More details are on the way…just as soon as we go through everything ourselves. But for now…as usual..Felicia will kick things off for phase 5!

New Buildings:
Fillion’s Maid Service- 5,000 Blam! Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs
Quahog Copy Center- 100 Clams Always drops Porno Mags
Foaming Clam Bath and Body Shop- 100 Clams Always drops Lotion
Paper and Stuff- 150 Clams Always drops Calculators
Biggest Change….Stewie has Mutated AGAIN:
Giant Stewie is no longer in Quahog…instead he’s replaced by Demon Stewie. He’ll loom over your Convention Center and you have to attack him, just you Giant Stewie…only this time with Harpoons!
Defeat Demon Stewie with Harpoons:
So at this point pesticides are no longer valid in the game. HOWEVER…TinyCo has provided a FREE pesticide conversion box. Where you can convert pesticides you had to Harpoons.
Conversion Boxes:
At this point pesticides are useless…so you’ll have to convert what you have into Harpoons by using the Conversion box:
(Side note from Bunny: Rupert is Dr Manhattan from Watchmen for those curious. Hence…the box placement. Lol. )
Inside you’ll be able to convert your pesticides to various amounts of Harpoons in the varieties required to beat Stewie:
New Questlines:
Stan and Felicia BOTH got new Questlines AND tasks (We’ll have more on those later). Stan the Man, Stan kicks off, and Feminerd, Felicia Kicks off. (hmmm are they channeling Bunny???)
New Character:
New premium character released…Nathan Fillion. He’ll cost 250 Clams.
He will ALWAYS drop 3 Harpoons with his 4hr task.
New Costume:
Multiplier has been released for Quagmire!
To unlock the Multiplier you’ll have to collect STUFF…here’s what you’ll need:

Not sure if this was in another post but I have a building with a check mark and latcher stewie and everytime i try to zap it it freezes, other stewies are fine,, contacted tinyco but last time it took a while to get back to me, any help I’m not sure who’s in the building.

So far I havent sent Captain Hammered on which ever harpoon task was listed below Defeat Demon Stewie in part 1(ie I harpooned him once, and then have been sending Captain Hammered on the opposite harpoon task) and Chris hasn’t triggered the countdown clock, I don’t think the levels on the harpoon goal are easy in 4 days (even with Nathan) so I’m hoping to build up a stash/hoping tinyco will adjust something.

So far my fave comments are NF saying “I really am ruggedly handsome”, and PS saying “use the Force, Harry”. That one illicited snorts once I paid attention to who was saying it.

Well I find the conversion rate horrible with a 10 to 3/4/5 odd with 5 being the starting number of harpoons to kill demon Stewie. I haven’t defeated him yet. Going to stock up on harpoons first (I have everyone getting bombs atm for the 3rd bike) but I better not leave it too long or TinyCo may change demon Stewie to another thing and get another horrible conversion rate on harpoons.
I got Nathan (Lucky I have 257 clams) and I think he will be sick by the end of the event with him spraying himself with water all day. Bryan should really should drop 4 harpoons like he did with the sprays (1 of each and 1 random) because people may have decided to buy him yesterday because of his payout of sprays only to be disappointed now that he only drops 2 harpoons (at least its slightly better then when the update came out when he only drop 1 harpoon).
I won’t complain about the minion Stewies as they fixed that bug now.
These are some of the issue I have with the update. I don’t mind them changing things just don’t screw people over where they may be freemium player and may only have gotten 40 sprays to now only having 12 harpoons. Long Rant 😉

So you guys are saying that as soon as Chris triggers the bike quest, the four-day countdown starts… but I’m not completely sure that’s the case, because the thing is, I don’t have a countdown. The task is just hanging out in the task bar without the usual ‘x days x hours’ bar on the bottom. Maybe I’m misreading what you’re saying? Or maybe I have a glitch? Either way, I guess I’ll know when I kill Stewie the first time… but it does seem to me that the quest hasn’t started, because without that timer, how am I supposed to know when my time’s almost up?

I sent Felicia Day to Sir Lanceawort’s for a quest, it got invaded by a Stewie and now when I use the gun the game freezes halfway through the zap. She’s trapped! Tried it on other devices with no luck. Poor Felicia. 😦

On closer inspection, the building is invaded, but there is no Stewie attached to it. So that’s what is causing problems. The gun is technically zapping nothing and locking up. Felt like I had to tell someone. Why not you guys. 🙂

Please let them know it is happening from your game menu so they can look into it right away. I notified them too, but I don’t have the issue for them to see it live.

