Hello There Clammers!
Looks like TinyCo was back in the office today…and saw many of your complaints about characters used to help get items to unlock Jillian and her apartment. And they’ve added a whole bunch of new tasks for different characters to help you unlock Jillian faster!
So if you’re stuck with the same old characters doing the tasks (especially ones needed to complete the main questline)…now a bunch of Christmas Characters can earn the items as well!
Here’s a complete breakdown of who can earn what (new characters and old) in your quest to bring Jillian to Quahog…
Oh and we answer some common questions we’re seeing about the end date, mystery box and more below…
To unlock Jillian:
15 White Eggs (Uncommon)- Get From: Make Peter Dance the Shipoopi OR Make Joe Visit the Gun Range OR Get From James Woods High OR Get from Anal Point OR Make Jake Tucker Be Normal
NEW Added Today: Make Japer teach Aerobics OR Make Gene Play KISS Pinball

Remember….in order to get Jillian you’ll need to unlock her apartment. In order to unlock her apartment you’ll need to collect the above items and then go to the Rite of Passage Tower.
From there you’ll see the popup of what you’ve collected vs what you still need:
Also…I know many of you are asking when the event ends. Well per TinyCo..they currently don’t have a set end date. Once we know we’ll pass it along to you guys. However, I can tell you you will have longer than just this weekend to complete everything. So take your time and don’t rush with clams! 🙂
Oh and another common question we’re seeing in the comments. If you get all the items (Hat, Glasses, Champagne & Noise Maker) BEFORE doing the Mystery Box do they disappear from the box…thus making the odds of you getting clams greater?
Well…I did just that. I completely unlocked Jillian and got everything I needed THEN tackled my Mystery Box. And sadly…I STILL got Hats..despite having absolutely no use for them. So unless TinyCo changes it between now and the end of the event…use your cookies now. Don’t save it in hopes for better box odds.
Also…USE YOUR COOKIES! There’s no other use for them at this point BUT the box. So use them in the box & don’t save them for anything else. (and no…there’s no other way to get cookies at this point)

Does completing the rite of passage and making the ball drop close the mystery box even if you haven’t gotten the decoration prizes? Does it remain open until you’ve exhausted all the decorations and item drops as well? Thank you.

I cant unlock Jillian. I have her apartment and all of her items, but when I click the golden unlock button, my game crashes and I get an error message

I contacted them ingame. They said it was a known issue and the engineer are working on it… but its been a few days now.
I hope its before I need Jillian for Tuxedo Brian. Or before the end of the event…
I cant screencap the error message, its a galaxy s4 system error and the screencap function doesnt work when the error message is displayed

Argh! I’ve had Babs trying on jewelry, and puppy Brian playing ball pretty much constantly. Not once have either of them dropped the stupid glasses. Fortunately, the buildings have dropped them fairly consistently. I haven’t tried Bruce’s task (seriously, isn’t Bruce busy enough in this event?).
Okay, I just needed to vent. It’s not really a big deal because Bruce will be picking kittens for many more hours anyway. (And the play ball task is the cutest in the game, IMHO.)

Now that my balls have dropped (giggity), and I’ve collected Jillian’s apartment, the Rite of Passage Tower is just a decoration. I tried to stash it in my inventory, but a msg from Peter pops up saying it’s “too important to store.” Any idea what else we’ll be using it for?

I think it has to stay in town until the event is over. Just part of the coding..

I had 9/10 champagne glasses and now it reset back to 0/10. Anyone else having this problem? I let tiny Co know .

I’ve seen a few posts on Facebook where people are complaining about the game freezing when they try to unlock Jillian. My wife and I had the same problem until last night. Jillian suddenly unlocked for my wife, but still hasn’t for me. If this is an issue, shouldn’t it be across the board? We have the same phones, have been playing for the same amount of time, and pretty much have the same stuff.

