Those two lil shadows in the Originals Group in FaceSpace have now beamed down to your Quahog and are awaiting your decision. Will YOU get Scotty and Khan!!
Typical TinyCo has snuck in a weekend “deal” to bring the option of two more Characters from Star Trek: The Original Series into our Quahog’s. So just what is the offer? This is a combination of Acquired Character and Clam Characters.
When you first jump into your game, Peter has a ! over his head to let you know something new is going on. Tapping on Peter triggers a dialog with him “Saving Scotty”, Khan, and Locutus. (So let Picard and Peter free for just a bit to see if they trigger it.) Once done, you see the offer…
In order to bring Scotty into your game, you will need to have unlocked Locutus from the Bridge and have him in your game. On top of that, you will need to purchase Spock for 265 Clams, then also pick up the New Character Khan for 265 Clams.
If you get all 3, then you will receive Scotty for FREE. 
The Free Scotty will be beamed into your Inventory. Just place him into your game to unlock him. (Notice my glitching Kirk too. I already got one in the game.)

Scotty: Free with Completed Offer. Comes fully tasked. Drops Dark Matter (Dropped Always for me), Play with Model Enterprise 18hrs. 6 Tasks. Two Visual Tasks. (No additional questline triggered yet.)
Neither are voiced right now in my game, but will update if that changes.
UPDATE: Got sound back now! Here are some of their phrases. Remember, both of these amazing actors have passed on, so the clips were pulled from where they could get them…(Love hearing their accents.)

Hey Bunny…couldn’t sleep and decided on playing a bit of Family Guy. Was surprised to see Khan and Scotty! Of course I’m not going to pass up the chance to get Khan! Upon getting him (and Scotty) I started getting booted out of the game several times as well as “memory” messages popping up. I checked, and have more than enough memory (10.1 GB) on my phone. I have never been booted off of the game before so many times. Not sure if this is a glitch or if other people have this same problem.

Remember, the issue could very well be IN your game. In other words… TOO much going on. The last few pixels just pushed it over the edge. This is the suggestion I keep relaying to players… to help with game stability and a better experience. Limit your memory needed to load a million pixels of content each time you enter your game. (I see this similar thing all the time on the other game)

Thanks Bunny! I deleted A LOT of the apps on my phone that I rarely or don’t use anymore as well as putting a lot of the decos with moving animations in my town into my inventory. Also…switching to wi-fi sure helped…DOH!!! Game runs MUCH smoother especially on an iphone4! 🙂

I can tell you that in my game Khan is voiced but Scotty isn’t. I don’t know if there’s some glitches that’s making his voice clips not play for everyone, but I’m getting Ricardo Montalban loud and clear.

Anyone lose their user interface after your bought Khan and received Scotty? After I bought him it said memory error. I rebooted and when I restarted app there was no interface. Uninstalled and reinstalled and after tutorial I loaded my Facebook save and boom no user interface. Am I alone on this? I tried to use their contact us on website but it just locks up when i hit send. I left my complaint on the facebook page but who knows if they will see it. Spent 30 buck on this event and now at the final stretch I can’t play. Sorry to vent but I just need to know if its happening to anyone else. I’m bummed out 😦 😦 😦

That is first I heard of interface gone. I would suggest to see if memory strain is adding to the issue. Try some of these basics for cutting down the memory drain in the game. Then restart device and see if it helps.

I had a “memory” message pop up on my phone last night after I received Khan and Scotty but, after I deleted a few unnecessary apps on my phone to clear up storage as well as place some of my animated decos in my town into storage, everything ran as it should but, much smoother. But still…I thought I was the only one who received that message on my phone. Glad I wasn’t alone. Are things any better with your game?

Use the star trek ship to transport to the enterprise and it comes back.

Any advice on the order to unlock Kirk and Pike? Will one assist in the effort to obtain the other? I probably won’t have enough Synthesizer Ore for a while so I was going to get Pike first. Thanks for your time and sorry so many posts. Insomnia is strong tonight.

Not really… shoot for the one you want MOST first and then battle battle battle Bertram to load up for the other. (My personal taste is always go for a Character over a Costume in this case as Costumes tend to be seen less)

I got them… Had Locutus and Spock, bought Khan and got Scotty.
(also got Consuela on my fourth try. First Borg Kitten (cute), then assimilated High School, then I believe 150? Clams and finally Borg Consuela)
Now only 2 characters for me to get. Kirk and Captain Pike Joe.
As I see it, I will unlock Kirk first, considering that if I come in time need, Joe can be sped up with clams.

