Hey there Toady Roadies!
I see the usual group of questions popping up in the comments, so I like to put them all in one place and address them all at the same time to help you out.
Take a peek below and see if your concerns/Questions are addressed.
GREASED-UP DEAF GUY
In my opinion, I have a feeling at the end of it all we may just get him to keep. We won’t know for sure until it happens, but the info in the Event Menu Screen is very promising. Though it could also be just a reminder to keep catching him.
Speaking of… his spawn time. He appears about once a day. Twice if you are lucky and time it just right. (It really seemed between 12-16 hrs for me. But again, YOUR game may differ.) Don’t worry. His questline is NOT critical and everyone is on the same drop, so we are all about 10-12 captures for him by now.
UPDATE: He will now help drop Lighters too.
SPAWN RATES
This one is a difficult one as it varies by Player and by what Phase you are on. These are what I am seeing so far in Phase 4. Many I have not had enough time to really test how often as we are barely a day in. So these are really rough estimates. Feel free to share what YOU are seeing in the comments.
Spotted Toads: These still seem to come in plenty in my game.
Red Head Bee Girls: They are still showing up in my game and seem to respawn still after I clear them. At least every 2-3hrs.
Dark Hair Bee Girls: They seem to come in groups of 2 at a time in my game. about every 4-6 hrs, but still working on it. After clearing my last one, they have not returned since. I assume due to they were mainly for Blammy Awards and we don’t need those right now. So wasted resources.
Toad Users: Still showing up but slowed down on spawn. Show up at least twice a day it seems.
Brown Bears: They seem to pop up in groups of 3 in my game every 4-6 hrs
Honey Gold Bears: These come in groups of 2 in my game when they show up. Still working on a spawn but at least it seems 4-6 hrs on them too.
Overall, the majority of spawns I see every single Event seem to be every 2, 3, 4, or 6hrs. So check back around those points to see what YOUR game offers.
LIGHTERS
This was a concern of mine as soon as I ran the questlines and tested out the new Phase, more so a concern of a Player not paying attention than anything. Let me explain… Lighters are needed in the game to Unlock DJ Herbert & the DJ Booth. Concerts are the ONLY Freemium option to drop Lighters in the game.
Here is the concern point, a Player not paying attention to what they spend Materials on could get stuck on Lighters. For instance, if you spent any of the 10 earned Lighters on DJ Booth… you now just put yourself into a “CLAM ONLY” option.
Why? Well once you run the first Concert for Peter and get 10 Lighters, the Stage is then taken over until DJ Herbert is unlocked. Shutting down any Freemium options for Lighters. So… a loop. No way to get Lighters without Herbert Performing Concert, no Herbert without Lighters.
I addressed this immediately with TinyCo. They jumped right on it. They are adding another source to get them just in case to avoid this. (It may or may not be in the game by the time this post goes live.) I will update it WHEN it goes live if not. So hang tight if you did get locked up due to buying out the DJ booth instead of using them for DJ Herbert. Help is on the way.
Greased Up Deaf Guy will now help drop Lighters
HONEY BEAR LP DROPS
Honey Bears are the option to get LPs for many Players. Right now the LPs are a Common drop. This means that you will NOT Always get one from the drop locations unless you get Deadmua5 that is a guaranteed Always drop.
So you will get a coin here and there instead. I know there are concerns from you all on this one and I did address them. It is being monitored. All I can suggest is to FIRST… play the game. See how YOUR results go over the next few days and then determine how fast or slow it is going. If you feel too slow… let them know. Show them your results and message them from your game.
BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS
Yes… I know… sore spot. Again, all I can say is report YOUR results to them. Tell them where you are, how many tries you made, how many you have after those tries, how it is holding your progression up, etc.
LEADERBOARDS & BLAMMY AWARDS
Leaderboards closed with the end of Phase 3. The Prizes we were told would be awarded anywhere from 4-7 days following the closure.
The Next Leaderboard will not come until Phase 5, so next Thursday.
As far as the Blammy Awards, we have no idea as of yet what will be used for the next Leaderboard. There is not a solid answer, so until we get one we are unable to clarify anything on the new one until that information is released.
CHARACTER TASKS
Many of the Character Tasks come and go and are only there for use for a Phase or just a Questline, so many will rotate in and out as you progress. Due to this it is difficult to say what ones stay and go until they do. Mainly I am seeing at least one staying for Joe & Quagmire. Outside that… Lois & Chris’ come and go. Connie’s was short lived.
So mainly the Characters introduced within the Event itself will be the main Task source of Glowsticks along with the questlines and buildings.
WHERE IS CARL?
UPDATE 630PM EST. I am seeing more people trying to find the New Character Carl after you redeem him in the game, so figured I better add this info in as well.
Once you are ready to Redeem Carl, either by Clams or Materials… you will see the Merch Kiosk go to the cut screen while the Guitar Sways. Once it is done, you will get the Congratulations Screen.
Tapping on Collect seems to drop him directly into your Inventory Storage. So you will need to go there to pull him out.
Once you tap on him in Inventory Storage, he drops into the game on your Quahog Streets with the “Unlock” symbol above his head. Tapping on that symbol will trigger him to go live in the game and ready for use.
PLAY AND ENJOY!!
It sucks we have to keep repeating this, but some just are still abusing it. It has got to a point that the Site’s importance and existence itself is being questioned.
The Addicts are Players just like you. We just offer our results and knowledge to HELP other Players… on our own personal time. We prefer to try and keep the atmosphere on our site NOT what is everywhere else online. Too much anger and aggression in every corner for anyone to stand. This is a game, games are supposed to be fun, we want our site fun.
We get people get frustrated, mad, upset, or annoyed at aspects of the game… we do too… but that does not mean that the Addicts or the Addicts site is here for your own personal punching bag. You are essentially harming those that are just the messengers and those that are here to help. That is like yelling at a Doctor in the E.R. trying to help you after an accident and blaming the Doctor for all the damage someone else inflicted on you. Just sayin. Take those concerns to TinyCo directly. Offer them constructive criticism. Offer solutions to help other Players.
We are more than happy to and will help to find answers to your questions, offer tech support from things we know to help or worked for us to fix it. Keep an eye on major issues and relay them to Tech Support. We will provide all the in game information to you that we can pick apart, get our hands on, and acquire through our connections.
So… in return… all we ask is you follow our Site Guidelines. Be kind. Be courteous. Be respectful. Leave the pitchforks, torches, and hate at the door. Need to blow of steam? We got a place just for that, What the Deuce. Use it. Any of them. Anytime. Any day. Get it off your shoulders and keep it off all the OTHER posts we put so much time and effort into. To have all the OTHER posts flooded with it makes it pointless for us to even write them anymore. They just become soap boxes for the anger and all the help is lost. There is a difference in voicing a concern vs just outright venting.
There you have it. Some Basic answers to the main questions we are seeing in the game. Please let us know if there are others we have not already covered. I am working on a Poll for the overall “where are you” and will post it later this weekend.

