Hey there Tribblemakers!
We are now well into Warp Core Level 4 with lots going on and lots of changes. I am seeing a lot of repetitive comments all over, so wanted to help by putting the main ones here.
Let’s jump in and take a look at some of the main questions we are seeing and the answers we have so far on them.

PHASER ENERGY
This is now dropping a lot more. So you should have been seeing more of an increase to help you out in the game.
PHASER BATTLES
There are now TWO ships in the Phaser Battles, so make sure you know which one YOU are going for.
Regular PeterCraft will ALWAYS drop One Felicium or One Laser Pointer
Shielded PeterCraft will ALWAYS drop a Space Condom if the 2nd hit is successful and the ship destroyed. For a LOT more details, go to the helpful post HERE.
Side Note: TinyCo also updated the Target Areas of the Shielded PeterCraft, like the face, so watch it and test it a few minutes before firing a shot to get used to it.
For the “Lagging” shot, just use patience. I did make them aware. For the issue with an Asteroid taking the shot from the PeterCrafts, I have also made them well aware and they are looking into both these.
NOT GETTING ENOUGH STARFLEET XP
If you are needing a BOOST on your XP, use the Replicator items. Specifically the Casket Launcher or the Bar. Both have a VERY HIGH payout of Starfleet XP just for building them.
HEBERT IS MISSING!
This is something we see commonly with ANY Costume in the game. Here is the basics of it. Back round Comic Con Event there was a MAJOR issue with trying to Create more than one costume at Al’s at a time. This locked Players out of the game completely. To avoid this from ever happening again, there is a failsafe built into the game now. ANYTIME a Costume is being “Created” in Al’s all OTHER Costumes will lock out and go into “Limbo” until that Costumes timer is up and you tap on the Check Mark at Al’s to complete it.
So if a Costume is “missing”, see if you need to clear the Check Mark at Al’s or wait X amount of minutes for it to finish. Once done, all the other Costumes will reappear again. Like Herbert’s Edo Costume.
If this is NOT the case for you, and he is legitimately missing WITHOUT you winning him from the Planets, email me familyguyaddicts@gmail.com. Again, this is ONLY if he has completely gone missing in your game. NOT if you need tips on winning him.
RED SHIRTS MISSING
Let’s just go over the Basics. Red Shirts will NOT appear on Enterprise until you are first of all Upgraded to Warp Core Level4. Secondly you need to be on the right questline to trigger them. Road to Recovery.
Once you are at those two main points in the game, they will appear around Part 2 of Road to Recovery and continue til Part 10.
KLINGON MEG
She popped into the game via a 24 hour sale. Per TinyCo this is the ONLY way to have got her. For those that have not seen her or the 24hr offer just yet, all you need to trigger it is to be on at LEAST An Officer and an Idiot Part 6 & purchase at LEAST one of the three Premium Characters from the offer.
Once the offer appears, you only have 24hrs to buy all 3 and get her Costume.
ERROR MESSAGES
There are some common messages that appear in the game that the Basic Troubleshooting will correct. A few others may need a lil more looking into.
“placeables out of bound” : They are still wanting to look into this one further, since most are unable to get into the game with this one Email them help@tinyco.com for further assistance.
“error assetID”: Basic Troubleshooting usually clears this one. They also pushed additional patches in Version 1.7.8, so make sure you have the latest update from the App Markets to help with this one.
Of course if the Basics don’t help, Message them in game first or email if you can’t get in.

Family Guy Addicts 
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the genetics lab and troy are still dropping face cream for Stewie and i am maxed out. They shouldn’t drop any more when you got 18/18. Same goes for the Little blue shirts he wears i have 15/15 and still getting drops for them from rooms and the characters can still drop them if i send them on the task to drop it. I wish i could just hand them out to people that need them cause they are still dropping. Is anyone getting the sunblock from worf??? i have sent him on several tasks to do it and got nothing. Also does anyone have a freemium way of getting a lot of crystals other than beating that dumb Borg Bertram? Its like the stupid Yeti from christmas and that was the only part of the christmas event i loathed!

