Update 8/11: Quagmire’s 12hr Drink at the Clam task now can earn you Ice Cream Sundaes. Remember it’s still extra rare in drop rate…but it’s nice to have another character that can earn it 🙂
Also, Ron’s task to earn pesticides has now been split from his task to earn batteries. His 4hr task now will always drop green pesticide, and he has a new 8hr task Shop for Tough Guy Bandanas now has the chance to drop batteries (rare).

For now…Peter kicks things off and you’ll have to have completed the Creature from the Goo Lagoon questline to have the new questline start for you.

New Way to Earn Blam!:
Similar to defeating King Butt, this event now has Defeat Giant Stewie. This time you’re required to collect pesticides to defeat him.
You’ll find Giant Stewie on top of the Convention Center
And you’ll have to collect pesticides of various colors from characters and zapping mutant stewie’s to defeat him. You’ll have 24 hrs to defeat him for each time…ie get the right color and number of pesticides to defeat him. Each time you defeat him before the clock runs out you’ll earn more and more Blam!
When you tap on him you’ll see this screen…showing you what color and number you need:
We’ll have a full break down of Giant Stewie soon, but that’s the basic breakdown.

Fabulous Challenge:
This triggers by Peter once you’re on Part 4 of the Enfant Terrible questline. This week’s challenge is to defeat Giant Stewie 5 times in 3 days.
Don’t worry the clock won’t start until you get to part 4 of the main questline. Correction this is starting at part 2, part 3 and part 4 for some people. So assume it’ll kick in once you learn how to defeat stewie and have peter get pesticides. Basically don’t complete part 1 if you want to stall it.
So build up those pesticides…so you can defeat him quickly!

I love everything added in this update except the price on Cranston. I have every character in the game since its release, but I refuse to pay that much for a character. (300 is my limit.) Trying to decide if I want to add some cash for the Blam! boost or not.
I’ve almost hit my limit on this game. I’ve got a lot of upcoming AAA game titles to think about. Haha!

Lol. It is all in what you want out of the game. I think the price tag was due to he also ALWAYS drops at least one of every pesticide…so kinda like those ALWAYS drops buildings. A two in one. Character and payout. 😉

True, the pesticide does make him a bit more desirable. I’m sorta leaning towards buying him now because I’ll be getting a bit of a clam rebate when completing the Comic Con sets (Given I get George Takei.) , finally unlocking Stewie, completing his set, and from Mayor West’s and Tom Tuckers sets in District 9.
Still pondering it, though. There’s a chance Nathan may cost just as much, or more. If he’s premium, which I’m guessing he will be.
Would you good folks happen to know if Giant Stewie is here for the rest of the event, or just for a week or so? (He’s almost seeming like too easy a way to get Blam! this early.) I know the streaks are harder the further you go, but 300-800 Blam! a day ain’t too shabby. Just wondering because I may save up my pesticides for days, then hit a bunch of streaks in a row.

You think Cranston (Clamston) will ever reduce in price? I bought 600 more clams for the Blam! bonus, but I’m holding out.
This Giant Stewie thing will probably be the weekend challenge for Blaze, but I’m wondering if we will have 4 more weeks of Giant Stewies. If that’s the case, 100k pricetag seems VERY achievable via freemium route. Obviously more info will be posted about it but I’m curious where your thoughts lie.
I’ve tried to avoid buildings that are ‘100%’ drops (Family Jewels, I know) but the fact that he is a character, is that a justifiable mental loophole?
Felicia and Super Chris is business as usual, of course, with some hefty requirements. Oh, I heard you won the Clamterprise? Lucky duck, congrats. You deserve it.
In just shot up to 34k Blam, and got a back to back plutonium drops. Real, human Stewie is unlocked!!!

Yes…I got that “Blam” Clamterprise! Lol. Glad to hear you got the one, the only Stewie. Don’t see Cranston price going down, part of that price is a 2 hour task that ALWAYS drops at least 3 pesticides (one of each type). I have had him drop 4 the last two cycles. Plus, he’s just “Blam” COOL. The Blaze car challenge is triggered once you’re on part 4 of the “Enfant Terrible” quest line. 😉

I am not completely sure I am going to buy anymore extra stuff I have all of the extra building and characters from before this new event and none of them do anything to help. If they change it like when I first started playing where they were worth buying I might change my mind but why spend the money on for something that will only help me once and than is useless.

