During Phase 3 several questlines will popup in order to help you understand the event ahead, and prepare our Tiny Quahogs for travel to the Enterprise! Working your way through these questlines will help you earn more Dilithium Crystals and XP to help you better move through the event, and buy Enterprise items!

Yes. Only one costume at a time can be created in Al’s at a time. To avoid a game crash and lock out, all other Costumes will go into limbo until you complete the timer build and tap the Check mark at Al’s

I am on A Ship Without Picard part 3 in which I have to earn a synthesizer ore, and I can’t make it happen! I am supposed to hit the small, fast asteroids, right? I have hit them more than once but no synthesizer ore drops. Do I need to hit one with the ship at the same time? And I can’t earn synthesizer ore from a character? Has to come from phaser battle? This is so frustrating. I did read the post about the phaser battles, but wonder if something changed.

So I did the upgrade to warp core level 4 but no new quests. This means you must have to be at a certain point in the quest line. I’m on a ship without picard pt 6, endless battle part 3, lois to the bridge pt 1, come to your senses pt 5, wise counsel pt 1,blind leading the blind Pt 1 , taking command pt 3, all the way bare pt 2. Still waiting to get lois and loctutus. I feel so lost. Lol

That is completely up to you. I do not know if it would help or not, but you can wait and see what we post as far as details and then determine if you need to or not. 🙂

I’m waiting, but then again I’m only on the Phase 2 questline, I guess. Didn’t realize until I looked through previous posts. Wow, guess I have more catching up than I thought!
I do like being able to find out what’s all going to happen though, and who to put on what task based on where I am in the questline, so I can try to catch up. lol.

Upgrade as soon as you can, you can start off collecting stuff for characters etc… there is no benefit of waiting. I’ve got Herbert/Joe who was doing nothing before collecting stuff to unlock characters in phase 4, which I’m not at in terms of missions.

Used clams to unlock Locutus, only took 30, so I figured it was worth it. Now just have all of my characters doing short tasks so they’ll be free in a few hours when the next phase hits. Can’t wait!

To date, the ONLY requirements to Upgrade Warp Core is Starfleet XP. Outside that, questlines will just hold up basic progress of Characters.

They should really add a task or a planet to visit for felecium and laser pointers. I have stopped doing quests. All possible characters are on endless phaser energy quests and Chris and Quagmire are constantly gathering felecium and laser pointers. I’m getting about 2 felecium a day, meaning I’ll need 4 more days for Lois and 1 laser pointer per day, so 17 days left for Locutus. I know it’s not supposed to be easy, but having to stop playing any of the quests to grind so I can have a chance of unlocking the characters by the time the event ends is getting ridiculous.

Is it me or the premium characters you buy for this event almost don’t help at all. I bought both worf and guinan(sp?) and I am way behind in unlocking picard and louis outfit. I mean why spend money on this if it’s not going to help….

Yes they are pretty bad. They aren’t crap, but they are far worse use than premium event characters in the past. Think of how awesome John McClaine was for the Christmas event, etc.
#1 – premium characters are uselss after the event, we’re pretty much used to that, but they should be awesome for the few weeks they do something. That means 100% drops on all items to me.
#2 – they should ease the biggest pains in the *** to players, to incentivize us to buy them, and then be grateful that we did afterwards. That means Warf should have dropped chocolate, Guinan should have dropped laser pointers. Sure they help with borgs/phaser energy but other characters also do and at the same drop rate, plus those haven’t been were we needed the additional help anywa.

I’m getting nervous and maybe you can set me straight. The info says we have to “unlock” star fleet lois and Locutus by the time the event updates on Thursday or we loose them. Does this mean if I’m still scrambling for lasers and ferinium I’ll be out of luck since they’re still locked? I really don’t want to spend clams to get them but I assume they’ll be integral to future questlines.

