Phase 5 is now live and running in our games. Just like unlocking Districts, this Event has us unlocking Enterprise “Districts” and causing us all flashbacks of those dreaded Eyeballs and Headbands. Definitely one of the more Challenging Events to say the least. Even for the Seasoned Players. So, back again, bouncing on in here because I want to know where YOU are in the game?
To keep the answers more basic, and without ad lib, I am placing this one in a form instead. Take a look at the questions, answer them as simplistic as possible (it helps ME compile the information better when simplistic, so keep it short please). Some of the questions you can skip as they may not apply, others will be required answers.
Again, I am ONLY looking for answers to these questions and these questions only. Helping us to stick to that, helps you in the long run. ANYTHING ELSE WILL BE MODERATED/DELETED. I’m in the same boat.
Have all of the materials for Dr. Crusher, Vulcan Quagmire, and Talosian Stewie…except for the crystals. Getting the Dilithium Crystals seems like it’s slowed to a crawl.
Taking the strategy of getting Talosian Stewie first so he can help with Borg Bertram, which will help with everything.

I have to say I am starting to worry a bit. I started playing for the first time after the Star Trek event had already begun, and until today I thought I was doing pretty well. After just today unlocking regular Meg, fulfilling my second last requirement for Crusher, and unlocking the Holodeck, I feel like there is so much more to do in just over 6 days. I haven’t even unlocked the Civic Center, so I am pretty concerned that Talosian Stewie is out of the question. I haven’t started beating up Bertram yet (waiting on Geordie and Chris to finish tasks). As I am low on dilithium (under 1000 atm), and have some transporter energy available, planet hopping is looking pretty attractive right now…

If you have not already… do not upgrade the Core. Leaving it as is will keep you battling only 3 Borgs instead of 5. I only just started playing about a week ago, so I’ve just about missed the whole event. What will happen when it’s over? Will the characters I couldn’t unlock just disappear from the enterprise?

My phone isnt 6 or older but I still have this issue bc I cant update to ios 8 (dont have enough storage). My next phone will be an android. I’m missing the critical part of the event 😫
Hello! Our team has identified a crash bug involving Apple devices on iOS 6 or older. An update with a fix is currently being reviewed by the App Store and we expect that it will be released within a few days, but in the meantime if you’re able to update your OS to a newer version we recommend doing so.

I have everything for Data except 8 more anti-virus software. They are just not dropping for me. I had really good luck and got Talosian Stewie relatively easily, and I essentially bought Picard with the deal to buy some clams and get free dark matter, so I have been beating the heck out of Borg Bertram. I just got to Starfleet level 9, and I have finally had some time to advance some quest lines. Dilithium is a little tight, and the green cubes are where I’m lacking.

Going on day 4 sending 2 characters constantly for the sunscreen. Not a single one in this time period. Im saddened that TinyCo has not figured out drop rates, but happy that im not a star trek fan, because then id be saddened again. So, overall im happy that i got some cool fremium stuff out of this event, even if i dont get it all.

This phase has been much more fun and less stressful. Stewie and Data unlocked a couple of days in advance of the next phase and I just need more crystals for Picard.
Only problem… still only two-thirds of the way to star fleet level 10 so wont be able to start next phase for a while. Played a lot today and only gained about 20% of a have spent a small number of clams here and there to help.

Like bunny said I do have all the characters up to now but that’s only because I’m a premium player. Just keep going you will get there. I’ve just speeded up a few things that’s 1 of the reasons why I have kirk and the other characters/skins. (They will probably be useless after this event anyway) Good luck , you will get there.

I only need crystals for stewie, he was very easy to unlock, so was data, the borg boss is fun, but not enough characters, there’s so many now and they’re useless like Q, locutus, vulcan quagmire, ferengi mort, starfleet lois, starfleet peter, klingon meg and spock now that I have data unlocked
I can use SFL for phaser energy, but there’s no item reward from phaser battles when I already have data unlocked, and their xp per phaser energy is low compared to other actions I can do in that 6 hours to gain 1 PE

You’re lucky to have unlocked Stewie’s skin. I’m struggling getting enough sunscreen. I got my 4th one today. Have had Riker & Mort consistently on sunscreen tasks since the start of warp 5.

