over 2 weeks since my first email and I have not received any further correspondence. I literally got to play maybe 2 days of the star trek event. This is quite frustrating that TinyCo has not responded since they said they would assist me shortly. I am contemplating giving the game a bad review on googleplay since the customer service is so crap and by the time I get this fixed, if I somehow do, I will have lost so much time in the event that it is pointless to even play.

Thanks! I haven’t gotten a response yet, but I see it’s like a messenger app built in. Props to TinyCo for that decision. That alone changes my mind about giving them a poor rating. It’s a good game, despite my frustration withbthis bug. I should just reinstall but it is a pain since I don’t have wifi at home.

I finally received a response. The response via email just said to get update 1.7.8 and this should fix most crash errors if that is an issue. Not only did I install that update about a week ago, but I also explained my problem in detail. So it would appear that they did not actually read my email and just gave a general response. The response in-game just asked if I was still experiencing the issue, and if so to respond in detail with what the issue is. Again I had already explained it in detail but reiterated in my response. I am again highly disappointed in their customer service. It has now been a month that I have been having a problem and theie replies are far from timely or helpful.

Remember that some responses are automated and triggered by keywords or when there is an extreme volume of messages coming in. (Very common in many businesses). Many times people will flood them with questions as they are getting used to the game, though most answers are within the game. Making it take up a ton of time for those they really need it. So they need to have a way to make sure all still in tech queue actually need the help… so yes, please respond back that their suggestion did not resolve the issue and you need further help

Both times I asked about receiving in-game xompensation to help me catch up, as I have lostover a month of playtime dueto their untimely responses,I dodnot receivea response. I do not think it unreasonable for me to ask for such. Anyway, at least the game is working finenow. Though, I would suggest to anyoneelaehaving issues to make sure your game is linked to facebook or google playandthen reinstall, lest youendul in the same situation as me andlosea bunch of opportunityin-game.It is quite disappointing thatthey would not compensate me for such an inconvenience. I’m not asking for real-lifecompensation, merely something to help me catch up since I have lostall thistime dueto no fault of mine andentirelytheirs.

I am glad that you got your game back. As for time without… that is one I am not sure their policies on. All I can suggest is maybe wait, than send another message to them kindly and specifically explaining what caused you to be down. Ask if there is anything within their power they can do to help. And see what happens. 😉

Crashes have been a minor issue since first starting game. However they’ve gotten progressively worse since Pawtucket Brewery quest started and since starting Star Trek TNG quests have become constant. Sometimes 3 times or more on a single round of finishing/starting character tasks and collecting $ & xp. I regularly restart device and clear memory before starting the game. I am not a newbie, maxed game at level 50 and by the time Tiny Co added to level 60 was at 59 3/4 in saved xp, maxed at well over 60 by now and I spend no real life money on clams though I have seriously considered it! Hope this helps.

Android lollipop. lg g2. Game has always crashed frequently but since upgrading to lollipop the game has become unplayable. Crashes within 60 secon’s of launch. Crash seems to affect device memory. Wifi crashes sometimes after game crash. Need to reboot to correct.

I normally play on my android cell phone, HTC ONE VX, game has been occasionally crashing since the Valentines update on this device. Since then i always have to restart my phone after playing, HTC sense and Google services shut down while playing Family guy on this device.

Quit this game a little over a month ago. TinyCo can’t seem to get anything right on Lollipop versions of Android due to the file system change. None of my support tickets came back with any information of it being fixed and dropped 30 clams on me. From a person who has spent hundreds on this game. I’ve never felt better than after quitting. I saw this article pop up in my Google Now notifications and just sitting here scratching my head wonder why the rest of you put up with their crap. Anyways good luck.

My game crashes whenever I click on Nathan as well, but only on my android Samsung Galaxy note tablet after the new update… My iPhone 6 plus works perfectly fine though

I have been having the same crashing problem, and I realized it kept occurring when I tried to complete a specific task. I currently have Nathan Fillion in the Drunken Clam. If I complete the tasks for Bonnie and Bruce (also in the Drunken Clam), I don’t crash. I only crash when I tap to complete the task for Nathan Fillion.
I was able to finish all of my other tasks within Quahog. I closed out of the app, reopened it, and tried to complete Nathan Fillion’s task again, and once again, it crashed.
My devices are Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and NVIDIA Shield Tablet, both on the latest version.

My game started crashing on me when I downloaded android version 1.75 on my blackberry Z30. It specifically happens when I tap on a Tribble.

I got the last update at around the same time that Mayor West’s mansion finished building, so I’m not sure which caused it, but, on my Android, Galaxy Note 3, every time I scroll over towards the right side of my screen, where Mayor West’s mansion is, I get “Unfortunately, Family Guy Has Stopped Working.” I can barely do anything in town, now, because, every time I click on a character or building that happens to be on that side of the screen, the game immediately crashes. However, it never crashes on the Enterprise!

Android version 4..4.2, Samsung Galaxy S3 tablet (SM-T210R). Crash happens mostly when doing ANYTHING involving the Griffin residence (picking a character action that makes them go there, clearing a character done with an action there, etc). This is instant crash every time.
Random crashes when collection coins/xp from the other buildings. Been trying to avoid Griffin residence (going right to Enterprise to get Tribbles and such).

I hate to post it, but my progress has been great! Except im still short of starfleet lvl 4. I loaded up on transporter energy wuth the room swap, got klingon Chris 2 days ago, and just now got my last chocolates for troi.
However i wanted to point out that i tried to buy an extra starfleet statue and a second hawt tea building for the xp but it seems like the xp made no difference. Can you only get the xp to count once for replicated items? I swear twice i collected maybe 6 xp from tasks and i noticed the meter go up. I got 150 from replicator items and it didnt go up at all.

It is only visual that is seems it may not move, but as long as it is flashing when you get the item… it is moving.