No the info on the event says if lois and Locutus aren’t unlocked by Thursday they disappear from the game. I’m hoping they’re referring to unlocking the bridge. I’ve still got plenty of lasers to get still.

Please help me understand room swapping. I currently have all of my room slots filled. Suppose I click on Riker’s Quarters and select “change room.” If I build, say, a second weapons locker, then after six hours, Weapons Locker 2 goes into that spot (and ideally drops a phaser energy), and Riker’s Quarters goes to my inventory. Correct so far?
Then, after I collect the phaser energy from Weapons Locker 2, I exchange that for Riker’s Quarters in my inventory? On the thinking that when Riker’s Quarters rebuilds, it will drop a duct tape? How do I select Riker’s Quarters back out of my inventory? Do I do it via the “change room” button on what would then be Weapons Locker 2? Or do I select Riker’s Quarters out of my inventory and somehow direct it where to rebuild?
Assuming I have this right, are we comfortable that this constitutes a strategy, as opposed to a cheat? It seems fine with me, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks!

You pretty much got it, yes. Many will have two spots that they will keep using so they are building and collecting on both at the same time. But how you do it is up to you. 😉

For me quagmire no longer shows up on the ship, and since then he has stopped dropping the laser pointers. Is there anyway to get him back on the ship doing this?

So if I didn’t unlock Klingon Chris does that mean I can’t start collecting for Louis? And if that’s true, does that mean we have to finish creating Louis new skin before having the option to start collecting for Quagmires? Ugh…I really hope not. This phase is almost over and I’m still missing half of the feliciums and a quarter of the laser pointers.

If the Character is there, you can collect items for them no matter what. The questline may hold up other progressions, but just the main one… not side ones.

If you want to get to Level 6, craft the Casket Ejector. It yielded enough Star Fleet XP to get from 3 bars on Level 5 to 2 bars on Level 6!!

It would be really great if TinyCo could make the Tribbles pop out a laser pointer or a Felicium bag every once in while instead of just Dilithium Crystals (and the extremely rare clam). I’ve got over 23,000 Dilithium Crystals but still 13 Felicium bags short for Lois and 12 Laser Pointers short for Locutus. Or at least let us build more than two Weapons Locker rooms.
I normally buy the premium buildings to get the items quicker, but this time I decided to save my clams and, wow does it show.

Space groceries are uncommon?? In four days I haven’t gotten one, even with room swapping! Everone is complaining about laser pointers, I’ve had no problem with them! So glad to see that clearing Borgs may drop groceries, I just started that questline. It seems the leveling up requirements may have dropped? Since the start I’ve been about two days behind for leveling up, but now I’m already on 6. Very excited!

I still need 14 Felicium for Lois and 19 Laser pointers for Locutus. Hoping that Chris and Quagmire aren’t needed for anything in the next update tomorrow as I’ll still need them for this. Shooting PeterCraft every chance I get but it’s slow going. Hopefully I’ll get on a lucky streak.

Here’s some useful tips for you guys. Don’t panic too much about unlocking a character. You can still progress through the game as long as you get you star fleet level up enough to keep upgrading the warp core. The best way for this is to craft the items. Send your characters on shorter tasks.(peters new 1 hour task is a god send). Ignore the long tasks if they are not needed right now. Also for a guarntee drop on TE, SO,PE etc the room swap is a no brainer yes some rooms take 10 hours to build but that’s a 100% drop rate for 2 at a time rather then take a chance in 2 every 6 hours. Just make sure you don’t Rush the build with clams as this overrides the drop and you get nothing. As for laser pointers and felicium I had Chris on his task non stop ignoring his quest and I managed to get all 25 with no help from clams. I got some to drop from the phaser shooting as well. I only need 6 more laser pointers. Just over 6 days at yielding about 10 phaser energy a day and quagmire showing off his manhood I don’t think its been really hard. Tedious but hey this is what the game is all about. Even if you don’t get them all before the next part hits. You have over 20 days to get them. Yes I admit this event has been the most challenging since I have been playing this game (NEARLY A YEAR. WHOOOI!!!). It is still as fun as ever. Who doesn’t love a challenge. Just keep playing. Don’t give up. I had a terrible time with the chocolate for troi. But tinyco made it easier to get them. Without the advice from these wonderful girls who run this site I would never have known go to ge as far as I have go in this game. Dont hate them for what they do. I hate seeing such horrible comments from people on here. BUNNY, ALYSSA. YOU ROCK!!! Keep the advice and hints and tips coming. I know they help me and they can help everyone else. Bring on next weeks challenges. I look forward to new planets,new stuff to collect and hopefully another Star Trek character to add to my collection. 😃😃

