UPDATE BUNNY 2:10 PM EST: TinyCo JUST pushed a fix for the Poltergeists issue. For those players on Fright Level 7 and above, it seems to have impacted the most. So give it a moment to load and you should be good to go. 🙂
They are also looking into the issue of Banshees. Waiting for clarification on spawn rates, etc. Will update once we have more details.
MORE INFO… Banshees should be spawning 2 every 3 hours for a max of 4 in your town at once. So if you are not seeing them at this rate (you have to have Ghostbuster Quagmire to start to clear them and have them regenerate), please contact TinyCo.
UPDATE BUNNY: Sorry for the delay, was hurrying to get back to a signal so I could pass this on. We have already reported the issues with Predator not leveling up, Grey ghosts not droppin vials, and Poltergeists not counting that are impacting players. Will update when we get anymore info on it. Our hopes is they can locate and fix issues soon. They are working on it.

How do I see Phase 2 of the Halloween event?
You will need to upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal in order to access Phase 2 of Ghostbusters: Quahog’s Halloween. Upgrading will require at least Fright Level 2.
What triggers the Ghostbusters Challenge 2?
When you upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal, this will trigger “Ghostbuster Challenge 2: We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Latchers.” This will require you to defeat 8 Poltergeist Latchers in 3 days to win the Ghostbuster Lockers.
What are the Poltergeists attached to my buildings?
When you upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal, this will introduce a new ghostly creature into your town. Poltergeists will haunt Quahog’s buildings, making them too frightening to enter. Any character currently in the building will be trapped until the Poltergeist is cleared or moves to another building.
How do I clear the Poltergeists?
Tap on the building with the attached Poltergeist to clear it. You will need to use Ghost Traps to capture the Poltergeists. Ghost Traps take 6 hours to recharge, and you can get traps from Diane Simmons or the shop to instantly recharge.
Clearing a Poltergeist will reward Spirit Vials, XP and a chance for Poltergeist Talons and Colander Helmets.
What is the Poltergeists’ spawn rate?
A Poltergeist will spawn every 2.5 hours for a maximum of 3 in your town at a time. After 6 hours, the Poltergeist will move to a different building.
How do I unlock Ghostbuster Quagmire?
Ghostbuster Quagmire is available after you upgrade your portal to the Poltergeist Portal.
To unlock this costume, you will need the following items:
1,000 Spirit Vials
10 Ghost Condoms (rare) from Lois, Bonnie, Chris and the Goth Nightclub
10 Colander Helmets (rare) from Poltergeists, Ghostbusters HQ and Kamikaze Plane
15 PKE Meters (uncommon) from Mort, Quagmire, Bruce and Airplane Graveyard
If you unlock him, Ghostbuster Quagmire is yours to keep in the game permanently. You will have until the end of the entire Halloween event to unlock him, otherwise he will disappear from your game.
How do I get Banshee Tears?
In order to clear the Banshees and earn Banshee Tears, you will need to have the Ghostbuster Quagmire costume completed. Once complete, tap on the Banshees to clear them or start Quagmire’s action for “Zap Banshee” for your chance to collect Banshee Tears. You can also earn Banshee Tears from the Quahog Cannery and the Banshee Fountain.
How do I get the Predator?
The Predator will be available in the shop for 250 clams. He will zap Banshees and drop batteries to recharge the Ghost Traps.

Week 2 Challenge:
Week 2 Challenge Involves Trapping Poltergeists:
The challenge will start early in the questline, so be ready. You have 3 days to trap 8 Poltergeist and win the lockers. Once you’ve completed the challenge the lockers can be found in your inventory.
New Ghosts to Defeat:
Banshee- Ghostbuster Quagmire (or Predator) will clear them. They’ll drop Banshee tears. They come from the Portal.
Poltergeist- They’ll latch onto buildings and take them over (similar to Latcher Stewie). You’ll need Traps to defeat them. They drop Poltergeist Talons.
New Materials for Crafting:
Banshee Tears- Get from Clearing Banshees or from Various Buildings.
Talons- Get from Clearing Poltergeist or from Various Buildings.
Both items are needed to craft various items in the Cauldron…

As mentioned above…Poltergeists are now latchers for buildings in Quahog. You’ll need traps to clear them. When they’ve taken over a building they’ll look like this:
To clear it tap on it and and if you have a trap available (they recharge every 6hrs). You can also earn traps from Diane and Predator. They’re also available for purchase with clams.

And with that…the rundown is complete! Of course, as always, we’ll be going more into details with the specifics, but this should give you a great overview of everything 🙂

Ok well first things first this is my first post and i love this game. Family guy addicts is definetely a fitting name for the site. I got two things that might help people, one with excitment for whats to come (if its not already been posted lol) and the other helps with the predator glitch until they fix it. So for the 1st thing francis is definetely the next ghost it you go to facespace and click on the last ghost it says francis griffin so i hope that gets some people excited for that bible thumping maniac. And with the predator glitch i recommend getting him to kill banshees during day (which doesn’t boost his level to do later quests;but tinyco is working on it) .If you play as much as i do you should be able to kill a few banshees for the tears and when you go to bed send him on the talk it out quest for pke meters; he seems to always drop them. Hopefully its fixed soon and I could help some people in the meantime.

