Now that is out of the way, if you continue playing through the questline AND have Stewie’s hidden task after winning his gift, you will trigger “Dry as a Fruitcake”. Part 1 of this is to “Have Stewie Borrow Something Sharp”. You will first off need to have Stewie unlocked in your game (District 8), and he will perform the task at the Griffin’s House. On top of all this…you ALSO need to have the latest version of the game. So, if you are NOT on 1.5.5, you will most likely NOT see this task until you update.

So the final phase of Christmas hit our games yesterday…and with Bunny and I taking the day to spend with our families we’re a little behind & left you all hanging a little bit. Sorry about that…but we (and our families) appreciated the time together. 🙂

So because this is the last week of Christmas in Quahog (ends 12/31)…you can upgrade the tree twice this go round! As long as you’re at Cheer Level 8 you can fully upgrade your tree!

I was confused because when I finished the wish list and got Santa I didn’t get the rabid reindeer nor the snowmobile, but when I spent 75 clams to get Angel Bruce, then I got the items. It’s all good and I’m happy for the cool things this event came with, not to mention the epic decision to have all members of KISS in our Quahog towns. Other than that even though I enjoy and love this game, I get very stressed out giving me high blood pressure when tasks are timed and long. It’s just me because I never liked challenges since I was a kid. I cannot enjoy hard challenges without getting all sick for being stressed out.

So I have all of the characters except Santa and Angel Bruce, but once I get Santa (still working on getting the cookies to wrap the presents) I’m just going to forget about the yeti (considering the 100,000 cookie reward) and then focus on all of the open-ended tasks that I have, specifically for Jesus and John. This event has to be my favorite! Although, it was VERY clam dependent and although they gave you a lot of chances to earn clams, I couldn’t earn enough to buy everything, so I had to buy clams.. I still haven’t gotten every clam purchase, but I’m happy with what I did get =) You guys are AWESOME to be doing this! I would have been lost without this website!!

Another point for the people asking about Stewie’s 2 hour task Borrow Something Sharp – it is a building dependent quest, requires the Hospital to do it (because its not an event related building, it doesn’t show up on Stewies task list, even when there is a quest requiring it.) A second point, many people put off the quests waaaaaaay to long, and end up getting several on the list that need to be done before the flags will pop that allow these timed quests to even appear.

Anyone else finding the feathers considerably more difficult to get than the vests? I suppose it doesn’t help that I can only get them from Bruce and Seamus…

Yeah, I’ve had Seamus and Bruce going nonstop since the release and only have 2/5… The new gift box does unlock a winter facade for city hall which will also have a chance to drop a feather but its only every 12h… Out of 13 chances (when I started counting) I’ve had just one feather drop., much lower than 40-60% rare drop rate. I didn’t contact tinyco because it could just be bad luck on my part, but I may now that I know someone else has the same issue.

Look in your inventory for Santa. The Reindeer for him out of the Gift Box is mobile, and smaller…so look to your sidewalks as that will be where the animal roams.

Bruce isn’t a Yeti fighter. He clears reindeer, like Babs. To bad you couldn’t stop Yeti level advancement. So instead of going to King Yeti (35 life and probably difficult with just the earned characters) you can stay on Tophat Yeti which is still doable with them and earn the 25 stockings four time to get the 100 for Jesus.

I was being general. To focus on obtaining the Free Characters and items as the player can’t spend clams. Regardless of what they do. If all the boxes clear, Santa pays out 100,000 cookies to help with Jesus.

So I have 59 snowflake socks right now and I have Lois, Mort, Joe and John that can attack the Yeti. I also have 1 one of the building that gives these socks. The Yeti will start over on Viking in the morning (in ~10 hours), do you think I can get the remaining socks in 4d 13h.

A question about the Yeti – Top Hat has 24 health, I believe I can take him down with Joe, Lois, Mort and John. Then comes King Yeti – do you know how much health he has? Would I be needing an extra character (Angel/Jesus) in order to beat him?