Happened to me a while ago with Lois in the Q building.
I had to wait the 8 hours for the latcher to jump to a new building…
Just make sure to zap any other latchers in your town so when it finally jumps a new one doesn’t take it’s place.

I just got one too, the reds used to drop Jazz Records but had stopped after an update, looks like TinyCo fixed it for those of us still struggling to get them.

I’m dreading defeating denim stewie 9 times in 4 days, might miss out on that vehicle, sounds too hard to get, may collect a load of harpoons before I trigger the start of the task, any suggestions on what’s best to do??

Try to collect some if possible and stockpile them. That will make it easier.

i’m getting a weird glitch. i’m doing felicia’s task at sir lancewort’s but the building is purple however instead of a stewie latcher, there is a check indicating her task is complete. i try zapping it but the game freezes. should i wait a few hours until the “latcher” goes away?

Make Chris Be Blobular doesn’t drop Porno mags, is that correct? It doesn’t show up in his task nor in Harrington’s.
And any idea how I can find out how many pesticides I have left?
And better to stock up on harpoons before killing Demon Stewie for the first time???

Initially when the update first hit he did..then they pulled it back.
With out Giant Stewie there I don’t know if you can check on your pesticide count.

Bought a the clam pack and got the bombs….but no clams. Sent a,message to tiny Co, but I can’t get Nathan until they look into it. If it comes to it…I’d rather have the clams.

Argh, if I’d known I would have used up all my pesticides yesterday… Had like 30-60 of each, but that’s what you get for being greedy and wanting to streak as many times as possible I guess. I’m MOSTLY happy about the uppdaterad though! Bought NF, since I’m a mom 🙂

Scrolled through the comments to see that one other player mentioned the same Load Error problem/eternal non-loading problem that I currently have:
Config empty for id griffinHouse in BuildingAction
Occurred when I attempted to purchase Nathan Fillion – pressed the button to buy and his chair popped out. When I attempted to move the chair to the location that I wanted to place it, the game stopped and the error popped up. Tried the basic troubleshooting of deleting/reinstalling – whenever I log in, the error pops up – on both iPhone and Android device.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!

I am having the same problem with the config empty error screen. I emailed tinyco. But have yet to receive a reply. Curious if anyone has had any luck in finding a way around it. Mine started after I started the nap on couch action for Stan lee.

Give them time to respond. I am waiting to hear back too. Contacting them is the correct thing as they need to look into the games impacted themselves so they can locate the issue.

Just got same error after sending Stan Lee to do the “sleep on coach in griffin house”. I uninstalled and reinstalled now I get the same message at loading screen. Contacted Tiny Co and sent you a email with game ID to track. I will let you know if I hear back. 🙂

It’s not cool that while Bryan Cranston was able to collect pesticides immediately after paying for him. But Nathan Fillion has to reach a couple of levels after he is bought for him to be able to collect harpoons which means I have to wait to start the 4th car challenge because I don’t want to start it before he is able to be useful to the challenge. Since in reality Bryan Cranston transfer from pesticides to harpoons is really crappy before he was dropping one of each kind of pesticides every 2 hours and now one drops 2 out of 3 kinds of harpoons every 4 hours it does not transfer fairly at all.

Fillion will effectively only cost 150 clams if you also bought Cranston and unlock(ed) Takei because of the group completion reward of 100 clams. This sounds quite like a bargain… 😉

So what do you think best plan is for harpoon attack? I’m figuring saving up about 20 of each and then start the task. Just do 3 each day – at 5/8/11 – and then let reset in 24 hours – sending everyone on harpoon tasks. That should be most efficient way to get 9 kills in 4 days. Then I can save a ton of harpoons to try for the 30x reward once I hopefully get the bike. Any thoughts?

I’m on part 5, forgot to have Quagmire “mix drinks” to finish of that quest before I just sent him to “host a sleep over” a few hours ago because I’ve been putting off that annoying task that takes 24 hours away from him and Patrick Stewart in PS’s questline… Been alternating Stewart between tasks to get pesticides and cameras for Stan Lee. I never realized the updates happened as you finished quest’s, I just assumed the game updated on some kind of set schedule, I.e-every Friday or something along those lines.

These are essentially a continuous flow…so one ends and another starts. So once Phase 4 is done…Phase 5 will start up.

Also Stewie has a 4 hour “Revise Harpoon Design” task that nets all three harpoons. Finally other characters can collect event drops!

