The ALWAYS drops on the Normal PeterCraft are not playing nice with those on Warp Core 4 (because that big fat meany head Shielded one wants to take all the glory… psssh), so please hang in there. SAVE YOUR PHASER ENERGY! Will Update with the fix when it is ready. 😉

Hey there Tribblemakers!
So a new 24 timed Character option has hit the game along with a new Premium Character and several Item Drop Changes…
More to come, but here are some basics.
First off, make sure you have the LATEST App Market Version of the game. Some of these changes may require you to restart your device to get them to go into “action”.
When you first go in the game, Peter will trigger a pop up for the New Character Costume for Klingon Meg Requirements. Just tap on the ! above Peter to get started.
If you already bought any of the Characters, like I did, they will be automatically checked off for you in the game. You essentially have 24hrs to buy all 3 Premium Characters to get Klingon Meg’s Costume for Free. 
Once you get them all within the allotted time, you will get a pop up from Peter completing the task and awarding Klingon Meg. 
You will then be taken to Al’s where it will take 10 mins to create her. (Side note: Remember, only ONE Costume can be created at a time. Due to this ALL other Costumes will lock out/disappear until you tap the check mark and complete the creation. So while you create Klingon Meg, Costumes like Mort and Herbert’s will disappear until you are done. )
More details separately, but here are some basics on the Premium Characters…
FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT HAVE MEG UNLOCKED IN YOUR GAME YET, THIS COSTUME WILL BE STORED IN “LIMBO” UNTIL YOU UNLOCK HER. IN CASE YOU WANT IT 🙂
FREE w/3 Below- Klingon Meg: Comes with questline (Forhead for Days), Comes with 6 tasks, 2 Visual tasks, No drops as of yet but can be used in Transporter Missions.
260 Clams- Worf: Comes with questline (Bat’Leth Out Of Hell), Voice by Actor, Comes with 7 tasks, 3 Visual tasks, 1 Always drop Transporter Energy
200 Clams- Guinan: Comes with questline (Guinan’s Guide to the Galaxy), Voiced by Actress, Comes with 5 tasks, 2 Visual tasks, 1 Always drop Phaser Energy
200 Clams- Q: Comes with questline (Q! That’s Who!), Voiced by Actor, Comes with 7 tasks, 3 Visual tasks, 1 task to drop Space Condoms, 1 Task to Clear Red Shirts, Roams Enterprise

Do we know at all yet if the Klingon Meg costume is actually timed as a prize, or if this is like buying Worf? Is the prize simply set up as a timer so the quest will disappear if you have no interest, instead of staying in your list until the end of the event? Or is it truly that we have 24 hours to decide if we’ll take the deal?

I only ask in hopes that it’s like Worf. I plan on buying the clams I need to purchase Q, since I bought Worf and Guinan, however I may not have the money to do so in the short notice of 24 hours… If I still buy Q in, say, 48 hours, will I still get Meg’s costume?

Gah, i had 26 phaser energy and tried to verify drop rates, so I used them all……. even with screenshots before and after.
But that was 1-2 hours before the update 😦
Lesson learned, better wait like 3 days after a new phase, who knows what other updates will bring 😦

Hitting the shielded Petercraft is hard. I wouldn’t mind if you can hit it once, then after moving off-screen you can hit it again. At this rate I will be stuck on the main quest until phase 5 hits.
I hope you ladies will be putting up some form of strategy for this soon.

Wait for it to run diagonal across the screen for the most screen time to shoot it. Otherwise top to bottom or bottom to top in the center.