Got #15 this morning. He dropped a lighter then some dialog between Cleveland and I think Quagmire appeared. The quest just disappeared after that. Very disappointing!!

I dnt know if anyone else was having trouble connecting to the server but yesterday I was able to get on the game before I went to work but 9hrs later when I got off it kept telling me there was a connectivity issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled and when I tried to load back on it popped up that measage again but when I hit retry it loaded right up….So if its happening to anyone else try the uninstall reinstall thing and hopefully itll work for you too. Happy Gaming peeps…

My gold bears only show up one at a time and takes at least a hour to spawn:/ no worries though as it takes so long to hire the Rangers. I can’t wait to see the GUDG at the end of the quest. He’s hilarious to me.

I have brought deadmau5 but the last 8 gold bears have only dropped coins. (I have let Tinyco know) plus now they don’t seem to be spawning in my town. I have only had 1 spawn in the last 5-6 hrs and even that 1 dropped another coin. It’s going to be so hard to unlock the Characters at this rate. 😦

Here’s my problem. I love the game but refuse to pay any more money for it. I’ve spent about $400 so far and that’s freaking ridiculous for an online game but to advance I’d have to spend that much more. I have over 3.6 million coins and can’t do much with them. Give us a chance to convert them to clams to help us. I know you are a fan site but I know Tinyco monitors it, as well so…no more money spent!

Issues like that we actually direct them to specific posts they keep an eye out on. “Dear TinyCo” for requests. “What the Deuce” for complaints. I am sure you yourself don’t have the time to read every post and every comment on the site, same with them. So we refocus specific items to certain locations. Easier to see that way. 😉

Not compared with the other items – magazines should be completed long before LPs or concert tickets.
I have five six-hour sources for the magazines but only one (after you have finished with the greased up deaf guy) shared source for the LPs and tickets – one of each every five hours (at best).

