Well we’ve all made it through another week and the weekend is here! It’s been a little while since we’ve had a “What the Hell”….so we figured what a better way to start the first weekend of the New Year then with a way to get everything that ticked you off from the year before off your chest!
All week we field your comments about your frustrations in the game (What you mean there’s nothing to spend my last 9,999 cookies on?!) and we wanted to give you (and us) a fun new way for you to voice your frustrations and get it all off of your chest.

Here’s my What the Hell?! For this week:
-I completely unlocked Jillian and then did the Mystery Box….and STILL won 4 Party hats…what the hell?!
-I had 96,436 cookies in my game. Enough for 9 tries at the Mystery Box….but what the hell am I supposed to do with the remaining 6,436 cookies?!
-The Sandlot 2. What. the. Hell. is up with that movie?! Why did someone think it’d be a good idea to remake a classic?!

Wth i bought a new phone and all the characters i achieved while events like Felicia Day, Jasper and Freddy Krueger don’t say anything anymore, does anyone know what i can do about that please??

WTH – reading all the whiney posts about having loads of stockings left over and no way of converting them.
You all sound like children. You just want want want!
You obviously all had enough to get what the stockings were meant for , so be happy.
Like myself I bet you all got all or mist the characters and prizes available, and we were lucky enough to be able to use the cookies for the New years event, but still- all I’m reading is whinge whinge whinge.
How many people out there that don’t frequent this site and just ‘ play’ the game do u think spent their cookie surplus to the max on decorations before the Xmas event ended not knowing they could be used for new years – tonnes I bet .
This is a great game , always giving more in the way of stuff to do, but to those concerned, its just not enough!
Get a life ! Get some perspective !

What the f***ing hell?! I’ve got 49 characters and only around 18 ever have necessary tasks to do. Sunk a lot of real money into this game… I should be rewarded with my freemium and special event characters helping out with the rest of the game as well.
I understand the whole “make em always pay more” scheme, but seriously.

WTH!?
I’ve been playing this game for about a year now. When I first got the game I was using my old Motorola Razr MAXX and had no problems. I then upgraded to the Galaxy S5 in April and have consistently found more and more issues. It started with laggy game play, but since April I’m up to 51 characters and I think I’ve bought every non clam item and decoration since then. Now my game crashes constantly, especially during events when there are extra characters walking around on the screen(by the time all the mall Santa’s, reindeer, rude customers, and Snowmen were walking around I’d make it about 2 minutes before it would crash). I can’t visit more than 2 neighbors, click on all finished buildings/activities, or build new structures without the game crashing. The MOST FRUSTRATING part of all of this is that usually what I’ve done the few minutes prior to the crash doesn’t get saved. So I spend half the time assigning the same tasks and activities that I literally just did. I’ve contacted customer support numerous times with no response and I’m to the point where if an update doesn’t come out to fix this issue by the end of January to make it at least playable, my new years resolution will unfortunately be finding a new game.

WTH… While the start up image still shows Stewie with his plutonium from Santa… But not in the game… And, if you’re going to buy a big vehicle, learn to park it without causing a traffic jam, or park somewhere other than the front row!

OMG!! Or for GOD SAKE, don’t take up two parking spaces near the front! Seriously … We Know you gotta brandy new toy, but if you wanna keep it pristine, angle parking near the front, consuming two to three parking spaces is not going to win friends and influence admiration!

Yeah really! wth??!!! I’ve got 9792 cookies left! had a butt load of stockings! Tell me again why we couldn’t convert stockings into cookies? Grrrrr….
And wth! I can’t even enjoy a relaxing evening of watching football🏈 because It’s the Steelers and the Ravens…😡 Oh hey… big bad football player! It’s called karma when you purposely tuck your head down to deliver an illegal helmet to helmet hit and then you’re the only one staggering off the field with a concussion!😋lol it’s illegal cause it’s dangerous…Doh!