There is still a clock on King Yeti. I think you are mistaken the quest to defeat him to get the Yeti to keep which has no timer.

Make sure it is actually your inventory and NOT your store menu you are looking at. Biggest give away is you have to go through a few taps to get to it…and NOTHING will show a price. If you see prices…you are in the menu.

Make sure you continue playing the main questline, have Stewie, have his Santa Wish List Gift, and have enough room in your task menu to pop up and trigger the new questline.

I got very lucky with the freemium box. Got a total of 100 clams and 15 Sleigh Bell Stockings. So I got the wishlist items very fast ^^ (and used the clams to buy paul).
Now I only need Angel Bruce and puppy brian. That wrapping paper just seems to refuse to drop for me… Any chance that we’ll be able to exchange cookies for wrapping paper (Similar to what we could at the end of halloween)?

Yeah, I observed about a 20% drop rate for the wrapping paper. Remember that only the “nice” shoppers (the ones with dark scarves) can drop it. Even when I managed to get five or more nice shoppers with a single bomb, I almost never got more than one wrapping paper out of it.

I know Gene tweeted he was in the game, so I will assume he would have given permission for his character to be voiced. I am a little on the low Clam side so am a little reluctant to buy the KISS band members. 250 seems a little steep (200 for Gene, 100 for Paul with the 50 award back for getting the Front Men group). Maybe if I get enough for Paul from the gift box, I’ll do it.

? If you are just trying to unlock the option to battle King Yeti, you just want to make sure your Tree is update completely first…then play the questlines. No Clams needed.

Not really…it’ll take a lot of luck from the 3 freemium characters that can clear him (well 4 if you have Jesus)

If you are counting Jesus then yes.
Minimum attacks would get you 4 from the head start and 5 each for 5 rounds for a total of 29 health points.that means you would need the attacks to be the better attack only 6 times out of 23 attacks. If you spent only 4 clams near the end of a round of attacks you would be able to squeeze in a 6th round of attacks that would finish before the timer making it possible with all but 2 of 27 minimum attacks for only 4 clams.
Without Jesus you could get a maximum of 4 from headstart and a maximum of 6 each round for 5 rounds for a total of 34 so with only mort Lois and Joe it is impossible to beat king yeti with out spending at least 1 clam and even then would require extreme luck to always get 2 per attack.

Possible, but not guaranteed. The max points you can do, assuming 6 attacks from Jesus, Joe, and Mort, and 5 from Lois (via having the three guys attacking the sleeping Top Hat Yeti), is 52. The minimum (5 for Jesus, 6 for everyone else) is 28. Without Jesus the numbers are 34 and 17, so it’s impossible.
I can vouch that adding John and Gene to the mix make it a cakewalk. I’ll have him beat my first time with 9hrs left.
That 100,000 cookie revelation is huge. Now I just need to free up some people I was using to farm cookies (via Furbals and Yeti-slaying) to finish quests so that the Yeti Death quest will pop. Once that’s done, I no longer need to fight the Yeti at all.

I apologize, but I don’t seem to see any mention of Samsung devices having problems … I’m currently using a Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and haven’t had any problems, if anything the game seems to be working much better than when the Halloween event was around. I wonder if TinyCo has plans for burning off excess crafting materials and cookies? I cleared the wish list AFTER I’d crafted everything else and got fairly lucky with the cookie mystery box, so that’s no longer an option. I have over 100,000 cookies! Seems like a waste. 😦

About the Reindeer… He actually walks around like the demented elf deco! I thought i lost him too lol. Go searching around your side walks and you should be able to find him. Just FYI tho, he walks like a normal smaller deer. Not like the ones that Babs and Angel Bruce can take down 🙂

Babs will have emptied the gift box long before Bruce gets his wings. In some ways it is fine to finish on Boxing Day but it does seem strange the final challenge is one day long. I’ve probably missed something, though.
What are the 100,000 cookies for? The gifts do not repeat. There is nothing to buy but Christmas tat – some of the Halloween bits look fine after the season but most of the Christmas stuff already bought will go to storage. What are we meant to use the cookies for? And nothing to trade for the accumulated materials.
Plus I can’t work out how to start Stewie’s Dry as a Fruitcake questline. The first task doesn’t exist for me.