Welp. I gave in and got Bryan Cranston last week because I had some extra iTunes credit, I didn’t buy him right away because I wanted to know if he was worth it and everyone seemed happy with their purchase. The next day the minions came, and suddenly my hopes of getting George were reinstated. Let me just state for the record before people cry that they can’t finish this without spending money, I don’t think it’s because of Bryan. I think the minions and my maze really pushed me into my comfort zone.
Today I splurged for Nathan, I felt like Tiny Co had given me enough clams in this event to give back to them…. And I needed captain tight pants in my life (I’ve met Nathan in RL and he is an incredibly sweet man)…
I think tiny co really gave everyone a shot with this update. With many characters with harpoon tasks, an increased multiplier, ect… I think this update will certainly help those who want to catch up do so.
Anyway…. I had a question…. Weren’t Stan, Felicia, and Ron supposed to come with chairs? What ever came of that? I don’t have them in my inventory.

I took them, my thought process being I can focus on getting harpoons while still keeping the minions out of my town. Very few characters working on bombs now, if they can get harpoons, they are.

Still the Demon Stewie appeared, no buildings have Latcher Stewies anymore and the mini Mutant Stewies have not dropped one item for Quagmire. Anyone else noticing?

I got the Latchers in my town. Just killed one that popped up. Was at my 3 hour mark. I got two Porno mags from Minions.

My latchers have been appearing as normal. Another should pop in a half hour. I’ve gotten 4 calculators & a lotion from them. Also got 3 porno mags from bombing early but haven’t had a drop from them in hours.

the first 90 minions I bombed didnt drop anything. but after that, the next 75 dropped 3 porno mags. Also bombs have started dropping normally from Blue Shirts again, there must have been a server side tweak.
Looks like Multiplier isn’t going to be a problem after all!

Latcher Stewies are definitely still there. I should get another one in about half an hour. And the minion Stewies do still drop things although they are very few and far between. I’ve unlocked everything and every character so far except this new phase stuff so they are only dropping porno mags for me. I’ve blasted a butt load so far and only got 1 mag

Same as before, it all depends on your haul of weapons. If they pile fast, go for it. If they are scarce…stay low til you build up…run a streak to get the bonus movie set…then back down again. All in how YOU play on what will benefit YOU most. 😉

So excited to get Nathan!! Is it wrong I just want him to stand there and water continually? Had decided with the clams I’ve earned in this update, I would get him if he was under 300. Hooray!!!
On the other hand, was really peeved that I had JUST collected 3 pesticides only for them to become worthless. The exchange isn’t bad, but it certainly isn’t good…

It looks like attacking Demon Stewie 9 times is going to be difficult in just 4 days starting with no harpoons and it takes so many more to attack him than it did with the pesticides. This is kinda disappointing cuz I have been bustin my butt to get the car prizes (one of my favorite challenges if the event)

If you had left over pesticides go into the store and exchange them for harpoons. It isn’t one for one exchange but every little helps after working hard to get the pesticides.

I started the event harping about how it is impossible for freemium players to achieve 100k blam! to win GT and set my mind to just play it for fun and see how far can i go. I was proven wrong as i’m at 84k blam! now. I think I’ll have 100k blam! by next week. As much as i’m annoyed by the sudden change from pesticides to harpoon and the very low, chance based exchange rate, i’ll just look at it from a positive side and hope for a great reward along the way. I even bought NF from the free clams i got from this event 😀

Seriously though, they gotta give us some more room. All these new buildings and deco theres no way to have a decent looking city with the amount of space vs all this stuff. I love it all and wanna keep it all but its impossible! Any word on some extra space? Who wants to work so hard to get something or spend money on clams to buy something to stick in the inventory? This is my only complaint with this entire event but its a big issue for me right now.

I’m not sure that this is update related, but for the past couple of days my game has been crashing frequently. I’ve sent Tiny Co a message, but I’m wondering if anyone else is noticing the problem.

Memory overload. Some older devices can’t handle all the activity. Poor WiFi. Too many apps running on the device (especially those still running in background, which is why I go into my app manager and shut them all down). Not enough memory space on the device available. TOO much going on in town ie WAY too many animated items and outdoor tasks. I would suggest storing any not in use and send characters not needed indoors.