Sadly, being a poor old IOS6 user I’m still locked out of the game. Hadn’t even completed crusher/quagmire and still on core level 8. Without the event being extended or a massive boost from TC when the patch is released, I don’t hold out much hope of completing the collections.
Have a feeling the event won’t be extended anyway as TC are bound to have other events scheduled and that would throw them off.

Ok there has to be an easier way to get Synthesizer Ore. I’m going crazyyyyy. Help me O’Bunny Kenobunny. You’re my only hope. Why are the TinyCo gods against me? I big fan please. Was hoping Khan or Scotty would have a task for it but neither does and I just got Borg Consuela but she’s on a 12hr task so don’t know if she does either. I would sell my big toe for a single Synthesizer Ore. Or trade that annoying brewery for half of one.

Hopefully Khan and Scotty will both be voiced and have questlines soon because 265 clams is a bit much for not having a voice or a questline. I can understand a free character to not have a voice but a premium…..I am glad this event is almost over because in the words of Scotty: “Captain, I can’t take much more of this!” I counted a total of 13 characters released for this event and 11 outfits. 5 of those 13 were premium characters. When Tinyco said this was their biggest event yet they weren’t joking about that. Still me not being a big Star Trek fan and more of the Originals fan I just had to get everyone. Now just need Kool-aid Man and my collection will be complete, for now at least. Like Pokemon got to get them all. 🙂

I had to get Kahn! It was sticker shock at first BUT if you really think about it, you are getting a good deal.
Yes he cost 265 clams BUT you ended up getting Scotty free (he is worth 200 clams) My friend on the other hand did not want to spend MORE clams!
We both have gone well over our gaming budget on this event (I went 100 dollars over) Yikes! But I’m enjoying this event ( even with my MANY frustrations)
I figure my money is going to contribute to better things to come.
Note: My friend also ended up buying Kahn lol. It was going to drive him crazy not having the complete set. I broke it down for him like this because he hates paying more than 200 clams for a character.
200 clams for Kahn and only 65 for Scotty. Plus once you get Kirk you get 50 clams back! So you only paid 215 clams for BOTH.
Now I just need a TON of pink thingies to unlock Kirk! I hope I have enough time to collect the amount needed before the game ends!?

Since the kool-aid man and human Rupert made a comeback,could it be possible to also bring an alien fellow from a different dimension?it is a universe related event and even though the alien is not a star trek related character,it is a xenomorph….truth be told?I really really REALLY want the alien 😀 ahh

I caved in and used the $20 I had sitting around in Google Play to buy Khan. I already had Spock where I used the 265 TinyCo gave me for all the hassle with me losing 3 weeks of the event. I thought it was a great deal for $20 to buy Khan, get Scotty for free, and still have just enough to buy Q and Guinan after unlocking Data by getting the 50 Clams for the set plus earning 1 more Clam. With having Q, Guinan and Worf, who I bought with saved Clams, I’ll get Clams back.

Still working on Picard (Data less so…grumble…grumble…AV Software…). Borg Cube doesn’t drop Dilithium as much now that the Catheters and Enterprise Replica are gone, and I screwed up and built Capt. Pike Joe before unlocking Picard (even after planning on getting Picard first specifically to help me farm Bertram 5.0 and get the Dilithium/Dark Matter for Joe and Kirk–I’m an idiot)… Now my other four fighters are waiting to pull the trigger on Bertram 4.0 (1 heart left) and I need to pick up just under 3000 Dilithium in the next 11 hr (plus the 1000 for beating 4.0) if I want Picard to be there when 5.0 emerges. 7 hr (minus whatever his build time is) if I want him to start that fight. And I do. 40 heart points? Phew… Math says it can be done, but it’s hardly a certainty without an additional 2-3 fighter… Oh, and sleep would be nice somewhere along the line… ^_^’
That said, I’m very happy Khan was such a straightforward get (and Scotty even easier) rather than having some kind “since you finished all the sidequests” requirement. Cause sidequests? What are those? ^_^

Best of luck to you. I’m on my last three bars before Bertram advances to 5.0 guy. Didn’t realize it was gonna be 40 bar fight on the last one. I have all the fighters now but that still sounds pretty rough. I’m terrible at math or I would calculate the possible results. Like I said, best of luck and hope it’s fun for you.

