Out with the animals and in with the meatheads! Phinease, Barnaby & Steroid Stewie have arrived in Quahog!
More details as we go through them…Details below the fold…
NOTE: TIMED EVENT. You will have 5 days to unlock both Phineas and Barnaby once you build. Also note that the event ends on January 27th…so make sure you build BEFORE the event ends.
UPDATE BUNNY: Here are some Clarifications on things we are seeing asked…
1: Is Rupert Event Only? YES! He will go with the Event, so make sure you get him before the Event ends on the 27th.
2: Completed Character Collection but don’t see my 100 Clams? There will not be a Clam icon in the game when this completes. Sometimes it takes a lil bit for your game to sync. If you don’t see them added to your total, Force Close your game and check your Clam count again. Facespace will show the checkmark that it is complete if the Clams were added.
3: Will I have 5 full days to complete the Characters once the buildings are placed? YES!! As long as the buildings are purchased and in your Quahog, you will still have the full 5 days to unlock Phineas & Barnaby. So make sure you have those buildings placed BEFORE the event ends on the 27th.
4: How far in the game do I need to be to see the Event? You just need to have Bruce unlocked (District 2) in order to see it.
5: What are your thoughts on unlocking BOTH at the same time? There are benefits to both sides. On one side, it is simpler to not stack Characters and be able to focus on collection for one at a time. On the other side, the Bike Shoppe DOES help drop Steaks… so there is that. 😉
First, let me note that Rupert is back! You can pick him up for 250 Clams (and the Bare Tanning Salon)…
Rupert will help you get Phineas and Barnaby…so he’s not a bad investment if you don’t already have him!
Now onto the new stuff…
Buildings…
The Sweaty Clam- $4,000, 30s Build, Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Build to find Phineas.
Old Timey Bike Shoppe- $4,500, 4hr Build. Earns $30, 20xp/4hrs. Build to find Barnaby.
Art of Chesthair- $20,000, 20hr Build. Earns $40, 25xp/6hrs.
Penny Arcade- $2,500. 16hr Build. Earns $60, 40xp/12hrs.
Quahog Boxing Gym- 35 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Drops more Joggers in your Quahog. (Earns 5 Male and 5 Female/8hrs)
BULGE- 25 Clams, Earns $60, 45xp/12hrs
Quahog Diner- 75 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Always drops Eggs.
Jamie Mack’s House of Steaks- 50 Clams, Earns $45, 30xp/8hrs. Always drops Steak.
Decorations
Shoe-pa-cabra- $2,500.
Joggers
Male and Female Joggers will appear in your Quahog. (Note female won’t appear until after part 3 of the main questline) Tap them to clear them. Clearing them drops items you’ll need for Phineas and Barnaby.
Male Jogger- Drops Triangular Weights and Eggs
Female Jogger- Drops Triangular Weights and Steak
For the Spawn Rates on BOTH Joggers…
They will Spawn every 3-4 hours for a MAX of 10 each in your Quahog at one time. So TOTAL MAX of 20. (10 Males & 10 Females.)
New Characters
Phineas- Comes with The Sweaty Clam. Unlock him by collecting STUFF. Here’s what you’ll need to get to unlock him:
60 Triangular Weights (Common)- Earned From: Clearing Male Jogger OR Clearing Female Jogger
10 Steaks (Extra Rare)- Earned From: Make Human Rupert Chat on the Phone OR Get From Jamey Mack’s House of Steaks OR Get From Old Timey Bike Shoppe OR Get by Clearing Female Jogger

Barnaby- Comes with the Old Timey Bike Shoppe. Unlock him by collecting STUFF. Here’s what you’ll need to get to unlock him:

HE IS TIMED. You’ll have 5 days to unlock once you build.
Steroid Stewie- 200 Clams. Once purchased you’ll be able to craft him in Al Harrington’s. Takes 10 minutes to create.

That’s as far as i’ve gotten so far. I will have the full details in the walkthrough.
Feel the Burn is the questline to unlock Phineas.
Feed the Beast is the questline to unlock Barnaby
And that my friends concludes the details on this little event we have going on in our Quahogs. Remember…this will end on Tuesday Jan. 27th so be sure to build the items needed for Phineas and Barnaby before then. Also remember you’ll have 5 Days to unlock both Barnaby and Phineas once you build their buildings. So don’t let time run out on you!

I am debating whether to get Rupert or wait to get a few more clams and buy Cleveland, so does anyone know which is more useful during events? Also I would like to know if Rupert is going to stay as a permanent premium character even after the event. Thanks 🙂

Any Character/skin you buy is permanent. 😉
I personally like Cleveland better, but mainly due to he is one of the guys. However is Rupert is last on your Character completion list… you get 100 Clams back to use for another Character.