Yeah about that…. the post listed above suggests that there are other things in the replicator that uses those items and will disappear when they are used doesn’t seem to pan out. Stewie is the ONLY thing that uses the cream and little blue shirts. Nothing else. There are two items that are left that haven’t been unlocked and we wont get drops for those until they are unlocked. Unless its the usual Life support energy, Synthesizer ore, Transporter Energy, Phaser Energy or the Dark Energy. Any other items should show up at the next warp core level. Now that i have all of Stewie based items (with the exception of the sunscreen) they should stop regardless if i have him or not. Should being the Opportune word here.

Let me put is this way… look at District 10 (if you have not dealt with it, you may not fully understand). The Brewery has a lot of items in there. Each item needs Materials to be dropped. Several items also has MORE than one of that item you have to create (limit of ##). Due to this, the Materials stay on the Character task lists and continue to drop and drop and drop until ALL of those item are completely made… to their limit… and pulled out of the Brewery as a Craftable option. See example post HERE…

The Replicator is a “Craftable System”. You have many things in there needing Materials, so the Material(s) drop to help make them. Until they completely made and pulled out of the “Craftable System” aka The Replicator, the game assumes it still needs the drops. Just like the Energies you listed. So the game sees a need and they will drop n drop n drop until the items goes away and Materials needed no more.
Talosian Stewie is an odd one out in there, but not unusual in the Crafting Systems we have seen them use in the game. They are aware of Player’s response to it. Right now, with 10 days left, there is nothing that CAN be done to change it. Unless of course you want them to wipe out Talosian Stewie coding from the game. Including the Bertram Battles, his pop ups, his questlines, his tasks…etc etc etc. Not just a “flick of the switch fix” there. 😉
Short story long, this is the way it is… and you are going to have to accept it as silly as it is. Like it or not. Sorry 😉

This is killing me because i still need the hypnospray for beverly crusher (11 more) and yet all the rooms have dropped is the stewie stuff for 2 straight days. Clearing a borg hasnt dropped one in around 24 hours either.

So a glitch I am currently experiencing is in the phaser battle, the “red target” zone is an inch below the actual Regular Peterprise as it moves. If I target on the ship the top half of the cockpit (giggity) it is blue. The bottom half and an inch below it is red. Going to try a force close and reboot to see if that helps.

Its happened 3 times now, that the top 3rd of my screen stops working, except i can pull down the notification panel and then it all works pull it back up and the same portion of screen still doesn’t work. Stays like that even after i exit the game. 1st time had to hard reset, 2nd and 3rd time i used one of those cleaner apps to clean up junk files and it started working fine. Im not 100%sure about famguy being the problem except its happened all 3 times when i start playing it and kept pushing the coin wondering why it wasnt responding. Has this happened to anyone else? Just the top part of the screen upright and landscape.

If it’s a Memory drain. It can be due to the game but only in the sheer amount of Memory it drains and takes to run it. It is HUGE. So some devices really struggle. Can you delete anything else of the device? Got the time and patience to make sure everything, including the game, is saved somewhere and do a complete wipe on the device? If so, just make sure Family Guy is linked to an email or Facebook for easy logging back in and reloading your progress.
Outside that, you can seek out the issue on your device specific to see if it is a reported device issue.

A couple of weeks ago the floor of my enterprise disappeared and the stars and whatnot of space also disappeared. Nothing else has really changed with the ship, but it is weird. Is this a common thing?

Sounds like a possible memory lag/connection issue. The images aren’t completely rendering. I’d suggest restarting your device. Double checking the availability of memory on it and see if you can make more room. Make sure signal is good too.

Everything else has been great. The floor just disappeared a couple of weeks ago and hasn’t come back. The memory is good and I’m on blazing fast Wi-Fi.