I have two tidbits to share. A definite WTH and an awesomeness I want to share.
1) Two weeks before Christmas I get a quad core Android 4.4 tablet brand new. I open it up and start testing to make sure that I know how to use it before giving my 13 year old her brand new tablet. One of the first things I do is download Family Guy and start playing. It works like a charm so much better than on my tiny phone. Then TinyCo decides to release version 1.5.5 for some reason suddenly after 2 weeks of gameplay just before Christmas it is incompatible with my brand new tablet. What the hell! I immediately report this to them through the game and get a canned response that the new update hasn’t been approved by all platforms(?) I replied advising them its some sort of incompatibility on Google play with my tablet that has the same version of Android as my phone which took the update no problem. Now it’s been two weeks with no response. I have sent the messages via email, through the app, and updated my Google Play rating. All I want is a real answer to why this issue exists or when they’re going to fix it.👹
2) Now for the cool. If you have the Christmas Elf or reindeer décos you now have a way to check your mazes before a special event with runners. The elf or reindeer will go whatever the shortest route to the road is so set up your maze and drop your elf or reindeer in the middle as a tester to check consistency and stability of your maze. Now I can nuke my town, pre pre-stage event mazes and test their consistency without having to have the event going on with runners I’m trying to catch. 😸
…now if I could only use the awesome on a screen where I can see what I’m doing…
Finally I’d like to say thank you to Bunny and Alissa. If it weren’t for you and this site my boyfriend and I would have given up on this game long ago. 💖

Also the cleaner did not turn up at my flat this week. Hope she comes soon because the bin is almost full… And yesterday I wanted to have a quick swim in my pool and the cover couldn’t open. What a drag…

If not, all you did was use your accumulated stash to clear that requirement. Its easy to do without noticing it- I did it myself.
you still only need the combined 30 champagne glasses, but by the time you are ready to clear the Tower you’ll probably be ready to clear Jillian. All that changes is the timing of the quests clears, your total time and number of items gathered don’t.

The whole Christmas event was a big what the hell?!
I did enjoy the event but always felt like I was behind and was very lucky to unlock everything.
Characters needed for unlocking characters/skins or do storyline tasks? That’s ok. Character’s needed for unlocking characters/skins AND long storyline tasks at the same time? That’s not ok. I must have done about 30 story tasks in the week after Christmas because there was no time to squeeze them in as I needed the characters for other things, what the hell?!
Some random what the hells.
Another maze? I don’t get the patch to freeze the shoppers? 50 clams for 250 cookies? 5 days to unlock a skin for Joe? Unlocking Angel Bruce after he’s not needed anymore? Sending John to fight the Yeti only to find he’s in the mall wrapping presents? How much %^*$^&* health on that Yeti?!
The biggest what the hell?! was my credit card getting stopped in the middle of December, some lovely timing by the company there, nothing untoward they just wanted some documentation that I don’t have, not within their required date range anyway. So I’m running around buying Google gift cards to buy clams, providing they even stock different amounts and not ones that are 2.5x what I actually need.
Blah, blah, blah. Hope you all had a nice holiday season and have a great new year.

I think Tinyco just wants to give break to its developers for NYE and hence came up with the tasks for Jillion which are way more time consumin for players like me who don’t want to spend clams to speed up the tasks unless absolutely needed.

I bought like 8,000 cookies of dickens lights and pointsetias will make a maze some time. WTH…yah stockings, had a whack of em ASSuming would be doing the trade in thing. Hey…left stuff in the silver and gold because I didnt need or want more stockings or cookies. Hows about those things come up to get with extra stocking points? WTH…happened in 2014 with all the violence and hate. I for one person will try and be a better kinder citizen.. by good everyone and instead of dunking cold water on yourselves support clean water for those that dont have any.

I can’t really muster up enough ire for a true WTH, and I’m sure there will be a feedback section on the Holiday event poll, but I was SUPER disappointed that there was no materials conversion option like we got in the Halloween event. Not only did I have 400+ candy cane stockings, I had 65 fur ball bombs that I held off from using (and potentially getting clams) because I “knew” we’d be able to trade them in again. I think I could have easily gotten another 10,000 cookies.

What the hell couldn’t convert left over stocking to cookies, saved all those cookies and used them up to get a head start on the new year, really wanted the snowman but only got the reindeer, mall Santa and materials. I wish I held off and read here before spending but my Internet was down, (different WTH) for over 4 hours during the event release and didn’t want to fall behind with the new year event. Why was the conversion so much Tiny Co? I’m now sat here with 9648 cookies begging to be used.
Also has any one noticed that the pay out for the normal town hall is double the snowy town hall skin yet all the other buildings that have skins are the opposite in that the alternative event skins pay out more?