Level 9 with 75% to go till ten. ~2000 dilithium. Unlocked Stewie and Quagmire. Have all the stuff for Crusher and Picard but the dilithium. Have much of the stuff for Data
I am working towards Picard as I believe he will generate the more dilithium than Crusher.

1 more sunscreen and I have Stewie. So excited! Hoping this happens today. Been getting 1 daily (and I play maybe 3 times a day). Switching Riker to his 2hr task every 2 tries will usually get me sunscreen the next time I try. I got 4 from him.. Mort, I switch every other time to the phaser energy task… he has only given me 1 sunscreen. Hope this helps others…

I’m working on fighting Bertram with all five characters so I can unlock Kirk. I had questline to get Kirk that disappeared yesterday. Did anyone else have that happen to them?

This is a tough event but I feel I’m fairing well. Just did the survey (love answering surveys), my main bug-bears are a serious lack of crystals per day and struggling to beat bertrum’s 2nd level before the time runs out. I’ve got Geordi and Chris fighting him and am on the game every 2 hours or so (apart from over night) and keep getting 2 hearts away from beating it with not enough time left.
As for the crystals, I’ve read all the tips. I’ve swapped my enterprise rooms for the better paying ones, got some characters on short tasks but can’t afford to by more romulan ale bars to help boost it. With my bertrum struggles I fail to see how I’m ever going to accumulate enough crystals or dark matter. Tribbles used to be my main crystal accumulator, but their multiplication when tapped has reduced dramatically – I used to get 8 to 10, now I’m getting 3 or 4.
I’m a freemium player and have been playing since December. I used my saved clams on Spock hoping he would be a serious contributor, with the exception of the donation to LLAP, I feel disappointed with him – I already had most things he helped towards when I bought him so he’s only been used for data’s floppy disks.
I really hope the event gets extended or something is added/altered to improve the chances of completion for freemium players new and old, and those who have been put behind because of bugs.

I’ve got Picard, because I managed to save up enough Dilithium for him loooong before I got enough sun screens for Stewie. 1 sun screen left, but I only have 800 dilithium now after buying the Vulcan High Command. Still working on Data, those anti-virus things are taking a long time to get. Almost have all the cat food, but then I need the dilithium for him too. It’s really getting hard to generate a lot. And with more things opening up after the next update, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to manage to get enough for Stewie, Data, Kirk, and whatever else the game throws at us. I guess we’ll see.
Oh… and I’m only two little bars into level 9, with no obvious ways to catch that up to reach the required level 10 for the next update… so, there’s that problem, too.
Otherwise, loving the event. I wish i could have Picard face palm all the time. How will that task work after the event is over and the Enterprise is no longer around?

I’ve been sending Mort and Riker to get the SPF non stop since stewie became available and all I got was 2 SPF….can they increase the frequency of this drop? I can’t get Picard until I can beat Bertram’s second level and I can’t beat him with just Chris and Geordi 😦

For now I only have 3 sunscreens and both Riker and Mort had been doing their task since phase 5 was released. I tried to change Mort tasks in between but theres no improvement.

Wish there were more ways to get Stewie’s sunscreen. 2 8-hr tasks aren’t helpful at all. Hoping once I get him, I’ll have an easier time to get PIcard’s required dark matter from Bertram.

So I haven’t got Vulcan high command or the guardian – (stopped at those quest lines) since I only have 2800 crystals and trying to collect enough for jean-luc. I’m at star fleet level 9 (just got there today). I can’t see any good reason to waste 2000 crystals on the above – at least not until after I get Picard. Any thoughts on that approach? I’ve got stewie, Chris and laforge going non stop vs laser Borg (seems like w those three I can defeat him in about 14 hours).

Thank you Bunny, this was exactly what I needed to get me to Starfleet Level 10 without using ANY Dilithium Crystals, I was close enough that buying one more Romulan Bar did it. Now I just need one sunscreen to get Talosian Stewie and three Floppy Disks to get Data. I will then be left with just over 2000 Dilithium Crystals but I’m ok with that.