I’m so glad you pointed out that you can progress in the game without getting the characters. I am forever away from Locutus, and those little coke bags for Starfleet Lois – I have only one out of 25. But I can still “play through” and just do whatever I can with no money to buy stuff. I agree this blog is fantastic and would not even be as far as I am without it. The game is frustrating but fun!

I ask this, as I am curious if I am the only one still stuck at SXP 4.5ish…
No matter what I do, I feel it just sits there, sure I havent played as much the past two days, but I’d imagine I’d be closer to 5 than this. Only benefit to being behind, I get to know the important quests in advance. Downfall, I may not get all the characters, which makes me sad. I will HOPEULLY have Deanna Troi by tomorrow (4 more chocolates only! Woohoo!), if not tonight. Then to work on Lois and Locutus, which I’m not even halfway, or close to halfway done with.

Hello I don’t have any tasks labelled a ship without Picard and have no Borgs. I have troi and the costume for Chris. I do not have the warbird. Why did the mission disappear if I get the warbird will it complete that part of the task anyway? Thank you for your help

I didn’t feel as rushed this time, it didn’t seem like an impossible task from the beginning like the Phase 2 costs, but now just a day and a half left until the next part and I still haven’t unlocked either of the characters from Phase 3.
For Lois:
I have just 3 of 5 Space Groceries. I have defeated at least 15 Borg (still on the Borg Clearing Quest) and only got it to drop twice. It doesn’t help that Troi is the only one I have that can clear borg. The other one came from 1 of my 2 rooms, which has no problem dropping yellow cubes but hardly ever spawns groceries.
I have just 12 of 25 Felicium. There are only 2 ways to get it, and Chris’ action never drops it so I have only gotten it from space battles.
I did get all the Ear Pieces, but they all came from people doing actions in town. Not a single one dropped from any away team missions.
For Picard:
I have just 21 of 35 Laser Pointers. Quagmire has been doing his task non-stop, and some came from space battles. Of course there are only so many ways to get orange energy (one is Troi who has been busy with Borg), so it will still be some time before I can get enough.
I got all the other items though, I got enough Duct Tape from the rooms, and the Scap Metal from people’s actions in town. Then the Batteries all came from Bonnie, constantly making her do her task once an hour, it took a few days but she managed it. None dropped in any of my away missions.
Away Missions:
I was fortunate to get lucky there. It only took 3 tries to get the Romulan Warbird, and on my 2nd trip I actually wound up getting the costume for Herbert.
It looks like when Phase 3 starts I will probably be trying to unlock 4 different characters at the same time, which may be more difficult because I’m sure it will expect me to have Picard/Lois to get items for the next group.

So did anyone else actually complete that 14 hour limited time quest for 5 clams….? Unfortunately, Peter, Geordi, Mort and Riker were already doing tasks when it activated so by the time they finished, I decided to apparently start the peter part of teh quest and send him to Wai-Iota…WRONG CHOICE. Turns out his transport takes 8 hours, and I literally just started his portion about 5 minutes from this post and there’s only 6 hours left in the quest. So, logically speaking, I’m pretty sure I’m not going to waste about 8 clams to rush and just end up losing 3 clams in profits.

i did it, you don’t “technically” need to complete both right away. as soon as i sent my team for the 2nd mission, i got my reward. i of course still had to wait for the mission to end. but you get your clam reward between the two, not after both have completed. you still need to complete both within the time frame of course but i lucked out and everyone was free with i was given the opportunity…so i did the shorter mission first and then the 8hr one.