Check the times on the buildings. Longer collect times usually equal higher payouts. BUT, if you set the shorter time skin and collect regularly, you end up with more. In some cases. Much like 2 1hr tasks generally payout more than the 2 hr task.

I slowly saved up 82 clams and during the Christmas event it disappeared! I got so upset I almost gave up on the game. My fiance told me I was being ridiculous. But it took forever!!! WHAT THE HE’LL!

Yeah! WTH happened with all our stockings? I had a lot of each one of them from bombing a few of the procrastinators, the Yeti, and a few snowmen, not to mention from Babs, Jasper, Lois, Paul and Bruce when they were with the mall santas or the reindeers, so they went to waste because all we got were the cookies, and they were not enough to open the gift box no more than ten times, and get all the items. I got a few but didn’t get the snowman!!!

Hi! My Name is Vincent and I had play this game for the past 3months.
During the christmas event I had unlock puppy brian from the christmas gifts but I had not unlock brian yet from the Quahog Library.
Later this week I finally unlock brian but I cant find the puppy brian skin anymore. What the hell.
I worked so hard but now its gone. So unfair.
I hope if Tinyco could consider this problem.

Did you check your character tab in the Inventory Storage in your main menu? Al’s? Tap on Brian and scroll left n right to put the skin on him?

Sometimes its a bit confusing as there are too many things happening at the same time on this game.

I’ve done that. My alarm is set exactly “8 or so” hours later so I can finish a task on time. I should’ve did it during the Christmas event I wiuldv completed so much more like puppy Brian or defeating king yeti so now I’m doing it to complete Jillian smh

Yup. Been borrowing friends’ phones and tablets just to check in. Not able tomplay regularly. Which I’m finding (unfortunately for TinyCo) has reminded me that this game isn’t as important to me as I felt it was for so long. I may tke a break from playing altogether. Something I never planned. But as much of an addict as I am, not being able to play due to a glitch has helped me recover from my constant check ins. Much to the chagrin of TC and my lonely charcters. I bet they miss me. Forced to do 4 hour tasks repeatedly for 12 hours until I can borrow another compatible device…

Ive played since the start and i was only missing 2 freemium characters (king butt and human rupert) which never really bothered me since they were barely in the show. but now im missing jesus cause it was too hard to get stockings without a premium?! Not sure this is the proper thread, but my champagne glasses counter in the rite of passage tower reset to 1 glass. It had been checked complete for over 20 hours. Is this normal or a known glitch? Oh yeah, what the hell?

Check the amount needed for Julian. She needs 20 and the tower needs 10 more for a total of 30. If you checked complete 20 off for Julian, that could reduce the counter for the tower. You can easily do this without even knowing.

That was the other thing I was going to ask… Did you just clear a character with the same materials used? As it does in Al’s, shared Materials will go to the Character being cleared…the extras will go to the ones left behind. In this case…if you clear Jillian and used the Materials, any leftover will show for the Tower.

Bunny, its impossible to unlock Jillian before finishing the Tower quest because you need Jillian’s apartment, which you get by completing the Tower, to get Jillian. So its got to be something else.

It’s NOT impossible to unlock her individual Materials. If you tap on them and “check” them off…it’ll take them away.

Why are they using on a few of the characters to give us things we need to unlock Jillian? I have like 15 other character doing absolutely nothing when their time could be used helping. Get it together tinyco.

What is it with Bruce that it takes him 20 freaking hours to pick a kitten. I could do this task in an hour tops, the kittens are so cute, he should just take them all home.

My biggest what the hell of 2014 for this game was the Kool Aid Man event. I didn’t get the boombox in my town. I put every single building and decoration in storage and waited until the day before the event ended to hear back from Tinyco. Got the boombox the day it ended, obviously giving me no time to do anything, alas, no KoolAid Guy for me! I love that guy! Oh yeah! I hope they bring him back again, with no glitches!!!!