Only thing I have to unlock now is Picard. I have one of everything else built from the replicator (just in case there’s a prize like Slimer again). Once again, TinyCo listens to the players and makes it easier and quicker to unlock everything right toward the end, as panic is spreading. So happy to see a game company that really does listen to even the freemium players.

Edo Herbert has just finished crafting and I think I can unlock Picard before the final chapter tomorrow with just under 950 crystals left! I think I’ll be able to “complete” the event now as in collect at least all of the new costumes and characters. But I’m still not a big fan of the event due to how tedious its been collecting stuff compared to past events.

Just managed to unlock both Crusher and Quagmire about 2 hours ago. My premium account is not faring any better than my free.
Data is still about halfway complete on the premium and I haven’t activated the Holodeck in the free account. I wanted to see if going ‘district by district’ was more advantageous. I think it’s better to have them all open because the warbirds only take one shot and you get all you need with half as much phaser energy with Quagmire. If you haven’t got the Holodeck open you have to shoot the big Peter craft twice to get the item where you only need one warbird per condom.
I am having a rough go getting the sunscreen for Talosian Stewie. Only two thus far and I’ve been consistently sending all sunscreen activities since Thursday last week when I opened the Holodeck.
Borg Bertram, I am just now beginning to battle him. I am wondering if I’m wasting my time. Just get my main characters and Talosian Stewie and call it a day.
I stopped moving through the wuestlines because they waste valuable time to pick up items and dilithium. I wish I’d never started them. They are meaningless and don’t generate anything but a bit of XP and dilithium. This is one event I am sure I won’t be completing.

I’m trying to figure out what to do, I fell behind last week. I have Picard, I’m close to Data (NEED: 7 antivirus, 5 cat food, 4k dilithium) and have everything but the dilithium for Stewie. I have 3700 dilithium and just hit level 9. I want to get Stewie to help with Bertram, but if I don’t get to level 10 soon I’m not sure I have a need for him immediately. I also don’t have T’Plana-Hath or the Guardian of Forever. I believe the XP is what I should be focusing on… What should I use the dilithium on? Should I get another Casket Ejector? Any help or opinions?

First, I don’t want this post to be considered complaining, so much as giving a reason for my C grade in the poll…
From the outset, I have been a little “Meh” about this event, mostly that was due to the overall theme. I have never been a huge Star Trek fan, so my response has mostly been a personal one.
That said, I think the overall design is absolutely fantastic. The introduction of the Enterprise as an alternate playing area is brilliant. Not only does it break up the typical interface that was getting a little stale, but it is easy to see how the same approach could be used to other highly anticipated events *cough, cough* Star Wars *cough cough*. It would have been nice if they programed a little more breathing room in the corridors of the Enterprise, though, as sometimes it is hard to tap what I want even when zoomed in. That is a very minor gripe though.
One big thing I am unhappy with (and the primary reason for the low grade) is the large numbers of required items and limited chances to get those items (both in terms of characters used and drop rates/task times). A little more challenge from previous events would be welcomed, but it seems like they made an overcorrection with this event.
As a final thought, the large number of premium items in this event has me quite worried about any potential Star Wars event. I would imagine that a good deal of the cost associated with this event was the licensing required for the character use. Assuming this is the case, then it should not be surprising that so many premium characters and items were introduced. The number of premium items required to offset the licensing fees charged by Lucasfilm/Disney is likely to be huge. I just hope that TinyCo has some sympathy for Freemium players and gives us a nice long event that allows all players to enjoy it.

I’m still working on unlocking Locutus and I just now got enough of those yellow things to unlock The Sick Bay. I’m hoping I can get to Data before the even is over (he’s my favorite Star Trek character and honestly the only one I really want ^^’) but I doubt it 😦

Question, when I unlocked Picard and Stewie’s outfit, it said that I gained experience and you would think you would get XP. But I didn’t. Shouldn’t I get XP for making those items in the replicator? It would definitely help getting to Starfleet level 10. I don’t think however, I’ll be able to get to level 10 before the next phase hits… Maybe TinyCo should look into this?

