Remember that one time when you kept saying, “It would be great if TinyCo brought back…“? Well guess what TinyCo is doing? Once again, listening to YOUR requests. There will be some fun Characters coming back, and they all won’t be at once… so keep your eyes on your game over the next week as you will see lots of really cool Characters return and be available until Tuesday, February 3rd.
**In order to be able to see Characters/Costumes offered in your game, you will need to at least have unlocked District 3 as Al’s needs to be in your game to be able to get some of the Characters/Costumes put into play.*** (FYI, not all players will see the same Characters/Costumes offered as it will vary on what YOU have already and WHO you have unlocked in your game. If the Character is NOT unlocked/purchased, you won’t see the Costume in your list.)
Also… King Butt IS timed.

So for the basics…
WHY CAN’T I SEE ALL THE COSTUMES OFFERED?
As stated above, it will vary on WHO you have in YOUR game. So if you have a Character already, they will not show up to get again.
If you have NOT unlocked a Character, you will not see their Costume. For instance if you have not purchased Consuela, you will not see her Dia de los Muertos Consuela Costume. If you do not have Stewie unlocked in District 8, you will not see his Iron Baby Costume.
WHY IS GEORGE AND MR. WEED LOCKED?
New Characters will arrive for purchase/unlock during the Promo, so keep an eye out in your game for when George and Mr. Weed will be available. (We will also post to this site.)
Now for all the Characters/Costumes in the Mystery Box Volume 1…
Each try in the Mystery Box will cost 125 Clams and once that Character/Costume is won, it will be removed from the list and narrow your options down. Some items will go to your Inventory once won, so make sure you go place them. Others will be put into Al’s to “create” so make sure you check there too to complete them and place them onto the Characters. (Updated with the info we were able to verify in game.)
UPDATE: If you had started collection on one of these Characters/Costumes in Al’s but never completed it… you WILL see the breakdown back in Al’s… I am currently looking into this, but it looks like you still need to win them in the Mystery Box. Will post more once clarified.
UPDATE: Confirmed… ALL Characters from the Mystery Box will require you to purchase the Mystery Box in order to get them.

Again, you will only have 7 days to collect all these items once the Sandy Pyramid is built. If you do not complete collection, you will NOT get King Butt. I am still waiting on TinyCo for verifcation due to NO timer in the game, Just the date, if this means 7 days from placement or 7 days regardless and it ends on February 3rd. I’m leaning towards 3rd. (See Below)
UPDATE: As you can see in the pic below… King Butt WILL say NOT READY as he is NOT READY to Create until you collected all his items. Once you are done getting them all, it will change so you can Create him. Also, you can see the end date and time on the pop up too. All this can be seen by tapping on the newly built Sandy Pyramid. The End Date is set for the End of the Event. So you will need to have acquired King Butt BEFORE February 3rd @3PM PST.
Bryan Cranston w/His Chair. From the Quahog ComicCon Event. 450 Clams (Will ALWAYS drop one of items needed for King Butt). Once you purchase and place his chair, you will see him pop up in front of it with the Unlock symbol. Just tap on it to make him active in your game. (Yes, his questline starts up too.)
New Year’s Eve Brian: 150 Clams. Brian in his suit is back again just in case you missed your chance on this Costume. This was a temp glitch.

Not sure how I feel about this. I put a lot of time and effort (+ some clams to speed up tasks) to get timed characters like Diane, now you can just get her for 125 clams? Seems kind of like I have been duped.

I started to play the game around the kool aid guy.
So i missed all what was before. I was very sad when i heared about the comic con event. And all the characters i missed.
And when i saw this update this morning…
First thing what i done was to buy some clams and to buy the box til i got patrick stewart. Such great phrases! Also he was expensive (got before costumes for consuela, stewie and chris, only one missing is Peters indiana jones outfit. All the other characters i got from the events).
Now only George Takei is missing. (To be true all comic con characters are cool and i fear i will buy a lot more clams before this here is over.)
But the comic con event costumes are way to overated. not worth their clams. Only 2-3 tasks, not going to contribute to king butt…
I don’t know if they got more during the event and are now removed because that were only tasks to gather event items, but i don’t think so (will going to read in the archive here.)

