Hey there Rockers!
With all this Music, Hippies, Toads, and Concerts going on in the game… many of you are a bit lost of confused on some of the game aspects.
No worries, here to help. In this post I will go over some of the common things we are seeing in the comments and help to clarify just what is going on in the game.
CAN’T SPEED TASK WITH CLAMS
I covered this in a few posts now, but as it is still popping up… here are the basics.
If you are on Android, this issue should be patched now. If you are on iOS, here is what you will run into when you try to speed up a task using Clams until patch hits iOS.
If you tap on the Task itself from a Questline and “GO” to the location, trying to tap on the task to speed it up and clear it will just crash your game. The way to work around this is go to the location so you know where they are, then clear the info of the screen by just tapping somewhere else. Then, just tap on the Building itself and speed the task. So in short, tap on the Building to speed… not the task.
PETER DISAPPEARED INTO THE FIRST AID TENT
This happened to many of you, but as more are hitting this point as they start to play or catch up from Phase 1 I wanted to cover it.
The FIRST task for Peter in Festival Fail Part 1 sends him to the First Aid Tent to “Save Toad Users”. The task also sticks around after.
As this is a decoration, and NOT a Building… you don’t get the usual option to just tap the Building and speed through. Instead… there is no info at all no matter how you tap on the First Aid Tent. No worries though, he WILL still finish in the 5hrs time frame and a check mark will show up on it to clear it.
For those eager tappers trying to get him out faster, this will be a little tricky. The only real option is if Peter is needed somewhere else and tapping on that task takes you to him. That may trigger a pop up to speed through for the 5hr Task.
For instance, tapping on a Toad User will tell you that you need Peter and selecting the option to use him will take you to him in the Tent.
MY CHARACTER IS LOCKED UP
This is not an issue, this is actually a fail safe put in place since last July 2014. Al’s is set up so that when you completely gain all the items for a Character Costume and tap on their “CREATE” button, it starts the timer on the Character Costume and begins to CREATE that costume. As Al’s is now in use, no other Costume can be “Created” until the current timing one is complete.
So for those of you that are maybe in lower Districts unlocking PB&J Brian, or Midlife Crisis Lois, or Anime Peter… WAIT. As right now we have timed costumes in the game, you may want to make sure you are done with the Limited Time Makeover Meg and Rapper Brian before you lock up Al’s for 12hrs, 20hrs, or more hrs. Same goes for this Event… however these Costumes only take about 10seconds so it will go quicker. So make sure you are sure you have the time to lose before tapping “CREATE!”
The reason that waiting will be important is when a Costume is “Locked Up”, the game no longer recognizes the Costume so you will not see their items on Character Tasks anymore until they are available in the game again.
SIDE NOTE/UPDATE: I have made my remarks on this to TinyCo and it looks like changes should go into effect to allow Players to continue collecting items just fine while Al’s is in use. So, WOOHOO!!!
I CAN’T FIND MAKEOVER MEG
With Phase 2, we have MORE items to Craft now in the Festival Merch Kiosk. Due to this, there are now TWO pages of content. So, if you are looking for Makeover Meg or any other items from Phase 1… go to the top Right Corner of the Merch Kiosk and tap “NEXT”. It will take you to the Next Page. “BACK” will take you back to the previous page.
FYI… ANYTHING that takes you to the Merch Kiosk will start Brian’s timer. This means any tasks too… like Get Mushroom. ANY item in there it takes you to is… well… in there and will start the timer on Rapper Brian.
SPAWN TIMES
I updated this information already in the Main Phase 2 post, but will put it here too. As the game progresses and MORE ways to earn items are introduced, spawns of previous items will adjust.
Spotted Toads: Spawn is cut in about half of amount you will see.
Toad Users: 1 every 6hrs
Hippie Girls w/Swarms of Bees: Every 3 hrs in groups of up to 9. MAX of 9 in your game at a time.
Greased Up Deaf Guy: He appeared twice for me right away as soon as I completed Part 4 of Never Gonna Catch me. After that, expect to see him once, and if you are lucky and time is just right maybe twice a day as his spawn is roughly every 12hrs.
CONCERTS CONCERTS CONCERTS
Just an overall FYI, for those doing the “Secret” Concerts… I have stated all over and put many warnings on these. They are “AT YOUR OWN RISK”. They are not supposed to exist, so using them will not guarantee you any task completions, Character options, Payouts, etc.
I will not test them any further in my game and risk a lock out. I need them too much for this site. If YOU want to risk it, your choice. Feel free to share your results with others.
Outside of that, the MAIN way for you to Glowsticks and Skull Guitar Picks will be the Concerts. So access the Stage as fast as you can and do as many as you can as it looks like each week a new Musician will take over the first Concert before allowing Concerts again.
CAN’T COLLECT FREE MUSIC
I have seen some reports that Players are running into a few different items when trying to collect your Free Album for Avril or Snoop Dogg. Remember this is ONLY available on Google Play and ONLY in some areas. See the pop up for restrictions.
Basically the best thing is to make sure you are signed into your Google Play account (especially if password protected). Then just follow the steps as it walks you through redeeming it.
If it tells you the Code has already been used, Contact TinyCo from your in game messaging for support.
If you run into any other issues redeeming that basic troubleshooting won’t help, Contact TinyCo from your in game messaging for support.
Just an FYI, if you chose to not Redeem the Album as soon as it was offered by tapping “HELL YEAH” and instead chose “LATER”, you will find the Album waiting for you in your game in the Event Menu. Tap on the Guitar Icon in the lower right corner of the game to go into the Event Pop Up.
Go to the Headphones Icon.
Locate the Album and tap on it to follow the instructions to Redeem.
For those that got Snoop Dogg’s Bush Album and only saw ONE Song, when I ran into this and went to actually listen to them it did load the remaining 9 songs. Others reported this too. So the full Album is there.
HACKY SACKS STILL AROUND/PICKS STOPPED
For some FYI, I do know that many of you are still seeing Hacky Sacks drop. I did report it and no word yet. They may have a future unseen use creating them to still drop. I would assume it is that or a Coin in its place like Previous Events. But will Update when I hear more.
As to the Skull Guitar Picks stop dropping, I saw some of you remarking they are no longer in tasks or dropping in your game. That is most likely due to you got all the main items offered that are purchasable with Skull Guitar Picks. Once you got them all, they stop dropping as there is no longer a need for them.
SIDE NOTE/UPDATE: TinyCo updated me on my thoughts for this one too. It looks like they are working on both so that you can optimize the Pick drops when Rapper Brian is complete and in your game.
Of course if you see anything out of the ordinary not already addressed here or other posts, and you still have concerns on it… you can always reach out to TinyCo from your game for further help.
There you have it. Some tips and clarifications of some questions and concerns we have seen in the comments.