Are you calling my iPhone 4s old, Bunny? Seriously though, thanks for the tips. It’s been happening on WiFi and cellular data so it’s probably not a network issue. I’ve tried storing a bunch of buildings and I’ll send people indoors once their tasks finish. With stewies, nerds, and those wizards from one of the non-event quests running around it may be too much for my phone…

Unlike Tapped Out I experience The Quest for Stuff to be extremely stable and this hasn’t changed. It was only one app release that constantly caused a crash upon exiting the game, but that was fixed. I have TQFS running perfectly fine on Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and a Moto G.

Just a little WTH??!! Lois & Chris no longer earn 12 Blam! when swimming in geek trash. Now they only earn 6 with this task. WHT??!! Might not mean that much to those earning big Blam! with minion Stewies, but to those who are well behind for whatever reason every little bit helps. WTH TinyCo!!

The rate they were originally set as was a Premium rate. They are regular characters. Their Premium skins are another story.

I was in the middle of a task with super hero chris whem i hot the update i was supposed to defeat the large mutant Stewie twice but now i can’t…will my task update at some point as well…also LOVE this site long time reader first time poster keep up the great work!

Well happy to have you around. Some of the tasks may trigger just before you get to that point. Give it a bit as you catch up to the next phase and it will eventually clear. 😉
If anything, you can always try the basics of force close, restart device, or with a linked to email or Facebook account…uninstall and reinstall the app…then log back in to that linked account.

The same thing happened for me, I am unable to finish “Blobulous Pt. 3” – Fight Giant Mutant Clone Stewie 2 Times, since the demon Stewie appeared, I had only 1/2 fights, at this point. Will we get another chance to finish this quest? Thanks in adv! 🙂

Did you attack Demon Stewie to see if it added to the defeat count? My guess is it will, but waiting verification.

I have the same task running and was worried. However, after defeating demon Stewie once the count for that task went up so it’s still possible to complete!

When does the timer start for the fourth vehicle?
Did the 4 day count down started when the new phase started?
Or will I have 4 days After i first vanquish the Demon Stewie?

Watch for the pop up in YOUR game. Once you see it triggered (sometime after Defeating the New Demon Stewie) then the timer will start. An icon of the trike with the countdown will then be visable in your task menu on the left side. It will start the 4 day countdown then.

The Blam is essentially the 135 base now. So same as before of Base times Multiplier for Blam! Payout. The Prize at the end of initial streak is a movie set.

My Make Chris Be Blobular quest is gone after doing the initial one to advance the storyline. So Quagmire is the only one that can get porn mags?

I have had 2 lotions to drop but only 1 counted(android), and around 100 minions killed since event started and no drops besides blam and a couple of coins.

Sometimes it takes a minute for the game to sync up. Force close it. Give it a minute. Then come back and see if the count refreshed.

Any one else see old timey harpoons drop but wind up with modern ones? Has happened 4 times so far.

Interesting. Will keep an eye on this. Can you give me more details? Where are they dropping from when this happens? Location? Character? Etc.
Also, please alert TinyCo to any glitches like this right away from your game Menu. We want to make sure any issues are fixed.

I can say it now without fear of jinxing myself. I’m sooooooo glad Nathan wasn’t in a prize box! And they came down on the price which was an added bonus! I’m loving the new demon Stewie as well as the mini game challenges they’re coming out with! I got my bomb statue and I’m close to getting Takei meme statue. Already got my townies working on harpoons and Quagmires outfit. Very nice update! And I have a decent amount of clams leftover! I’m still debating whether I want to try to get the Clamterprise again. But, even if I don’t get it I’m happy enough with all the rest of my stuff, especially new characters.

I see the countdown timer has been changed to just show the event ending date, like TinyCo did with the Full Moon event. Is it for the same reasons this time around?

I’m not showing the bike challenge or the action movie set prize. I’ve traded in my pesticides and bombed demon Stewie a few times. I have the Multiplier (Must! Get! Multiplier!) in my taskbar, as well as the clams+bombs special. Is there something I missed that triggers these new challenges?
I am glad other people have mentioned the increased difficulty in tapping minion Swtewies, I thought maybe my fingerpad was broken. Also, is Connie D’Amico ever good for anything? I’m thinking I wasted time in unlocking her. And I definitely wasted clams on Jake Tucker — at least Consuela and the horse still crack me up on occasion. 🙂

For me, the bike challenge showed up after my initial first attack on Demon Stewie. It may trigger at a different point for you. I got Felica’s dialog before Peter’s in one game. And Peter’s before Felicia’s in another. It just depends.
The Movie set is awarded when you defeat the demon on a streak. Keep going and going til you reach the very top. (1X. 3X. 8X. 15X, 30X).