Thanks for this. I tried the top to bottom but it moves to quick. At least diagonally I have more screen to work with. I finally got one condom drop after depleting all my energy. *sigh* Time to store up more phaser energy. On the plus side, I finally got Lois unlocked😊

Meg has no drop tasks…would’ve been nice if she did as its gonna take forever to get hyposprays for Beverly crush….need 55 and can only get from the medical room and clearing worgs, but of course….the stupid energy drops instead of the item needed to unlock her! ajhhhh

Nice update! I actually think it is more worthy to buy characters than it is to buy buildings.
I had all the premium star trek characters already, and ok, it is another 200 clams to spend, but it is Q, and am glad Meg is not left out and that she gets to board the Enterprise!
But I also have to agree with what Ren wrote earlier. Not only has it been a year, but Tiny Co knows that the drop rate is always super tight.
If it wasn’t for Alissa’s and Bunny’s polls, they would not change anything.
Can they not learn?
On the other hand, I have to give Tiny Co praise for its events. They are imaginative and fun (when not frustrating).
Let’s just keep a nice healthy balance between fun and frustration, ok, Petit Co?

To be fair to tinyco, everything in game is programmed in waay far ahead of time – this events info was already set in the game almost 4 months before hand. That means they can’t anticipate how drops will really go, or how play styles will effect drop rates until the game goes live.
However, tinyco is very good at listening to feedback from appropriate sources, & they do tend to be one of the few companies that are willing to “hotfix” problems in the games they make for us.
Just be sure to always send an ingame message if you think something is genuinely unfair so the tinyco responders know what possible problems they need to fix are. (if people always think someone else is doing it, it just never gets enough attention to fix it)

I havent bought premium characters since Comic Con and I havent had a problem with finishing any Event since Full Moon. So I think TinyCo have learned and I think their events have got better I just think they grossly overestimated the Planet and room drop rates.
I bought the premium characters this event and even then I didnt think i’d make it, so I cant even say they were doing it to milk money, it looks like they made a mistake and thanks to The polls of FamilyGuyAddicts and the (nice, not the abusive ones) complaints on their contact us, I think they sorted it out and have done well.
Though they still seemingly havent learned that people want more characters involved, I honestly think this was a one off mistake as their events have been getting better and better.

Got Q this morning as soon as i saw him. One of my favorite characters from ST TNG – and he is helping with condoms. XD

Glad for the changes, but the next thing they need to do fast is to remove the crystal reward from the vulcan reward list.
There is no reason to have a 100 clam purchase option to have a ‘boobie prize’ that costs 4 rare drops to take a shot at. Its a slap in the face.

Well I am sure gonna miss not getting Meg’s outfit 😦 at least it isn’t a major bust to me. I could not justify spending the clams for characters that didn’t (since changed) drop always so I just went with the much cheaper always drop buildings. And considering the only thing I’ve spent clams on in the past year was when Consuela was on sale, I think the 2oo clams I dropped for the 2 buildings where an investment to my hopes of actually finishing the event with everything freemium that’s available!

Not drop anything yet – she just might be DC & exp atm, but doing her quest line may allow her to collect items (as is the case sometimes), or she just doesn’t drop anything yet because she will help for the next week (so the item or items aren’t visible yet because they’re not in game yet)
While she won’t be much use after the event, tinyco has never NOT used a character / costume during the event it came from (even if some are underutilized in their respective events)

Picked up Meg on the deal..IF they wanted to make Meg available later for unlocking for those who didn’t, I would not care. It doesn’t affect my game and I still will have reaped the benefits early with pain free unlocking. I can’t speak for others…

eh, I figure that anything is up for grabs on the yearly ‘best of’ sale. I know then only did it once, but I loved it, and I’d be happy if they did it yearly.
Its expensive, but lets people ‘catch up’ or get the one that got away.
I didn’t mind them prize boxing stuff, which are usually more expensive overall than the initial buy anyway. Usually buying the premium character is also the difference between having to micro-manage an event and just having fun which is worth the any discrepancy (benefits not so much this event unfortunately)

Since Q entered the game I have regular startup crashes on Andriod 4.4. Already sent a report to TinyCo. At least getting into the game after 2-3 tries, sometimes clearing cache is needed. App just terminates without error or Android “App halted” system message.