I have the task to preform an encore, however when I select the stage it wants me to make Joe Lion for his concert
so I cannot do it?!
Also it says my makeover meg expired and rapper Brian showed up, however on my friends game they still have 2 days for it and dont have rapper Brian available (unless its cuz I’m on android and she’s on iOS?)

It all depends on when THEY started and triggered the items. You each have 7 days from the moment you first get them in the game and second when you trigger the timers by tapping on the Kiosk. (See the rundown posts)

What about preforming an encore? How come I can’t do that

Because you jumped from Phase 1 right into Phase 2 content. So a new musician took over. It is the downside to being a lil bit behind. You have to satisfy ALL new musicians to unlock the stage. Avril, Joe Lion, and now Alice.
Do me a favor and please report this kind of “stuck” game play to TinyCo from your in game messaging.

I was playing fine when this event started, but when I had 1 day & change to get makeover meg my game crashed for 2 plus days. It really made me mad because I only had 2 guitar picks left to get her…. Not fair 😢….
The same thing happened with evil Stewie a couple weeks ago in the satan mini event. Game crashed for over 24 hours when I had one token left to collect for the character & like 2 hrs left to get it…

Sounds like you may need to do some troubleshooting then for Crashing or report it to TinyCo.

Put in an in game message to tiny Co the very first week, actually it was only like the second day, about the music download code saying it had already been redeemed. Even sent them a screencap.
I know they must be busy, but no word back yet even acknowledging they got the message. Have they mentioned what they think the problem is? Or if they think they can get it fixed in time? Any info at all will be great!