Hey Bunny, I thought I would offer a helpful suggestion for some of the folks on tablets getting lock issues. Not sure where this actually belongs, but I thought I would share given the “don’t shoot the messenger message.”
I had been seing lock/freeze issues on the game for awhile and I have a Samsung TabS maxed with soft memory. The game hangs and weird behavior seemed limited to the game and so I blamed the game. After awhile, I saw tracking behavior migrate to other areas of my tablet and thought the game had corrupted something (because of the huge mem sync).
What I found was that the issue was directly related to the leather case/keyboard I had gotten for the tablet. As soon as I switched to a logitech model, the issue disappeared. It appears that the leather can foul the touch sensitivity over time (maybe as it gets more human conductive oil?) and cause a lot of random issues that caould naturally be blamed on the game,
Anyway appreciate all of your help and keeping the game fun. You guys are appreciated and I want to say “thank you” for you volunteer work.

It seems unlikely that accumulation of oils on the outside surface of a leather case would cause any problems. It sounds to me like your previous case was causing your tablet to overheat, maybe. Or maybe it was interrupting your wifi antenna.

I found too on my tablet a similar issue I think mines pleather, AND it also has settings for “intelligent back-lighting” and some other game play contrast thing which if turned OFF seems to help me (Knock wood!)

the Bears (both types), and the frogs and toad user, and frogs, as well as a few female fans from time to time.
Do you need to clear all the Red bee girls 1st to get the Dark ones?!

I just noticed that in the walk through on part 3 it says Alice Cooper Snake Training, 6hrs, then on part 4 its listed again but at 4hrs, does the task time change?
I’m trying to sync some of my quests with the other quests line and just noticed this.
I am all confused on #’s as the DeadM5 tag keeps screwing me up into thinking part 5, again?! LOL

So it’s great that they made GUDG be able to give lighters but since he’s the only way until Carl is unlocked and he only spawns once a day-ish why is it still a toss up between lighters and tickets? I just caught him for today and got a ticket. Now I have to wait until his time tomorrow to try again and hope? Doesn’t make sense to me. This’ll take forever.

My answer is still the same. Neither are listed as Always. So one or the other drops… outside that… if you have all of one or the other… I dunno if the hole is left similar to a country or blank taking a spot. Waiting on info.
I also said it may depend on what you have too as if one item is collected fully, no more of that one drop

While trying to get into the game I went on my desktop Facebook version and noticed a task that will award you 10 clams for linking desktop game to mobile so if you haven’t done it yet what are you waiting for? 10 clams better than 0. 😉

Has anyone else had trouble getting Alice cooper? I’m still trying to get the pants I have been stuck on three pairs since the phase began I have everything else and have been sending Peter on the quest and trying to save the glow sticks to get the other guy now cause it seems I’m going to be stuck here for the rest of the event of I don’t.

Just a heads up, I’m getting a server connect error when I try to get in. No idea if it will persist, but all of my other apps etc. are fine, so there may be a problem on their end. I dont know if other people are experiencing it though. I’ll next see if they’re back when I get up tomorrow morning.

Well I’m locked out again.. i keep getting “cannot connect to server” and i know its nor on my end, i have WiFi and 4g and both are working… I’ve tried force closing it, restarting my phone and uninstalling/reinstalling without any luck. I have not had a dark haired girl since the update, and I am also only getting one honey bear at a time, and it seems to happen every 6 hours, or so. The drops have been pretty good, so I guess it will all work out eventually, and it is only Friday, plenty of time to get the stuff. *smile*

Has there ever been solid definition of Always, Common, Uncommon, Rare and Ultra Rare (miss any)? I presume Always is 100% drop rate but rest not sure and haven’t seen numbers on this anywhere. Are their definations fluid on this? I’ve had Peter work on these pants about 3 times a day for 9 days and been successful 8 times which means 29% drop rate for rate in my experience. Does this look correct?

Nothing was every made public. That and there is the factor of how many Characters trying it, how many attempts, etc. As the more times you do NOT get it… the better chance is increased in your favor.

Great catch with that lighter thing, I never would have even noticed it. And I agree with the greased up deaf guy becoming a character. I doubt they’d add the bucket animation to the menu if they weren’t going to add it into the game in his tasks. But then again, ya never know.

Do you know if greased up deaf guy will stay after the 15 catches to help with lighters? I was at 11/15 before the update and have gotten him once today with a lighter but obviously will get to 15 before the total needed lighters. Thanks.

Closing in on 24 hours since Phase 4 hit and Honey Bears are two every 8 hours in my game. I’m 2-6 with LPs so about a 33% drop rate. Messaged TC my thoughts/results as that seems too low for a “common” drop.