I’m currently Starfleet level 6, and warp core level 4 but I’ve held off unlocking sick bay until after I get Locutus.
That means the shielded Petercraft isn’t appearing in the phaser battles yet, so I can focus on the normal one to get laser pointers (I have unlocked Starfleet Lois).
It looks like the laser pointer drop rate glitch is affecting the phaser battles even if you don’t have the second Petercraft in there yet, since I’m not getting them every time… I still have 12 to get and only 13 phaser energy… If the drop was really every time I’d be OK!
Oh, and on the locked Locutus when you tap the laser pointer icon it now says they drop with two hits on the shielded Petercraft.

They know the pop up is wrong. It’s visual. So they’re not gonna jump on it. More focused making it work. Visual comes last.

Just my suggestion, open the location up. Unless you could get the ship part done in a day or so. If you open the new area, you would at least be able to have your other toons start collecting the other materials. Rather than “standing there and doing nothing.”

The normal Petercraft drops were sorted so I finally unlocked Locutus so I’ve now got sick bay. And the only folk ‘doing nothing’ were those who weren’t working on items or tasks. I keep ’em occupied all the time!

Good to see the update etc is on the way! Thank you for the update on these(Ironically – an update on an update) i’ll just keep plugging away quietly at this event and see what happens or unlocks for me however this event theme is not for me. The completionist in me is going to hate having the facespace gaps, uncomplete sets and missing free clams but my wallet now loves me after not buying anything premium for this unlike the other events and characters they’ve released, thankfully they haven’t added any random celebs to it or my clams may be in peril! Keep up the good work ladies!

So the answer is if I have this right, pay us more for clams to get Q or pay us more for clams for Vulcan, or if you are realy quick with the Peter craft and never miss, you only have to collect 84 phaser diamonds to hit it 84 times to get the 42 condoms. So this is helping.

So I bought Q, thinking he would help me get get space condoms, as I currently have O, but it won’t let me do the task that drops condoms because I don’t have red shirts!!!! I am a long way off from having red shirts!!! Grrrrrrrrr

Now the condom task is there again and now shows yes, for level two and I was able to do it, but before I left for work this morning, the condomn task was not there just the task which drops books. SMH. Anway IDC just thrilled Q is helping. Love the summon Mariachi task btw lol. Am not regretting my purchase on Q. 🙂

2 things on that – 1, you need to have him leveled up to even have the skill available, & 2, you also need to get far enough in the quest line to make them appear. If both of those conditions aren’t meet yet, then even though you have part of it ready to begin, you still can’t continue until all flags are passed for it.
For that matter, I thought originally the quest line would require unlocking Beverly crusher before you could see any red shirts, so you might need her done as well

Hi, Bunny, another thing. When you click the Borgs it shows the Quagmire, Troi and Worf will give you a chance of hypnospray and the green cube. BUT both characters when you click on them only show and give out the green cube. As, I said before I update just a few hours ago. Matter fact 2nd time for me today on android. Worf has consecutively dropped cube and Bonnie just gave me one, too. If they drop both shouldn’t they showing the “box” indicating more that they can drop more than 1 item? Have 47 green cubes and only 12 hypnosprays.

Normally … yes, but some only show one item. It is only visual right now, so not top priority. I have confirmed ALL of them drop it though. Verified through MANY Borg. MANY. 😉

Hooray!!! Loving the update!!! Bought Q as soon as I read this and now crafting Meg’s new costume. Was getting nervous I was falling behind but with these changes I should be back on schedule. That’s why I love this game because it’s so fluid and just when you think something may be to difficult adjustments are made. Thanks to all who had input for the changes. Happy gaming everyone😊

Just curious to know if Q will get a facespace page. I bought him, sent him on a mission & then lost him in town. Went looking to use the facespace location trick & there was no page for him that I found. Guess I’ll find him in a few hours when he’s finished.

It took a couple weeks, but it appears tinyco did finally listen to our ranting about the improbability of some of these drop rates. While still reeeeally high numbers on a lot of unlocks, at least if these changes are accurate then they are only a grind, instead of nearly impossible (re: Vulcan quagmire condoms).