Send Lois on an away mission to the Borg cube. All by herself. If she doesn’t bring anything back it’s pretty much like her (fixed) one hour mission. But if she does come back with stuff, it’s really nice. Use the others on two hour missions to top up your dilithium and you actually have a chance to get that 3K you need by the end of the event.
Calculation: 16 hours (8 collections from 2h missions, 16 collections from away mission) * 5 crystals/hour * 9 characters (Lois, Peter, Chris, Quagmire, Mort, Spock, Geordi, Beverly, Locutus) = 720 crystals even if Lois comes back empty handed. You can get more if you sleep less 🙂 But if your luck is like mine[*note], she’ll come back with 500 crystals at least twice in that interval, plus clams. According to the visual indicator you have a 1 in 6 chance to get a prize, so in 18 missions (cut 2 hours of sleep) you should get 3 prizes on average. You can increase your odds by sending Quagmire and Peter with her, but you’ll lose their combined 10 crystals for the hour – depends on if you think it’s worth it.
[*note] Now that I’ve written this, TinyCo will go tweak the randomiser so it doesn’t happen anymore, but I already have enough that I might even get Talosian Stewie too.

I have had bad luck with my Bertram fighters in that on 5.0 they have all done the minimum amount of damage each time they complete their task. I have all 5 attackers, so I believe I am covered mathematically (1 each for Chris and Geordi and 2 each for Stewie, Guinan, and Picard equal a minimum of 8 per 4 hours) with 5 attacks being 40 points. I am hoping it’s just been bad luck and not some coding to make them do minimum damage, but statistical each time makes it more likely that it a deliberate gimp that been implimented.
(Or maybe they are a little tick at me because I sent an ingame message questioning the 18 hour tasks for Scotty and Khan to get dark matter with less than a week left, for a grand total addition of 16 more). OK, so now I am getting a little paranoid that they are out to get me because all my characters have had the bad luck to not do max damage for the last 3 attacks. I am currently at 17 hearts for Bertram with 14 hours left so three more attacks are possible. ; D ; D

With all 5 fighters going, Bertram 5.0 was a straight 12h battle. Missing only Picard you should still have plenty of time to kill him in the 24h window. Just make sure your last hit it with Geordie/Klingon Chris and cycle the others back into the fight before the final blow and you should still be on track. Once you have all 5 going, you’ll have no trouble knocking him for repeat kills and tons of XP/DC/Dark E.

Even if sending away three characters you only need one 500 drop every fifty expeditions to break even the ten you lose from one-hour tasks. I’m sure you’ll get more than two over the week. (I’ve already had four or five and that’s with only one or two travellers.)

Instead of being insulting, maybe take a step back and think… could an error have occurred on YOUR end? I pushed TONS of comments about it on the other posts (just look at Phase 6). You could have just asked if we saw it instead of immediately accusing us of taking it down.

I’m sure there was a mistake or miscommunication. The Addict’s staff are always polite and open to all discussions. I personally don’t know how they get the time or have the patience to deal with the vast number of inquiries submitted. Everyone does help one another and typically in a courteous and friendly manner. I am very grateful for that as are most of the members of the Addict’s community. You should be praising them for their generous contributions and focus less on unfounded accusations blurted out in a negative tirade. I’m sure it most likely wasn’t your intent to be rude but it came off as exactly that. Thank you for your time and best of luck during the remainder of the event.

Got Khaaan right away and Scotty too. Completed my set. Had unlocked Kirk yesterday. Now just need to beat Borg Bertram one more time and I will have enough dark matter to get Captain Pike Joe and that last two replicator buildings. Then just have to work through the quest lines and see what else Tiny Co may surprise us with before the event ends Thursday.

Got them both! I think it was a great deal. Especially given the clam return once all four Originals are collected. (As long as nobody gets in the Cranston price range again, I’m good.) Now I just need to finish this last Borg Bertram battle, and I have my precious Kirk! Then on to Data and Pike Joe! (Mostly lack the Dilithium for them, but it shouldn’t be a problem. Peter, Lois, and Quagmire’s away mission yields me 500 Dilithium almost every time, and that’s not too shabby by the hour. Not to mention the Borg Bertram payout.)

Yeah, the Borg cube has been quite nice to me. I got the Enterprise first time. Then I have gotten about 4000 dilithium, and 15 clams since I started sending on that away mission. I have had only one mission failure for minimum payout. Unfortunately, I forget it is a one hour task or I could possibly have had double that as I have cleared every two hours.