We can’t use the left over stockings for anything! What was the point of all the snowman tapping and shopper bombing after unlocking the few gifts?! People kick but to get enough snowflake stocking to unlock Jesus (I didn’t get enough) but when he helps kill the Yeti, all the stockings he drops are then useless! I was expecting like in previous events that the left over items are recycled. They could have been converted into cookies to help more so with the New Years Eve event.
Speaking of Jesus, I’m curious if anyone was able to get him without purchasing a premium character. Until Jingle Joe came in on the second-to-last week (plus the time to collect items for him), I can’t imagine earning many snowflake stockings with just Lois and Mort fighting the Yeti. And I play a LOT. To get up to 100 snowflake stocking, you’d have to beat up to Childish Yeti 5 times. That’s 4 hours for each multiple attack cycles per hat, 4 for the rest periods between each hat, 28 hours so he resets back down to a hat you have a chance to beat and it’s mostly within the last week and a half after getting Jingle Joe to help.

I got Jesus without a single premium character and not one clam spent. The yeti was hibernating when the fourth update came and when I found out that a fourth character was not being added to help (which is what I was banking would be happening), I delayed taking the update so I got to fight top hat yeti a second time before it upgraded to king yeti so I got 50 SS over two days. I let it reset and started again. Then I fought to top hat again and that gave me over 100. I actually stuck with it and beat king yeti (35 kills!) with Jesus only to see if it could be done. No clams spent but I set an alarm four nights to wake up and resend out the characters (three for top hat, one for king). It was the holiday week and I got Jesus (CLAMS!), so I think it was worth it in my mind.

Ooooh that was clever! I’ll use that in the future. Thanks! My best strategy was that I’d start Lois and Joe battling him when he had 1 life point left and then finish him off with a completed Mort task. When he came back in 4 hours Lois and Joe were ready to deal damage right away. It helped but just barely edged out TopHat. It’s funny that I did the timer every 4 hours too.

Still can’t update game, still can’t visit neighbors, still can’t get free clams from those visits, couldn’t use my 25+ boxes for neighbors during Christmas, putting me behind in items & more claims, but at least I have over 10,000 Cookies – so 10 chances to win some claims…. NOPE, no clams for me. What the hell????

WTH!! I just GOTTA get this one off my chest! I ALWAYS get stuck behind the trog that is going 80km/hr when I am on the way to work and on the way home, they are even slower! No matter WHAT time I leave my house I am stuck behind Grandpa Putt-Putt on the way there and Granny Fanny Nesselrode on the way back home. *sigh* if you CAN’T handle Highway driving … PULL OVER instead of bottle-necking traffic! *sigh* Thank you!

New Year’s Eve balls drop event starting on New Year’s Day. What the hell?!?!?!? The balls (or cows or deuce or clubs or whatever) hit the roofs in every part of the world at least 12 hours before the event even started and it’s now nearly three days later and the balls in the game are still up in the sky. I know TinyCo is working hard to provide us with fun content, and I love ’em for that, but I hate holiday events that linger well past the holiday.
3,600 uneaten Christmas cookies staring at me, reminding me how wasteful we are these days. I could have shipped them to Africa or a refugee camp on the Syrian border to feed some hungry children … or at least traded them in for some more poinsettias and snowmen. What the hell?
And zombies. I’ve taken to sleeping with a machete under my pillow for fear that the undead will break through my bedroom window and try to chomp my brain. I always have it in hand when I wake up for the 4 a.m. alarm to check my Family Guy tasks, just waiting for the inevitable crack of the glass. You laugh, but I tell you it is coming. The zombies are coming to munch all our brains. WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?!?!

Image “place holder”. The task was an Event Currency paying task, it should have swapped over to regular payout…but…instead only has the place holder icon of $999. No worries. Been reported. It will be fixed soon.

What’s with all the tasks for Bruce in the New Year’s event? He has two tasks to drop items but I can’t ever get him to do them because he needs to spend 60 hours picking kittens…and now he’s supposed to be giving out flyers for the main questline as well! What the hell??

I like to call that ‘being thrown down the well’ and its Tinyco’s favorite method of ‘balancing’ events.
You see this tiny circle of light- that Bruce, and his ability to only do one task at a time.
Then you look up the impossibly high smooth stone walls of the well- thats the total number of things Bruce has to do to succeed.
And Tinyco is there going ‘good luck getting to the top chief, heh’
To be fair, its totally doable but you have to be a highly motivated individual. Or spend Clams.
At least in this case the event is (so far) untimed, so all that’s at stake are bragging rights.

What error code? Try some basic troubleshooting and notify them through your game if that doesn’t help.
