I have only one building covered every 2 hrs , and that’s it. I’m at 27 piñada , doing the maths. It doesn’t work. It’s impossible to get soap opera Peter without buying myself clams

A little frustrated with this one… blindfolds not dropping initially, now it’s pinatas not dropping.
Not much time left and this is my current status. Any idea if it’ll be extended?! I’m not good at math, but given that I cannot log in so often, I doubt I can complete this one.

I feel like a good solution to the candy problem would be to change the 50 piñata smash quest to reward 25 candies or so at the end. This way the action that you can do consistently (smashing piñatas) would reward you by (in most cases I imagine) filling out the rest of your candy needs.

Yep. This is the only one I didn’t buy any premium building or anything and I am only at 26 candies. I have only one day left and only have half the amount needed. They should not be rare with such a number needed. I have plenty of blindfolds but the piñatas are not spawning very often nor are there more than 2 at any given time.
This will be the first character/skin I didn’t get. Slightly disappointed but at least it didn’t use characters that were also dropping plutonium.
Oh well. I’d have rather had this Peter than Handsome Peter. Or even Gold Peter. Could care less about the Gold one.
Well, I hope the Star Trek one is better orchestrated. And we get some more land to put it all. The time travel stuff, Olivia’s stuff and Latino stuff have taken up all the newest space we just got. Figures.
I get so tired of having to rearrange my town just to fit some new building that i don’t want but need for tasks. I wish they’d just open up land as we want it as well. But that’s a Tapped Out thing and I guess TC won’t want to copy everything they have done.

I refuse to “escalate”. I’m taking the stairs. I’m confident that the midnight oil is being burned heavily at TinyCo. I’ve personally never been let down nor disappointed by TinyCo. I’ve always had great support and correspondence with them. I also will add that I have not completed this particular event, but I have not lost faith in the Tiny team. They are human and not machines, and both are prone to error. Things will work out in the end. I’m sure not everyone will appreciate my optimism, but I wanted to spread a little positivity to this thread before it unravels.
Side Note- I nearly jumped out of my seat and paused and re winded several times when I saw last night’s commercial during the Family Guy episode. It was very exciting to say the least. Go ahead and scold me for putting that here Bunny, I’m in the mood to break some rules lol jk. Now comes the finger shaking followed by “Not really the place for this” and a bunch of Blue hyperlink text. (Just giving you a hard time 😉 ) Can we just increase to Warp 9 already, I’m ready to Engage!

Unless they make a major change I will not be close to getting him. I am only at 17 pinatas. About 2 out of every 3 do drop candy. Thinking of taking a break from the game honestly. The only thing stopping me is the money I already put into it would go to waste.

I’ve completed the event. The blindfold options were removed from the characters who generated them and the counter was gone. Now the counter is back, I have buildings locked by pinatas again, and have no blindfold to use to clear them. VERY frustrating and annoying. Crummy event overall. All I can say is they better be gone when the event truly ends. Lame tinyco… Lame…

I’ve been playing since comic-con and this is definitely the worst event since then as its impossible for mostly freemium players. I’ve been playing constantly since it started yet I still only have 27 candies, 10 hats, and 11 mustaches. There is just no mathematical way even with a 100% drop rate that I’ll even come close to getting Spanish Soap Peter due to the hats and the candies / pinatas. I’ve currently got 7 blindfolds with probably another 5 coming in about 20 minutes and no pinatas to smash. I don’t even think I’ll get him down to under 25 clams to make it worth buying him to get complete the costume collection and I’m certainly not going to waste clams if he costs more since I know I’d rather use them on Star Trek stuff.

Last 4 smashed pinatas yeilded 0 candies. I have gotten one candy all day today. And i have been logging in every hour.

wow that’s kinda weird because for me the candy is dropping WAY MORE than that!..
seems to my game that candy does NOT drop after 3 or 4 times and NEVER does it in a straight row!!

Yeah, me too. 4/5 gave a no drop. Send Tiny a message, but no reply. They couldn’t care less I guess. Even with 100% drop, there won’t be enough pinatas spawning anymore anyways. Lame event in what should’ve been an easy buildup week for ST. I love FG and ST, but I don’t think I’ll be playing it, feels more and more as a waste of time…

Forgot to mention too that I can’t help wondering if how hard it is to get the blindfolds is TinyCo’s response to some people wanting the events to be harder.

