I just confirmed…for the… I dunno how many times now… with my dear patient friend that tolerates me over at TinyCo (you know I adore yah guys)… COOKIES WILL BE BACK!!! AGAIN…COOKIES WILL BE BACK??!! COOKIES WILL BE BACK FOR NEW YEAR!!! 😛

Hey there Clammers!
So, 3pm PST and Miracle on Spooner Street has come to a close. What now? Well, there a few things that WILL continue, the rest is now in the Christmas Past. Lol
Here is a breakdown of what YOU might expect to see in your game…
First you will get that usual Pop Up… “Event Ended…restart device…”
Once you go through the process, you will come back to a no more snow fallin Quahog (though still some on the ground) and an empty Event Area.
Due to the Event Area is now empty, if anyone was battling the Yeti… they will be out wandering around as he is gone.
If you were working on Babs or Jasper at the Train Station, since that is gone too… you will no longer see either one or be able to get either Character. They are gone with the Event if not completely unlocked and in your game as playable Characters.
Holiday Christmas Cookies. These will hang around town in preparation for use on the next Event. (Nothing on that for now. We will post when it arrives. Most likely at least a day away…you know…the New Year.)
Buildings/ Vehicles that dropped Event items will no longer drop them anymore. This includes the facades or “skins” on the Houses and Buildings for Christmas Decorations.
Characters will no longer drop any Event items or Materials. Also the Reindeer, Shoppers, and Snowman will be all gone. (I am gonna miss them. Wish I could have kept one of each. 😦 ) Anyone going after Snowmen or Reindeer… will end up just wandering around.
Now for what MANY of you were wondering on the Character Tasks…what stays and what goes?
If all went as planned…these ones SHOULD go on. Keep in mind though…SEVERAL you needed to have PASSED a specific questline point/part in order for it to go on. If you did not, it will go away and won’t continue. Again, some may still not pull through after the event, but this is what we hope stuck around as planned. Lol. Let us know what you see.

I can’t say I’m not disappointed not getting to finish. I was 15 snowflakes away at 3 pm. What is a little maddening is that if the update is not until tomorrow then why not just extend it 12 hours? I see a few people who got close then cut off. I realize that’s part of the challenge but it also seems like an extra way to get you to buy clams. I’m starting to feel a bit gouged and burnt out. I’m checking out the next event but if it feels like more of the same it’s back to just TSTO (and really for me to feel more gouged here than at an EA run game is saying something)

Wow somehow I ended up getting Jasper even though I didn’t fully unlock him, which is great because I missed out on most of the stuff for the event.

All of my cookies disappeared with the update. I had 96k+ and they all disappeared, the counter at the top is gone too.
Pair that with the fact that i can no longer visit my friends (play on a Galaxy Tab) and I’m just slightly perturbed.

The cookies you said about have also disappeared from the game. Are they going to be put back in? I saved over 100000 for the next event that you talked about. I hope this is still happening as I stopped buying items with cookies to save. Otherwise I would have purchased more Christmas items.

I spent clams to finish my quest to get the “king blizzard” or the king ice gorilla. When I finally beat it, it didn’t give me the character or the decoration. How can I demand this character or how can I get the clams I’ve spent doing this quest? Thank you…

well, saving those cookies was a waste of time.. nice tease. i just was forced to reload, and everything is gone. i checked inventory… nope. oh well.
I, for one, could use a break from all these ‘special events’… they are getting harder and harder to complete, and a few points along the way on this christmas one, I almost quit because there is just too much going on. Didnt even think twice about not going after the KISS band… yea, like Im going to spend 400 clams on that.

Did u know what happen to the 20% off clam deal? I thought it was going to hang around for the day. Now the only thing show up is the free fire truck if u buy clam. And is it a big size fire truck that will drive on the road?

**** tinyco, they always find a way to make me spend money even though I still have plenty of clams left. When I find out the truck moves on the road and 20% off on top of that, just couldn’t help myself.

In Fairness… 96-97% commented asking about the Cookies AFTER I put that up there the first time (the few ones before I understand)…more still after kept on coming after the 2nd update was placed (I think that was the frustration in others). It’s OK. It happens. Regardless if it is in the post, people still will ask. Lol. We see it all the time. I don’t mind copying and pasting. 😉