I don’t know if it is something they have to go through Google Play to get results, so their may be a bit more time involved due to a third party. My suggestion is this, if you do not hear back from them within 5 days on an issue… send a followup. Every 5 days. 😉

Hello ladies! I’m still getting the “secret” concerts and I have over 6000 glow Sticks and now that Blammy awards are out I’m concerned about tiny Co and people in my .group thinking I am cheating case I have like 120 more blammys than my second place person. Will tiny Co come after me if I’m reported and take away all my glow sticks? Cause that would really suck! Also I still have to get rtapper Brian and I haven’t seen One greased guy so can’t get tickets and only have three hackey sacks and have been using bee keepers for the past 3 days and haven’t gotten one.

I’m not even far enough in to have these problems. I updated the app and started the event a few days late because I was on vacation and when I updated I got a new “wicked glitch”. I can’t click on the shopping cart to view or buy decos buildings exc. Not only can I not get in that way, I can’t click the “go” in a prompt that tells me to buy a building. Consuela pops up and tells me there’s an error. I contacted tinyco (and they were so nice about it) and I’ve since updated but it still won’t work! I can’t unlock Avril 😦 is anyone else having this issue?

Ah… that one. It bounces round now and then. Have you tried a complete uninstall/reinstall? Is your game saved so you can? I would suggest reaching out to them again if you are still having issues.

Bit of a tech question.
This morning my game can’t find a server to even attempt to load.
I then found the upgrade hoping that was the issue but it’s still not loading. Just Conseula going round and round every 10 secs looking for one.
Have you got this issue or seen other commenting on it?
I’m just about to emil them but thought I’d check here also.

I’m running iOS 8.4.1 on an iPhone 6. After months of play with no issues, tonight I am getting the message “could not connect to server” over and over. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, as long as you haven’t collected everything from the stage. Just click on the guitar next to the stage and it will take you to the decos and characters available. Then you can see from an item or character that requires picks, how many you have.

Okay greased up dead guy and swarming bees still haven’t appeared in my game. I have the bee keepers ready so I am confused. Do they appear after a certain task or is this a problem with my game?

Hello!…I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem…my characters actions relative to this particular event aren’t appearing e.g. Brian and Mort not having the available actions to gain items for Bee Keepers…this is on iOS…any suggestions??

Yes, I’m on ‘Festival Fail Pt3’…It would seem that only Avril has the action to earn ‘stuff’ for Bee Keepers, also characters that previously had tasks that would earn them glow bands no longer have those tasks available. Rather odd!

I’m still getting the hacky sacks from Snoop and the bee girls, but I haven’t finished getting tickets for Brian. Still getting picks although I haven’t used mine yet so they’re still needed – I would assume those would be used in the next two phases, so I hope they keep coming. I would want to be able to stock up.
I asked TinyCo to give us a counter for picks. There really isn’t a good way to check my stock once Joe Lion’s costume is complete. They’ve omitted such counters before, I don’t know why. There are now several ways to get picks so it’s hard to keep track. Picks are essentially a type of game currency the way they are used for multiple items.

Have you tried the “secret”? It will help you boost it. Though it seems daunting. Many did it even without that help. You would be shocked how quickly the Concerts drop them for you. Many have been so far. Thought it couldn’t be done, but quickly see that it can. Just give it a go. 😉

Don’t really know where to post it so I’ll post it here.
I lost a taskline. The taskline containing joe grow white man dreads 12h and avril perform secret shows 10h. It popped up earlier, but did some other tasks first. Now the task is removed from my tasklist, but the corresponding needed tasks where still on top of the chars tasklist highighted. I’ll see what it does in 12h

Those are items needed for the Concerts and only temporary. So if you did them once or the requirement was fullfilled, they will go away until the stage asks for them again.

This is intended as a warning. I became impatient and tapped a task that required Rockstar Peter while he was doing the “secret” concert. No problem, I got him off the stage but there was no payout. The stage and area around the stage still look like a concert is going on. I don’t dare drag another character there until it looks normal again. I will wait the 5 plus hours and look to see if the stage area returns to normal. Once you have 2 or 3 characters that can do concerts, have them do encores. It’s less time consuming and nets higher gains per hour.

Is anyone else having an issue with the “Hardcore Encore” task not completing? I did an encore of Peter’s concert before the task triggered and now have done Joe Lion’s concert and first encore, but it’s still showing. Do I have to do the second encore or should I contact TinyCo?

