Hello There Space Clammers!
Star Trek has taken over Quahog! A Starfleet Shuttle has conveniently crashed in Quahog and apparently someone decided that the future of the Galaxy should rest on Peter’s shoulders. (cause that sounds like a smart idea!) It’s your mission to help Peter save the Galaxy, after all it’d be a pretty boring game if he did it by himself!
Along the way you’ll encounter characters from the USS Enterprise that you’ll have to save (you know save by collecting STUFF). The Sixth Star Trek character you’ll encounter in the event is Data, the second officer and chief operating officer on the Enterprise…you know despite being an Android.
Let’s take a look at this doc and just what happens when you unlock him in your Quahog!
As mentioned above Data is an Android and you’ll find him in The Holodeck. As with (almost) all characters in TQFS in order to unlock him you’ll have to collect STUFF.
Here’s a look at what you’ll need to make Data a permanent addition to your Quahog:
4000 Dilithium Crystals
25 Emotion Chip (Always): Blow up Romulan Warbirds
28 Anti-Virus Softwars (Rare): Starfleet Peter Press All the Buttons OR Herbert Take Gross Old Man Bath OR Make Crusher Crush It
20 Cat Food (Common): Borg Cube 63697 OR Riker Seduce Alien Ladies OR Locutus Drink Borg Tea Additionally Patrick Stewart, actually Patrick Stewart from Comic Con Event, will have a task to drop Cat Food.
50 Floppy Disk (Common): Clear Borg OR Spock Do a Vulcan Nerve Pinch.
Data is the 5th, and final character you’ll unlock on The Next Generation Character Set and he is required to complete the Week 5 questlines. You can view his questlines here.
Note: After you’ve unlocked Data you should earn 50 FREE Clams! Freakin’ Sweet!
Data also comes with a complete set of tasks! Tasks that will help you earn more Dilithium Crystals, the event currency for Star Trek.

I got all characters I wanted. All five next generation Star Trek characters. The outfits for Peter, Lois, Chris, Stewie, Quagmire, & Patrick Stewert. I had roughly 14hrs before the event ended but I got everyone I wanted. And I can’t wait for the next event to start.

All I need is 7 anti-virus softwares and 3 floppy discs and I have Data. Only need 1 space condom to get Vulcan Quagmire. Already have Talosian Stewie and all the other next generation characters. But I don’t have the original characters or Worf. I probably won’t have time to do Data or Vulcan Quagmire’s quest lines. Since the event ends Thursday at 5:00 central time. I just worried about collecting the items for now and if I have time left before it ends. I’ll do the quest lines. Or and i’m also currently fighting Laser Borg Bertram its health is only at seven. One question does the Bladed Borg Bertram become unlock after you beat the Laser Borg Bertram. Thanks.

Where are you on the Warp Cores? You will only get the additional two unlocked once you upgrade. If you are upgraded, then yes… as you defeat one it moves to the next Borg up til you are at the top. If you loose, then it restarts at the bottom.

The emotion chips are supposed to always drop but I have shot around 6 romulan war birds and only have 2 chips?? I have contacted support in game but had no response.

Your post says that you need to hit Romulan War Birds to get Emotion Chips for Data, but my game says to hit Borg Cubes, which aren’t dropping them, at least not for me. Should I be hitting the War Birds instead?

What Phase of the Event are you in? If you have the cube… it should be dropping Oxygen tanks. What is the Warbird dropping instead of chips?

Whew the War Bird started dropping memory again, so it just seems to be a typo mistake telling me to destroy Borg Cubes. I already have all the oxygen tanks, and am level 10. All I need is Data, and to craft Picard and Kirk.

Does anyone know how many clams it takes if there is none of the items acquired? It’s getting to be the time where I can’t get all of the stuff, and I’m only going to unlock the holo deck at the last moment. I need to buy data without getting items.

Add it up. Look at each item individually and add up how much it will cost you to unlock him. Keep in mind that if you have not tapped that check mark on the Dilithium, you will need to account for that too.

2 days and absolutely no anti-virus drops. I’ve had all 3 characters do nothing but try to get them. I need 13, and at this rate I’ll never unlock him without wasting clans. Slightly annoyed.