Well, screw TinyCo. That vehicle quest is a load of crap. Silly me for starting the “defeat giant mutant stewie” quest before they got around to launching the vehicle quest. 3 days to defeat Stewie 5 times. Having so few characters to drop spray suggests to me that the best way to complete this is to allow the timer to reset after the 2nd defeat in a cycle. And while waiting for the timer to reset, you basically have to spread your efforts to gather 4 of each color, because you don’t know which color will be required of you next. Granted it’s doable, but I think it’s still too short to depend on drops like this. I don’t like it at all.

Cranston may have been overpriced for my taste, but if you are planning on getting him, might as well get him early. For 4 sprays a pop with a 2 hour task, he may well be worth it by the end of the event.

That is because we open our wallets to provide our readers with as much info as we do. We invest…well…A LOT into the games so when the data goes live, we have the ability to play through it all really fast and get you the info quickly. Not to mention, I am messing around with Giant Stewie and his Blam! multiplier right now. WOW does that make a difference. 😉

We reached out to TinyCo when the game was in it’s early announcement stages. They were impressed with the work Alissa, Bunny and Wookiee were doing on the sister TSTO site. Because of you awesome readers, this lil site is quite popular and they know it’s in their best interest to work with us to help players with information and to see problems when they begin trending. It’s a win/win. I assure, we don’t get a dime from TinyCo. It would inhibit our ability to be critical when necessary (and anyone familiar with my comments knows I have no problems with that) 😉

So I saved up batteries per some suggestions I read here and now I have no more stewies latched on buildings. Now I need pesticides and it seems the batteries are useless ugh.
If I *ever* get the 3 more plutoniums to unlock stewie I will feel I’ve had a green light finally on some goal in this game!

Love this game, never thought I’d spend any money on it but thanks to Target selling stuff on sale I couldn’t resist for BC and reading everything on here means having him is a giant blessing and enjoyment. I have searched for this answer though and can’t figure it out:
If I spend clams to unlock the Blam portion of Felicia (or future celebs I guess) does that then add the 10000 Blam into my totals as well (therefore actually worth it and getting me Lois superhero outfit) or simply save me the time of having to save them up? Since there is no way to just buy Blam other than the premium items this might be worth the 100 clams right now as well. Please help before I make too much Blam to waste!

The Clam buy out on ANY character is as follows:
The game will take into account ANY item you have that is needed to unlock them (whether 1 or 1000). It will then determine a Clam cost to outright “buy” those needed items and let you know. So, if you have 367 Blam! but need 10,000…it will TAKE the 367 Blam! and adjust the Clam buy to accommodate for the rest. Thus bringing your SPENDABLE Blam! to a zero. (Your overall event total never goes down.) Make Sense?

Give it time. This Giant Stewie will help. All that is really needed is Captain Hammered and completing to part 6 of the Latcher Stewie line. THEN, you can start to play around with multiplying your Blam!

Woohoo !!!! I finally unlocked PB & J Brian outfit …… 12 hours to go on his task to dance in slow motion and I finally unlocked stewie.
As for this update. 500 clams for a character …. Insane !!!!! Other then that this is the best event ever (so far).
Tiny co is doing an awesome job.
EA is really falling behind on TSTO. FGQFS is my primary game now. TSTO is ready for the history books.

One more thing about this update: I didn’t buy Ron’s trailer as I was getting the items fine without it, but I figured I’d buy all the trailers at the end of the event maybe, if I had a nice collection of characters.
Well, Ron’s trailer seems to have disappeared from the store in my game now, so I guess that’s not going to happen. If you want Felicia’s trailer, I suppose you’d better get it before Stan Lee’s update comes in.

He’s already unlocked. It seems the trailer had disappeared from the “Events” section in the shop menu… but when I went through the Comicon menu it advertised Ron’s trailer, I clicked “go to shop” and it took me to the BUILDINGS section of the shop, where I found (and bought) it.
Makes me wonder if the trailers for permanently unlocked characters will stay available after the event.

