Hey there all you Minions!
Remember that one time when you kept saying, “It would be great if TinyCo brought back…“? Well guess what TinyCo is doing? Once again, listening to YOUR requests. There will be some fun Characters coming back, and they all won’t be at once… so keep your eyes on your game over the next week as you will see lots of really cool Characters return and be available until Tuesday, February 3rd.
**In order to be able to see Characters/Costumes offered in your game, you will need to at least have unlocked District 3 as Al’s needs to be in your game to be able to get some of the Characters/Costumes put into play.*** (FYI, not all players will see the same Characters/Costumes offered as it will vary on what YOU have already and WHO you have unlocked in your game. If the Character is NOT unlocked/purchased, you won’t see the Costume in your list.)
Also… King Butt IS timed.

So for the basics…
WHY CAN’T I SEE ALL THE COSTUMES OFFERED?
As stated above, it will vary on WHO you have in YOUR game. So if you have a Character already, they will not show up to get again.
If you have NOT unlocked a Character, you will not see their Costume. For instance if you have not purchased Consuela, you will not see her Dia de los Muertos Consuela Costume. If you do not have Stewie unlocked in District 8, you will not see his Iron Baby Costume.
WHY IS GEORGE AND MR. WEED LOCKED?
New Characters will arrive for purchase/unlock during the Promo, so keep an eye out in your game for when George and Mr. Weed will be available. (We will also post to this site.)
Now for all the Characters/Costumes in the Mystery Box Volume 1…
Each try in the Mystery Box will cost 125 Clams and once that Character/Costume is won, it will be removed from the list and narrow your options down. Some items will go to your Inventory once won, so make sure you go place them. Others will be put into Al’s to “create” so make sure you check there too to complete them and place them onto the Characters. (Updated with the info we were able to verify in game.)
UPDATE: If you had started collection on one of these Characters/Costumes in Al’s but never completed it… you WILL see the breakdown back in Al’s… I am currently looking into this, but it looks like you still need to win them in the Mystery Box. Will post more once clarified.
UPDATE: Confirmed… ALL Characters from the Mystery Box will require you to purchase the Mystery Box in order to get them.

You will have that time to collect the following to unlock him for your game… (If you already have the Pyramid, I actually had the option to purchase a second one that controlled his collection…and NEITHER him or the timer will show outside the Pyramid in your game.)

Again, you will only have 7 days to collect all these items once the Sandy Pyramid is built. If you do not complete collection, you will NOT get King Butt. I am still waiting on TinyCo for verifcation due to NO timer in the game, Just the date, if this means 7 days from placement or 7 days regardless and it ends on February 3rd. I’m leaning towards 3rd. (See Below)
UPDATE: As you can see in the pic below… King Butt WILL say NOT READY as he is NOT READY to Create until you collected all his items. Once you are done getting them all, it will change so you can Create him. Also, you can see the end date and time on the pop up too. All this can be seen by tapping on the newly built Sandy Pyramid. The End Date is set for the End of the Event. So you will need to have acquired King Butt BEFORE February 3rd @3PM PST.
Bryan Cranston w/His Chair. From the Quahog ComicCon Event. 450 Clams (Will ALWAYS drop one of items needed for King Butt). Once you purchase and place his chair, you will see him pop up in front of it with the Unlock symbol. Just tap on it to make him active in your game. (Yes, his questline starts up too.)
New Year’s Eve Brian: 150 Clams. Brian in his suit is back again just in case you missed your chance on this Costume. This was a temp glitch.
NEW OLD BUILDINGS
Items from the Kingdom of Full Moon Event have also returned for purchase for your game. Here are the “buildings”.
Desert Oasis: $7,500, $30 & 20XP every 4hrs
Active Volcano: $5,500, $60 & 40XP every 12hrs

A question on unlocking King Butt. Do the six hour tasks to get Sonic Screwdriver by Stewie and Peter give you a better chance at getting it than their four hour tasks like I think it was for New Years Brian.

That is what I am assuming. The longer tasks tend to give a higher possibility of payouts.

I am so happy they are doing this, for me it just started today. I really wanted to get king butt and I sent about three messages to bring him back. I hope they bring back alien and Jesus as well.