If you’re doing the “AT YOUR OWN RISK secret ragdoll show”, here’s a tip: create one tile of road at one end of your map and another piece of road at the other end. The blond girls will spawn at either tile of road and walk to the opposite tile, allowing for easy tapping and clearing. The Bee girls will run by as they travel from tile to tile, making it easy to avoid clicking them and continuing to click on the giant group of blond girls.

I didn’t see this here and apologize in advance if I’m not on the correct page but I have a task that won’t clear. It’s called the Harcore Encore that instructs you to peform a PeterPalooza Encore Concert. I’ve done two encores using Peter yet the task remains.
Would you happen to have any suggestions? I’ve tried all of your normal recommended troubleshooting but it’s still there. Thanks in advance.

I know this might not be the right place but have you heard any reports about an android crash bug? My game keeps crashing at completely random points, the screen just goes black and exits to my home screen with no error message. It’s only been happening since the event started but has been getting worse each day.
I’ve done all the troubleshooting tips except reinstalling (absolute last resort and all that) and have reported it to tinyco.

Could be all the live action in the game and your device Memory is just pushed to its limits. SOOOOOOOOOoooo much activity outdoors in the game right now, help your device and game by cutting down on the drain….

Cheers bunny, but I have done all that already except the uninstall. I’ve even put all my surplus characters and animated walking objects like tribbles etc into storage. I’ve got 27gb free on my nexus 7 and my ram isn’t maxing out either – I ran a monitor through a crash to see if that was the issue.
It’s strange that I can run “the other” town based game, with special event and 3x the number of active characters with no issues at all :-\

It is all in how the gaming house sends out the game. How they make each item and the room it takes. Each Game House varies on this, yes. I see many others struggling in the “other” game too right now. All you can do is try the basics and then let TinyCo know in case there is another thing they can do help you out.

I’ve raised this with TinyCo, but on my Android device, if I try to send a beekeeper to clear bees, I get an error message “Could not find close button ‘button_close” – the game then resets to the splash screen. It doesn’t do this on ios.

So I did a concert and I got four stars I tried to collect my reward and Consuela popped up with an error- attempting to display medal for nonexistent reward. When it comes up I can either rerport it or tap OK. I reported it but when I tasp ok it reloads to the same screen I have tried everything, uninstalling doesn’t do anything, it is still there when I reinstall the game. It has appeared on all three devices, 2 droid 1 apple. Has anyone else reported this? And is there anything else I might try?

Just updated my FGTQFS and I was accidentally clicked “music event home” and then “Whats New” and then “Go”, the timer of meg costume starts. How unfortunate I am, I am started to think this event is not friendly at all with freemium player like me

Greased up deaf guy is showing in my town every 15 hrs instead of 12. I don’t know if anyone else is having the same time frame issues.

My times are approx. There is not “set” time TinyCo is releasing. Hence “roughly every 12 hrs”

This may have been asked, but is there any way to complete hardcore encore once pt 2 is active? I did Joe’s encore, and hardcore encore didn’t complete.

I can’t do Avril encores because Joe ia now hogging the stage. I’ve contacted TinyCo in game, but does anybody have a workaround to this? I need 30 picks for Meg and a little over a day before she goes away forever.

I sure hope Avril’s secret action (1d concert) gives me enough picks, as Peter’s toad guy action vanished, as did the toaders themselves. I’ll have 7h left for Meg when Avril finishes.

It did not vanish. It just will not show unless they are in the game… every 6hrs like noted here.

concering the hiring of Bee Keepers and the First Aid Tents, i have bought only 1 of those so far so if i purchase 1 or 2 more will the capacity of however many bee keepers can be in your game at one time go higher just like what we did during the Mobster Event wit hiring goons???

No. They are two completely different locations and one has nothing to do with another. First Aid Tent is where Peter goes to “Save Toad Users”. The Beekeepers are made in the Event Staff Tent in the Event area and the ONLY way right now to increase the capacity is the Ranger Station that increases it by two, but for a Clam purchase.

When does the next week start with new content, what quest do you have to be done with and what exactly do you mean you could get locked out from doing secret concerts? Locked out for the entire event?? Thanks!

Usually new content hits every Thursday after 3pm Pacific. I assume like this time you have to complete the Main Phase 2 questline at least. When two Characters were sent to a stage only meant for one… it created a consuela error locking you out from being able to use the stage at all until TinyCo patched it. Also while the Character is there, they can’t be used for any other tasks at all. So, they are locked into the stage with no way off of it for 24hrs.

