Love changes every thing part four says tuxedo brian is required to carry story line from that poit. Is that no longer true. Are premium skins going to be the new way to cont a story line. What value will it have in future game play. Like to see more use of my newly acquired thanksgiving an christmas characters. Otherwise why have them. Game is about gaining more stuff. They actually have been incorporating Premiums a LOT more into the game. Reusing buildings from the past for drops, Characters, etc. They really are listening and making the changes.

Dialog is coming. And yes he will be required for that as the task is to get him. But you don’t have to unless you want to. Otherwise the quest stops there and will go away when the event does.

Although since I’ve been playing I’ve got every Family Guy costume/character, I just see no reason in using clams for the Brian skin. It’s gonna be useless once the event is over. I’ve decided I’m not gonna get any skin worth clams anymore unless I really want them!

I could be missing something here, but doesn’t it make more sense to buy the cocktail bar rather than buying Brian’s new costume? The bar drops both bracelets and necklaces, where Brian drops only necklaces. You save 25 clams with this method. Does Brian do something else that I’m not seeing?

Finally got the Jillian fix! I unlocked her and did not crash. The key is I had to exit the game (or reboot my phone) for it to take effect. I wonder if it ha been fixed a while and they just never told me until the 3rd time I contacted them through the Help feature of the game.

Good news is Brian’s Tux Skin gives Black Necklaces all the time. Makes it more worthwhile to get the bar though.

While 150 clams is not a bad price for Brian’s skin. I wish they would have just made him like a million coins instead. I have millions of coins and nothing to spend them on. But other than I’m pretty happy. Just waiting to see your review on should I buy or not for Brian’s skin.

Wth…2 common items and 2 extra rare for jillian? Bit steep if you ask me. Im not too fussed over this new years questline and outfits mainly because of the fairly steep requirements for them both. Ill see how I go though, wasnt too bothered about intimate apparel peter but still managed to get him without clams.

That is where I am stuck too. And I put up a couple of buildings that say they will drop New Year’s Jillian items. But they aren’t since there is no Jillian. And we can’t start using characters to get other New Year’s Jillian items. They need to fix this now AND extend the time beyond the 15th for every day they are late (1 already).

I feel like they added Joe and Mort for the common items with long tasks purposely so you would set them on it before realizing their costumes were needed for the extra rare items. I now have to wait until tomorrow morning for Joe to start on the extra rare and tonight for Mort. If both tasks were their regular selves, at least we could have seen which task was more optimal to set them on. Wouldn’t have been as bad if they didn’t drop it at an hour when most people on the east coast were sleeping. Just my thought.

I think 150 clams is a really good price for Brian’s alt compared to if you wanted to buy Jillian’s alt outright without having to farm for the pieces for it. I myself have also just unlocked the mayor and am now working on Jillian’s alt and the pain in the butt cologne bottles. Hopefully I will be done with the main storyline before District 10 comes out which I get the feeling may hit right after this event is done.

After watching and being disappointed by Brian skin, I started to think, that I rather get stuff to instant buy skins, it feels like a game waiting to tap a check mark and getting your hopes up for that last item that you need to fully unlock a skin or character.
I guess I’m one of the few people that really like how the game works.

Currently I have 166 clams (all of which I earned in-game), so my question is… Will it be it be worth spending almost all of my clams on Brian’s new skin? I want it for completion but unless the steep price is justified then I’d rather not spend all of my clams. Thanks in advance!

Also, I know its hard to tell because this part of the event just started, but does anybody else think it will be very difficult to get Jillian’s new outfit in the week we have before it ends? 10 extra rare seems like a lot in such a short time (remember how difficult it was to get 10 extra rares for Stewie?!)

It all depends on how they drop. I stopped looking at their labels long time ago as it seems the drops are still so random. I have seen all my Extra Rares drop many times during collection long before the Rares did.

Would like to see a survey on Jesus and the number of clams people have received since the acquired the. I put him on task with a mini break between and he HAS NEVER dropped a clam. I’ve been sending him on this rotation just after I acquired and completed the top Hat Yeti, shortly a day after the quest posted.