Sounds like I’m not the only one with no pinatas and a surprising surplus of blindfolds. Not sure I’ll be able to make it in time either.

I just started playing last week. Thought i was progressing well until this event started. Peter has been stuck in the Griffin home the entire time. How do you get bats when I have no clams?

He is stuck? As in the Pinata on top and he can’t get out? Even with them moving every 8hrs?
As for the sticks, you don’t get a stick/bat… you get Blindfolds and use the stick to remove pinatas. Does that help?

I’m also bothered by the drop rate for candy. I’ve never had more than 3 piñatas in my town but I still need 22 candies with 44 hours (22 piñatas) so if any don’t drop I’m screwed.
But I have a problem and need some help. I tried sending TinyCo an in game message 3-4 weeks ago but it didn’t go through. Now my in game messages don’t go through at all – they are all stuck. Any ideas of how to fix this?

Hmmmm odd one there. I never had one NOT send. Maybe try the usual troubleshooting steps and if that does not work, try their email instead.

Been playing since close to the beginning and I feel for the first time that this event to get a new skin is either poorly executed or a $$ grab experiment. I can play often and so have always been able to get the new character skins but this one with SSO peter doesn’t feel like it has a chance. I logged in every 2hrs today and got 2 freakin candies in 12 hrs. Whatever TinyCo. I’ve supported you in the past but won’t buy into this.

I have gotten a candy just about every time I’ve smashed a pinata today, I’ve went from about 12 candies to 22 in one day, yet, I was struggling to get 5 on the first day. Drop rates seem to be whacky

This has been the first truly cruddy event since the PeePants one. I’ve been right on top of the game since the start of the event and only have 22 candies. (Seriously, those piñatas should have an “always” droprate.)
I do hope they extend it a little or incorporate a quick fix into the game. (Unless this is simply supposed to be a hard one to obtain.) All of the recent events prior to this one have been more than fair. This is the first time I’ve felt frustrated with the game in a while.
If I can get him below 25 clams, then I’ll just buy him, that’s kinda free. Haha! Or lose him, and end the madness that is my obsession of having every character and costume. Gonna be loading up some clams for the Star Trek event anyway.

I join with all those complaining about the spawn rate. I have been on every four hours….minus sleeping, and have nowhere near the candies required. But i have blindfolds coming out the wazoo. Seems like they really screwed this event up start to finish.

If TinyCo reads these posts, then why no responses from them, to all the numerous comments about the spawn rates vs the end of the event? No candies last two piñatas, and time is ticking down. Have all my hats and stashes. How about trading blindfolds for candies. At least we could stand a chance of getting SSOP

Just because they do not come to our site to respond, does not mean they aren’t listening. This is OUR site, not theirs. So they usually ask permission by us before approaching OUR readers. 😉
That being said, they are watching and communicating in other ways. I am still waiting to see how this all plays out. Not over til Wednesday, they may still have something up their sleeves on it in the works. 😉

I’m with anharned, as slow as it has been to get the candies, I will likely have to cough up some clams on Wednesday. Not willing to miss the 25 clams earned for completing the set.

Bummer…need 30 candies and only have 45 hours left in the event. No way to unlock SSO Peter. I have been able to smash all piñatas since event began, so that means there was no way for me to get him from the get go without clams.

Was TinyCo’s strategy to alienate the majority of its playing base just prior to a main event? An event that is promoted on national TV during the show? I finished the cowboy hats this morning and the mustaches this afternoon (without a single clam), so I can’t be accused of not playing. But too many empty piñatas of the 60 coming my way will leave me short. Please don’t preach about TinyCo listening to the players and working in their best interest. I have waited for an entire business day to go by before posting this to give them a chance to make a change, but their silence speaks volumes. Buckle in addicts and get ready to open the wallet. Can’t wait to see what challenges AREN’T able to be completed ahead of us in the event.

That is why I will not spend clams to unlock Spanish Peter.
If we all spend clams, we will only encourage them, by proving to them that their policy of “nearly achievable prizes” works. We’re all complaining, but most of us will spend the clams. They get the money, why should they change anything?

