FYI: Myself and Alissa currently are NOT able to get into the game on our Android Devices. It just crashes. It has been reported. Will update if we hear anything back as it seems to be spreading.
It seems the crashing was originally linked to only a few Android Devices over the weekend, but as you can see… it is spreading. I am on GS4, and Alissa is on GS6. Both are unable to access the game.
UPDATE 7/6 2:55PM EST: I am now able to get back into my Android Device. Let us know if you can too. (Alissa is still down)
I was able to get back into my device after using an iOS device to go in and tap on a bunch of items. Exited the game. Then went by to my Android device and got right in.
p.s. Alissa tried my shortcut of using an iOS device, it gave her access to her game too.

After Week 5 content was released, we saw many reports from players of odd things happening in your games. No worries, we are always here helping. Even when you do not see it.
Just before I went off the grid, I did send off a full report to TinyCo to look into. Take a peek below to see if any applies to you.
Here are the main items we saw…
CRASHING WHEN TRYING TO UPDATE MANSION![]()
Players stating they completed all of the Law of the Land Questline and got the Upgrade Icon over the Mansion to Upgrade to Week 5. When tapping on it, the game crashed and Mansion would not Upgrade to Week 5 content.
This issue was already reported to them, I would suggest anyone experiencing this issue reports it to the too… from in game if possible.
In the meantime, there are some things you can try to see if it helps at all… but it is up to you if you would like to try.
- Go to your App Market and make sure you are on Version 1.9.7 of the App, if not… download it and see if that helps.
- Try some Basic Troubleshooting to see if maybe there is a bad file loaded to your game.
UPDATE: TinyCo has offered a workaround for this issue.
- Make sure you are on 1.9.7 in the App Market for the Game.
- Store 5 Buildings from your town into Inventory (Try even some Event ones)
- Try to Upgrade the Mansion again.
LOAD ERROR
Players reported a Load Error appearing, locking them out of the game, shortly after completing a Streak on Don.
“Attempting to load a streak requirement that is no longer in config”
This isssue was already reported. We would suggest you report it too. As we know you are unable to get into your game, email them help@tinyco.com with the following…
- Your Player ID if you have it. If not, a screenshot of the opening Splash Screen of the game with the Load Error Image and the numbers on the left and right side.
- Any device information you can provide.
- An explanation of exactly what you were doing when it happened to help narrow the trigger along with the day it happened.
- Note in the Subject line it is for Family Guy.
UPDATE: TinyCo Engineers are still investigating this issue.
GOONS CHANGING
Have not seen too many reports of this as of yet, but still reported it.
Players are stating that the Goons show on set needed, Goons sent for Hire at Copahavana, then game exited. When returned, the Goons have changes to an alternate set.
We need a bit more information on this one as I am sure that TinyCo does too. So players noticing this issue, please give us more specifics like…
- Did the game crash before this happened?
- What streak were you on when it happened? (1x-5x)
- What was the Goon requirement before and after?
Make sure you also report this to them directly from in your game messaging so they can track it and locate the cause.

ANDROID ISSUE
Some quick Side Notes: For those of you on Android still locked out while they are still trying to locate the trigger points, there are two option you can try. Both may not be easily accessible, but it may be worth a try. BOTH require you to have your account saved. (Which I hope by now ALL of you are doing.) Before you jump in, check to ensure you are on Wersion 1.9.8 on App Market.
- This one I already covered in the Glitch post. Borrow an iOS device. Log in to your game in the iOS device. Tap on a few items if possible, like collect some coins. Exit out. Then go back to your Android Device and see if you can get back in.
- This one is the real long shot. But have been talking to other Players in the comments on the Glitch post and it did help. There is a BETA Facebook version of the game out there that is by far ready for play, however… it is a “workaround” point like the iOS device. It is ANYTHING outside the Android Device. So, if you have some time and patience… try the Facebook BETA version… be patient as it could take a few tries to load. If you can get in, the same as above. Tap something. Exit out. Go back to your Android. https://apps.facebook.com/playfamilyguy/
Both are just optional, but if they get you back in… it’s worth a try. Good Luck
There are a few other isolated things we are seeing, but as they are more one on one issues so we will not focus on them unless we start to see a pattern or it spread like those above.