That is a default message. It may apply differently and in a different manner to each item in the Replicator. Characters are a lot different then the Buildings and Decos. Creating payout is a bit different.
As far as leveling up XP, even if they did drop… you would not have noticed as they are usually minimal like 10. I would suggest to use something more substantial if you are looking for a boost. Like the Romulan Ale Bar, TPlana, Casket Launcher, etc.

I love the polls Bunny. TYSM! : ) As for where I’m at, just need to unlock Data & Kirk. Need a bunch of Anti-Virus software and loads of Dark Matter but I will get there. I am very happy to have Spock in my game and will make it my mission to get Kirk before this event is out.
I am looking forward to seeing what the last phase brings, but I also feel it’s gonna be bittersweet. I just know how much I am going to miss having the Enterprise. 😦 This event has been pretty challenging at times, but it has been my favorite thus far. I think TinyCo really upped there game with this one! Just hope there are more really great things ahead, to make up for what will surely be a loss for me. Sniffles. I don’t want the Enterprise to go. 😦

Just got Data, now all I need is for Lois to bring back Edo Herbert one of these times before I start feeling like I’ve caught up. I’m hoping the next phase will be released on time so I’ll have an accurate count as to how many crystals I need to get per day so I can at least get all of the costumes and characters before the event’s end. I honestly was hoping for the last week to be a catch up week due to how crappy the drops were but with Consuela getting a costume and (according to Facespace) the arrivals of Scotty and KHAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!! tomorrow, at least now I can focus all of my characters into collecting for them.

Well, used All my crystals today unlocking Data & Picard. So even with no crystals right now, normally I wouldn’t be overly worried about my chances still of getting Kirk. BUT, with more original characters still yet to be released, I’m extremely worried at this point. (Never saw a single episode of TNG, so really wanting the Original series characters).
Just hoping considerably more crystals are available for the final phase. My attempts at planet missions for crystals have been extreme failures pretty much, depleted all my blue energy doing so. Just gonna keep blasting away at Bertram for now.

After being behind for the last 2 phases, it feels good to be essentially caught up going into the next phase. All available characters and skins are finally unlocked, with the exception of Captain Kirk – I just need the required amount of Dark Matter. Hacking away at Bertram has put me over halfway there, so I anticipate another day or two…
On that note, I am purposefully avoiding questlines that require spending Dilithium Crystals (“System Failure” for example), just in case I need them for the next batch of characters/skins – after unlocking Kirk, I will be almost wiped out. An extra 10-20K would probably allow me to snag all the buildings and decos I have skipped until now, so here is to hoping (perhaps quite foolishly) for a Dilithium Bonus similar to what we saw in the Christmas event or even a currency converter like the Halloween event – I have over 300 Life-Support cubes, and nothing to use them on.
Waiting to see what the final phase brings…

I just got Crusher and Talosian Stewie 2 minutes ago. I think I can still get Picard and Data before the event ends but Kirk is out of reach. I currently only have 28 Dilithium. I don’t think I will be able to get the new stuff tomorrow because I am running at least a week behind. Thnx ladies for all you do, I could not get this far without you! 🙂

I am pretty sure that I will not be able to accumulate enough hydrosprays or condoms by the end of the event, much less anything else. I am not too hurt though–this game has been getting less enjoyable for me since the Christmas event glitches.

Wait until you unlock the holodeck for the condoms. It only takes one shot on the warbird to get them. Otherwise you are wasting half your shots on the big Peter craft.

In my freemium game, my sunscreen drops are painfully slow… Only have 4 out of 6 after Riker and Mort trying nonstop since Friday! Bertram battles past level 2 are practically pointless with just Chris and LaForge so my progress is severely hindered until I get those last two. Plus dilithium and XP are very slow to accumulate without premium characters. Oh well. Fortunately i gave in on my 2nd game and got all the extra characters (except Spock… who I will likely get but waiting to see what’s in store for the next phase). Had no problem getting Stewie in that game, which quickly led to getting Picard.
Am I imagining something though, or do drop rates in general (not just through premium characters) go up when you spend money on the game?