Ok, still new at this game. Totally dislike that I have borg but can’t kill them cause I don’t have troi, worf, or Vulcan quagmire. However now that quagmire isn’t busy, it still says I need worf and troi (troi will be free soonish) do i actually need to spend 225 clams to kill borg? Also I can’t figure out where I can see my inventory of all the “stuff” that I have earned (like crystals, carrots, transporter energy), is there no inventory list like there is for people and building and deco that haven’t been placed?

Chocolate drops have improved. Check the planet again.
As far as Materials… depends on what they’re for. If Phaser Energy, lower right icon of game. If Character, tap on their lock or go to Al’s. Other Materials you’ll see in the Transporter.

RNG (Random Number Generator) seems to hate me this time…. Felicium and Laser pointers seem to be much rarer than other rare items in the past.

So, there is something very weird with Starfleet Lois. She has an 1h task that gives 10 exp! the other 1h task gives 4 exp
unlock her was a real pain. but nothing compared to loctus. Still need 11 laser pointers.
Does anybody got that Herbert weird outfit?

I’m so sick of people making this assumption. We have NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING to do with the development of this game. We do not work for TinyCo, TinyCo does not pay us. We do this on our own. The fact that we have contacts with TinyCo DOES NOT mean that we work for them. This game and this site, cost us literally THOUSANDS of dollars to maintain. Thousands of dollars that come out of OUR pockets. So I honestly suggest you get your facts straight before you go around throwing accusations. And FINALLY…if you don’t like the game. STOP PLAYING IT. It’s honestly that simple. So simple a 4 year old can understand it. If something is making you unhappy, STOP DOING IT (as long as it’s not illegal).
You seriously need an attitude adjustment…or a lesson in class and manners. Just because this is the internet does NOT give you the right to be a class A jerk! Especially since things you say I know you wouldn’t have the guts to say to our face. So adjust it…or see your way out.

Does Starfleet Lois raise the possibility to get Herberts outfit?
None of the other three that I can send down to the planet raises his possibility at all, not a single pixel.
I have already tried to send them down 12 times in different combinations in case it was a visual glitch, but all I got was Crystals and Exp.

Laser pointers…. ughhhh!! Saved phaser energy for days, had 25, out of those 25 shots I got TWO laser pointers and ONE felicium. Tried all different types of shots, the Only 3 shots that paid off were hits to the ship Only, to the Body of the ship, head hits gave nothing. Combo ship/asteroid hits gave nothing. Even tried closing & reopening the game a few times between some shots.
At this point I have only 9 laser pointers… pathetic (I’m at 13 on felicium). I don’t care much about not getting/having Locutus, but without unlocking him you cannot advance for the next upgrade. This is going to leave myself and many others it seems completely dead in the water as far as advancing goes.
So hopefully something is done, and soon, for laser drops. If not, this event will be a wash for me…. bumming me out!

Ok, Bunny says we can still upgrade warp core without having Locutust unlocked. If that’s Indeed the case, I’m not quite as bummed. 🙂
But still…. Curse You Laser Pointers!! :p

yup…all you ever need to upgrade the warp core is a certain starfleet level and a certain amount of life support energy. click the next section and it shows you how much energy is needed, click on the warp core to see the starfleet level you’ll need. characters have no bearing on upgrading the warp core.

So you have to have Locutus in order to unlock the next phase on Thursday night? I’ll probably have the necessary Starfleet level, but I’m still about 14 laser pointers and 5 duct tape shy of unlocking him – to say nothing of the 12 Felicium baggies I still need for Lois. Only having one character for item gathering tasks is really getting frustrating.

