To do away missions you’ll need Transporter Energy (
) and then you’ll be able to send various characters away on the mission (yes, the character will be tied up for the amount of time the mission takes.) You can send multiple characters, different characters/combos will earn you different items.
To Wai Iota IV you can send Geordi, Starfleet Peter, Klingon Chris, Deanna & Worf on Missions
To Oh’Nos you can send Geordi, Ferengi Mort, Riker, Klingon Chris & Worf on missions.
To Kronos you can send Ferengi Mort, Riker, Klingon Chris, & Worf on missions.
If you still have Tribbles on the Enterprise and you let them wonder into Ten Forward, if you tap on them in Ten Forward they’ll super multiply and you’ll get a ton of Tribbles to tap on.
FYI, TinyCo warned that they would STOP Tribble production later this week. Well, it is later this week. So for those of you that did not invest in the Tribble Room on the Enterprise, you will no longer see the furry creatures running around as often. The spawn rates have diminished and may still disappear completely. So grab them when you can.
Clam Offer
There is a bonus offer for Dilithium when you buy $9.99 worth of clams (or more. As long as it’s $9.99 and up you’ll be good)
For friends outside of the US this is a Bin of Clams or more (275 Clams)
And that my friends completes the basic rundown for Phase 2 of Star Trek!
What are your thoughts on Phase 2? Thoughts about the characters released this time around? Will you be purchasing Worf? Thoughts on the new rooms? How about Transporting to other planets? Sound off in the comments below you know we love hearing from you!

Hmm…with the only way to get Chocolate Bars for Troi being to use transporter energy and go to Oh’Nos…how does TC expect anyone to unlock her without clams?

It’s doable, it’ll just take a while….it’s not an instant satisfaction event. It’s going to take some time to achieve goals in this one. So it’s completely doable, you just need patience. If you don’t have patience…then yes, that’s what clams are for.

I got the 3000 dilithium crystals in my B game without forking out money for clams. It was weird. Still peeved about the ridiculous drop rate for the synthesizer ore, and even more so at TinyCo’s response. Two games, one ore (total, not in each game) after a week of drinking. This does seem like a push to buy clams.

Worf feels really expensive, doesn’t he? Too bad he’s not, say, 200 clams instead of 260. I also don’t like that he’s on a timer, especially because he feels like a very essential part of Star Trek: TNG.
I’m betting that Wesley will also be a premium character, and so too might be a Starfleet uniform for Loculus/Patrick Stewart (?).

I agree with everyone who is saying that its looking more and more like they want us to spend actual money on this game, not happening! I’ll quit before doing that.. I find one task to be rediculous, possibly the one they need to do something about…12 away missions with the 6 transporter energy each. I barely have 4, and thats with having the 2 rooms for it, and sending peter(I think? Having a hard time keeping track of who does what…) on his quest 4 or 5 times already. Hope they reduce the numbers for one or the other, or at least make the transporter energy a tad easier to get… Just a thought.
Thanks for all your hard work, Bunny and Alissa!

Not 12, 3. Look at the payout it says 4 chocolate bars.
LikeLike
Okay, maybe I didn’t completely read everything right when looking at that, but still need 12 chocolate bars, being that the 4 you might get is “unlikely” for each time, and it does take 6 transporter energy each time…. I doubt in 3 trips you’d get all 12. Unless “unlikely” means “common”……. either way, my main issue is transporter energy. Being its early with phase 2, it is possible to get it, but how I was understanding it, it just seemed insane. I guess I should read the update instead of just looking at stuff on the enterprise. 🙂
LikeLike
“Look at the payout” it says a “chance” of 4 chocolate bars.
After reading the very post I am commenting on, here is one thing that ‘s a fact.
There’s only 3 ways to get Transporter Energy:
1 – Rec Room- 425 Dilithium, “Occasionally” drops Transporter Energy
2 – Red Shirt Doom Room- 125 Clams. “Always” drops Transporter Energy
3 – Starfleet Research Facility- 100 Clams. “Always” Drops Transporter Energy.
If this isn’t the perfect example of “money hungry”, I don’t know what is. I’m all for Clam purchases having their benefits, but clearly if your a freemium or occasional spender, your not gonna get anywhere as it’s currently one of the the most important items needed. On the flip side, Premium doesn’t always have it’s benefits either. Worf is a Premium Character and once past collecting Klingon Dictionaries for Klingon Chris, he’s useless. Same as with all the other Premium Characters.