So I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else but I never bought Consuela in her house so when I just claimed my Kingpin Consuela I ended up receiving Consuela in consuelas house instead… And I’m not seeing the Kingpin Consuela outfit. Is that weird?

No. It is how it is supposed to happen. It is a combo. Place her house, unlock her, then go to Al’s where all the Costumes are stored and make her Kingpin Costume. 🙂

I have not had access to my game since Saturday afternoon. I have tried everything, nothing works. I have spent TONS of cash on this event and maintained a pretty steady rank, around 4000. I havent played in days which means my rank is shot and I wasted about $100. I dont even know what I feel right now. Not even pissed anymore, just super sa and disappointed that after countless emails I havent received one rrespond from anyone. And I have been loyal to TinyCo since the beginning and have spent money at just about every event. There is no way I can catch up now. And after spending my hard earned money to support this co, they didnt care enough to respond to my pleas for help even after almost 3 days.

I lost out on everything. Defeating the Don. All the timed tasks. EVERYTHING. I am reaching out to you guys to see if there’s anything tou can do. This is my last ditch effort. I’m not sure how they can compensate me now, all my progress has been lost. Sad and mad doesnt come to close to what I am feeling now.

Sorry but we don’t control the game. There’s nothing we can do other than wait with everyone and report the patch info.
Just keep in mind they are a Tiny company, so responses are longer to receive. They’re not outsourced to call centers worldwide like other game houses. Sadly with it all done in house, response time is difficult for many players.

No need to attack those trying to help. We don’t wait? Since when? Who do you think stays up ALL night with Players when there is an issue emailing TinyCo all hours of the night and updating THIS site? Who stays up on the weekends? On their days off? While on Vacation? While traveling? Wait for an update to hit? Wait for an item to release?
So please don’t assume we “don’t wait”. That is actually a very mean thing to say to us don’t you think? All we do… ALL the time… is wait. I think we spend MORE time waiting then anyone else combined. And if you look at this very post, you will see that WE did have the issue, and guess who found a workaround to try and help Players so they won’t be locked out anymore? Me. I took time away from my Vacation and postponed my trip by one day so I could stay and help Players all I could before I left. Including emailing TinyCo while ON my Vacation.
There is no need to take out your frustrations on us. To do so is not fair in any way.

Hey, I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, but I don’t receive the option to watch ads for free clams anymore. This is unfortunate because I was so close to buying Consuela, but had to spend clams to speed up a task for this event..

That was only in testing anyway. It’s gone for a bit. Too many issues they’ve got to work on. If it returns for more testing, you may not see it as it is only select players.

No, the loss of clam TV really is an unintentional bug in the last update and they intend to fix it. So sayeth Tiny Matt of TinyCo on the reddit forum… 🙂 . It was working fine for those who lost it and they were expanding it (I started seeing them about a week ago with no problems until the update). Matt said the next update (which should be any minute now) should fix it.

Yeah same here on the ads They went missing two days ago for me. Too bad they turned it off, I wasn’t having any issues with it the last few days. Really only had a couple times where it had an issue loading the ads but usually only lasted part of a day before it was working again. Hope they fix whatever issues it had soon and get it back to us. Would be nice if they could just let everyone see it.
Also, just in case you don’t know – if you can get 17,500 hats to get Kingpin Consuela they give you Consuela & her house along with it if you don’t already have her in your game.

If you need to buy Consuela (assuming you haven’t collected 17,500 fedoras to get the final prize, the character comes along with the costume plus her house) and are very close: definitely get busy and take down the Don (in front of the mansion) to get the blobby detective as the prize after the fifth streak. I was surprised this afternoon to see that I got 35 clams after winning the detective! Turns out they defined a new group in Facespace called Mafia Soldiers, including Mr. Washee, Diabeto, Cleveland Jr., and Detective Scrote and are giving 35 clams for the complete collection. So I was able to get Mr. Miyagi after all, even with the free clams TV still missing. I just needed 4 more clams to ransom him from the store. He is now catching flies with chopsticks in my town. Happy, happy, joy, joy!