So far NO character is required to be unlocked to proceed to the next Warp Core. As far as their questline use, that is different… but the ONLY requirements to Upgrade are to be on the right Starfleet Level

According to your walk through, Locutus MUST be unlocked in pt 8 of the quest, in order to advance to pt 9, which is to upgrade warp core… ughh.

It is just part of the Questline. Like I said, NO Characters have been required. It still unlocked without them just fine, just stalled on the questline. Once you got to that point, you were already there so it just auto checked off.

Ok, thanks Bunny, but this had me confused. The way I read it, you’ll need to be in pt 9 of the questline to upgrade. But I do kinda understand what you’re saying, which is that we Will be able to upgrade the warp core, just not complete that particular questline. Guess I’ll see what happens thursday. Still makes me nervous… lol 🙂

I know… it is NOT how the Events normally played out. We usually had to complete a questline too. I think they took that lock off due to they are well aware that most players are still working on Deanna or just getting here.

Bunny, now I see what some of the comments over the weekend were about! You have the patience of a saint! Thanks for all you do. I really look forward to the walkthroughs and hints. End of the day this is OUR Addicts Site, not TinyCo’s… so we will run it as we see fit to continue what we started out to do. We ran into something similar on the OTHER game…oddly this same time of year too. Same thing there. We had to get a bit stern to kick it back into place.
I still adore many of our readers and will do all I can to continue to help. When it’s no longer our vision or passion, we’ll shut it down.Hopefully that’s not for a long long time.

I’m curious if you ladies get paid at all from doing this, meaning is there nay kind of revenue stream for you keeping the site and everything else up? If not, is there a way to donate to the cause? I know, if it weren’t for this site, it would be much harder to figure things out on this game. I would certainly kick in a few bucks. It might not be much, but it would be something.
I’ve looked at other FG:TQFS sites, and they are just not as good as this one. Thanks for all you do. It is greatly appreciated. And if I didn’t live so far away, I would love to come to a meet and greet sometime.

What lil we get from here goes right back into the games. Big Events can easily use up 10-12,000 Clams to gain details. As it stands, we use our own money from jobs to help support the site and its costs.
As far as money from our readers, we would never ask you to give us any. We would prefer you Pay It Forward to somewhere in need. Like a neighbor, local homeless shelters, cancer research facilities, or other charities like St. Judes. 😉

Just unlocked Deanna.. Is anyone else finding this event to be a lot harder to keep up with upgrades than other past events.. Seems like i was ahead in the others but really behind in this one… Must have something to so with the 2 days I had to wait for the starship problem to be fixed lol. 🙂
Hopefully there’s not to many regular (who don’t purchase clams) players in the same boat…

Every event is different. This one is definitely more of a Challenge, but for me… it seems to get easier the more you unlock and the more you build.

I know some players are behind getting Deana and Klingon Chris. I haven’t had any problems receiving transporter energy or phaser energy. I went ahead and purchased the star fleet academy and the research center. Those are guaranteed drops and they are only a hundred clams. Its not that much. I also went ahead and got the observation deck and the red shirt doom room. I put in about twenty bucks. This game you will get out of it what you put into it. Including real money. I have never In the past spent money on this game so I basically have been a fremium player. If your getting stuck on quests and not receiving what you need just think about purchasing the buildings and rooms that have the guaranteed drops. This is how tinyco can make these awesome updates for us. Its a win- win. Your supporting the game while supporting yourself to move on in the game. Dont worry be happy 🙂

How do I get the borgs to drop faster? I’ve been stuck on the endless battle PT 3 because they are not appearing fast enough, I’ve only been able to clear 5 on the past few days

Every 2hrs or use the Clam Room and pop out an extra 2 every 2hrs too.

As long as it stays all in the Unlikely space, you should have an even chance of getting the rewards. I know thats been the case for me at least