Hey! Does anybody know for the sonic screwdriver if it’s a higher drop rate to have peter and quagmire take a nap together as a 6 hour task versus having peter fly under the influence for 4 hours? Same with Stewie testing his armor versus showing Rupert new tentacles? Thanks!

But Captain Hammered is a limited costume, whereas the Nap can be done with normal Peter and Q. Surely their intention is to reward the players who have already unlocked more outfits (and this more likely to have spent clams) isn’t it? I mean, that’s why Bryan Cranston can drop any of the items Butt needs right?
this is an interesting event, I have everything except butt, Jason, and Nathan(didn’t reallu want them), but I’ll give Butt one more try if its free!

Seems to be the opposit of their normal goal of instilling panic clam-spending. Ar least they didn’t put Bryan in the gumball machine, his cost and limited usefulness was already a bitter pill…

If you already have the old pyramid without King Butt, and you get the new one… Trying to clarify, does the ‘timestamp’ inside, reflect the time you place the pyramid, or the time you click the check mark, or the time left? I, like many others, am holding off on getting a new pyramid, until more of my characters are free. I just want to be sure I understand it correctly. Also, how long does it take for the pyramid to build? Thanks ladies. 🙂

The time is set for Feb 3rd 3PM PST as tagged when you tap the Newly placed Pyramid. There is no timer as it ends when event does.

Hi I’m back on lil so surprisingly the sonic screwdrivers aren’t a problem I already got 2. However I only have 2 that can work on getting anks n they have been nonstop since yesterday n I’ve only got 1 ankh…think I’m gonna give up on king but if we only get a week. Its a waste of time. I’m on all day and night considering I’ve got a newborn to take care of. I really like this game. But they really should give more time or need less anks. But that’s just my opinion. I plan to buy clams soon tho cuz I want George takei.

Pretty weird issue I’m having, I was curious if anyone else is having it as well, or a possible fix on my end.
I just received Patrick Stewart via Mystery Box Vol 1. I place the Clamterprise, and hit the “unlock” icon. Congrats, Clamtastic, and all that. I choose his “thespian” gig for a chance to drop a sonic screwdriver and off we go. The issue is, when i log out (fully), I log back in the find him standing back at the Clamterprise with the unlock icon again. So basically, he keeps resetting like I haven’t unlocked him yet. If I have him open and put Clamterprise in inventory, log out then back in, he disappears until i put it back down. Any thoughts?

It was doing that to me too. Try to put Clampterprise in Inventory, then back out and see if it helps to unlock him and keep him unlocked.

I’ve tried that and a few other things, but no joy. 😦 I got a reply from TinyCo, and they said it was a known issue and they were working on the problem. If I miss King Butt because of sonic screwdrivers, I might have to have a little talk with them. Patrick will be my 4th character working on them.

It looks impossible for me to get king butt. I was missing just a little bit of golden butts during event so I was happy that I could get him now. But I need 5 sonic screwdrivers that are epic to get. How am I supposed to get them in 7 days?

Impossible time frame to get King Butt’s 400 Ankh’s with only these two options. It can be done if you add Bryan or one of the other skins.

So upon placing free Diane, I got the pop up for the 50 clams ( previously had Francis and mr weed from Halloween ) but they didn’t get added. Not that I’m complaining, but was wondering if the clams we’re going trough for anyone else? It’d be a nice perk 😉

Try to force close your app and check again. They add right to the total up top. You won’t see a pop out image of a Clam or anything. If not, try restarting your device and look again. The game is delayed on syncing the new Clams at times

Had the same thing happen to me….Diane showed up, placed her, showed collection complete for 50 clams….didn’t get any clams…forced closed, rebooted, still no free clams….oh well!