I have an iPhone 6 and I suffered the crash of loading out of sequence streak error. I my started working again and I’m now back to the 3rd battle with don. I hope I don’t get to the 4th battle like I did when it came up with the error. The only character I have a chance in Getting it detective scrotes. Missing 3 days of play means I have no chance to get Bonnie skin or Tricia skin.

What iOS are you on? Have you upgraded yet to iOS 8.4? I’m still in iOS 8.3 on a 5s and haven’t had that streak error at all (and just finished all 5 battles to take down the Don and get Scrote) and am wondering why I’m so lucky (or why you’re unlucky with a newer iPhone). Mine is 64GB, only half full. I also do hard quits every time I check the game, otherwise I don’t always get the sounds. My town is small, though, since I only started playing during Star Trek and haven’t reached Stewie yet.

Another glitch with the update to 1.9.7 is loss of the beta in-testing”clam TV” in front of the Griffin house, that gives clams for watching commercials. It went missing for people like me who had been seeing it once every 24 hours (for just a few days in my case, months for others). TinyCo (Matt) confirmed on the reddit forum that this is due to a bug in the update that disables the videos. Some were seeing an error message, but in my case (iOS 8.3, iPhone 5s) the little TV viewer just vanished. Matt said it would be fixed in the next update “in 2-3 days” (that was posted three days ago as of early Sunday/late Saturday, so maybe it will happen Tuesday July 6 when they’re back to full force after the 4-day holiday weekend?). Not as awful a glitch as the spreading crashes, but (sob) if not fixed I can’t get Mr. Miyagi… need 4 more clams, Ollie is being stingy in Ollieland. A personal tragedy. But it does add to the pattern of loads of problems in the update that are affecting various types of phones (definitely iOS and Android, judging from what I’ve been reading).
Very odd that the crashing has been spreading from initially a few devices. I know I had connection problems (rare) Monday afternoon about the time it was reported here that people were being prevented from getting into the game, so maybe the spread is due to an attempted fix on Monday gone haywire. I will light a candle at my Klingon temples for the TinyCo engineers…. They will have a very busy Tuesday. Maybe another candle for customer support, which must be ready to hide under the bed by now. Or will be once they see the pile of messages. Those of you that have Jesus in their towns might drop a hint that a tiny miracle would be nice. Any other religious figures or places in the game to tap into?!? I thought the Don was supposed to be able to make things happen, too.
If the update has to come through the App Store, we’re sunk on iOS and maybe the Kindle since it could take several days before the update is approved, judging from last time, and the event will be over unless it’s extended. Here’s hoping it’s something that could be pushed to our devices directly, unless TinyCo got a special dispensation for speedier release by Apple and Amazon.

If anyone is still having problems getting the week 5 mansion to upgrade, tiny co sent me a message telling me to log in remove 5 building that pay out money into your inventory, log out back in and it should let u upgrade as it did me and I was locked out from upgrading until last night. hope this fyi helps people

After doing everything that suggested in the post. Still having the same issue with not be able to log on to game I understand that advice is to wait and that they are “working ” on the issue but as us players on android devices wait we are losing out mob rep and our position on the leaderboard. It would just be nice if tinyco could at least respond. I understand that they may not have time to respond to everyone’s email but at least post something on their Facebook page stated that they are working on the issue. I understand your not tinyco and do not work for them. So then maybe you shouldn’t be stating what they ” working” on since your not tinyco.

They use player accessed sites like ours to also help pass on word as we can reach thousands with one post faster than they can email.
The info we post comes DIRECTLY from them.
Don’t shoot the messenger, we’re just here trying to help and play the game too. Maybe a little kindness for those that don’t HAVE to help but do it willingly. Don’t you think? 😉

The Addicts in Chief obviously have a fast track for communicating with TinyCo. I’m sure that they base what they say directly on what they are told in personal communications, so they’re not just speculating when they say TinyCo is aware of a problem and is working on it. My game crashed after sending a dozen goons to take out fort nox. When I loaded back in, it was only half destroyed but all the goons disappeared and I lost hours of work. Haven’t had any trouble logging in on my Android device yet.