I’m getting a kick out of this whole SW/ST mix up. I was thinking a lot of the same things as the rest of ’em. You know how Peter says, ‘Is she strong with the force?’ When you finish the quest for Troi? Then he says, ‘Sorry, that’s the ‘Other franchise’ we refer to a lot.’
It’s funny how even Peter gets the two mixed up. TinyCo Has an AWESOME sense of humorous!

Yep I’m 100% freemium, I was so far behind after about 3days, I had about 10 condoms n hardly any hydrosprays, I was even still room swapping at that point….
but since they changed the drops I’ve finally stopped room swapping, the rooms nearly feel like guaranteed drops now lol n i have just unlocked vulcan quagmire n need 1 more hydrospray with a few hrs 2 go!!
Definitely doable just need 2 log in a few more times a day

So for clearing the Red shirts you need Crusher or Q. But unlocking Beverly takes a lot of time. Even with the switch trick 55 Hypospray not as easy as it seems.
Is it just me or are the making these events things more difficult than just difficult each time they start a new one?

I don’t advise room switching for the hypospray as the room build is 10 hours so your only guaranteed 2 every 10 hours, whereas the room collection is only 2 hours, and collecting both rooms over the same 10 hours, basically 10 collection opportunities will give you more, I found I was getting them very frequently, at least 1 room sometimes both dropped every collection. Hope this helps you catch up little.

I tried the room collection after 12 hours I had nothing. And checkt every 2 hours. But it is save to say that add this rate I’m getting no where. Frustrating little event this one

You should send them an in game message if no drops from both rooms over 12 hours, something maybe off in your game as I had all 55 playing freemium by Tuesday. You should also be getting them clearing Borgs, although not every time. Hope you get sorted out.

I have retired from Family Guy quest for stuff. I hope enough other people do as well that TinyCo will do more research and preparation before launching the next event.

✨ahh okay I see now well I’m pretty bummed out that the ONLY way to get Klingon Meg is you HAVE to buy all 3 premium characters!!? 😞 I thought it was gonna be to just collect stuff for her to unlock her for free or whAtever like that ya know lol!.,I haven’t bought ANY of the premium Star Trek characters and don’t plan on getting any at all! I just wanted a chance to unlock ALL the Griffins’ Star Trek costumes just cause it’d totally be awesome of course ☺
✨I just got Locutus today and finally got to phase4 questlines!!! Now there are those Red Shirts on FIRE running around my Enterprise, lmao looks so funny! I’m REALLY REALLY close to unlocking Vulcan Quagmire & Dr.Beverly Crusher also!!., Oh wait before I forget does Locutus have his OWN separate questline or is it just “The Road to Recovery” ??? I’m on “The Road to Recovery” Pt.2 by the way…✨💫

Step away. Seriously. I find that trying to focus and shoot when rushed or anxious does NOT help. Not at all. Step away. Let the Phaser Energy (I assume that’s what you meant) build up. Then try again at a later time. Or even the next day. Honestly. Patience, focus, and watching it for a bit to see its movements helps. (See my post on it.) 😉

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but the “lag” on the Phaser Battle screen occurs exactly every 60 seconds – for a 2 second duration.
I would suggest timing it out with a clock and simply waiting for the “time dilation” to pass before firing at anything. Hope this helps…

Re XP: I find the Klingon Temple better for getting XP. It costs less Dilithium per XP point than the other options (1.25 vs 2.50). I just gave me a boost, and I’ll get another one if necessary.
While not as competitive in resource cost (42.5 XP per resource unit vs 80 in the case of the casket), it works for me. Dilithium is a precious commodity, and the characters want bagfulls of it to unlock, while I have a stash of unused Transport Energy.
I’m waiting to see how much Ferengi Data will want. I’ll get to at least hear him, as I bought the premium building with clams. That gives me an advantage on the Life Support Energy front. I’m at 50/80 now.