54 of 60 weights 7 of 10 steaks 3 of 5 enhancers on phineas and I’m freemium on this except the fact I got Rupert months ago

I wish I had read this beforecI built the 2 of them… Oops. One thing I don’t though: if Bonnie or Lois get something for going to ladies’ night, how come Francine doesn’t? I wish they would give these limited edition characters more involvement.

Haven’t really played around with the idea. I would think if you want to spend the Clams to do so, you are welcome to… however I am clearing them just fine without the extra Clam items. 🙂

I finally broke down and spent money on clams. I had to have Rupert and pumped up Stewie. I’m well on my way to unlocking Phineas and Barnaby. I already have 46 weights in less than a day. They seem to be attainable working on both at once. Drop rates aren’t too bad.

I started both carechters at the same time but i think ill be fine, the weights are coming in at a good rate and ive dropped some extra rares alredy. Hope tiny co lets us keep the joggers as a roaming npc like the xmas event. They should have done it with american dad too. Not for clams tough!!! Pretty please ahah

So I’m not going to be able unlock both in 5 days u can only get a maximum of 15 performance enhancers if u don’t have stewie skin and u need 13 in total. So unless it’s an always drop I just can’t see getting both. I’m not trying to be negative and I know tiny co may change things, I’m just making an observation on my current chances. I am more positive about hoping for the last few clams to buy rupert.

This is pretty solid. I’ll take whatever they give us to keep me busy until the time machine works. I’m really looking forward to that. Hopiing for some Flintstones houses or futuristic Quahog.

I’m tired of playing against the clock, this isn’t a racing game, COME ON.
And It seems that they will add all the remaining characters as limited offers, if you missed one, well TOO BAD you wasn’t able to get him/her, and if he ever come back, you will have to pay to unlock him.
I hope Neil, the Death and the Evil Monkey will be part of the upcoming districts and no a side character that we will have to unlock in St. Patrick Day, or any other day you have in the States.
It may sound like a rant, but come on, I think even some people who like to pay for things in game, are tired of spending 10 bucks for a single COSTUME every week.
And I don’t want to say anything on “how useful are the premium stuff post events”

Seeing so many negative comments on here is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Yeesh!!!
So you think Stewie’s expensive … Don’t buy him! Nobody said you had to have it all and even if you do, all you get is bragging rights!
So you have waited FOREVER for Pawtucket Pat; Tinyco dropped an announcement that he will show up next update.
So you got no clams and don’t intend to get any. Fine, but don’t expect those who feel it’s acceptable to purchase to stop buying because your enjoyment is obviously not at the same level as theirs.
Lastly, BUNNY and ALISSA are NOT employees of Tinyco! They have built this site because of a need for clarification in the FGQFS, so here is a forum to discuss our discoveries in. They VOLUNTEER their time, they could just as easily shut it down and go back to their regularly scheduled work-life. They are just like you all and they have to pay for their iTunes/Google Play cards just like you do! Quit whining!

It happens every time they release an update. This once (IMO) is actually really nicely balanced. 2 freemium characters and 1 premium skin. It’s a good balance.

upon first look I thought you could only earn steaks & eggs via premium characters with no freemium option! thankfully that’s not the case (though uncomfortably close). so far earning steaks isn’t a problem but I have 0 eggs. ugh. 5 days may not be a freemium option… fingers crossed.
250 for rupert?!? *sigh* it doesn’t matter that you get 100 back via facespace, I don’t have the clams upfront… oh well…

So pumped Rupert is here benn waiting for ever for him they are putting to many events in the game bunny I mean Halloween to American dad to Christmas to New Years and tons of little quests and events so I’m not saying stop events but just its a lot to handle when I’m in district 8 only

It’s actually pretty doable. I’ve gotten like 40 weights during just today! The weights drop easy so don’t worry! Plus I’m unlocking both at the same time too 🙂

I am so excited about this event. I actually randomly asked TinyCo if they were ever going to add Rupert back and they said they had no plans, but would put it in the next discussion. Now I actually get the chance to buy him, so I’m excited. Also TinyCo always does a great job at making the game interesting. Great job to you ladies as well for adding the info really quickly.

Ok this is crazily exciting.it either seems tiny co has actually the time to read every comment or they can already read our minds.I recently expressed my opinion on the last “blah blah thread” about how cool it would be if they made an event where we’d have to bomb our roaming-Quahog fat kids from fat camp like the last minute shoppers ,devil kids etc.It may be an alternative version as in they’re joggers and all they require is tapping(which I would say is much better) but it feels as if they listened-well actually read-liked and brought it to life!I may be overthinking this but if that is just a coincidence…..right on!!!hmmmm,now that I come to think of it,we do have two naughty girls here.that’s a positive statement of course.well anyhow,all I can say (after all this yip yapping) is thanks!! 🙂

Wow, these characters were definitely a surprise! I just hope TinyCo doesn’t get in a habit of these almost weekly premium costumes that cost a good chunk of change. (Was a little disappointed to see Stewie only bad one animation after spending 200 clams on him.)
I do however think the premium building prices are VERY fair this time around. Bought the Boxing Gym because I love how it looks. May buy the other two too.