I am using a galaxy note 3 I still cannot get on my game it keeps crashing everytime I start when I can get on it its only for 30 seconds and then it crashes I have emailed TinyCo a hundred times and heard nothing back I don’t know what to do…… I’ve sent crash reports I’ve sent emails I’ve heard nothing…..

I had the goon requirement change on me yesterday, happened quickly, don’t believe the game crashed. Was on 5 multiplier, went from 15 ninjas to 9 cops, didn’t effect me at all.

Now I get join the list of players locked out. The timer on don’s fight was set to reset since I was last in and now it just crashes.

Oi vey. Locked out since yesterday morning. It sure would be nice if I had an iOS device with which to log in. How on earth is Tinyco going to right the shop for people that lost their ranking? I was struggling to stay around 8500 and that’s $100 into this event, just to ensure Don Corleone. Extending the event will help me get Scrotes (I was just finishing the last boss battle), but assigning mob rep to help out those of us that have been sunk! I’m at a loss. I know it’s just a game, but it’s a game that many of us pump a lot of real money into…

Obviously this is causing a back log with the holiday. Remember, they ARE Tiny and it will take time to get a response. They dont have the funds for a Massive World Wide Outsourced Scripted Call Center set up like other Gaming Giants do. They do it all in house. 😉

I even tried to get into my game via Bluestacks, still boots after startup screen. So PC (bluestacks), Kindle, and Android phone all cannot get in. Is there a comparable Bluestacks program for iOS I can use to get back into my game?

I have been working around the clock, setting my alarm to finish tasks and spent LOTS of clams and I’m still stuck on week 4! I’m still about 800 cookies away from getting Lois. I’m about ready to call it quits on this game! I’m so frustrated and aggravated! And I still don’t have enough cookies to get Trisha’s school girl outfit! With all the crashes and impossible goals, they should add like 2 weeks on here for everyone to catch up!

My yellow cookie trucks are not replenishing. Do you know if they will come back? I’m giving up on quests, only doing outfits since that’s all I really want. Over half way to fight promoter cleveland, then poof, no more yellow trucks. Anyone else notice this?

i was getting a bad asset error on my samsung galaxy note 3. It crashes on loading. sometimes a family guy stopped error comes on. i have contacted tiny about it. I am well into week 5 stuff,everything updated and current. so i hope this gets fixed soon, I’m trying to get mob bonnie.thank goodness i got scrotes.

I have not had any problems with this event glitch wise so I’m pretty close to finishing it. But if that many people are actually being hurt by glitches and not things like they thought they had bad drop rates for things like tubas (I started week 4 three days late because of it) then they should extend this event. But anyway, I’ve never actually had a problem on my android phone, just my old ios.

Locked out since Sunday morning on Android and Kindle, probably around the time I let the 24 hour final boss counter run down as I figured the goons were better spent elsewhere.
It’s okay though, it’s not like I’ve spent 4 weeks constant effort maintaining a position on an overall leaderboard for a limited prize, oh wait…
The only fair recompense at this point is a week extension and releasing the leaderboard prizes to everybody as it wasn’t an even contest.

My iPhone 5s/iOS 8.3 has been spared crash issues so far (hope saying that doesn’t jinx it). People should mention the device and operating system when reporting, so we can see the pattern across devices and systems (if there is one). TinyCo has been keeping the game playable on such a wide range of devices/systems, I’m sure that’s part of the problem with these complex events. Testing all the possible combinations must be difficult. Heaven forbid there are also conflicts with other software, that would make it even more of a nightmare.

Thanks for the update. I am no longer getting the load error about the streak but i am still locked out. it is now just saying family guy has stopped part way through loading. I sent them this info along with asking for an extention since many of us have been locked out twice now for an extended period of time.

I dont have ios but i am going to try it on blue stacks again when i get home since the error is gone and its just closing now. Bluestacks was always my solution before like during the enterprise lockout and week one of mobsters but that streak error was so nasty it was popping up on there too.