Wow that’s strange doesn’t seem 2 b an advantage buying the premium buildings, I’ve not bought any premium stuff n i have 210 life support energy I did room swap the crew quarters at the start, but I noticed they drop almost every 2 hrs so I just stopped as I have so much of them, n they just keep dropping

I’ve enjoyed playing the game the past few days, which is a welcome change of pace since the start of this event. But the drops for the Trek Doctor and Vulcan Quagmire have been far more consistent than the earlier characters. I still need about 20 hyposprays for the Doctor, and while it’s slow-going, I have faith that she’ll unlock sooner than later. The space condoms are similarly a doable WIP thanks to the increased drop rate in phaser energy. I should have him unlocked sometime tomorrow.

Tribles never spawn now. You have to shoot the shielded peter craft 2x BEFORE it leaves the screen. Really hard to do when it lags so badly…

I have noticed phaser energy dropping more frequently! And I don’t know if it’s just me gaining skill or if the shielded petercraft was made easier to hit but I didn’t miss today! Yay, which is really good because I stopped trying for a while and just kept collecting phaser energy ao I could afford some misses.
I am having fun with this event so far. With the recent changes vulcan Quagmire no longer seems impossible.
I like this event because of it’s long duration and although I was used to needing to have everything unlocked for the next level, it is not the case with this event and have also found that you don’t even really need to be up to the end of the main questline, just close to it with the proper starfleet level and they letyou upgrade your warpcore anyway, so I haven’t fallen behind due to it taking long to unlock the new characters and costumes.
I love game and just love this blog! I come here often for the updates and tricks. I like to advance quickly and like knowing what is next in my questlines so I don’t tie up characters in long actions right before needing them.
I like Locutus however I am sad he didn’t have a questline, although i have so many questlines that Peter is too busy so maybe it’s a good thing. I missed out on Patrick Stewart as I started playing near the end of the comicon event and didn’t have time to get him so I do hope that he comes back. A Captain Picard would be of interest as well with some of his Start Trek sayings that we all love. Ok I admit, I just love his voice so the more the merrier! Haha

Im sorry to post this, but I have officially quit this game. All the glitches have made it impossible for me to play. Please dont suggest I contact support because I did. They never respond. Same thing happened during the valentines event. No response.I have gone through all the troubleshooting tips and nothing works. Its too bad because I have spent significant money on this game and I cant play it. Thank you for this blog, it has been very helpful to me in the game. Good luck to everyone out there. Hopefully Tinyco can learn to listen to their paying customers in the future.

Just one? If you only see option for one, check to make sure no other rooms are building. If they are, the game sometimes won’t allow more to build til it’s done. Most rooms allow 2 each. Make sure you also scroll to the end of unlocked rooms. Sometimes they get mixed in together and end up in odd spots in the rooms menu.

Also try to restart device and make sure you’re up to date from app market.

Also, make sure you are trying to make that purchase from any other room OTHER than the Genetics lab you already own. You cant switch from a room to another room of the same kind.

I have all replicator items but am still coming up short with Starfleet xp. Are you able to buy duplicate items to receive duplicate Starfleet xp?

You can also get a ton of XP points by building Vulcan High Command buildings. They cost 1000 crystals but you get 400 XP points I think. I built three and I’m about to be on Level 9.

I do see phaser energy dropping pretty uncommon will get one or two from a character and none from the rooms. I do think the change is good for I have at least three drop before. I did buy q and the other character which helps with the qv. I have not noticed the lagging even though I am still getting some better at the two shots for the shielded petercraft which several hrs ago managed to shoot two. I am slowly getting to the teens almost there. I figure by Saturday I should get him. I just happy crusher was not as hard as Deanne. Sorry for the small rant. 🙂

By swapping rooms, your phaser energy will drop more consistently. It takes longer to build the room, but the drop rate makes building new rooms the better choice