Wow, I really love all of the freemium buildings that were added; these won’t be out of place after the event! Bought the Brian skin. I’m at the point where I have every character and character skin, with the exception of Rolo Cop. I’ve become obsessed with having a complete “roster.” Haha! TinyCo has me in their vice.

Winter wonderland trees has a small orange branch for some reason. I know I’m being really nitpicky, but for 20 clams it should be perfect. You don’t see it when zoomed out but i know it’s there, and that drives my OCD crazy. Also, has any one else noticed that when you send a character on a task within a building, the building will often have a weird bug where the windows are duplicated on top of the building, but shifted slightly? It’s hard to describe, but it’s been around since almost day one.

LOL. I think its intentional. I spotted it right away (as I am usually one grabbing those images)
As for the “overlay” glitch… it impacts games and devices differently. All we can do is report them from our game (as again…it may be a device issue) and have them look into it. That way if it is there end they can fix it… if it is device end… a patch may be needed.

After an excellent christmas event tinyco have dropped the ball here. Why should a skin for a character be 150 clams when, after this story line its never going to be used again. Plus its not even new years they missed that by about a week. And why are they releasing a new year jillian costume 2 days after the character got out when theres plenty of characters with no costumes who have been around since release. Just seems like a major moneygrabbing attempt. They wonder why people hack.

Not sure what all goes into the cost for skin, but it fits in with what we have seen since launch of the game. (When looking at cost of clams to outright unlock skins, most are 400+.) We don’t know what the future of the skin may bring or its usefulness. That is impossible to tell right now.
Jillian is NOT for Clams, so both completely optional and only one requires Clams for use. And it was more to stick with the storyline and keep the flow of that the two were paired.

So I just got my girlfriend into this game and so she got hit with the tail end of Christmas and this New Years event with no characters to help do stuff. She bought jillians egg booth and the rite of passage tower but it will take forever to unlock her thanks to her lack of characters. I know people ask this every time but I just want to be sure. So will Jillian disappear after the event ends or can she take her time and unlock Jillian later? Please help! Thanks!

As with all Events…the Character HAS to be unlocked and roaming the streets in order to be kept once the Event ends. Otherwise…they go with the Event items. Sorry. We will update if any notifications of changes.

We don’t know on questlines until TinyCo lets us know and that is something they usually wait until closer to the end of Event to inform us. It all comes down to if it is possible to pull it beyond or not. If items pulled with the Event will cause conflict as they will no longer be available after the Event.

Bunny, that is not really the point though is it. It is not that we do not want new things, it is just that we cannot fit them in our town anymore.
I do want to buy every thing, but I just don’t have any place to put it. I have got a lot of the things I bought/earned tucked in my inventory and my town is still filled to the brim. I have only just nuked (4 days ago) and rebuilt and now that I am happy with the desin, there is even more (that I want), but do not have space for. Even after sticking everything close together. Hardly anything from the King Butt event or the comic con event is in my town. It’s all in my inventory. And yes I have read your post that said that we shouldn’t want to display every thing at the same time. But most of us do. What’s the use in buying stuff if you have to stick it in your inventory. I am not the type of player who wants to keep redoing parts of my town to display different things at different times. I had so hoped that new district would be unlocked. Oh well, I guess I will just have to learn to live with this.

Actually…it kinda is. There is a LOT of stuff in this game…hence its name…Quest for STUFF. Lol. I know many are like us and want to have it all, but I learned many months back, the land will not hold what is available. I am sure as the game progresses this will change, so we as players have to change our thinking…either stop getting STUFF or store the STUFF. For me it is not so bad as I have conditioned myself over years of play on the OTHER game we write on to store STUFF. I constantly rethink my town design, play with options, move things around…which I know for many may not be ideal.
I am just saying for now…as this will ALWAYS be the Quest For Stuff and with the game not even a year old… we gotta rethink it one way or another. If we want it that bad, where are we gonna put it til the game gets more space? Kick something else out or store it?