I can tell you that is a flat out LIE! They do not increase just because you pay. Trust me. Take this from someone who is now at 20,000+ Clams purchased and still not done for just this event. Did you see my post on the Unchartered Planet Mystery Box? Just to get the Bird of Prey? Yah… Clams do not make your game anymore special. Not since day one. We still struggle with drops just like the rest of you. 😉

Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that something that is a negative is me defending them. Seems to be a knee jerk reaction for people. I think many forget it is our own money getting all these details. Why on earth would I be happy spending that amount? And why something on my personal game experience has anything to do with them? A lie by definition is a statement the speaker knows to be false. So yes, I thought you were calling me a liar and I can’t abide that :). No hard feelings. Glad to see higher drop rates for premium games is (apparently) not a reality but it certainly seems to be so based on my small data set of 2 games. Luck of the draw perhaps (but the conspiracy theorist in me still sees nefarious possibilities).

I see your point to a certain extent but Bunny is correct in that there is no increased drop rate or benefit to premium over freemium so far in this game. If anything they’ve shifted away from giving too much advantage to premiums this event. See Bunny’s comment on a different post in consideration to preiums and Bertram. So that said, play nice or I’ll have to tell momma Alissa on you both… hehe. j/k

I was liking the event until the Borg Bertram Battle’s came around – UGH, Why do game develops take a casual game and turn it into a game where if you are not dedicated to play 5-6 times a day, it is impossible.
As a casual player (1 or 2 times a day, maybe 3-4 on a weekend if I don’t have anything going on, which don’t look good for the next few weekends), I find it hard to unlock everything that is needed – And getting enough Dilithium is hard.
I may get enough items to get Beverly or Stewie, but with each needing 4,000 Dilithium, I will probable have to choose between the 2 and not get both. Ugh.
I just with game developers who make casual games would keep them casual. When they start to demand players spend many hours on it… well it is a reason why I only play Family Guy & The Simpsons now….. but once the developers start to make a fun game seem like a job, I have no problem walking away…. Hopefully the developers of Family Guy will stop pushing the game to be a job, and try to turn it back into a casual game.

Answered all the questions above but I feel like I wanna throw my two cents. I Decided to be freemium this event. I used the taco truck glitch and created dozens of romulan ale bars to get to level 10. People come here to rant over a game that’s supposed to be fun. Well it’s fun. But if you’re not willing to buy premium characters to help you process further and faster in the event then don’t expect to get everything. It’s impossible but that’s how life works. I’m more than grateful for the chance to get 75 free clams for completing the trekkie Griffins and the next generations in the facespace. Not even counting the clams from the tribbles. I play from day one of the event and I honestly can’t complain. The longer tasks are big help for people who can’t check their game every hour. Tinyco proved so many times if they mess up something they will fix it and they will try to help players out. But expecting a company to change everything overnight because most people complain will not work. You won’t get a raise at work just because you complain every day but hey they might even fire you. And if this company only gets bad reviews and feedback from us why would they invest time and money in the game? A little appreciation and kindness goes a long way. So be patient the event isn’t over yet.
A big thank you also long due to you ladies. You two do such a great job here. I come here everyday and read all the comments and it’s sad how some people decide to get their frustration out on you.

Today was the day I finally unlocked both, Spock Quagmire and Talosian Stewie. Though all in all it is looking very unlikley I’ll ever get Kirk, I still might get Pickard and very likely will get Data as well.
It also is looking very unlikely I’ll be getting to level 10. I’m at Level 9 at the moment and considering I don’t have anything else to build in the replicator besides Kirk and Pickard I have no big payoffs coming from constructions.

Just yesterday i finally got talosian stewie, i had the crystals for him before i got the sunblock or whatever the bottle was. So at that point i bought Vulcan quagmire first, and got back the 1750 crystals quick enough. As of today right now, i just need picard and kirk. Replicated all other items.
However i am only just about to hit starfleet lvl9, so i might shell out some green cubes and replicate some Romulan ale bars to speed along some xp.