Ditto on the lack of drops for anti virus software none from Herbert in 3+ days, 2 or 3 from others. Bought both Spock and Kahn, got Scotty and no help there for this task. Sent in game message to tinyco, but last message 4 days ago still unanswered. Tried force quitting game, rebooting android tablet, no luck. Hope new poll will force tinyco to help out, how many hours of questions does data have total once unlocked, running out of time!

32 hours for the hard data task if my math is right per https://familyguyaddicts.com/2015/04/20/quahog-star-trek-walkthroughs-phase-5/ and I have characters free and ready to go. Only at 16 antivirus, but got 1 or 2 drops out of Herbert. 33 dark matter so still a long way from kirk, and need to research his quest lines.

Didn’t see it in the comments after a cursory look, but the new phaser battle ship (borg cube) takes 3 hits to destroy; if you’re on phase 6, you’ll get borg cubes and romulan warbirds. The list for Captain Pike Joe says shielded petercrafts drop oxygen tanks, but the borg cube drops em for me (5 dropped from 1 kill, don’t have the energy to try again as I wasted 2 shots on the first one)

Soo… Does unlocking Edo Herbert give you a bunch of Starfleet xp? Otherwise, I think I just had a ‘good’ glitch happen to me. I was about 2/3 of the way to lv10, unlocked Data about 20-30 minutes ago, and just tapped on Harrington’s to finish completing the transition to Edo Herbert, and while tapping all the buildings in Quahog prior to going to the Enterprise, I hear a few notification sounds, and get a message saying my Starfleet level is now 10. I’m now sitting at roughly 1/3 of the way toward lv11, so it must have been a ton of xp. The only new quests I received were the one for the new Starfleet main questline, and a subquest line for Talosian Stewie (unless unlocking that questline gives xp?).
Certainly not complaining, since Bertram will be knocked out in 30 minutes and it’ll be great to start in on the bladed borg version. But I’m still wondering what exactly caused that massive push of xp. Anyone else have this happen, or know why?

After reading the comments about data’s cheapness to finish I went and looked at what I needed. Still needed 6 data chips @ 6 clams each then I looked at the unlock button and it said I could unlock him for only 18 clams! Awesome sauce! So knowing I would get a 50 clam bonus for getting him I of course paid the 18 clams 🙂

Just a heads up, I still need 2 softwares for data, which cost 6 clams a piece if you want to buy them, but when I clicked on the lock to see the total to unlock him, it was only 6 clams. So its kind of a buy one get one deal. I’m waiting to see if any of my remaining characters drop one from their current attempt, but its a good deal if you’re close!

I’m still locked out of the game – have been for a week now while TinyCo tries to fix the problem – last update locked out everyone running IOS6. Although they are apologetic and polite, they still haven’t solved the problem, and even if they do (I hope) I’m now a week behind, so there is no way for me to finish this event with all of possible goodies. So, I’ve asked that they either compensate me for all the money spent on the Star Trek event; or, what I would really like, is once the problem is solved, that I be allowed extended days and deadlines equal to the number of days that I lost for the quests and battling bertram.

so I’ve been working on collecting the Anti-Virus Software and this morning had a little over half of what i needed… every time i checked to see how much it would cost in clams to finish him it was well over 300… UNTIL! i checked this morning and saw that it would only cost 35 to finish him……… CLICK-A-ROO!
i know i know… had to spend clams but it was so worth it to ME… i was getting so annoyed at not getting those softwares… imo the drop rate was ultra epic… maybe Herbert dropped 4 in the past week… F O U R!

This morning I when to check the rooms and characters I had working on tasks to get stuff for Stewie and I got not one thing from like 7 things I had going. I started to have the characters repeat the necessary tasks to get Stewies required items and they weren’t there. Then I went to the replicator and Stewie was missing. What the deuce? 10 mins he I checked the replicator and he was back. Is he like a timed character? Will he disappear before the event is over?

Anyone else seen there star fleet level increase slow dramatically. Since I hit level 8 a week ago only gone to level 8.5 were friends are on 9+, seems takes so much to gain level 9 versus previously

Well… that is due to each level requires more and more XP. Standard stuff. 😉
So it may seem slower to reach each new goal. You also may not be buying so much or creating as much either. Remember some of those replicator items drop 100 to 800 XP. So if you made one… you’ll jump vs just doing daily tasks at 2 or 5XP each.