I think drop rates may have increased. Either that or I’m having a lucky day. I’ve had candy drop every single time for me starting today only. Currently need only 15 more with 22 attempts. Starting to look a little better.

I am experiencing an 85% drop rate on the candy, so mathematically it is going to come right down to the wire for me based on the number I have now.

I am not usually one to complain about events and their timing, and have usually been able to get everything I have wanted. The only one I have failed at was the circus one to get Pee Pants, but that was like my second week playing, so probably not too surprising. That said, the timing of this one does seem off, especially given the weirdness of the piñata spawning the other day.
As it stands now, I have gotten all of the hats and am missing one mustache. I still need 23 or so candies though. As it stands I am seriously doubting if I will even be able to get to the 50 piñatas required for the quest line, much less the 55 candies needed for the skin.
The one bright spot is that getting this skin will complete one of the skin groups and get me 25 clams. As long as I can whittle the cost down to below 25 clams (I am at 97 clams now), I may pull the trigger on wednesday and still come out on top.

Yeah i gabe up on this event. Took me 5-6 days to get 26 candies. And im always playing. Either the blindfolds wouldnt drop and then once they did no pinata. There is no way ill get29 more in less than 2 days

Dear Tiny Co,
I am a Clam Buyer and a TQFS fan. But seriously, what the hell? Having ONE Piñata spawn every two hours, and a 90% chance of getting the candy means ONE thing: you calculated this in order for most of us to SPEND CLAMS at the end of the event, to unlock Spanish Peter.
Now, if I had been careless in my playing, if I hadn’t been capable of playing regularly, that would have been my problem and I would SPEND THE NECESSARY CLAMS to catch up.
But when I know you actually did the math, and expect people to spend their clams, BEFORE A BIG EVENT like Star Trek, I say, well Good Bye Spanish Peter.
I won’t cry if I don’t get him. I refuse to play in this manipulation.
Your fans dedicate time and money to your game. You should treat them fairly.

Dear Alissa and Bunny, thank you for Your great work, without you it would be very difficult to finish an event. 🙂 Unfortunately its impossible to get SSO Peter without clams. pinatas are not coming after 2 hours: now I had only 1 in 5 hours. I sent an ingame message to TC about this 2 days ago, still no answer. But I think you know that, because if you read all comments, you see that everyone is complaining. TC should change pinatas spawn rate…

Same here vzs. I sent a an in game message when i first realised. And got a response. This is and i quote what they said
“One piñata will respawn every 2 hours with a max of 5 piñatas in your town at once. They will change buildings every 8 hours.
If you purchase the Piñata decoration from the shop, it will spawn more Piñatas in your town!

I thought it was just me. I check the game at work when I’m not suppose to be on my phone or iPad and still no piñatas. Very slow going with the candy and cowboy hats. I have 17 blindfolds right now and nothing to hit. I just checked my game three minutes ago after a four hour wait: two piñatas!!! Something is wrong here.

The UK is PDT+7 so it will end at 10PM, when our clocks change in a couple of weeks it will go back to PDT+8.

…haven’t used clams at all either so I’m pretty confident I’ll get this “seemingly-impossible” skin unlocked!! 😉

Same for me, other items completely doable but piñatas don’t spawn often enough. I have 5 bandanas just sat waiting that I have stopped putting all characters to get them. Tinyco either need to extend the event or increase the rate they spawn. Disappointing 😔

Only 28 candies so far for me and I’ve not missed a single pinata – ie I’ve not left the game long enough to spawn 5 so I can’t possibly have had too many piñatas to block any more from coming. Getting 40 would just about be doable if TinyCo do decide to change the amount to get.

I just want to add that is iimpossible for me to get all the candies and ive been smashing as often as i can. Ill wait to purchase it until i run out of time but wont purchase if i have to buy more clams. Really dont think its fair that more cpeople cant just earn this costume.