Same but everyone’s on money earning atleast 1 day tasks so I’ll miss a day and a half on king butt which looks hard already but I shall persevere!!:)

Sorry Bunny but your comments under a post from aurorabrandi have me confused. I don’t want to start the timer for King Butt until I can get everyone assembled — I don’t want to fall short of him twice!!! His seven day timer starts once the building is placed no matter when it is placed so long as it is placed before the event ends on February 3 (which is what the top post says). If I place the building Friday, I will have seven days from then even though that runs past Feb 3. Do I have that correct?

ok. thanks. changes strategy a smidge but characters who are doing things already can’t be helped if the clock is ticking already. those epic drops are a bear so I was hoping to get everyone aligned before starting the timer. This is terrific of TinyCo to do. They don’t get enough credit when they are awesome like this.

TinyCo is awesome for doing this, but it proves that I have no life…. I already have everything except King Butt! Guess all that sleep deprivation paid off over the past year.
Now I can enjoy getting the King without any awful jello shots, lol

Since I started playing the quest for stuff recently (after Halloween) I am pretty excited have the opportunity to get some old items. I’ve been pretty jealous of the Stewie Sphinx in my friends Quahogs.
I was contemplating getting the mystery box, 125 doesn’t seem too steep to me for a shot a Patrick Stuart. I clicked it to look at the different things you could win but didn’t confirm a purchase. I did however buy the pyramid for a chance at unlocking King Butt. So here’s where it gets weird. I had to rearrange my town a bit and accidentally put a building in storage. When I opened my storage Diane Simmons was in storage! I placed her in my town and rechecked my clam count, exactly the same. I didnt purchase the mystery box for her, my clam count was exactly the same. Did she come with the pyramid or something? Is there a glitch that gave her to me because I looked at the options for the gift box?

Oh for **** sake!!!! Just make Cleveland NOT 400 freakin’ clams!!!! 300 would be sort of cool. 250 would be reasonable. 200 would be a nice gesture. Screw Consuela. Nuts to steroid Stewie. Make the basics easily obtainable, and therefore, **** forbid, fun. As in the pleasure meant to be taken from any GAME.

Yes and no. There is no way to buy the items directly, BUT if you have Bryan Cranston, he does have his 4 hour GUARANTEE item drop Pizza Throw task. It is 12 clams a pop I believe for the 4 hour task, but there ya go. Guaranteed King Butt if it comes to that. 🙂

Dunno if it was a glitch or not but I just found the ghost of Diane and Francois’ graves in my inventory. Placed them in my town and the unlock icon was above both their heads. Unlocked them with just one click ( nothing else required) and now they are working away in my town. Score !!!

This is awesome!! Exactly what I wanted. Thanks for listening tiny. i started during comic con and have gotten every character since so he’s been my one missing! Also I bought adventure Peter and iron baby Stewie and the box went away. Hoping for 80s Cleveland and Robo Joe in volume 2!!

Love this because I finally get a shot at King Butt again but the tasks set up to get the ghosts are ridiculous. The same tasks are being used to unlock Pawtucket Pat, so our chances of getting ghosts are even less! Worried that the ghosts may be my downfall.

Pawtucket Pat isn’t timed, though. I put all other tasks on hold while I unlock. Pat and his endless amount of tasks will be waiting when you’re finished with KB 😃

In my game the Screwdrivers to collect for King Butt says “Epic” and you have “Rare” on your post.
Is yours correct or mine??
Should I message TinyCo? I just thought I’d ask on here as my first port of call.
It’s always my first stop whenever I see an update to ensure I know what’s going on.

Wow this is really cool how tiny co has done this for everyone who started late or couldn’t earn everything before the event ended like king butt n George I have every character and skin already I only hope they bring back the spotlights and wacky inflatable arm tube men 🙂 that would b awesome to decorate my whole town with I would also like an option to buy 50 all at once and to store out automatically in my storage another cool option I would love to see tiny co add to the game in the future

Diane Simmions was in my inventory. I don’t recall her being in there before. Be sure to check and make sure that you don’t have any random characters sitting in your inventory waiting to be placed.

I only had 4 people in the mystery box because I had ALL the other characters. So excited that I won Patrick Stewart and started on King Butt. Also got Blobosa

Noticed that I could put the sandy pyramid back into the inventory after building it. Do you know if this will pause the timer?
Like can I leave it in my inventory until all the characters are free, and the. Re-trigger the timer when I replace it?