If you are speaking of the issue with unlocking characters (tap and it kicks you out) they ARE pushing a fix for it. Specifically Jillian so it won’t lock up the event. They’re making it priority to push a small mini patch for her while they continue to work on the others for the 1.6 Update. We were hoping it hit tonight with the Event …it may still. Just keep checking.
As far as data…yah… I NEVER play app games on data. WiFi only.

Unlocking Jillian has been an issue since at least Sunday – it is now Thursday and still not fixed even with the new event and buildings dropping items for New Years Eve Jillian. I hope they plan to extended deadlines at least 4 days to compensate for their issue.

Sigh…seconds after I send my builders to work building extra old buildings that take 12hrs to build, new content pops up with NEW buildings to build. 😦
But my practice of making extras is beneficial and paying off since I had four cemetery’s in my inventory that’ll help with gathering the extra rare black necklaces for Jillian.
Gotta echo that 150 clams for a SKIN is ridiculous. But they’ll see that we’ll buy it anyway and it’ll be common place in no time.

Yeah, it was listed under Jillian’s NYs costume in Al Herringtons shop as a helpful building for the black necklace. Back during Halloween I built four of em as it musta dropped something important for a character I’m guessing. At the time I had an abundance of clams ;).

My task bar has been empty a few days as well, so I put all of characters on 24 hour tasks except the majors. Just in case! They’re on eight, but I can put them to work with my AM run through. Yay!
Trying to decide if I’m ready to put away Christmas like I did Halloween. I left a few things out, but I think they could release 20 areas of land and it wouldn’t be enough.

Wow 150 clams is ridiculous for a SKIN and not a new character. Greedy TinyCo is greedy. I get it will come with a storyline which will probably last a whole 4 tasks *eye roll*, but damn that’s steep for a skin. Of course as I type this I will be caving in to TinyCo and be purchasing New Year’s Brian due to my OCD… Damn you TinyCo for taking advantage of people’s sicknesses.

I can’t check all the tasks as everybody in the game is busy, but I can only see a couple that are 24 hours, other people doing the same tasks have a much shorter time.
Seamus has a 24 hour task for shoes but the other 3 characters have 6 hour tasks for them.
Mort has a 24 hour task for Bracelets, Stewie and Joe both have 4 hour tasks for them.

Hi again, I had to write back right away. I went back to my quahog again right after I posted and bam, new quests for stuff. I put every character back to work except jesus who is always woking on clams, this will be my 8th straight attempt at turning water into clams, maybey now jesus will do it. I didn’t realize how many characters I had just wondering around, now they are all working once again. Thanks, keep up the good work tinyco.

LOL of course they launch new content at 11:30 eastern. And just after I sent characters on their overnight tasks. Oh well, at least some of them line up with what Jillian needs 🙂

Alissa is in Eastern Time Zone and the site timers are set to that. I am on the west coast. Still…it is a later time drop for the middle of the week. Not something we see normally.

Try being outside the usa. Updates generally drop at 11pm/midnight of later here. I have asked Tinyco many times to drop them before noon their time so Europe has a few hours to play.

I never send anyone on tasks longer than 8 because of the burns I got from the random drop of event updates (there was one that was 2:30 am one time after I had sent everyone on 12hr task. And I believe there was a build that was required 10-12 hr, so about a half day slow). Jesus is my only 24hr worker, but I need to let him go until the morning as he is currently approaching 3 am as a collection time and I am not waking up that early just to get a rare chance for some clams. (Incidentally, I think my biggest Jesus Clam drop was 3 so I am averaging a little less than 1 clam per day currently).

Hi, cant wait for the new stuff, my task bar has been empty for days, so im assuming that I completed auld lang syne part seven, becouse I just checked quahog and nothing new. Jillian has a voice now, although not as loud as the other characters. Hope you all liked my kiss/halloween setup, I thought I was the only one taking time to do this. There are some good ones. Love this game, it shows creativity in people doesn’t it.