I got all excited this morning seeing a red ! In the trollie box only to not find anything new on looking. After reading on here about old new stuff I found it bitter/sweet to see I actually had all the costumes and characters and hadn’t missed anything! I’m sure I’ll find something to get but it now means for some of us who may be a little “skint” that all is not lost in collecting those wee stained clowns we may have missed or that farting box thing….which come to think of it I may not have! Lol

While I am glad that people without these characters get a chance to now get them, I am just a little annoyed that Patrick Stewart comes with the Clamterprise. I spent a lot of clams at 75 each try in the Brian Mystery Box to win this rare prize and now it it included for free with Patrick…
Again, nothing against giving everyone a chance for these prizes, but it discourages me from spending clams on future events that incorporate a chance element. I guess I just will need to include the chance that not spending clams during a current event can have a payoff in waiting and maybe getting the item during a good deal later.

Basically fast forwarding characters, let item drop and dont tap game… you will see an option to “try again” to try the task again or “Buy item” to outright Clam purchase that one item.
The “Try Again” feature is useful if the item drops more often as you can try again and tap it again and again and again buying that Material til you have them all.

The only limited time premium characters that I’m currently missing are King Butt, Bryan Cranston, Alien, Predator, and Jason. I am so very, very tempted to buy Bryan in the hopes of getting King Butt, but I JUST purchased Rupert. Do I want to drop another $10+ for Bryan? Considering I just finished Breaking Bad, it’s highly tempting… For those that did get him last time, does he have fun outdoor tasks and good voice quotes? I love having Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, George Takei, and Patrick Stewart in my town, but I’m trying to be good with clams.

The only bad thing about him was his super high cost and the fact that they gave his purpose in the event over to Nathan Fillion (who cost half as much) after just a week.

I got Francis and Diane for free in my inventory.. Just randomly saw 2 graves there and got them unlocked when i placed them.. Didn’t hear anyone else about this.. check your entire invent and tell me if you all got it too????????? Or it might be a glitch?

Wow!, If I was one of those people that got king bu during that event I’d be piss off right now. It was HARD to get him and the only way was to spend a ton of clams. I did but was far from getting him so I gave up but the ones that did mus spent a fortune. And now u can get him for free? Me, I love it cuz now I have something more to do in my games so it’s awesome but it’s totally unfair for the one that did. Also, I don’t have the mystery box. I don’t have all the skins so I don’t know y I don’t see it. Any idea girls?

I believe he means that the King Butt items drop from some of the same actions as the brewery items, so it’ll be harder to get the ones you specifically need.

You know what really grinds my gears? When you purchase premium characters and they don’t go as planned. I just had to get Bryan Cranston to help with unlocking King Butt. Not all his tasks are dropping necessary stuff. Also I thought, what luck, I won Patrick Stewart! He can complete his 1 min task and I can send him on longer tasks but I’m forced to use clams to speed them up because every time I log back into the game he’s toggled with the Clamterprise again and needs “unlocked”. He retains his XP, however. Anyone else have similar experience with either character? Funny thing is I also got Diane and she’s just fine. My problem must affect the living….

Not ready means that it’s not ready to unlock. Try tapping an item to see who can collect it. That should bring up a list of tasks for that item.

I have Blobulous in Al Harrington’s right now. I have collected all the gingerbread men, the cupcakes, and the hams but only one ice cream sundae. When I click the ice cream sundae to see how to collect them it says “You haven’t unlocked this yet. Keep finishing quests to find it soon!” So my question is…..how do I get sundaes?

I went from having no costumes for Stewie to “take my money TinyCo” in 48 hrs 🙂 Of course, they had me with the other Stewart as well, you know Jean Luc. They have turned me into a premium player.
Have I mentioned how happy I am I got Partick Stewart (and I am not even a Trekkie). Love him on AD. Plus he is just a cool cat. Oh yeah, I did mention it. Sorry, I’ll chill out now. Teeheeheehee I got Patrick Stewart. Ok I’m done. 😉
Seriously though, this has to be my favorite event since I have been playing. I started during the Halloween event so I missed out on all the stuff prior. I would like to get King Butt but I really want George Tekai (seriously I am not a Trekkie). Love it. This is great for both newer players and older players alike. I had already earned most of the characters/skins they are offering in the mystery box, except Dias De Los Muertos Consuela. And I wished I had got her during the Halloween event. Now I know I can get her with just one mystery box purchase.
This game can be very tempting for me. Admittedly, I spend more money on FGQFS, than I would normally spend on games but fortunately, I’m able to keep my spending in check. I budget myself to a small amt of money each month specifically for it lol. I play mainly as a freemium player but obviously, I invest some money into it. I consider it part of my entertainment budget. And for the enjoyment and after-work stress relief, I personally get out of the game, it’s worth it.