Thank you for the reminder about the Ale Bar. Im at mid level 9 and trying to be ready for tomorrows release at 10. I forgot the bar costs NO Dilithium…only energies. I have hundreds of each so this 400xp boost per bar will be super helpful.

Ahh! My replicator guys are no longer available. Is this a glitch! Has this happened to any one else? All trace of them are gone except when i click on Bertrand and it says they are locked. help!

I’ve never watched a single episode of Star Trek so take my comments with that in mind. Im pretty laid back and I gave this event a B.
First off, I have about 400 clams which I’m saving up for use on Death, whenever it is released, so I haven’t bought any premium characters nor will I for this event. I feel like the premium characters are over priced…some times $10 for a virtual character. I am not opposed to spending real money on a game as I have received enough enjoyment that I have purchased clams and bough upside down face and the horse and Consuela, but I suppose the market and how much money they bring in will dictate the price. If there were characters for 75 or 100 clams, I’m sure I would spend mine and buy more clams, but maybe I’m alone in that as now I horde clams waiting for the “perfect” item to spend them on.
So with the event. I like a challenge in the events. I like working to get things, and this event is no different. I just feel that with as much as I play, I should be caught up on everything and I’m not. No big deal, but I think this event would benefit from like a week of down time at the end. There is a week left now, then I think there should be a catchup week with no new events or story lines or characters so that players can try and sow up the missing parts of this event. I’m about 25,000 crystals short of where I need to be at the end. I don’t think I can make that in a week so I guess I’ll hope for Picard only. I’d say the crystals need to be a little easier to obtain in my experiences or the event last a little longer. Having challenges up to the end is good if you are caught up, but with so many people behind, I would think the balance would be more crystals or more down time at the end. The bonus for the people that have caught up and are where they belong would be like they usually are at the end of the event where they can open a mystery box with extra stuff to get premium items.
The one thing I will say is I probably wasted 2.000 crystals building things to level up as I didn’t expect the heavy need for them later in the event, so that’s on me. Also I spent a lot of time trying to work on xp to try and level up as opposed to hoarding crystals Plus I would guess TinyCo may want guys like me (play often. Like once every 60-120 minutes log in without spending clams) to be a little behind to try and encourage me to spend clams on things, which as a business, I understand that.
One last note, when there is a countdown to upgrade the warp core a level….when that countdown timer hits zero, we should be able to upgrade instead of waiting a few more hours for it to go live. What is the point of a count down timer when when you hit zero,nothing happens? It’s like watching the New Year’s Eve ball drop in NYC on TV on the west coast when it is only 9 PM.
I’ll be surprised with as much as I played this event if I don’t get all the freemium characters available as TinyCo usually fixes any issues that arise, but if not, nothing I’ll lose sleep over. I feel worse for the big Trekkies that are missing out.

After 3 weeks of not being able to play I’ve pretty much caught up in 10 days. All I’ve been doing is focusing on unlocking characters and the main quest line. I might have characters do other tasks when I sleep. I’m current about 3/4 done unlocking Crusher. Quagmire is pretty much hopeless, since I still haven’t unlocked Red Shirts and I’m not wasting Phasers on Shielded Petercraft. I still have Bonnie and Bruce working on getting Q-Tips just to give them something to do.
I haven’t unlocked Level 4 to get to Data and Stewie, but I’m about halfway through XP Level 7, so hopefully by late tonight I’ll be able to start on them. My Crystal count is super low, since I don’t have time to work on side quests, so I know not even to try for Picard or Kirk.

I currently have 7367 dilithium, but still require Data, Stewie, Picard, and Kirk (31k) I might have to let data sit awhile since Picard will be useful for Bertram

I’ll say you should get Stewie and try for Data cos together they cost 8000 Crystals plus when you get the both of them, you’ll get Clams for completing the Sets. Besides, Stewie helps with Bertram (2-3 life points per hit). I’ve been using Stewie, Chris and Gordie and so far have defeateted Bertram with lots of time left on the timer and have accumulated 50 Dark Matter. Now I’m trying to get 23000 crystals to try for Picard and Kirk.
