Sorry for the delay on this one, been curled up in a corner on meds trying to make it until my flight out in a few hours.
Once you go aboard the Enterprise (as this wouldn’t trigger for me in Quahog), you will be prompted by Peter for a mini quest titled “Away We Go”. THIS IS A TIMED QUEST! (I am still verifying if there is a trigger. I had just passed Frame of Mind Part 6 & 7 in my game.)
The Mini Quest asks you to send Characters out on TWO Missions:
Starfleet Peter on a Mission to Wai Iota iV (6 Transporter Energy/ 8hrs)
Ferengi Mort, Riker, and Geordi on a Mission to Oh’Nos (2 Transporter Energy/ 3hrs)
If you complete BOTH missions within 14hrs, you will be awarded 5 Clams.
So if you have the Transporter Energy and the time, give it a try and see what happens. If you still want to do this Mini Quest but want to wait for the Materials to do it, try not to tap on Peter at all to trigger the Missions. Some readers have reported that it still worked with Peter in a group of others and not just alone.

Side Note: It is really hilarious, but for some reason Herbert is wandering around in the clothing from a race of people in Star Trek. They were called the Edo. People from Rubican III who wore strange looking white outfits. “Friendly” bunch to say the least. You can see more information on them in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 1, Episode: Justice.
Drop rates seem to be changing, so check your Character combos again in the Transporter and you may see some better chances for items like Chocolate.
The look of Kronos has also changed in the game.

I thought I was seeing things when it came to naked Herbert. Thanks for the explanation. Still this quick task looks impossible to beat given the drop rate of the Blue Orbs for teleportation. Does anyone else have this similar problem or is it just me ?

People are saying it is completing for them just by sending them, not completing it… so it could go fast.

Bunny I gotta ask, do you really think the timed challenge is possible for someone (I imagine most players) to begin this challenge with 0-2 orbs? Do you think it’s possible they can earn 10 orbs AND complete one travel mission and start the second?

It depends on where they are. As I see a lot not to the point where the task unlocked for me, there is a good chance many can stock up on Transporter Energy before proceeding. For those already there… It all depends on the drops to be honest.

As noted in the post, others tried with him and a group of Characters and as long as he went too… it worked.

It looks to be built into the questline from the start. Drops aside. It was already there… just hadn’t got to point of triggering it yet.

Progress is from starting task. So do the 3 hour first then the 8 hour. Only takes the 3 hours to get 5 clams.

Is it just me or are the blue things to run the transporter really hard to get? im averaging one to two a day and I got every one trying to earn them.

I know I won’t be able to do this one. I’ve only gotten one transporter energy in the last 60 hours. I still need books and have zero chocolate. At the rate I am going, I will have Klingon Chris around tax day.

It triggered for me just after gaining the billboard (and depleting all my energies btw) , but it could be just a coincidence. Not gonna be able to earn this clams. You win some and you lose some.

as a data point, finished part 5 of the questline with the billboard, got the prompt to rebuild the bathroom and send Peter on his 12 hour job (part 6) before I rebuilt the bathroom or sent Peter on his task, the timer started (I don’t think I’ll try because wasting the energy and Morts possible energy drop on a pointless trip to OhNoes isn’t worth 5 clams)

Was able to complete the miny quest for the clams other than that only received dillitium, now I have over 4k of that so not really of any value as I see it, kind of like the 4.5 million useless coins I have. Completed Klingon Chris yesterday. Have everything for Deanna or what ever her name is except, wait for it, zero chocolate bars, shocking. Have yet to waste the dillitium on her so for now it just bounces over her image. Can’t see wasting anything on her since it’s over 5 days in and has taken this long to just make 2 of those planet trips. I can say though that I’ve played from the start and this is the first time I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t care if I go on and play anymore

I got the quest yesterday and completed it this morning. I think it triggered for me after Frame of Mind Part 6, but not positive on that…might have been part 7.

the chocolate drops might have changed…sent 3 (riker, peter and worf if it might matter) on a trip last night, the chocolate odds were very very low and i still managed to get some. maybe it was luck but maybe they made it a lil easier.

I sent Mort with Peter to Iota, got the clams when that second trip was Started. Also got my first chocolates from that trip.
Was hesitant to do this one, didn’t think 5 clams was worth using the blue energy, but got the chocolates from the mission, so worked out ok for me.