Try to force close…. restart your device… try again. Make sure he is not already in your game wandering. Go to Enterprise as there are less Characters there to scroll through. My Kirk (as seen in post image) Glitched. He is in my game, but also in the Inventory with a double… locked.

Yeah, this happened to me as well. I triggered him and he didn’t appear (got the inventory lock to prevent me trying to add him again). I went to Enterprise, but I don’t think he unlocks there. Went back to Quahog and there he was waiting with a little lock over his head. I clicked it and he started to wander. Took him back to Enterprise to task him.

I NEVER give up until the last day. TinyCo is sneaky. They seem to have last minute things. This is mainly why I think this is NOT it…. where is the LAST Giant Tribble? We only got two in the game so far. Where is the 3rd? So unless no plans for it… it’s gotta be hiding round here somewhere.

Also, I have a question about the Bertram. So I am getting ready to fight the last one, is the main purpose in fighting Bertram to get dark matter and crystals, or is there some other “prize” to be gained with him?

I am surprised that more people haven’t figured this out yet.
Tinyco has done a lot with this event to help people catch up by adjusting drops for characters from the previous week.
I have been fortunate enough to get all of mine done in the week they were released (sf lois was right up to the upgrade), so i didn’t really get to take an advantage of that. I am glad that everyone that was behind or struggling with drops or getting into the game was able to though.
By the way thanks for the walkthroughs they are very helpful in planning when to send a character off on a task.
Can’t wait to beat level 5 Betram a 2nd time so I can get Kirk (last character/skin that i need to complete it all).

got them both. sent them on 2 hour tasks before checking their voices. thought I would speed up scotty’s task (hes in the lift, so no tapping for voice) so i could listen to his voice, to see it was 46 clams to speed it up. considering its Scotty, that seems about right )
Have all but Kirk now. In character screen, it lists 79/82. Kirk is one obviously, Bertram was shown as coming later at some stage wasnt he? Could there be another still to come?

I think the 18hr dark matter quests are next to useless. So it is kind of a bait and switch to con you into dropping clams on Khan (if you were doing it for the dark matter drops). Cause those possible 16 extra dark matter (it a rare drop) are going to make such a huge dent into getting Kirk and Captain Pike Joe.

I am so glad they have given us another way to get dark matter because getting about 50 a day from Bertram just wasn’t cutting it to cover my dark matter needs.

I did the calculations, we will get 14 dark matters from Scotty and Khan as most. And the longer we wait with buying them, the less we can get.
The point is not that Bertram is the best way of getting them, the point was that these two extra characters are pretty much useless in getting dark matters.
That said, I got them anyway.

Some Characters are more like a Collectible item you may have in your home. They are more an item you WANT, not so much functionality. Lol 😉

For people who like the characters plus might not have all 5 possible attackers for Bertram(rendering the 5th and possibly 4th versions of him impossible) it will since their Bertrams will reset when they break the streak.
It’s not a huge difference but maybe the 8-10 extra from these 2 characters pushes some people over the edge for getting Kirk and/or Pike Joe. 215 dark matter is a ton(plus the other like 20 for stuff in the Replicator) for people who might not be able to get 25-50 from a Bertram fight like others.

This was the first event where I spent cash to get Clams for characters. I just had to have Spock. I lucked out with Khan, becausr v I had just gotten the set completion Clams from getting Stewie AND Data. Now all I need is Kirk, as I’m nor trying for Borg Consuela, since I don’t have her in my game. Love this event, TC!

I think that to make the dark matter an 18 hr task that is also a rare drop is just plan wrong. How is that even useful? That will take forever to add up and the event ends soon. It should have been an always for 8hrs max. That way they could have at least justified the clam cost. I am really beginning to get on the leave this game bandwagon. I don’t mind paying for clams when the purchases actually help in a significant way or something but these don’t. At least the others fight that dumb Borg Bertram.

I have yet to progress to a point where I need dark matter. (Still farming for Crusher and Quagmire). Is there any benefit to buying Khan + Scotty. It feels like a last minute money grab, especially since Spock and Khan are 265 clams vs 200 like most of them. I already have therest unlocked/ purchased, just wondering what you and the community think/ weigh in on this one. I am a big TSTO fan and just strarted FGTQFS a couple of weeks before the event.

It is a matter of the cost of the Event. What it took them to bring us a Franchise they have nothing to do with (Not from FOX. Trek is CBS). Bryan Cranston was 500 Clams. I think this go round they tried to even it out a bit more over all the Characters. Overall it has been pretty close to past events.
I will always say this… what will make YOU happy? 3 months from now, will you still be happy with the purchase? Or regretting it?