I too was very disappointed to see one animated task. I think a joint task where he’s blocking Brian should’ve been a no brainer.
Fortuantely my Stewie is all leveled up and I can just leave him walking around aimlessly.

Great job as always ladies, you guys are lifesavers on these timed events.
I had a quick question; In the mini FAQ above you mentioned getting 100 Clams for character completion – is there a clam reward for getting both characters that I missed, or is this simply referring to the different clam rewards for finishing a row of characters on Facespace?

Clam rewards in FaceSpace… for many… all they were missing was Rupert… so he completed the collection and they got the payout for that group.

So if I want Rupert and only have 131 clams what can I do. Purchasing clams is not possible. I can’t afford to spend money in this game.

Than you go without. That is being honest and to the point. All of us started out at one point with nothing and all of us worked to get where we are today. Whether earning Clams as we went or Buying them. Those are the ONLY options. So… you make choices, if you can’t afford it… then you can’t and move on hoping the item returns later when you can. 🙂

I agree. I am actually sitting in a very nice spot right now. I have finished the Pawtucket Pat tasks for this go ’round and am just biding my time till the next update, next week. They were sweet enough to drop a ‘coming soon’ announcement. 😉
That being said, even though I have started the quest, I am taking my time with it. I don’t really know how much I want ‘roid’ Stewie. Didn’t much care for that episode something about it just sat wrong with me. Well, except for when he woke up deflated and turned into a flying squirrel, now THAT’S a costume I might consider HEEHEE I’ve long since had Rupert, so no hurry there. But I’m not spoiling anyone’s fun, either. Go hard, collectors! Have fun getting that Stewie, I’ll sit this one out and live vicariously 😉

Bunny be honest…is steroid stewie worth the clams? $$$ is not a problem for me (not showing off) but lately there’s been a lot of EA type of deals in FG all at once and not evenly spread out like TSTO does. 200 clams (10$$).

HAHAHAHAH… you know, we hear the SAME complaint on TSTO… reversed? Cracks me up. There will ALWAYS be Premiums offered, so there will always be choices for ALL players.
You have til the end of the event to decide. I am working on a Do I Want on him and will prob have it up… tomorrow ish. I want to play the Character in the game for a bit to get a feel for it before deciding. He was JUST released. Patience. 😉

I would say, NO! I too have no problem affording it but $10 for a skin with only one animation is way too much as far as I’m concerned. I’ve noticed that TinyCo is getting lazy with the animations lately. The only way we can send them a message is to not buy them though. I’ve made a line in the sand and I’m not buying them at current levels. If they choose to bring them back to reasonable, or put some more effort into the animations, them I’ll buy again.

I’m planning on sitting out on this event. It’s not that I don’t like it, I think it’s great, but I’m short on clams and may not get Rupert or Steroid Stewie by the time the event is over. I’m also trying to save cash in order to clear more space in my game. I’m just hoping that me not participating in this event will lock me out in any future events.
PS: Still waiting on other characters like Death, Evil Monkey, and Niel Goldman.

Play as YOU want. If nothing appeals to you… then pass it up and stay on District 10. No one will think any less of you. 🙂

Sometimes we see a fan favorite resurface or get a little action, but Tinyco doesn’t use one character exclusively to get those required items. So you’re pretty safe if you don’t feel like getting in on this one, I think.

I love Rupert so purchased him the first time around. Steroid Stewie is expensive so am going to see how it goes. Do you recommend building and starting the timer on both Phineas and Barnaby or collecting stuff for Phineas and then starting on Barnaby?

Now that everyone has got there yada yada yada’s out. I have been at the brewery to long, so here it goes. I have been hanging with brian downing a brew every 2 hours and im feeling fine. Wow there is so much stuff going on. That’s why I love this website. All I hear is complaining, yet when I look at some of the pics, and I see them at over 1,200 clams, I feel a little jealous. Keep it up for this website. If it wasn’t for you guys, I wouldn’t know what to do.