The lab which I just got today kind of breaks the event……. It drops 2000 a day and then 400 FP. Portal upgrades and Mr Weed will never be a problem for me!!!!

I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this but I just logged on this morning and saw I had 1000 vials less than before (I haven’t brewed anything because I’m saving the vials for Mr Weed) I contacted tinyco but I’m wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

I had an issue trying to get Quagmire’s GB costume. The Helmet and the Ghost Condoms were listed as Rare, I think for both, but their corresponding colors were wrong, in which one was blue and one was orange. I’m not a programmer but I think it might have caused a drop issue. I ended up spending 40 Clams just to unlock his costume because a few days went by with nothing being dropped.

They are dropping just fine for me. Rate they should be. Try to force close and restart your game to see if that helps.

Oh no ive been hit witj the predator bug and hes not levelling up, but its also other characters top? Peter, mayor west, ron perlman no one seems to be gaining xp from missions anymore so I cant progress with west or predator quests?? Still getting halloween items from predator but cant progress on their quests themselves. Anyone else have this?

Ok I have contacted tinyco 3 times….helmets are NOT dropping! Everything that is supposed to drop them are not dropping them. I received 3 when the update happened….since then zero zip nadda none! I have everything for quagmire except helmets. Everything for meg but the eyeball jars….which u get from quagmire….pleaseeeee tell me someone else has this issue? I’m a free player and refuse to buy the item that drops helmets. I’m losing interest in this event 😦 I haven’t ever said that about this game before 😦

Keep in mind they are random, not always. It’s the weekend, so flooding messages will do nothing but slow response for all players.
Try the basic troubleshooting, beyond that…wait and allow proper response time. All our test games have been dropping them today here n there.

Great game but ive come into an issue with aquireing slutty cat meg. Brewed the correct ‘potion’ (aka got the required items) then recived the FP but then I recived a Consuela no connection and poof it dissaperes and no cat meg to do my bidding…
Any help with this issue?

Hey anyone else running into an issue with the weekly challenges? I was just finishing up the first one (peter zapping the last terror dog), when the whole chain of quests for the second prize (lockers) started kicking off. Thus when peter finished the last task, i never got a completion notice, the 1st quest is gone from my list, and the sign never showed up in my inventory. The timer on the first quest had not run out so i know i was not out of time.
I contacted tinyco through the app thursday or friday but have not had a response yet. Is the sign an actual decoration? Was i screwed by kicking off the quagmire quest line before completing the first one?

Please see my previous response…Report it to them. It is the weekend so give them time to look into it. If it spreads, they wont usually respond to an individual but push a fix for all players. Be patient with them and wait til they get in tomorrow to look into it.

Hey all,
So I’ve upgraded my portal to level 2, I have banshees just floating about but none are latching and none of the week 2 quests seem to be launching. I’ve tried a hard reset, tapping the task bar, completing other tasks but nothing seems to be triggering it. I’m about halfway to completing Quagmire’s outfit, and I can’t see Mr Weed either. Any ideas?

The banshees are only there to be destroyed by quagmire and the Predator. The Poltergeists are a bit different and are lil icons that will latch to your buildings. They usually pop up after completing the quest about them. Do you still not see them?

Just wondering, if you use one of the trap batteries that you acquired during the game, does the timer reset to 6 hours after you use it? I never tried during comic con, and I don’t wanna use a battery with an hour left on the timer just to have it reset to the maximum 6 hours

It resets to the 6hrs. So use the charges wisely.

FYI – If you use a trap battery, the timer does not reset to six hours, it just continues it’s countdown.

Maybe I’m just having a good glitch but mine does not reset. I noticed that that had changed during comic con when I had so many batteries that I didn’t care.
I tested it with this event. Waited till I had three, zapped one, tapped a second, saw the timer at 5 hours, 59 minutes, but didn’t zap it. I cleared everything else, then I taped the second one again and saw the timer was down to 5 hours and 53 minutes. Used a battery, then immediately went to the third one, and the timer was at 5 hours 52 minutes, it did not reset to 5 hours 59 minutes.

This is one of those “It changed on the go” things we always talk about. It was resetting at first, may have been a glitch…but it looks like now to be continuing on just fine. 😉

Hello and congratulations on your fantastic efforts! I had major problems with the appearance / disappearance of the “Search for Busts pt 2” quest line. It seems that if you have a lot of quests active, they prevent newer ones from adding up. So try clearing up some and hopefully it will be smooth sailing from there onwards. Just wanted to mention it for others who may be annoyed by a similar issue.

They really need to add another task to get the helmets. I have 3/10 and only one was from the latchers out of 9-10. The headquarters takes too long and not guaranteed to get a helmet out of it. They should have Stewies Iron Stewie or Rollocop do something for the metal helmets. I know I have all the time in the world to get Quagmire, but would like to get him going zapping Poltergeists quickly

It’s a decoration but it’s a really neat one. I got her on my 2nd box and she does really jittery, jumpy movements like you saw in the movie. It’s a nice touch.