Vulcans a bit of a con isn’t it? I mean it’s 100 clams to buy, most people will buy it to speed up Quagmire and most of the characters you can send (4 energy per time) are premium. If you send the already unlocked ones you get nothing back. You are better of using phaser energy to get halfway and then spending less than 100 clams to buy the rest of his condoms,

It depends what you want out of it. It’s still useful to some. Just because it’s there does not mean you HAVE to get it. It’s a choice. Just like a mystery box. YOUR choice to proceed. No one’s forcing you. 😉

Not quite a thing with the event, but has anyone else noticed that Kool-Aid Man no longer has his joint 12 task with Chris at the skate park…? I just scrolled down through his list to put him on a long task for the night and noticed the 10 hour task was at the bottom. Or is it because Chris is kind of “indisposed” at the moment on the Enterprise?

Yup. Only thing not in quahog is chris. But the task doesn’t even show as unable to be done due to a character being busy like others.

Is anyone having trouble with tribble spawning? I’m on my 8th hour of waiting after opening the sick bay and I am having no luck with the tribbles 😕 just trying to see if it’s just something up with my device.

You’re so lucky! Tribbles causing me always trouble: they spawn at the most inconvenient time, clearing one often ends in a chain reaction and of course you clear the first by accident when you on the hurry and just wanted to send a character on a task.😫 At least they compensate the trouble sometimes with a clam

I still don’t understand why many are saying that the phaser energies have been dropping more, and the rooms have been giving them as well as the characters more often. I still don’t see that much of an improvement as far as the drops are concerned. Also why do they have tasks that take away from characters that are being used to get items in order to unlock someone? For instance tasks given to Deanna Troi that keep her from getting phasers?

Doesn’t help that in game, both these items say, Destroy a shielded PeterCraft (takes two hits) not destroy a regular one! Realised this the other day and now well on the way to gathering them!

I have been trying to win Herbert’s costume for some time now with no luck. I have tried many different combinations of crew but no luck. The costume shows up in the planet when I select it but Not when I look at Al’s. Is Herbert supposed to show up as a costume in Al’s even if I haven’t “won” it from the planet yet?

NO. He disappears from the Planet if you are Creating someone ELSE in Al’s. Same thing happens with Ferengi Mort and will happen with any other costumes on Enterprise. Only can make one at a time.

Yup, I’m having issues with the game locking up on me. A few mins ago my phone locked up and I had to pull the battery. Yesterday I updated a patch for Lolipop, and updated this game to the newest update. This kinda stuff is very common though with this game.
On another note, has anyone noticed Tribbles are dropping more clams than usual? The last two spawns I’ve had netted me 2 clams each spawn. I was a bit leary posting this because I figure it’s a mistake on TinyCo’s part. It’s either that or hell is freezing over, or the sky is falling..lol

I think sending away teams to get Herbert’s skin is glitched. I’ve done it like 20 times without getting the skin but despite sending 3-4 characters every time, I’ve earned the alternate prize of 15 crystals only 3 times even though the chances of getting it is SUPER HIGH (which I mean, big deal who cares, but still – the odds dictate that I should get it like, nearly every time). No… sounds bout right. He IS Rare. That means you will take a really big Chance to get him. Some have tried 30+ times. Just look at the results in the comments from the Transporter tries.

I must have gotten lucky, I got herbert maybe 4th time? I only sent 1 person it was almost impossible tp get, bubut I got him on luck.

Quick question Bunny: has anyone posted about getting the Herbert skin? What kind of actions does he have? Any drops?
It’s a strange and creepy skin to want so bad (it’s a bit much to be seeing of Herbert LoL) but darn it, I want it!
PS: I should definitely rewatch the episode the skin is based upon on Netflix, right? Thanks for pointing that fact out in one of your previous posts! 🙂

All I can say for whatever reason, I have never had to uninstall this game before. Nor have I ever had to clear the data. I have now had to both 3 times each JUST in the last week.
Its one thing to have to do it once, but to have to spend 30 min to an hr uninstalling, clearing and re installing just to get into the game is starting to get very old.