I initially had no desire to buy Whoopi Goldberg, but since I will likely be uninstalling this game after the event finished, I figured I’d drop my accumulated clams on this “deal.”
It should also be noted that Klingon Meg has ZERO tasks that drop items at this time.

Agreed, these changes were absolutely necessary for a freemium player. I’m a premium player and this event pushed me over edge, much like the TSTO prize wheel. I’ve purchased the dilithium lab and Worf and I feel like I wasted my money as they have provided little to no benefit. I’ll probably keep playing, but I cant see myself spending any more money in it. I was buying at least 20 bucks of clams for each major event, but beyween this event and the Spanish Soap Opera event, I’m over it.

Well that’s disappointing. I was really looking forward to the Klingon Meg skin, but there is no freaking way I’m dropping another 400 clams on this event.
Also, the laser pointers are NOT an always drop from the shielded Petercraft. I just killed one (which took 3 shots instead of 2 because of their poor targeting detection) and got a condom instead of a laser pointer.

Sorry. I hopped into the game, saw that it said they had been switched to shielded, got the results I got, and hopped in to add a comment. I skimmed the post, scrolled down to the bottom and saw a comment that shielded craft had been switched to always drops, put 2 and 2 together and got 5.
Still not happy about Meg’s skin, though. I bet it was supposed to be the reward for the Klingon week quest that they scrapped, because she was originally in the Trekkie Griffins set. They pulled her from the set and then made her a payout for premium purchases. Not cool. It’s doubly disappointing because that’s the skin I was looking forward to most, after Starfleet Lois (Troi’s uniform from the pilot… how awesome is that?).

Yes. Still two hits for the big guy. But at least a guarantee drop. Do this… watch it… Wait for it to come across diagonally or from center straight up or down. Then hit it and hit it fast. Move target if you have too. It is a lil more Challenging, but can be done.

Regardless, I’m having a major issue to getting 2 successful hits as it moves too fast and at times the screen freezes for a couple of seconds. This is the only thing IMO that tinyco should still fix. One would need a minimum of 84 phaser energy to get all 42 space condoms, that is, if all were used on successful hits on the shielded craft or else that means more phaser energy. Tinyco should revert it back to one hit to blow up the shielded like the normal one.

Keep in mind, some things they won’t respond to. If it is a mass issue and all players impacted, they share the response by in game pop ups, in game FAQ changes, posting to Facebook & Twitter, and having us spread the word. If it is a one on one issue, they do get a lil backlogged now and then. Suggestions, they rarely respond to… but they do listen as you can see with this. So when I ask you to relay the information, I am asking you share your experience in the game (bad or good) with them. That way they can personally see each player impacted by something. Again, they may not reply as it is just relaying info… but it is being seen.

I’m also having the delay issue. It’s kept me from two hits at least 5 times. At first I thought my bandwidth was low (my cable company is bad about applying QOS, although they deny it) but, after checking my speed, I think it’s the game.

The 4 phaser shots that gave me nothing again were on the regular PeterCraft, not the shielded one. I did restart the app before trying, I’m on android device. I will wait for official Bunny clarification before trying again for the laser pointers, out of phaser energy again anyway for now.

As for the Player ID… yes. Menu, Account, long # lower right. Save it somewhere as it comes in handy when an issue hits and you can’t get in your game.

Well that update has appeased the premium masses what about the freemium players?
It still doesn’t look like TC have helped us much as the shielded petercraft is still impossible to hit twice in quick succession and I’ve wasted enough phaser energy on it with nothing but disappointment!
Can’t another character drop Vulcan Quagmire stuff instead of it being premium all the time!!!!!
Getting fed up of this event and have nothing to do in Quahog either!