I know there are a lot of various glitches with this event…in particular Jillian. I honestly suggest contacting TinyCo via your game and letting them know what’s going on. The more reports the quicker they are to act..

I’ve got to say, TinyCo has improved so much with their events (drop rates, time limits, closing out events, etc.) since I started playing before Indiana Jones. Thank you for passing along our feedback and making this game so great!

Noticed was getting nothing and no award was showing from the founding father building or the pharmacy, you have to remove the christmas snow before the chance they will pay out the stuff needed.

Yeah, I meant after the NYE event. I hope they do take a break and open up the next district, I have some main storyline stuff I need to catch up on but keep putting off to keep up with the special events. At least it’s never boring!

Its not a huge complaint, but I’d like it if you could round up the last bit of cookies to get one last box with the remainder. I don’t like having wasted stuff, I guess. Also, I love they are having stuff from a past event in a current event. Rewarding loyalty is a good move. I’d like if in the future random characters and skins offered ways to speed up unlocks and such. Spending clams on random characters (here’s looking at you, brain damaged horse) would feel much more satisfactory.

Well…they could have just got rid of the cookies when they event ended like the normal Event items. I quite like they are at least offering options now and then to use those “extras” for MORE Free stuff. 😉
They are starting to incorporate more and more of the Clam bought characters, that I do like. Makes me feel better about buying them for more than a “one time use” 🙂

There is a sound glitch that an update patch coming should help resolve. It impacted mainly iOS users.

Last night before bed, I made all my “not involved in this event” characters do their longest jobs. Most of them were 24 hour tasks. I wake up this morning and see they added a bunch of them to this quest line ( not complaining ). Oh well, I’m not spending my coins to make them finish early. So it looks like John will spend the day at his infamous tower and Santa is stuck doing hard time without parol. Lol

Remind only one that’s frustrated that after he is in the box you ended up with leftover cookies you can do nothing with I have 6950 cookies left and since there’s nothing else to spend them on with the Mistry box the Mistry box cost 10,000 cookies and there’s no additional way to earn cookies those are a complete loss in my opinion if they knew they were going to do a 10000 cookie Mistry box they should’ve rounded everybody’s total to the nearest 10,000 or offered a Mistry box for fewer cookies that offered additional items also I might only one that used all the cookies they could on the mystery box and did not win any clams

Me personally…I am grateful to have ANY use for leftovers. Regardless if it is not to the very last one. At least I got more FREE STUFF to use towards the next event. They could have just terminated everything like in past events and took all the Event Currency with the Event. 😉

I blew through my cookies immediately. 1st drop was 50 clams, then thug deer, snowman, and mall Santa (I believe I need to go back to my game and check). I recieved a few items I needed like a hat or the other things. Now I’m left with 700 cookies.

I got enough Cookies for 11 oder 12 boxes.
I opened all in a row.
Got the deer, the snowman, the mall santa and some from the collectibles. (Glases, hat and such stuff.) And now i’m missing about 400 Cookies for another try. Event endet bevore i got another 10k Cookies. (I assumed a box will cost 10k and i was right about it)

Yes. There is an issue with Sound that will be fixed in an upcoming patch. Hang in there.

I also noticed that a bunch of characters that had a 24 hour task that gave cheer and cookies, now give nothing. Predator, George Takei, Mr Weed, Consuela’s costume and others. Not just those but other times and characters have this issue too. Basically if the task once gave cookies and cheer it now gives nothing.

The easter egg booth is from a xmas episode. Jillian is so stupid she.doesn’t even know what holiday it is.
Specifically its from the song where everybody says what they want for xmas from the 2 part episode where stewie and brian try to kill santa. Road to the north pole is the episode name

I like the synergy of characters between events. I wish the stockings could have been cashed out for cookies too. If not then after opening the gifts, all of the frosty taping and shopper bombing was for nothing. What was the point of Jesus helping kill the Yeti if the stockings he drops were then worthless? I liked in previous events where left over items could be recycled at the end of the event. But the touch of using the cookies as a jump start on New Years was a nice idea.