Geez. $20 for Cranston. Tiny Co.s getting greedy. $10, sure. I’d buy him for $10. I imagine a lot more people would too. They’d probably make more money if they didn’t price so many things so high. Also, it’s about time they started using some of these wasted characters…that don’t even earn blam…Cleveland esp.

I think it is he is a combo type character. Not just task generating character, but “ALWAYS” drop for all 3 pesticides. Similar to the “ALWAYS” drop buildings for 150 or more clams.

In Economcs we have something called the Laugher Curve. The makers of this game should understand it because I agree with the other poster about enough is enough.
I am fine dropping 5-10 bucks a month on a game. However TinyCo seems to feel they should be deserving of much more than that.

I get if the game is not for you. To each their own. You have to find joy in a game you play, and if you don’t…nothing wrong with finding another. Everyone spends their money differently on entertainment. All we can suggest is let them know what YOU feel is fair by sending in game messages to them. They do pay attention and have made changes in the past.

i am trying to complete enfant terrible part 2 quest. it says tap giant stewie and defeat him. every single time i do i get a message that says family guy has suddenly stopped working and i get booted out of the game. any idea what is going on?

So it’s 2:45am here, and half my brain is thinking “GO TO SLEEP!” while the other half is thinking “But Patrick Stewart will be done with his task in 25 minutes!” So much to do with this update – I was hoping for a chance to send Peter reading the birth certificate to unlock Meg, but that’s not gonna happen. Everything that needs doing seems to involve Peter. She’ll just have to sit there while the other half of my brain thinks “SHUT UP MEG.”

I understand that Peter is “the” Family Guy but seriously, how are we supposed to use him to accomplish 3 sets of tasks at once? That is just a ridiculous amount of stuff to put on one character while 20 other characters wander about town with absolutely nothing to do. So much for Tinyco listening to player input — the gist of which is please get more characters involved! The fact that they won’t let us even use the District 4,5 & 6 characters in the events leads me to believe the much adored Stewie will not have a role in any future events & will be as boring a character as King Butt. Maybe someone at Tinyco will get a clue about character use. No one who is having any success at this event is still stuck on District 3. Let us use our characters. Rant over.

I’m a complete a holic and I think I’m finally done with this game due to the new character requiring 500 clams! That is such a high requirement :(. I’m not the one that wouldn’t spend money on clams but the amount needed is too high. BUT, I’ve had ALOT of fun on this game and I’ve enjoyed it so far. I just can’t bare parting with more money and I don’t like missing out characters. But I don’t regret the 50 dollars I’ve spent on the game since I’ve had a lot of fun completing various tasks thus far. Good luck to all those who are still playing (:

To be honest I think it is more the dual purpose it serves. You need pesticide for Giant Stewie, and Bryan drops ALL THREE on his task. So…it is much like those buildings you can purchase in events that have “Always” drops of needed materials. So the combination of a fully tasked character and an item dropping machine…I think that is how the cost factored in.
Sorry you want to go, but that is your choice. If the game is not for you…then it is not. Each person has to find what brings THEM joy, if it doesnt…moving on is not a bad thing. You will ALWAYS be welcome here regardless though. 😉

Yes it does make sense, but I never purchased those buildings. I loved the game and still love it but I just can’t find myself to spend more money on this game since ive been a little addicted ahaha. But I think coming to this blog and checking all the peoples progress and new events is enough for me so thank you for running this wonderful blog!!

Why are things so expensive? That’s what I’ve always wanted to know. 500 clams is what, like just under $20? That is for one, ONE, character. It just feels like these kinds of things should be back to that .99 business. Maybe $1.99 for the really cool peeps. To each their own of course and money is no object to some people. The game is still fun without buying clams, but it’s a bummer to miss out on guys like Cranston. If I spent $20 on a little pixel man that I can have do a task every few hours for fake money, I’d need my head examined.