I just updated through Google Play and now get a Consuela Data Error, that’s a pain.
Before I updated Klingon Meg was creating, I had just sent everyone on their overnight tasks and the game crashed when going back to Quahog. Maybe some combination of all that caused the problem. Tried restarting the phone, it didn’t help. It’s very late/early here, I’ll have another look when I wake up.
Great news on the changes, credit to TinyCo, and the people that may have helped give them a little nudge 😉

I got back into the game after clearing the cache and whatever “clear data” does. Some buildings were replaced with small grey cubes and tapping characters in Quahog could cause a game freeze. I guess something got corrupted.
A reinstall fixed everything and has freed up quite a bit of space on my SD card.

Thank you Tiny Co! Once again they have shown that they do listen to us. Thanks to these changes I’m now in a much better position then I was before, just got a bunch of Space Condoms for Quagmire from the space battle, and I had just enough Clams to buy Q too, so I also have Klingon Meg, and I noticed they’ve removed her costume from the Star Trek Griffins costume set, so that those who don’t want to buy the Premium characters can still get the 25 Clams.

Yeah, I just noticed that they removed her from the set, which was a good thing because I was about to go to WTD and rant! *chuckle*
Ya gotta love it though, their response to people being angry about the “money grab” feel off this event was to create a situation where if you pay $20 bucks on 3 characters, you get a “free” Meg skin!

You do realize that things like sales were already planned out months ago as all the graphics, pop ups, and time triggers have to be planned with the event and have nothing to do with players response? They’re gonna proceed with the game releases as planned, not just halt it. Their response is in the changes. THOSE were not planned 😉

Nope, I had no idea, especially since Meg was included in the facebook family group. *chuckle* I just started playing this game during the Valentine’s event, so my frame of reference on how they act and react is limited. The only certainty I have is that you and Alissa have the patience of saints! *grin*

Phew! Thanks for the note about other costumes disappearing while you create one. Nearly had heart failure when I thought I’d missed an unpublicised timed quest for Herbert! Thank goodness for you ladies! Hopped on here and crisis averted!

Restarted my iPad and still no update. Anyone have any suggestions? I did see Q and the premium characters say always drop but no Meg task.

There is no ! Peter is currently on the sneak into forbidden areas task. But I restarted my iPad and installed the latest iPad update to see if that could be causing the problem but no luck.

I already had Worf and Guinan… I logged in and saw I could buy Q before reading this email… So I bought him but was never given an option for Klingon Meg. I have restarted it twice. The first time it gave me an option to buy Q but I have already bought him so I didn’t. Restarted it again and got nothing.

So the only way to get Klingon Meg is to buy all 3 premium characters? That’s pretty lame. Also lame is the only additional way to get the space condoms being buying one of those premium characters.
Still, it’s going to be a loooong road to get enough phaser energy to be able to get them even with the guaranteed drops. And I noticed Klingon Meg has now been removed from the Trekkie Griffins group. So with those two things I guess it’s not all awful. It’s a very cool event overall, it’s just such a shame they are souring it with it also being the most money-grubbing one yet.

I do not see it as money grubbing. This is a HUGE franchise and probably their most costly yet as it is NOT owned by FOX. CBS owns it… so they had to go REALLY far outside negotiations to get it. I get there is MORE Premium stuff, but I also get why. They are still working at making it fair to players on both sides. 😉

This certainly makes this week’s tasks entirely achievable, especially if you get Q, which I did. The always drop on the peter craft is nice too. I snagged 2 condoms using only 5 phaser crystals. I still won’t be getting any sleep this weekend but at least I won’t be going to bed in a foul mood.

I hope all you haters over the last couple of weeks are eating your humble pie. I think a massive apology is in order for bunny and Alissa. Girls you are amazing at what you do. Tinyco you are the best. Got Q straight away. Already had the other characters and now clingon Meg. Space condoms an always drop will make getting quagmire Vulcan easy.

& 1 irate chap putting a bottle of white liquid on the doorstep…..
I got annoyed zapping me phaser and chucked me iPad across the room, it smashed the ceiling light, knocked the TV off its stand, bounced off thru the window and smacked the milkman in the face 😦