I dont have the newest phone, lol but the sad thing is this is the only app on my phone. Takes all room…been that way for 6 mos….so yeah I guess I need a new phone, but still all at once…thx for replying…Its a samsung majesty btw which is hard to even find info on..been great till now.

I have a question, I am at Warp Core 3, I do not have Ferengi Mort and I have not freed Deena yet, I am getting the Tribbles and the red and blue shirts as well, and built the 4 buildings in Quohog that are available with the crystals and the 2 ST monuments, Bridge is unlocked Borg Captain and Deena have some items but not many and Chris’s character isn’t done yet in the wardrobe, items needed, SO::
#1DO I need to switch out a room to wardrobe services to free Deena,
#2 If I get Ferengi Mort, can he go on away missions??
I have only 700+ in Dilithium crytals so I need to chose wisely to make the most of it right now! TY for your help and the awesome site!

#1 For Deanna… She needs mainly Chocolates, so use the Planets in the Transporter and send Geordi and any Klingon you have to get good chances. (Watch the bars go up when you add a Character). The rest of the items, get one or two rooms that drop the item you need.
#2 Yes Mort can… Just search “Transporter” to go to the posts with the details. 🙂

OK I can’t seem to find the answer about the Wardrobe services, I have 9 of the 10 pictures and the Space Crapper as well as the visitors are about done with that, so do I HAVE to have the Wardrobe services just for the 35 headbands or will the Crapper start dropping other items after I get the 10 Pictures for Deena, sorry I’m really new here and I have looked over a lot if the posts and can’t seem to nail this down, it is part of the Questline for Come to your senses Pt 1 so I am guessing I have to have it for a while at least to complete that?? Again, sorry if you have covered this I can’t seem to find and need to make decisions as I have only Geordi, Riker and Peter after he gets Megs Birht Cert.

It seemed impossible to unlock Vulcan Quagmire and Doctor Crusher in the time we had. I did purchase Q and the Vulcan planet which helped tremendously with VQ. Doctor Crusher I will get without using clams and only have 11 hyposprays left. I could unlock her today! This event is difficult, but I still love it!

I know, right! We usually take less than a week to finish this but I realize that less people are chosen to drop drops! Tiny Co wants us to use clams/real money to buy them if we really want them to unlock them quicker!

✨Just made Starfleet Lois today FINALLY!!! .. Still need a few more Laser Pointers for Locutus!!! UGH!!!! it’s getting better tho slowly, but surely. I have not seen any Red Shirts of course because of the fact I haven’t triggered the first part of “Road to Recovery” questline yet. 👍

Red shirts seem so random. I’ve been on part 2 of R to R for a few days and figured I needed to unlock Dr Crusher before I got them but they just randomly showed up today. Hoping they haven’t replaced my tribbles! 🙂
(11 more needle thingies to go for Crusher before I can start getting rid of them.)

Allowing the face/front of the larger Petercraft to be targeted was a tremendous help. I just now unlocked Vulcan Quagmire and can finally start chipping away at the side quests that have gone untouched due to the phaser energy/condom demands.

The tutorial on phaser shooting was very helpful and I am glad TinyCo is looking into game lagging and those pesky asteroids. The smaller Petercraft doesn’t help matters either, especially when it is not needed any more once you have Locutus and Lois. Here’s hoping they do something about all of it. I did see a comment in the phaser shooting post where 84 successful hits should have been enough as time consuming as that is considering the time wait for phaser energy to drop even as it drops more frequently. That seems like a rationale compromise. I am trying to enjoy the event, but I am certainly not faring as well as I would like. I like the variety, but the increasing difficulty over the six weeks has been a drain. It isn’t surprising to read the number of comments from people who have quit the event or even the game entirely.