I tried something even though this site advised against it, just because I was curious.
I either wasted a character for 24 hours, or I might end up hitting the jackpot,,time will tell.
I Dragged Snoop onto the stage and did a secret 24hr concert, the normal massive wave of female fans hit my street and I collected my 120 stars.
Now I read here on this site that if you drag two characters onto the stage it will crash your game. (I have an android phone, but my phone is currently junked due to a loose wire shorting out the battery intermittently so I play this game on Bluestacks.
well about 15 min after dragging Snoop to the stage, I dragged Joe Lion onto the stage just to see what would happen,, nothing happened, I dragged the secret record Icon onto the task menu and now Snoop is off to the right of the stage doing his thing with the crowd,, and Joe is on the stage doing his thing.
Now because I have 2 secret concerts going on, it might be that when Snoop finishes nothing happens and then 15 min later when Joe finishes I will get my reward,, OR,,OR,,OR, what I am hoping happens is that when Snoop finishes his secret concert I get my reward,, and then I can click on the female fans and have 15 min to collect my 120 stars for Joe doing his secret concert and when he finishes I get his reward.
So basically I might have sent 2 characters on a 24 hour task and only get 1 reward,, or maybe it messes things up and I get no reward,, OR ,,OR ,,OR, I hit the jackpot and get 2 big rewards 15 minutes apart.
I don’t recommend anyone else trying this but at Tuesday around 8:25 PM Pacific time I will be able to come back and give the results of this little experiment.
AGAIN DO NOT TRY THIS!!!!

i have a concern now: since i was obviously in a huge rush to get to the 2nd phase of stuff, i had gotten to the point where i did Avril’s concert and right after had completed the encore concert, the questline “Hardcore Encore” popped up like 2 days later and i already did Avril’s encore so i don’t know if it’ll complete AFTER i do Joe Lion’s concert and encore?

i performed the joe lion concert and didnt actually get the guitar picks, it showed up as the guitar pick symbol but when i clicked on them it all went to the glowsticks and when i checked my guitar picks none of it transferred. Has this happened to anyone else? now i have to wait again to try another concert to get them

FYI on the 1 day “secret” concerts..I had avril doing that (she was about half way through) and the task for Joe lion to perform concert came up. But when it popped up it instantly had a check mark, most likely because a “concert” was in process. But the funny thing is I haven’t even unlocked the joe lion constume yet (I still need 2 patchouli oil). And I only have one of the items needed for the concert. So there’s no way I could even do the concert but it said that I did. So just wanted to give everyone a heads up if no one has noticed this yet.

About the Peter medical tent issue he is in the griffin’s house and does anyone know who the next celeb will be (the celebs on the chairs )finally bunny can you please confirm if niki minaje will even show up on the game because in one of your posts it says yes but there has been no other word about her.

Just as I was about to contact Tiny Co. regarding being locked out of my game after sending Avril on the 24 hour secret concert, I was suddenly able to log in and play normally Everything has been working fine since.

So far I have had success with the secrect concert…making sure to only send 1 character.it does take 24 hrs. I sent Peter each time and this allowed me to collect tickets for Brian in two days it also counted towards sending joe to complete concert for pt 5? Of festival fail….so for me this has been very benifical and had no issues with being. Locked out

Well. I did a secret show with Snoop Dogg and after it was over it completed The Joe Lion concert task for me even though I had not gotten all of the items to start the concert. All I can do now with Joe Lion is the encore ones.

Same for me except with Avril. Sent her for 24 hr show and it took the place of my Joe show. It still put me slightly ahead since I didn’t have Joe Lion until after Avril finished. I won’t do another secret 24 hr show, not much gain for risk of finding a bug.

Question regarding Greased Up Deaf Guy, anyone know if his appearance in the game is timed? Will he stay in your Quahog until you click on him? Is he timed like in previous events where he is in the game for say 60 seconds and then disappear until the next spawn if you don’t “find” him? He is my quickest avenue to Brian since the oils are a tough drop for Joe so I am frantically searching all over my town whenever I open my game so I don’t miss him. If he will stay until I find him, then I can relax and know he will appear eventually and I can get the slippery lil fellow, Thanks!