Having some issues with it.
So here are my 5 questions I’ve gotten no response from TC yet.
I purchased Paul Stanley, but do not have the Do you see what I see quest line?
I received elf Peter but did not get the elf too fat for a shelf quest line.
No week 4 challenge. I’ve read it unlocks after a very Jewish Christmas which I can’t do yet because I’m still 2+ days from unlocking Brian let alone districts 7 and 8 for the theater and restaurant needed to finish them. Weird that I don’t even have part 2, as it didn’t stop it from giving me the quest line that needs Stewie without having him. BUT according to their FAQ it unlocks after unlocking Angel Bruce as you write here. Can anyone confirm having it before unlocking Angel Bruce.
Does anyone know how to get the king yeti quest? I am letting mine reset and hope to figure out where to get the quest before a run through all 5. Any way to give up on the current king to start it over quicker?
Now I have everything from the sleigh bell gift box but it’s still available with 1500 cookies as the prize, I’m guessing a quest to open one anyone know where to start that also.
So that’s 5 quest lines I should have going with possibly only one that I know why it absent started.

It sounds like you may have TOO MANY quests going. Clear some out to make room for new ones.
As far as the Gift Box, they will remain there so you can clear the quest line that asks for you to clear on. So until that is done, they will stay.
King Yeti…have you done the final Tree Upgrade? This launch gave us two. Once at 6 Holiday Cheer and the Final Tree at 8 Holiday Cheer.

After reindeer games part 3 or 4 (not sure which as 4 finished right away as I already had the sugar lick) I got the Paul Stanley do you see what I see quest, the defeat king yeti quest, and an unlock Angel Bruce quest, still no Jewish Christmas part 2, weekly challenge, elf on a shelf quests though.

Well I have way more than that post says is max I have 25 right now. And that couldn’t have been what prevented the elf peter quest because when I finished the reindeer one with Peter and quagmire I got 3 or 4 new ones.

If you finished one and got more…that could be EXACTLY the issue. You have a back log, regardless from where…regular, District, Event, Etc…they all line up…then pop up as you clear the one prior. You honestly have WAY too many running if you count 25 icons (the sale ones…like for clams… usually don’t count).

John McLane, KISS, Santa and Jesus…. TinyCo have really outdone themselves on this event! Seth McFarlane will have to work overtime to keep the show cranking out new content to stay ahead of the game at this rate. The 100k cookies were a nice surprise, though I’m secretly hoping they release a few more decorations to spend these on (I’d love one of those adorable Furbals to keep, for example).

Maybe it’s me, but it appears that the event pays the bulk for the premium characters. What I mean by that, with all the opportunities to get clams (gift box, Jesus, snowmen/procrastinators removal) it seems that this event really made it easy to acquire clams and pick up new characters. In the end, I didn’t spend that much and what I did was nearly recuperated.

That happened to me as well. I hard closed and waited and bit and then went back in and found him.

I’ve almost killed the king yeti but no sign of the quest.
When does it appear and should I hold off killing it?

Hold off if you can…save you some time. But there’s no limit on it so you can defeat him and then just defeat him again when the quest appears. It should trigger by Peter after the clam popup

I have a new quest called “Dry as a fruitcake” that part 1 requires Stewie to borrow some thing sharp, however that action is not in his list to do. Anyone else having this problem?

it should be there. Try hard closing and restarting the game. See if that helps

So once you defeat King Yeti he’s yours and you no longer néed to keep attacking him? Don’t really see the point anyway since you really don’t need the items received after defeating him.