4 weeks left, that’s enough time to collect “occasionally” enough transporter energy *yawn* relax, there’s no need to pay for anything
LikeLike
It would only be 3 trips if the chocolate dropped every time, and unfortunately, it doesn’t, so you most likely, based on past experience, need around 8 trips. Same thing with Chris, while it drops 5 dictionaries when it does, it doesn’t each time, so while you theoretically only need 5 trips, you most likely need quite a few more.
(although if you are having the same luck getting transportation energy from Chris and the rec room as I am, the point is moot, as you will never have enough for any trips! *chuckle*)

If you look at the away missions there is a chance to get 4 chocolate bars, same goes for dictionaries where you get 5 of them! Keep calm

Maybe this has been mentioned before, maybe not. But every time you build a Super Rad Cargo Bay (or any of the other energy dropping rooms) they always drop that piece of energy when completed.
So I built two of the Crew Quarters (2hr Build and drops life support energy) and then, when they are done, two Super Rad Cargo Bays (10 hour build) to replace them. Once the cargo bays are built and drop energy, I instantly replaced them with Crew Quarters again. Get the energy from them after two hours, and replace THEM with the Super Rad Cargo Bays. Then repeat.
Obviously the cargo bays take longer to build at ten hours, plus two hours for the Crew Quarters build to replace them, but you are GUARANTEED green energy every time. Whereas when I just let the 6 hour timer on them run out I would get green energy maybe every fifth or sixth time (if that).
You can also use this strategy on the new transporter energy, or any of the rooms that drop certain items as well. Good luck and hope it helps someone.
LikeLike
Forgot to say – when you are just replacing rooms with ones you have already built and paid for, there is no extra cost other than the time requirement. I had enough from freemium play to get this going.

This is ridiculous if Tinyco are taking the tribbles how are we supposed to earn enough Dilithium for characters + buildings + rooms??? Only 8 nerds spawn every hour or so and drop 2 Dilithium each. Buildings, rooms and characters drop a total of 30 – 50 (max if you actually log in every 2 hours or so) combined. That means about 100 Dilithium a day if we’re lucky (and considering most people can’t actually log in every 1-2 hours to tap nerds). After buying all the new rooms I have about 500 Dilithium left which means it will take me the better part of a week to get enough for Chris alone.
Trying to get chocolate for Deanna without being able to buy more rooms which produce Transport Energy is insane, especially if they’ve set the drop rate for chocolates as unlikely and set the time for missions and room charge up to six hours.
I hope more people start complaining and they take it on board. I really feel they’ve dropped the ball on this one.

After how nice the first week went… suddenly they spoil the rhythm with something that looks way too much. It’s been only one day, I know, but getting chocolates means sending guys into trips… you need Energy, tons of that… also you need it for the replicator, and for trips on questlines, and if the drop rates are as difficult as the Synthesizer Ore, this si not going to be that smooth.
On the other hand… what really, really looks bad (at least for me) is that there are not enough empty places to locate all the rooms we need on the ship… What’s the point on having the option to get new and different ones if you can’t place them 😦
Personal note: I hate those nerds!! I hate them since Comic-Con; Tribbles could have done the same job with no intruders on my ship
Let’s see how the week evolves.

The point of the rooms is so you can customize it to what YOU want. There are a mix of Dilithium and Clam rooms so every person has the option to purchase in a way they want to, giving each player multiple options of how to make YOUR own Enterprise look.

Sheesh, we’re only about 12 hours into the newest phase and already so many are up in arms about the amount of drops required. Can’t we just see how it plays out? I know drop rates are not the most fun, but I already have 3 of Deanna “extra rare” and 4 of Chris’s klingon books…I don’t need them to be unlocked the second they show up…
I will say, though, that I am bummed about the transporter energy mistake with Worf. I did buy him for that purpose, so I’m hoping something is remedied in that respect.

I STILL ONLY HAVE TWO FREAKING GREEN ORE CUBES! I’m not spending any money, but I am pretty diligent about keeping up on tasks and they just aren’t dropping. It’s been more than a week. I wouldn’t really care except this is a timed event. I’m glad your extra rare drops are frequent for you, but mine aren’t. I’m not really freaking out about the phase 2 content yet, but I think TinyCo MUST be using that “new math.”

Am I the only one who has suffered during this event when I clear the tribbles and always manage to end up on the “purchase room” screen on the enterprise?? I accidently spent 125 clams on a room I didn’t even want because the second I click a tribble it takes my screen to a totally different thing! So annoying!