It is all in how you look at the items and value them compared to others currently available. I saw people at con blow 100’s or 1000’s of dollars on a toy, that will sit on a shelf, and never be touched or played with. It comes down to what makes YOU happy. What brings YOU joy. A movie…that costs 10$ a person…not including if you take a date, eat first, buy snacks, etc. That is for one time only. Everyone wants to spend their own money in different ways.
So it is up to YOU to decide if you want to invest or not. You do not HAVE to. You are not obligated to in any way. If you want to play Freemium, so be it…but expect to only get those things that do NOT cost money and know you will be limited. Do not play beyond YOUR means. Play the game and customize the game to suit YOU and YOUR lifestyle. Just understand, there are other lifestyles out their too and the games will try and cater something for ALL.
This is the same in life. In cars, homes, electronics, etc. The more you invest, the more you get or get back. 😉

I just wanted to say this about the cost of Bryan Cranston. I’m guessing getting him in the game was expensive for Tiny.co but why out price most players surely they’d make more money pricing him at say 200 clams and selling him 1000 times than 500 clams and selling him about 50 times. (Please make him cheaper)

Does anyone have any idea why Nathan Fillion disappeared from the character list? Everyone else who is set to be released (even Death!) is still an option or grayed out, except for Nathan. Was his character pulled out of the event? I was so looking forward to having him in my game!

I saw no changes to the other characters like Stan Lee and Evil Monkey, etc (they were still there, as they had been for several days), but when I saw Nathan Fillion used be there but wasn’t anymore, I was disappointed. I guess I’m the only one worried about getting his in the game lol. Thanks for the reassurance!!

Has anyone notice an extra car for sale? Well I was playing just now and I was collecting some pesticide and I noticed that there was a new item that is for sale so I clicked the cart and notice the car. It was only 500 blam so I did not hesitate to buy it. It has no name on it or anything. Even when I placed it in my town when I click it no name appears. Is it a glitch? If so will they take it away?

The training center also drops pesticides. Cranstons 2 hour task dropped 4 pesticides for me

Important tip: You need to tap the convention center, not Giant Stewie himself. I has tapping GS like crazy trying to figure out where his sweet spot was, when my finger slipped and tapped the convention center and the Pesticide panel came up.
I really hope the release the challenge for the Blaze car soon, just hope its a certain number of latcher stewies again, I don’t like having to split my chars with so dang many Extra Rares to get. I’d be tempted to say that its too much stuff but Ron Perlman was pretty painless to get. Glad Stan Lee is grouped with Ron and Felicia. I will happily pay for clams to finish Stan before the event closes but if he was an outright 500 clams, I’d feel pretty stupid for buying those blam trucks to get GT. For me, Stan Lee > George Takei (but really when you are discussing clashing titans its a matter of small degrees, lol!)

I did this too, lol. I thought it had glitched, it wouldn’t load up. “How am I supposed to check what kind of pesticide I need?” I asked myself, in a rage-fueled tapping frenzy. Then I hit the convention centre and realised the truth.

I’m finding Ron Perlman fairly painful to get myself. I’m wondering if the fact that the red nerds and the hotel are no longer listed as dropping his items is accurate. Being an android player, I’m feeling a little as though the fact that I was a week behind, leading to my not being completely caught up with the quest line to start unlocking Ron when he was first introduced may be working against me.

I am on Android and got him down to one puppy…no clams used. Almost every drop I had came from Latcher Stewie or Nerds.

Of course, when you go into the puppies or records, Latcher Stewie, Nerds, and the Q hotel are no longer listed as sources. I’ve messaged TinyCo to see if this means they only come from Bruce and Quagmire’s tasks, along with the premium items now. If I hear anything, I’ll probably leave a reply somewhere.

I checked the In-game support and it only mentioned Nerds, Peter’s task, and Felicia’s Trailer. Thinking that Nerds were unreliable and I needed Peter busy collecting Pesticides and things for Chris, I decided to spend money on the trailer. If I’d known there was a free building that generated the item, I wouldn’t have done this. I cant believe they neglected to mention it in their official FAQ.

Just a few questions the new deal buy 9,99 clams get 4000 blam is it a one time deal or does it go up 19.99 for 8000 or the like?i seen a comment does bryan or his chair drop pesticides every two hours does he drop all 3 at one time or just a random color.i got a little tip i tried out today also, seems mutant stewie loves my mini mart and flappys so i built multiple ones and at least for today he has been loving them amd helps free up my Q,thanks guys keep up the good work i really appreciate all the hard work you guys do for us kreping us informed and the helpful strategies and tips

Bryan DOES get his chair…as he is instant and not a kidnapped celeb. Others at the end. He has dropped all 3 for us each time. The Blam! deal is set for 9.99 and up. I do not see it multiplying.