I have the Holodeck unlocked, so I can finally work on Data and Stewie. I saved a bunch of Phaser energy and got a good start on getting Chips for Data and Condoms for Quagmire.
The only problem I have at the moment is I only have 1,600 Crystals at the moment and still haven’t unlocked Crusher. The only thing I can do to solve the problem is to send crew to Acapella XII. I’ve saved a good amount, but who is best to send besides Meg?

Still having a blast with this event. No pun intended. I try to follow all the advise and purchase some “help” now and then but I’m genuinely starting to get a little worried about getting Data. Don’t really want Consuela so I’m not concerned about getting her but Data is driving me nuts. I’m also worried about getting enough synthesizer ore for Kirk. I must have Kirk. This is mandatory. I’ve been informed by the nerdern hemisphere of my brain that this mission is crucial. Ok so there wasn’t really a question but it feels good to talk about it with people who can relate. Also I get all goosey bumped when bunny replies to me. (Blushing and giggling like a young school girl)

I’m trying to decide if I want to use the 4,000 dilithium, of the 6000ish I have, on Data, or just wait until I have enough for Kirk. Data could earn more Dilithium towards Kirk, though. I suppose I’ll just wait and see what the next Warp Core upgrade brings. He may help drop something for unlocking Scotty or Kahn. (Hopefully only one of those will be premium.) I REALLY hope Borg Consuela isn’t part of a Mystery Box. I hate when they throw costumes in those.
Kirk and the originals are honestly the only characters I truly want from the event. Of course, hope I get them all because I have every character and costume released in the game thus far, and am OCD about having the complete roster. Haha! Mind boggling that we’re getting up to 80 characters now. So much hard work on the animation team and programmers’ part.

Still working on unlocking Data – 7 software and about 2500 crystals to go. It seemed like the software drops picked up earlier this afternoon – I got 2 in a row – but since then I’ve gotten none. I’m not in too much of a rush anymore since I spent my crystals to get Picard, but it would have been nice to unlock him before worrying about Consuela this time tomorrow.

Just thought I’d share, the family guy app on iOS has been acting funny all day, won’t load or sits frozen, close out of app, retry, 4 to 5 times finally lets u on. App was fine before whatever happened today, and ofcourse I’ve tried all the fixs and contacted tiny co, anyone else having this problem?

I don’t know if this is an error or by design, but when I sent Data on the 12 hr Malfunction task, it looks like he went to the Replicator to complete it. Now when I tap on the Replicator, it only tells me how much longer Data has on the quest and it won’t let me use the Replicator or even look at what I can craft or what materials I have available.

Very weird… unless he was behind it when you sent him. Was he by Bertram? If so, he is probably just close enough behind it… exploding into pieces… to make it in the way of the Replicator. Try to zoom in really close and see if you have better luck on Replicator. Tap by bottom of the room.

I tried zooming all the way in and it still doesn’t work. I don’t really need the replicator at the moment, I just wanted to check material levels. He had just finished a task in the Turbolift, so he wasn’t near Bertram.

Finally got the Edo Herbert. Only another 2 or so more hrs and Data should be unlocked. Then only another 1000 crystals to unlock Picard and I am ready for tomorrows upgrade. Other than a few speed ups been playing freemium and already up to 90 clams with another 50 coming when i unlock Data! Loving this event. Live long and prosper!

Some of those have a timer on them. The questline for him should still pop up though when you unlock him fully. I will keep an eye out for any reports on it.

Sorry to tag-a-long, but I’m having the same issue.. I tried all of the steps (with of the exception of clearing my cache – not sure how to do that on the iPhone) including deleting the app and reinstalling. I even tried updating the app. Any other ideas?

ios8 and version 1.7.6. just downloaded the update today after getting the error. I think I fixed it.. lost some saved progress but only a few hours. for anyone else having this issue with an apple device.. I had to go to the storage area under settings and delete it from there and reinstall. deleting it from the icon shortcut did not work.

There seems to be a pricing issue for finishing Data with clams. I had three anti-virus software left to get this morning, so when I clicked on the ‘lock’ to see how much it was to just buy him out, it said 67 clams. When I went to the item itself, it let me buy 3 for 6 clams each, a grand total of 18 clams. Any idea what’s up? I had every other item, including the dilithium crystals already turned in.

Technically it is Jean luc Picard not Patrick Stewart although he portrays that character Patrick Stewart was already added in the game.