The only safe place to click on Tribbles is in the hallways where rooms are closed, Engineering or 10 Forward, so I’ll have to wait until they move in there before I click on them. I don’t know what I’m going to do when the whole Enterprise is unlocked.

don’t imagine this will happen but…. it would be cool to have new skins for the Trek people. for example, the new uniforms they used starting in First Contact could cover the whole crew. and then maybe just skins for specific episodes or even the costumes/uniforms they’ve worn when on the Holodeck. and let’s assume the Enterprise itself does stay somehow….maybe a skin or upgrade that would turn it into the Enterprise E to match the new uniforms.

Just dropped my first $20 amount. Biggest I’ve ever spent on a freemium game, and I have no regrets. I got Worf and hopefully have enough to get all the other Trek characters, with maybe enough left over for Buzz Killington (last regular premium character).
That said, I have no intention of spending the clams on buying rooms even though I desperately want transporter energy. Troi’s chocolate is going to be a paaaaaaaain in the buuuuuuuutt. Or as Geordi would say, pain in the space butt. As soon as the other non-energy rooms finish their drops for character unlocks, I’ll be changing them all to transporter energy rooms.

I’ve been absolutely loving this Star Trek event until Phase 2. Are you kidding me, hey TinyCo April fools isn’t until next just week what are you trying to pull here? You’ll need a MINIMUM of 18 rare items to unlock Troi with only 2 ways of getting them, someone please tell me this is some sort of sick tasteless joke! There is NO WAY transporter ore should be a rare item considering the amount we’re going to need during this event and it’s only phase 2 you know missions in the later phases are going to require even more ore to do and only 2 ways of getting them without spending clams what a crock! I’m a paying customer I’ve already bought 2 clam packages during this event and this is how you reward loyal paying customers by screwing us right over, does Apple own TinyCo or something? And I’ve been getting screwed on synthesizer ore too with Bonnie perpetually drunk since the start of the event I haven’t gotten any ore in the last 3 days.
This phase is going to need and MAJOR overhaul or TinyCo is going to lose a lot of paying customers and me among them!

I’m finding this event particularly difficult to keep up with given the drop rates and now getting rid of the tribbles I have no chance. I only made it to level two this morning and can’t see how I’m possibly going to get 10 of the extra rare items. I have yet to get enough green cubes to unlock the mort skin either as bonnie never seems to drop them, nor does the building that is meant to. Frustrated!!!

I wonder will they announce few days before if they will stop Tribble production? Coz I am still if I should get the play ground. That happened to me with the two plants that were offered last week. I placed 3 of the pod plants (one was required for quest) and two trees to get my Starfleet xp a nudge. I know I played long enough to register their placement (sometimes if I have a crash the last minute or so of tasking is not remembered by the game) . Well, when I returned later all except the required pod plant were gone, but I don’t think I got a dilithium refund, but my Sxp was still level 2. Probably should have complained to TC, but it was such a small loss from my point of view to clog the complaint channel.

I am enjoying the game so far, even though I am not a star trek fan. (don’t flame me!) I do like the tribbles, and the sounds they make when you pop them, enough so that I even went and bought clams so I could buy the tribble pit! I most likely won’t buy any of the premium characters because I don’t care enough about them to spend real money, but I am somewhat doubtful that I will be able to obtain the non premium ones this round. I will just keep playing though and see how it goes, as I felt the same way about soap opera peter, and would up getting him at the last minute, even though I did not get to do his questline.
The only source I see for transportation energy, which is mandatory to unlock Troi, and pretty much needed too unlock Chris, without spending money, is the rec room, which “occasionally” drops one every 6 hours, giving you a possibility of 4 a day, which would not allow you to unlock Troi before the next round. Am I missing any other sources of transportation energy that don’t require spending money?

Hi brought Worf but it did say he would drop trapansporter energy but he does not. Tiny need to correct this as this was false advertising. Don’t get me wrong would still more than likely have got Worf, but this offer did convince me, I paid for him with the bonus clam package and a fav of mine, but he should drop transporter ebergy as offered. Or give bonus Transporter energy to us who purchased him. When you pay real money you should get what is paid for.

Pop up wasn’t right. Already reported. Everywhere else including on his character in the purchase menu showed that he actually drops Dictionaries.
Outside of that, you’ll need to message them in game in regards to it.

You’d think if any character would be voiced by the actual actor, it would be the premium character, yet it seems he’s the only one who isn’t. What kind of logic is that?