Went n bought me a play store card as usual n got all the buildings n stewroid can’t pass up on two characters n a awesome skin don’t c y ppl play this game if they don’t allow their selfs to enjoy it I mean that is the whole point of the game n its also funny how ppl say money can’t buy happiness well I just bought a whole lot of it lol 😉 I’m a premium player n I can say by far that tiny co has released more than enough freemium items for everyone to enjoy US premium players have to get some kind of exclusive items that freemium players can’t for the simple fact they wouldn’t have money to build such an awesome game if everything was FREE now with that said will everyone crying about this n that either go play another game suck it up n keep playing n ENJOY THE GAME or just buy u a card n enjoy the feeling of helping one of the greatest companies build the very awesome game that we play and very much enjoy THANK YOU 🙂

One at a time will work. Just make sure when you do finally tap on the check mark on the building that is is BEFORE the event ends… then you have 5 days from then to acquire what you need. 😉

Lol now that’s strange I say something to you bunny and 2 days later have sound I haven’t had since the Indiana jones event. ( can’t remeber what it was called) I don’t know what kind of bunny magic you used, but it worked!! Probably just a coincidence but in still giving you the credit. LOL

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I’m really disgruntled with how expensive Stewie’s skin is. I have the clams, but I was hoping to hold onto them for future events or Buzz and the brain damaged horse. I bought Brian’s tux skin, but I’m worried that enough people bought it to signal to TinyCo that 200 clams is reasonable for a skin – which, frankly, I don’t think it is.
The rest of the event looks fun, even with the time limits. It’s a shame that the price of the Stewie skin has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Both Buzz and Horse are pretty much worthless. Very rarely do either participate in events. Mine have been in storage for a long time. Best of luck!

I absolutely love this game! I love that there is constantly some event going on (for the most part) and I love how TinyCo is so quick with bug fixes and open to suggestions.
HOWEVER…
Coming from a constant player who almost achieves everything during the events I have almost no space for upcoming builds including the new update. I wish we had more land we could buy, I like to make my town somewhat decent and not have all my buildings in a row all jam packed. Can TinyCo please do something similar to TSTO or something so that we can have much more land and not be stressed out over not being able to take part in the events due to space? Please and Thank you!!!

I think I just shoot myself in the foot by trying to unlock both of them at the same time. The items needed for Phineas and Barnaby are dropped by the same characters. Do you think it can be done, get both guys in just 5 days?

Did the same thing had Rupert before this event he’s only done his task once dropped me a steak but I got 4 others from fat ladies. So I do beleive that if you don’t have or get Rupert it would be hard however once you are done getting either steak or eggs he will drop the other one auto. Lois and Bonnie collect for both so imagine 12 of that item, and ya if your tapping consistently with the sleep time break (you’ll probs have max amount of joggers after) you’ll probably get the amount needed for both on the weights

What’s with the movieaction symbols next to many characters actions?

If I build Barnaby’s building, but don’t complete it (leave it with the checkmark on) this means I will still be able to unlock him after January 27th? I plan to start unlocking him AFTER I unlock Phineas, so I need to know if I should hold or start unlocking it right away…

No… you need to have it checkmarked. That completes it and puts it INTO your game. So you have to start that timer BEFORE the event ends.

When you said that one of the tasks to obtain the performance enhancers was to make Stewie work out, you meant to say Steroid Stewie, right? Unless I’m missing a task for plain old Stewie.

So is it better to build one character building and work on it before building the other or build them both and run simultaneously?
The above seems to suggest one at a time, as long as you do it before the 27th. If so I have made a grave mistake.

Not 100%. It is usually wise to not stack them… but I don’t know as the event JUST started, so it is impossible to offer my thoughts when it just began. LOL. 😉
I usually go with not stacking them myself.

So far not a fan of this one. Yes the premium buildings are reasonable… But 200 clams for a skin is crazy… I want Rupert too, but again, not enough clams saved.

love this game so much… This is the first game I have ever spent money on for IAP… I’ve spent well over $150 to try and make sure I get all the skins, characters, and prizes during events…. But lately it seems that tiny co is asking us to dip our hands a little deeper with these latest events and premium items… 200 clams for steroid stewie??? I bought new year Brian and later thought bad investment for a tux… I used to be so affordable compared to TSTO…. But now things are looking bad for the future… My opinion of course…

Actually… we priced the two together… and they are pretty close neck and neck comparable in cost. It is just the translation of Donuts vs Clams.
Overall… TinyCo has released MORE Freemium in the months they’ve been around vs what TSTO has in the 2+ years they have.
I stick to my saying and advice to ALL Players… think wisely about your purchases. Will YOU still be happy with it 3 months from now? Will it still make YOU happy you got it? Don’t let pressure make your decisions. Think out all purchases before they are made. 🙂

I like that sweet looking Bulge (Building) so I might get that for 25 clams. (Although I don’t really have room for it.) But 200 clams for an outfit in order for me to have Stew-roids? No…No…No. I’ll just have to keep using the other 5 Stewie outfits instead.

I am really happy at the low cost Clam Buildings on this one. Especially one that helps with item drops. But also… just kinda wondering what is with the skins myself. Cool Character… but just a skin. I love all my Stewie costumes I have and get that the main characters are the focus of the TV Series. I guess that is the balance? Low buildings, high skin? 😉
