As some of you know there’s been a few issues in the game over the last few days. Two in particular seem to have completely locked some players out of their games. So I am asking anyone with one of the follow error messages to give us more information in the comments in order TinyCo can try get these fixed ASAP.
if you could tell us what you did before the error started, i.e. When the error started? Had you just placed any particular buildings or decorations? If the error started after nuked your town to try fix another error? If so can you give us as much details as possible.
The error codes we need the information on are:
Empty Id in T Bpc:: Config object factory
and
Cannot save building in bad position

I had the same so i nuked my town. Because the new hub is in the water…shoreline boundary was brought in land a couple squares. Quohog Warf will now only place and it looks like the boats are in the sand instead of water…..

I had that “Place building error” too, and I think it was related to using that dinosaur from a tanlines daily quest. One I was able to get that stored – took many tries, things went back to “Normal.”

Slightly off-topic, but two more floors have been added to Tan Lines Resort. That means we are back to collecting keys. My present top floor is still empty, so I don’t see how I’ll get enough vacationers to fill two additional floors. LOL.

I had “Cannot save building in bad position” a day or two before the previous event ended. It would pop up a few seconds after loading the game. This affected both my devices (Hudl1 and Hudl2 as well as Facebook). Reported it to TinyCo and received an auto-reply several days later saying it would be fixed in the next update. Thankfully, I hadn’t needed to wait for their reply or claimed “fix” as the issue had already resolved itself within a day. I do think it was fixed at the server-side (despite TinyCo’s message) since nothing I could do seemed to help.

Right after I posted, I checked and Amazon had the update for my Kindle. I have been checking several time a day and bouncing bettween that and thie site for info. Seems OK so far, a liitle slow at first, due to all of the initial tasks popping up. I barely have any building placed in my town at all times in order to keep the events from causing lags. But will still be buying a new device for my husband soon anyway, so still would like any input. Right now, I am glad I have this sight to help me with a strategy to get caught up.

I am contemplating buying another android device that will allow me to use Google play rather then being forced to us Amazon with my Kindle and have update delays due to there competition with Google. However, with all the error messages I am seeing here, I am not sure that will solve this update issue, Also, need to make sure If I do get another device, this games will work on it. Any suggestions, I do not have much knowledge of mobile devices like I have with the PC.

I had the couldn’t load in bad position error the day before truth event ended. It would open, I collected, and set my tasks. Then the crash would happen. I messaged via email by selecting the report button, rather than in-game messaging. Happened 4 times, I gave it a few hours, happened again 4 times, gave another few hours, then it was fine. No problems since.

I was trying to upgrade the Gunboat and the game locked up. Did a forced restart and didn’t get the upgrade. I’ve been able since then but it may still be a problem fog other players.[image1.PNG]

I had the “Cannot save building in bad position” error towards the end of TJQW event but was later fixed. Can’t remember if it was after Google Play Store released the 1.28.0 upgrade or right before.
Message kept kicking me out after 2-3 mins just while finishing/setting new character tasks.
Galaxy S6 player only.

I had this sometimes the gunboat updated other times I had redo the upgrade.

I had the bad building message before the new event started. I had bought the Brian and Stewie spotlights and immediately placed them. They didn’t have a building. It was just the spotlight, the figure, and the shadow. I would enter the game and start clearing stuff, but soon after moving those two items onto the screen, I’d get the error message.
I got in again and immediately stored them. When I placed them again they included a building that the shadow appeared on and I’ve not had the error message again.
All of that proceeded the new event.

One thing I noticed when this event started is TinyCo shifted the map to fit the play areas in the ocean. The only way to notice is if you look at the beach at the corner and you’ll see the beach along the horizontal line (NW to SE) is not longer a straight line. There’s a little indentation. I’m guessing this is causing the building errors.

Right after i updated but before the event officially started i was able to place the fish decoration for 150 coins each. I brought like 25 of them and placed them on green land. Left the game, came back 30 minutes later only to be locked out with the Empty Id in T Bpc:: Config object factory error code. Haven’t been able to get in my game since event started. I use an android tablet.

I had the problem with the bad building position error and thankfully it was fixed. But I did find that I had a couple buildings all the way on the bottom left corner where they setup the new quest area that when I moved them the bottom line of the building was red like it was down too far. I’m guessing that was where the problem came from. Who knows I’m just glad it was fixed.

I purchased shipwreck point. I got the error MESSAGE CANNOT SAVE BUILDING IN BAD POSITION. Shipwreck point has disappeared from my game. It is not in inventory or available for purchase. I lost my 240 clams and the 13 it should have dropped today.

Which message and when did it start? Did you nuke your Quahog? Please give us as much information as you can.