My son had boughten on two different cards $29.98 on a debit card and a credit card. NO ONE HAS YET TO ANSWER ME!!! I’M SO MAD!! I’ve been playing for I’ve a year now!! He took pictures of the cards and then used them himself!! He found my passwords. He’s a disabled child!! THIS ISN’T RIGHT!! I’ve been trying to get help for 3-4 days now?? Nothing!! HOW UNFAIR IS THIS?? I spend good money with these people!! I WOULD LIKE MY MONEY BACK PLEASE!!!

I am sorry that happened to you. He spent them on the Family Guy Game? If that is the case, give them time to get back to you as they just got in the office this morning and will have to go through emails.
If it was not through TinyCo game or if you are concerned to get the money right back… submit a ticket right away to your Google or iTunes or Amazon Market (whatever one that was used for the unauthorized purchase) and they usually have an easier time of tracing the money and helping with a refund as the transaction went through them, not the game house.

Why are drop rates different for everyone? I feel this is a doable event for me, but others are having a harder time. Everyone likes a challenge, but one they feel is within their grasp.

If you didn’t start smashing piñata Friday this is impossible to complete. With a rate of a piñata ever 2hrs that’s 12 a day Saturday-Tuesday for a total of 48 piñatas and 7 on Wednesday for a total of 55 chances for candy. And if you got time in on Friday (I think It started Thursday night, but I didn’t get it till Friday, but didn’t know to look Thursday) you could have over 67 chances. And those that did start Friday might not make it either, with it being a common drop, there is a chance they won’t drop candy every time.
I started Friday and currently have only 24 candies. With Star Trek dropping this week, my clams I have left are reserved for that.

Even if the drop rate was always it would’ve been cutting it close to get enough candies unless you were on constantly. First event I’ve been pretty annoyed with.

Thats only if blindfolds dropped everytime and if the pinatas always spawned. The first few days for me wheni had everyone on the blindfolds it was about a 40% drop rate for me. I started playing since thursday as soon as it was released but i wont make it either. Only 26 candies. Im saving my clams as well bye telanovela peter.😔

I’m over half way to Soap Opera Peter. I get candies over half the time (common item). Right now I stand at 25/55 candies, 13/20 hats & 13/16 mustaches. My piñatas don’t spawn like they should but I get candies almoat everytime so no biggie. I like that this is a challenge but it feels doable. I used to have horrible drop rates taking 2 days to get 1 rare item or chance drop items. I have one question though. If I get SO Peter will I be able to finish his quest line after the 18th?

I enjoy playing this game, but I wouldnt pay money for it. At least no more than $5. I have to agree that it seems impossible to unlock peter’s outfit for free. I got started on it as soon as i possibly could, and I should easily be able to get all the materials needed in time. However, the rate at which the piñatas are placed is far too slow for me to get all the candies required, even if the drop rate is 100%, which has been the case for me so far.
They offer blindfolds for clams even though you cant do anything with them. For every 5 blindfolds I collect, I can only wack 2 or 3 piñatas. I feel bad for people who spend money on this game, its not worth it.
On a side note, people who pay money should get like 5 times the amount of land. That or Tinyco should give a real, straight answer regarding the lack of land besides saying ‘be happy with what you have.’

I’m in the same boat. Almost a year now and I’ve spent only $5. And that was only because I’m a KISS fan and took the obvious bait. And by that I mean getting Peter and Ace for free. So I went ahead and bought Gene and Paul. But as much as I love the game and love Family Guy, I’m not going to let it nickel and dime me. I realize every company needs to make a profit to run, but obvious money grab is obvious. You either walk around with your phone stuck to your hand 24/7, or you pay.

same problem as everyone: even as a really regular player (near lvl 60, near 1mio $, all possible chars working on the costume…) I will not get enough candies before the 18th – makes me kind of sad: the Soap Opera Peter looks cool to me 😦

I’ve managed to get all the mustaches and about half the hats. Sitting at about half the candies now. I missed the advice about waiting and busted a few before the next counter started. I’m in the same boat as many, I have extra bandanas and no pinatas to smash. sitting about 26/50 now…

28/50 smashed, 32/50 Candies. Going to be tight. The spawn rate on pinatas sucks. 12/20 hats. Wish I had Consuela… Not enough clams at the moment and I’m trying to save what I do have and hold off any purchasing until the Star Trek event which I know is going to cost me…