This was a great opportunity for clams, but even as a player who plays every 4-6hrs a day…this was waaaaay to short a time to do it. I had 6 chances to get transporter blue things and drops didn’t happen and then when I got 6 it’s 8 more hours for transport to finish

I had 7 hours left in the challenge and Peter’s away mission was 8. I figured I’d have to speed him up at the end to get the clams, but it awarded them as soon as I sent him. That makes the challenge easier than it seems.

The three returned with just 45 dilithium. However, have just sent Peter to planet with Geordi and indicator States OK for chocolate, so fingers crossed for eight hours time.

I complained in-game about this one as it triggered whilst the transporter was already in use with another mission to Wai. So it was actually impossible to complete (well,you could rush the mission, but TinyCo don’t usually design things to have to be rushed.). They should have made his only trigger when the transporter was free.

Many are saying it clears from just sending them. So may be easier to pass off then you think 😉

Thanks for the helpful hint! Unfortunately characters were tied up on other actions too, so the quest was still impossible. Plus, triggering late at night is a mean trick 🙂

Only 5 books off for Klingon Chris and 8 chocolates and 10 headbands for Deanna so hopefully I’l start completing the tasks soon.

✨they must have changed something or even fixed some kinda problem in our games because mine is all WHACKY!!! Graphics are ALL messed up! When I first logged in about 15 minutes ago, Francine Smith was done with her 24-hr task and when I clicked her checkmark, PETER’S image came up instead of hers soooo idk what’s going on lmao Yhe graphic colors are all dark shadowed also and EVERYTHING just looks like crap and really bad!!! 😕😟😯✨💫

It feels to me like this is their way to gauge how many people can actually do 2 missions in 14 hours (when tempted with clams), compared to how many are complaining that they don’t have enough energy to do ANY missions.
Problem with this is that many folks are JUST NOW finally getting enough energy to do their very first missions… so even if they do complete the challenge, they will be back to zero energy afterward.

Glad I did this task as I got the last 4 books I needed to create Klingon Chris from the ‘Oh-nos’ send (hadn’t got any from doing prior trips) and received the 5 clams as soon as I sent Peter…didn’t have to wait for him to return. Hoping when he does he brings back my first bars of chocolate!! …..Thinking Tinyco may have created this task to help us out??

I just like to know if Peter was necessary to obtain the chocolates including Chris and Geordi or only with the team of Chris and Geordi as I dont have Worf.

Just go to the Transporter and tap on the Characters to see what results you see on the Chocolate with and without Peter. It will let you know if it makes a difference.

I just started the second part of the timed mission for the five clams and as soon as I sent mort riker and Geordie I received the five clams. Which is great cause I thought I was gonna have to stay up till 5:30 to clear the task before time ran out.

I can confirm. I just retrieved Mort/Riker/Geordi from their mission and when I sent Peter on his task it popped as complete so it seems like you only need to FINISH one of the two trips. This should calm a lot of the anger over this short timed mission.
Oh and uh, does Herbert have a costume in this event because mine currently is wearing some white monokini type thing. It almost looks like the white part of his costume without the bath robe on top(the part covering his chest matches the white t-shirt under his bath robe but there’s no white pants and instead he’s almost wearing the front of his white pants over his butt. Visual glitch or what?

Even if I wanted, I won’t be doing this. Blue energy just doesn’t drop for me. I did not spend clams on the room or on Worf, but why do they make this a rare drop when needed so much? Just to kill time untill next stage hits?
Also noted you need lots and lots of the light green cube thingie, so I have Riker on his 2 hour mission at all times. That and just tapping the Tibbles. And is it just me or does the blond Tibble looks like Donald Trumps hair on the loose?

Earlier today I used 6 of my 9 energies to go to Wai Iota with Peter. Once he got back, the quest triggered. This is now impossible for me to complete because it did not let me even have time to get the other characters off of their really long tasks.

How would one get 8 Transporter Energy and also complete the tasks in under 14 hours? Another totally wacky design. But I guess we shouldn’t expect reasonably manageable challenges from TinyCo anymore.

Use the room switch technique. Working every time for me. 21 blue so far. Though only done one away mission so far, and that wasn’t worth it.