No. There are only 7 days for this event so it will not help to store it.

Just to verify, so the character itself isn’t timed (like say Diane or Barnaby/Finneus), but the actual event is? So no matter when you place the pyramid, it will end Feb. 3rd?

I’m confused. The TinyCo FAQ suggests that you have to tap on an icon to start the timer for King Butt, which would theoretically mean we’d have 7 days from whenever we place the pyramid. I wrote to TinyCo seeking an answer to that. I doubt I’ll hear back but I figured I’d try.

What a great promotion! I have everything listed for this Mystery Box except Adventure Peter, but I’m really excited at the possibility I might be able to get 80s Cleveland in volume 2! I’m thrilled to be able to get some of the Full Moon decos I’ve been coveting, too. Thanks ladies! (So glad I was able to stop my tap-happy finger so I could come here before buying King Butt in case he was timed.)

It’s still pretty expensive but if you have George Takei and Patrick Stewart you do get back 100 clams for completing the set, so it’s really more like 350 clams for Brian.

I bought the new sandy pyramid and placed it and it shows what I have to collect (when I click on it) but there is no timer and there is no king butt standing in front of it. Is there another way to trigger it? Or is there no countdown timer?

Thank goodness! King Butt is the only character in the game that I don’t have, I even have all of the premiums from the events… Now if they bring back Mutant Stewie, 80’s Cleveland and Pee Pants, my collection will be complete!
(Also could we get a Rollo Cop Joe for iOS?)

As stated before I’m pretty new to this game but on it frequently through the day. Currently working to unlock Bryan. I bought the pyramid and now facing all the items needed for king butt…looks rather difficult. Epic sonic screwdrivers and I only got 2 characters that can get them. Also some require skins I don’t have like adventure peter. Any advice will help. Thank you ladies.

Do not let the “tags” frighten you too much. It is amazing how some “epic” items behave more like uncommon. Just play along and see how it goes. If you have concerns… let them know please. 😉

Does the mystery box work the same as for the characters? I started playing just after the King Butt Event and I have unlocked all of the costumes shown in the picture except for the Indiana Jones Peter. Do we know a list of the characters and skins available from the mystery box?

Stoked! I have a lot of premium characters, and every single freemium to date… except one: King Butt! I wasn’t quite as tenacious of a tapper back then, but once the obsessive collector in me kicked in (especially after I pumped my first dollars into these pixels) it’s been bugging me that I don’t have him. Glad to have gotten a second chance at getting King Butt as I was just close of getting him when the Mummy event happen (Can someone please tell me the name of this event, feeling bad for constantly saying “Mummy event”, lol). I just hope it’s not the same as it was in the event where I had to get jello shots to get him. The only thing that worries me is that he’s timed, hopefully, unlike failing to get Barbra, Jasmine, Diane, and Francis, I shall hopefully be able to get King Butt before I run out of time.

Hi! First of all – could not be more thrilled. This is a great thing for them to do! I only hope the comic-con characters are all brought back at some point because I cannot tell you how much jealousy I have when I see them in a friends Qahog!
I have two questions – one, when I bought King Butts pyramid, it says “Ends Feb 3 at 3pm” does that mean I only have until then to unlock him? Or is that just how long I can buy the pyramid for?
Second – the “Best Of” mystery box. It sounds like I can get costumes as well as characters? Is there a list anywhere of what the box contains? I’d love to buy it to get Patrick Stewart, but might be kind of annoyed if I just got a costume instead.

I put this in the post, I had to place a NEW Pyramid in one of the test games to get it to trigger. So check your Menus for a new one to buy.

In my game, the Sandy Pyramid we were given behaves differently than the Sandy Pyramid you can buy for $1000 in the store. You need to buy the pyramid to unlock King Butt.

i was thinking the same thing! it bugs my OCD too. i have all of the peter skins & that task is the only 1 locked. i’m hoping they bring back some buildings too. if they bring back dead format records, i’m snatching it up in a second! if i’d known so many characters have tasks there i’d have gotten it origionally. i also wouldn’t mind being able to get lucky’s orphanage too so the task that santa has there will unlock! then as far as i know,i won’t have any characters with locked tasks! & i have every character (both premium & freemium) in the game so far!