Legal. Gotta get the rights from the actor

well thats surprising…considering they got him on the show in two different episodes, figured it be a no brainer to get him involved with this. maybe there’s a delay and/or glitch and he will be voiced soon. but in the meantime, is he simply silent or does he at least grunt or something?

If you are talking about Word, it is voiced by Michael Dorn.

I know this is not a Tinyco forum and it is not necessarily the place but I wouldn’t be suprised by the number of people that can relate to my feelings.
Tinyco, are you kidding with this event? Would it be easier for me to just send you my banking information like you were some poor Nigerian trying to claim a lottery prize? Seriously though, Bonnie’s drop rate on an uncommon item blows. It barely ever drops. The rooms that are suppose to drop green cubes are not dropping either. To unlock Deanna Troy you need to hope that you get drops on 12 away missions that cost 6 blue cubes each. But how are you suppose to get said cubes? Buy purchasing a clam building, a clam room, or hoping you get a drop out of room that costs 500 dylithem. Then there is Worf, 48 hours to purchase or he is gone?
Look, I like Star Trek and I don’t mind buying clams for things I find either of interest or of value in the game, but it is becoming increasingly clear that although you attempt to appease your players, you are digging deeper into ways to screw us out of wanting to play unless we pay.
Just because you have an event going on, doesn’t mean rip off your fan base. Seriously, that’s how you go from hero to zero.
I’ve been playing since close to day 1, have seen how other events have gone and know that this is way more in your face about pushing clam purchases to continue. I find if disappointing from a company that in the past had made lots of effort to keep their players at a happy medium. Don’t believe me? Look at how many people post negative about the game but love Bunny and Alissa? They care about the game and the players but it seems that since you’ve gotten a taste of the money, you have let greed take over.
B & A, sorry about the rant, you two make following what is going on in the game enjoyable. It’s Tinyco that’s making it very hard to want to stay involved in the game because of their poor greedy decisions. Normally I wouldn’t post such a rant but since you have a guest from Tinyco sitting in as a mod right now, maybe they should truly understand some of the feelings and thoughts that some players have about them and the game.
Btw, I am still playing and have recently purchased clams and spend said clams in the game, but it’s a fine line between value and ripoff, especially in the freemium market, and once that line is crossed, people will move on as if the room smells like dirty socks.

FYI…Matt was only here for that specific post. And WE still had to push his comments. NO ONE has access to anything on this site but myself and Alissa. No one at all. WE moderate it all. Alissa and Me. That is all.
I appreciate your thoughts and sentiment. Just please in the future I do ask you use the correct posts like Dear TinyCo or What The Deuce so that players seeking help on specific items don’t have to wade through massive comments to find the answer. We established specific posts to help avoid that. We feel it takes away from our hard work, time, and effort we put into providing an informative post. 😉

You also might want to point out that Deanna has a chance to drop four chocolate bars, even though it does say that it THIS post. I think a lot of people are missing that. So you could potentially get all 12 by sending her just three times.

or the away missions drop 4 chocolate bars that you need to unlock Deanna.

I wouldn’t have seen his post in What the Deuce, so I appreciate seeing his comments here. I do understand how intensive this particular event is and why you want to keep thing organized. It’s your site. But, just saying…

And I get that… but for us to spend time on an informative post to have it overrun with hundreds of comments that are just venting… well that makes the entire post pointless now doesn’t it?
There is a reason we want to keep focus to specific areas. It not only makes it easier on us, but on other readers seeking Event Only information, not to mention when we want to focus TinyCo on an issue it is easier to have them look at one post then to have to dig through thousands of comments all over on our site.
It is something you may not understand or appreciate from our point of view, but for the better of all… it really is better to stick with the flow we establish. 😉

Yep agree too. LOVE Star Trek but this feels a little spoiled by drop rates.

Have you lot been playing a different event? The STAR TREK event’s first week has been clam light – straightforward to to get the four costumes/characters and a generous bounty of dilithium crystals (and some free clams). No, not a great number of buildings or decorations – but I thought players had no space left?
As to the second week- it is the second week, not the second two or three days. And there is the whole month, too. There are only two character/costumes to collect for – far too early to moan.

700 clams? Really?

Just to nitpick one complaint you listed, it’s really only a minimum of 3 away missions to get enough chocolate to unlock Deanna as each time it would give you 4 chocolates out of her 12 required. Now, getting enough energy to do so when you also need that energy for crafting…….well, let’s just wait and see if the transporter energy has the same luck as the synthesizer, haha.

So since I bought a planet for 25 clams do I get to keep that at the end of the event or did I spend 25 clams to get the battle arena? 😉