Just to elaborate a little, I am so thrilled to have both of these characters offered. My favorite Star Trek movie is the second one from the original series, The Wrath of Khan, so I’m really pleased. It would be super cool if they incorporated the mind control ant lion (or doodlebug), into the game. I would truly nerd out then. The thing gave me nightmares as a kid. Would also love to see more original cast members but I’m happy to have gotten any. It was pretty expensive to get them and I don’t think really worth it for the limited assistance they provide but as far as nostalgia goes, I guess you can’t put a price on it.

It’s like a Comic Book/Gaming Store. You go in… lots of goodies. All varied groupings of “Geek Like” items. Some are worth it to you to splurge. Others are not. It’s one of those times where you really have to think “Is this really worth that amount?” For some it is no question, for others it is a pass. It is what makes YOU happy. 😉

What makes me happy are my kids, fun games, a cold beer and a smile from Miss Bunny. I’m a simple man. Oh and I have been harassing TinyCo to incorporate a thank you for the Addict’s team into the game. A character, building, statue, billboard or anything to let everyone know how much you ladies are appreciated. How cool would it be to send Bunny on a quest to sneak into TinyCo to steal secret upcoming events information. I would even pay premium for that. Or maybe send Alissa to answer repetitive emails from disgruntled fans. I know I have been bugging them a long time to do this but I can’t help it. I will prevail…Bwahahahahaaaaaa

You have to do the quest line from Peter. I had to wait til Peter was back from an away mission to trigger the quest and get Scotty.

Nope, I would like to get Khan and Scotty, but can’t afford another 140 clams to buy Khan. I have missed out on several characters because I did not have another $50+ to spend after i have spent $40 already on one event. It has been fun though.

I already have Spock and Locutus, I am on the verge of getting Data, along with having over 265 clams. I have been debating on which other premium character I’d go for during this event (or Rupert), and I think the choice of going for Khan and Scotty seems the most logical to complete the set.
While I’d happily go for any of Worf, Guinan, or Q, I think completing the set, and getting as much as possible for Kirk will be good here. While I was going for Picard, I figured I’d use my dilithium to get Data to get this deal done.

It appears as though TinyCo is going to be sticking with the 265 price point and that’s getting to be a little too greedy for my blood. They need to drop it back to 200 or they’ll be losing me; a very generous, Day-1 supporter. 😡

I paid 500 for Brian Cranston and in the 200’s for Comic Con Characters. I think it is more the cost it took to get them in the game.

Just got Khan and Scotty. Should have waited to see what you guys had to say but was so excited. Scotty seems to drop dark matter and Khan the same. I’m doing great for the most part but the Synthesizer Ore is just killing me. I rarely get a drop for some reason. It’s the only thing holding me back from completing everything. Still I’m loving the event and as always loving seeing how much everyone else is enjoying themselves. Sounds strange but I get just as big a kick out of hearing other players having fun as I do having fun myself. Just hope my personal nonprofit advisers, Miss Bunny and Miss Alissa, are enjoying themselves also. And please remember ladies that all your hard work and dedication is very, very much appreciated and I only wish we could give back to you what you so selflessly give to us time and time again. Posted this on the wrong spot so re-posted here. Sorry.

Thanks to completing a couple of character/costume sets the past couple days I actually had enough clams stockpiled in order to pick up Khan and get the free bonus Scotty. And when I get enough dilithium/dark matter to get Kirk I will complete that set and get 50 clams back. This event has been amazing.

Both Khan and Scotty have a task that drops Dark Matter, but it isn’t going to be all that practical a method of getting it since it takes 18 hours to do. Still characters I wanted

Got both. Have all the characters just kirk to go. Will be so disappointed in missing consuela Borg skin as this will be the only thing I won’t get. I hate mystery chance boxes and am so bummed they went this way. Would have rather collected stuff. Hey ho. Never mind. Both Kahn and Scott have tasks that drop dark matter.

Insta-purchase. Had to complete my stash. Still don’t have Kirk but I’m working on it. Also, did you guys know Kool Aid Man is available for clam purchase in the character tab now? If so is it permanent or temporary, cuz 750 clams is a lot to purchase all at once, but I need him =p

I am waiting verifications if there is a trigger point. Biggest suggestion, make sure your task menu has room for a new task for Peter to trigger.