Previous events didn’t recycle. It is only recently that they are carrying over some of the Event Currency. In the past, if an Event ended…Everything went with it. No extras. I am personally happy they are at least giving us MORE chances at Free Stuff. Other games don’t really offer that at al.

If I bought the apartment for 100 clams, is there a need to finish the ball drop or collect the hat and noise makers? The option to drop no longer exists, it just says more info but still allows me to gather items for the drop.

You shouldn’t need to…but it doesn’t hurt to do it. (you’ll see be able to collect for it because technically you didn’t clear it)

There’s been some weird things happening in my little town like I didn’t all the way unlock jasper during the Christmas event but once the event ended he appeared as a unlocked character like i could do taskes and stuff with him but now he’s locked and sitting in the middle of my town with a 6 day timer on him and odviously I can’t get the buildings and stuff for him because that stuff went away with the rest if the event and I normally don’t buy clams so I can’t just buy here with a few hundred clams
and another thing that’s weird is a few hours ago I was going through my inventory and I find the bitch stewie machine in there so I pull out of inventory and place in my town and the bitch stewie character is next to it (which I didn’t unlock in the first place) and now I can’t put away because theirs a note that keeps popping up that says I can’t put it away until the character that popped out of it is completely unlocked
I’m sorta confused by all this Sonoma wondering if you guys could give me an explanation or something of what is happening in my town

Jasper was unlocked for some due to a glitch issue. If he is locked again, you will have to reach out to them on that one. As far as Bitch Stewie…that is a known glitch they are working on with him hanging out still. Just report it through your game menu to them.

I’ve just finished the rite of passage. I had Jillian’s apartment and character unlocked. I’m on the questine New Years bunny part 4. What does the rite of passage do? I did get 10 clams after dropping the balls. Is there a quest that goes with it?

Nope…it’s just there. Jillian does have a questline, which will be covered in another post.

I noticed facepage went from 44 to 49(in my case) which means 5 new characters, one obviously Jillian and I saw Pawtucket Pat. Any idea who are the other 3?

Chipping away but this seems entirely manageable. I made Mort a happy camper with this event as he now has 6 banks in which he can squirrel away his money 😉

If you happen to have a lot of coins, you can build multiple banks (for 500 coins each), and when the build finishes, you get a noisemaker automatically! Its worked every time for me 3 times in a row so far, plus the regular drops… I only need 2 more which I should have in the morning!

sOoOoO after you’ve collected ALL of the noise makers, what are you gonna do with the extra banks?
just wondering if you can sell them or would you have to store em in inventory til who knows how long?lol…might have to try this out if it starts taking foreverrr getting all 10 noise makers lol.

I was SO happy that they added additional helpful tasks. Unfortunately it seems that the drop rates have plummeted in exchange. So basically, it’s like nothing changed. *kicks dirt*

Even after the update today my game doesn’t have all the needed tasks. Like Bruce being a good listener doesn’t show the champagne glasses. The are a few others that aren’t there and none of the ones added today show up. Any ideas what to do?
My game keeps crashing when I visit friends and when it does I lose clams. I sent in a ticket awhile ago, but as with other issues, I haven’t heard back.

I did get a Thug Deer but also got 2 things I didn’t need. With 8 chances left at the Snowman and Mall Santa I’m going to wait till the end and see if maybe TinyCo adjusts the box on the fly. If not I’ll just blow them towards the end of the event anyway.

I just wish there was a smaller box to use cookies with… i have over 7 grand still, which as you know is a TON of them, but even that many wont get anything. Oh well…

So I just started my daughter on the tablet version of fg. But she is 7 and has no fb. She loves it but asks why She doesnt get snow and all the cool stuff I do. And my wife a while back had the same issues. Why can’t you get the events unless your up in the ranks? And why is new years starting now?

You have to at least be on level 3 to get the events to start. And New Year’s started on New Year’s Day..