I’m currently having mixed feelings about this.
Up until Halloween I was a freemium player. I had to finally bite the bullet and spend to get the extra characters for my sanity.
Since then i have managed to get every costume and character without spending clams unless it was the only way to get them. Some will call it dedicated but I’m going with crazy.
Now that said the only thing I have missed is King Butt. Mainly through not enough hard work and not maximising on the event glithes.
I was hoping at some point they would give us a second shot at him. MAY THE GAME GODS BE PRAISED!!! Also I love that they are utilising all the characters and costumes I worked so hard for. Like seriously no idea. I think most players struggled with this event and many will be in my boat.
My concern comes with how many will be re-released to all the new players? I’d hate to see all my hard work and others be undermined for some sudden cash/ clam grab. Some players spent big money at times to get some of these characters n costumes. I feel to release a few would be fine. I’m already annoyed that a relatively small purchase gets you Patrick and the clamterprise. I earned patrick but in no way could justify that deco. Wanted it. Yearned for it. But couldn’t and I’m sure many players are the same on this too.

Lol I started to ramble too but cut myself short. I could have went on and on. 🙂 I definitely see your points and very much understand your mixed feelings. I guess I also look at it as they have to find a way to appease as many players as possible. It’s probably difficult to do this without annoying or frustrating some of us. If I were new to the game, or missed an event, I would love a way to obtain characters/items that were previously available. I also feel though, that the players that worked there butts off during an event and/or paid for premium items, should have and keep the advantage they either earned or paid for. I don’t know for sure, but I will assume that TinyCo constantly works on how to balance out these types of concerns. I am pretty sure they are still trying to work it out. What I love most is that they are open to change, and a result of our experience and feedback, they often do. So I just look forward to seeing what’s next to develop…

Do you think these prices are fair for both characters and skins based on what we paid previously or had to do to earn them. I know some of the skins cost 300+ if you wanted to buy them outright. I think Brian was 400 before making him the most expensive character to date.

It is one of those things where how do you weigh time in Clams? Some of these I got REALLY easy and did not spend a single Clam. I think the rate drops on King are fair due to how hard he was to unlock. I think the balance is pretty even when compared. Most Costumes now or Characters are between 100-200. Con ones being most expensive and still is for Bryan. He was 500 Clams but helped A LOT in the the event. He earned me a LOT of items. Now, he helps but for King… so I can see the drop in his original cost to balance his use. He is still the most expensive.

The only one I missed out on as opposed to not purchasing was Peter’s clown skin (Mr Peepants??). Would be great if that one came back for a chance. I think it did come back once for clams though but may be wrong.

Fellow minions I’m totally confused. I’m working on the king, so hopefully this time around I will get him. I would like Consuela, so if I buy a box and win her, is she also timed like the king? I’m assuming her costume would go into Als and I collect items, if anyone has won her outfit from this run of fun, could you post the details please. Thanks

If you win it from the box you’ll automatically get it, no items to collect or timer associated with it. You’ll just need to purchase before the event ends.

Purchased ones are pretty instant. They go right to inventory or Al’s. She will most likely go to Al’s so all you have to do is tap on it and “Create” it.

Francis didnt drop from the mystery box even tho I dont have him, and now the mystery box has dissapeared :s

Check your inventory. Many are reporting they got him for free in their inventory.

Hmmmm… I would say work on the hardest ones first… then the more commons if you have to pick, and just send them round the clock to drop the items. See what kind of results you get on the drops. It varies per player and game so it can be difficult to gauge exacts.

While I think it’s awesome they are bringing stuff back, it irks me that a chance for one is 125 clams.. I know I’m not the only broke biotch thay plays this game.. there should also be a chance for a spin with coins.. sigh.. I know the world doesn’t revolve around me.. but what I’m working now is why not? 😜😆