Bunny, I use a Galaxy S Tab and occasionally my Galaxy 6 Edge phone, and, knock on wood, I have not had any issues with not getting into the game, although it does force close every now and then, and takes any progress I was making with it.
I hope they resolve things pretty quickly, and not just quickly, but thoroughly, because even though the glitching errors have not as affected me as severely as they have others, I figure it is a matter of time, as they their learning curve seems to be quite low, as it seems to be the same story with every new event. They need to take a break from major events until they can figure out how to send it out there without all the errors and timing issues.

I am STILL locked out from upgrading the mansion despite having been on p. 10 well before downloading the update. I have messaged TinyCo many times with no response. Again, I cannot upgrade the mansion to week 5–when I tap on the upgrade icon it immediately crashes, and there’s been no notice of TinyCo even attempting a patch for those of us who can’t do so (a number of my neighbors cannot either). With only 3 days left, what are we supposed to do?? This is twice now that I have been affected for long periods of time by the crashes in this event. VERY disappointing….

😥 I have only just started the courthouse part because I was away for a bit during the event and now I’m not going to get Lois’ outfit, or Tricia’s, or Consuela’s. I haven’t even gotten to the beat Don Corleone!

I was fine before I went away, I’m now having problems(well, since Friday). I’m going back home on Thursday, if the problems are on my end, I should be back to normal by then. I don’t think I can get the skin for Bonnie or the Scrotes character as I will have no chance of finishing it in time. Pretty sure my Vineyard will therefore have become a waste of clams, and I imagine now that the money and time spent trying to secure my leaderboard position will have ultimately been a waste as I’m sure I will now have lost the bronze skin, I should hopefully stay in the rankings for the Don. I’m hoping to get an extension on this, at least to try and unlock what I now have to miss. In the end, it’s just a game, but I spent a fair bit of money and quite a lot of my time coming in and doing things which now seems to have been in vain. I have also missed out on several things in Tapped Out, but I’m not as fussed about a lot of those and I can still get most of the nicer items.

I have been unable to load the game on my Android device since 7/2/2015. I have sent six emails, four through the link when the tinyco crash page appears when my game crashes on loading screen, and also two times directly through their website. No response. I am very frustrated as I had recently spent a decent amount of money and was ranked in the 6000’s for mob rep. I had every character, unlocked for the event and my base game I had unlocked every character up until Olivia and had already completed two Blimp tasks. I understand it was the holiday, but it seems this began happening to me after I received the latest update, why wouldn’t they wait until after the holiday to update, as updating any game can cause so many problems. If you can help in anyway I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Keep in mind, it was a Holiday Weekend… so no Customer Service there to respond. Regardless… see the updates. They ARE working on getting it back up.
In the meantime, I got mine to work by logging in through iOS then back to Android.

I do not have iOS to log in with. I have tried unistall/re-install, no luck. 5 days now with no response seems ridiculous, especially since they sent the patch on Thursday 2nd and I have been emailing since that night, two days before the holiday.

Is there any way you can help me contact Tinyco? I have sent emails for 5 days through the crash page that appears on my device when loading and I have attempted to email via their website, but those emails don’t seem to be going through. I have been unable to play for five days and have received no response to the 8 emails I have sent. Perhaps you know the link to their support that someone will actually respond to?

I get that you want back in your game, but to spam them only adds to the already hourly increasing back log and is causing it so players that need help are being pushed further and further and further away from that help. Just… wait. You have stated you already sent 8+ emails. That is more than needed right now.
The issue is known. We see the Players here still locked out. Other than the work around I found, all anyone can do is wait til a patch that fixes it hits the game. Sorry. Wait with everyone else waiting. We will post an update here as soon as we here anything. 😉

I’m still having trouble as well. I posted on their Facebook page about it. I will email shortly. I tried troubleshooting. It opened and was fine with a new game before I uploaded my game connected with facebook. I have a galaxy note 3 and the crashing started around 4am. I hope they plan on extending this event! 😦

So I was 940 on the leaderboard two days ago and have reported this several times…kinda disheartening to know I am getting beat on leaderboards and losing valuable time….

Asset Error?
If so, that is what I saw with mine crashing. I got back in by using an iOS device to access my game. Went in and collected some coins n cookies. Then back out. Went to my Android and got in. It may or may not work for everyone, but worth a try.

Still experiencing the week 5 mansion update crash. Tried all the basic troubleshooting including uninstall and reinstall with no joy. I’ve messaged TinyCo 3 times now and no response. So I’ll do what Allison and Bunny always say. Keep playing the game! They’ll probably extend it as usual. I hope I have time to get gangster Bonnie 😀

I’ve have done all this but still not able to play. Been kept out since Friday night. I have sent all the info to tinyco. How do I know they have replied when I can’t get into my game to check for messages. I’m a bit confused as to how it can be fixed. My error is the streak config one.

It was a Holiday Weekend. I doubt ANYONE got many responses if any at all over the weekend. Customer Service was not there. Normally it takes 3 to 5 business days.

Hmm my game won’t even open. I emailed tiny Co so hopefully it will be fixed soon! I’m on my 2nd day without this game and I’m an addict!

The goons changing is no different than doing an action and the game not saving from bad reception. You must do it again and the algorithm for the goons must not be pre-programmed like item drops are. This is the reverse of the “battery method” thst used to work.

Allready reported, but have s diferent poblem.
yedterday the game was working fine but when tryed to check at night the game crashes on the loading screen.
the only thing diferent from when was workingbto now is that I let the streak go out to get the Don at level one again…..snyone else having this trouble? :.

I’m currently locked out of my game in both the Kindle and my android phone. Was fine last night, now it kicks me out after loading screen. I emailed TinyCo and also asked for an extension at this point as there’s still so much to do. I haven’t even been able to start the Don task. Hopefully an extension is granted for our mercy lol.

Wow. I’m liking my “just going for mob and cookies” strategy more and more. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t need an extension. I’ve had enough. They can end this. I’m ready to get Tom Tucker active in my base game.

Not sure if this would be correct place, but I have received all the “weekly challenge” rewards but only 3 are showing as *completed* either that or “family betrayal pt 8” is the last quest before the week 4 reward because I have done all other quest lines to date to their end and raided the obstacles Multiple times and been to 5x on the don twice now. =\

We have not seen a Week 4 Challenge yet, so not sure how you could have the 4th. To date, only 3 have hit. We do expect another today if it follows suit. (Monday releases)

I know the title of the challenge – Fountain of Wealth – as it comes up on the challenge info box. No idea what is entailed for it. Day is not over yet, so hopefully it will be launched soon.

I stupidly clicked on the exclamation point above Peter’s head, and triggered the Weekly Challenge. You need to Defeat 3 of the Don’s Henchmen, Have Tricia Obsess over tiny things, and have Lois go on a shoe shopping spree.

Not sure if this is helpful, but I’m having a Load error different than the one above. I was letting the Don’s timer run out (without attacking yet), and he had about 8 minutes left the last time I accessed the game. I’ve been unable to load my game (I can uninstall and load a new game, but it will crash once I log in and attempt to get my saved game) for just under 24 hours. Mostly it just closes and I get “Unfortunately FG:TQFS has stopped”, but I did once see an “Assert Error” message. I have contacted TinyCo already.
Thank you ladies!! I really want Fight Promoter Cleveland, so am hoping this gets fixed soon. 🙂

Keep in mind, we just came off of a Holiday weekend. So it WILL take time for them to respond. Tech is always around (only skeleton crews to keep it running), but not customer service to answer emails. They are a Tiny Company. Not a Giant Game House with scripted reps outsourced worldwide. All is done in house at TinyCo.

I also got a different error when trying to load my game. I’m trying to complete week 4 stuff and on android 1.9.7. I’ve messaged tinyco for help.

That is one I have not seen. Seems like a very old coding error. If your game is saved to an email or Facebook, I highly suggest you completely wipe out whatever version you are playing on off your device and reload a clean new version of the app. So don’t just reload it from the cloud if you have it stored there.

I wiped the game from my device, restarted and re-loaded the game. Unfortunately, I get the same message when trying to load the game. I guess I’ll have to wait for TInyCo to look into this.
