Bouncing on in here with some updates on things going on in the game right now, so sit tight as we run through them all.
WHEN DOES THE EVENT END?
We are still awaiting word on the actual end date for the New Years Event. We will hopefully get a little more solid response on it soon. We will update you when we do know. From what I can tell, it will go for at LEAST a week.
WHY DO CHARACTERS SHOW $999 OR NOTHING AT ALL?
This is just an image thing. The task itself was paying out Event Currency during the Holiday and now should have gone back to regular pay. For some reason out of all the ones that transferred over, this one decided to not complete. No worries, it has been reported, they are aware of it, and it will be fixed soon so it will be back to showing the proper $$ & XP Payout. (It never actually paid $999, that is just a placeholder image. Though it would be a nice one. LOL).
Some now have been cleared but the payout $$ is still missing. All reported, all being worked on.
I KEEP GETTING STUCK ON BABS QUESTLINE!!
For many trying to complete Babs questline of 5 Golden Rings, there seems to be an issue getting stuck at a specific point. “the reward no longer exists” is what many are seeing before the game refreshes on Part 2.
TinyCo is aware of this issue and currently working on a way to resolve it. Hang in there.
IS RITE OF PASSAGE A PERMANENT BUILDING?
Waiting confirmation, though it does look to be a permanent one.

Mainly iOS were impacted by this, either way a patch is on it’s way with the next Update that should help to resolve the missing sound issue.

I WAS ABLE TO BUY MORE THAN ONE EASTER BOOTH?
This was a glitch that was quickly resolved. It should not cause issues in the future. If you do run into anything by having more than one, please let them know.
CAN’T UNLOCK MY CHARACTER!
They are still working on this one. Please notify them if you run into the issue of tapping on the lock to release a character, but still unable to do so.
MISSING CHAMPAGNE GLASSES??
There is a bit of confusion on Material collections, so I want to touch on that really quick. If you have Multiple Characters, Buildings, Etc all needing the same item …that item will immediately go to the first one you complete.
For instance, BOTH Jillian and the Rite of Passage need Champagne Glasses in order to complete them. Jillian needs 20 Champagne Glasses and Rite of Passage needs 10. That is a total of 30 Champagne Glasses you will need to collect. So if you collect 23 Champagne Glasses and go Jillian in the Easter Booth and tap on her Champagne Glasses Bubble above her head, it will clear the checkmark and the bubble under it and take 20 Champagne Glasses away. Leaving only 3 more for the Rite of Passage.
So make sure if you notice they are “gone”, that they did not just go to another items collection. Now if you have NOT cleared the Rite of Passage Tower and have NOT tapped on Jillian’s lil Bubble to use any Champagne Glasses but are still missing Champagne Glasses, please Contact TinyCo. See if you notice they are just not saving as you exit the game or if they are just going into thin air.
So a few different things going on, some we are still waiting for word on and will update once we do. Hopefully this has helped out to answer some of your questions.

If you put your Rite of Passage Tower in the inventory and then take it out, you will reset the countdown even after completing the auld lang syne quest!!!! I collected all the needed items again and received 10 clams! !!!

Sounds like you need to do so. Go to your app market and make sure you are playing the latest version of the game.

I noticed all my 4 friends are missing now. I updated the game and checked again but still missing. Tried to click on the add button but got a message saying I’ve added all the friends I can. Any glitch here I’m missing?

I unlocked jillian with clams. Got her. Wenter through the the whole rite of passage thing. But it didn’t give me her apartment. Now I can’t do her quest string… what to do?

Does anyone else have Jillian’s voice really quiet all the others are the same level? Game last about 2 minutes then just freezes or crashes eveytime now so tales about 15minutes plus to just gather rent amd put people on tasks is really annoying.

Yeah Alan, my android has sound issues too. Background music will cut out sometimes, other times its background music and voices. Its been going on for awhile.
And to the person whose game keeps crashing, I have the SAME issue! Its so frustrating!

As Patrick Stewart and others get closer and closer to 25 (or 15) I’m hoping to start storing some of the extraneous characters… tapping and dragging for 58 of them has gone from amusing to tedious and once they’re max level I’ve no use for most of them unless I care to reminisce.
So my question: if a character is stored and they get tagged to start a new quest, will I just miss it entirely or will the quest notification still show, prompting me to pull them from storage? I realize that’s pretty unlikely for folks like King Butt and Kool-Aid Man, but sometimes I’d like a break from a larger portion, too.
Anyone encountered this or heard something about how such a scenario would work? Thanks…

Maybe it’s a function of where I am in the game rather than a bug, but I’m seeing tasks with the prize of a gerbil for Dr Hartman and Quagmire again. In general, this is fine, however I don’t have any skins or quests that require gerbils, so I don’t know why I’m collecting them. Any insight?

On a positive note, I’m glad to see Ghostbuster Cleveland outfit moved to the right side of Regular Cleveland. It was definitely one of the things that irritated me, since I’m terribly anal.

Hi, I’m playing on an iPhone 6 plus and I unlocked Jillian by completing the tasks and when I tapped on the unlocked gold padlock Bruce came on and said that the cats were as cute as a butt. I had a phone call and answered it. When I came back to the game she still has the gold unlocked padlock above her head but the game keeps kicking me back to the phones main screen every time I tap on it. I’m able to do everything else in the game but I’m unable to get Jillian. I’ve restarted my phone and I don’t know anything else to do.

Sorry the issue of Jillian not unlocking was already mentioned. She unlocked for me but a phone call interrupted the game now I’m unable to unlock her. Thought it was because the game was interrupted. I didn’t realise it was an ongoing issue.

Characters not having sound is not just an ios issue. I have experienced this glitch on my galaxy S5 (android 4.4.4) and also on my galaxy tab 3, although after update seems to be getting better.

I never said it was JUST iOS, I actually specifically stated “Mainly iOS” as that is the feedback on our end and TinyCo. That it plagues mostly iOS when all the devices combined reported. Never said it was isolated. 😉

Around Christmas I was able to get Brian all his stuff and everytime I try to unlock him it shuts off my game I’m really hoping that you guys are able to fix this and soon, I’m getting really tired of bulls walking around in my town, you could say that it’s “a whole lotta bull”

Since the second half of this seasons American Dad starts in Febuary, I’m hoping we’ll get some additional AD content. Maybe some new costumes (Roger is a gold mine for costumes! Or a AD costume for Patrick Stewart!) and even second chances at the characters for people who weren’t able to unlock them in time.

I accidentally spent almost 500 clams to unlock Jillian, now when I tap the bubble over her head to fully unlock her the game freezes and then force closes, i have already sent them an in game message, anything else I can do? Thanks

If TinyCo needs some time to slow down and fix issues, they could set up a few character tasks to earn limited time currency or item drops that could be traded in for old stuff players may not have gotten the first time through. Or a mystery box that contains some old items that are chosen at random.
I’ve been done with Jillian for a couple of days now and twiddling my thumbs waiting for something to do. I can’t even get any satisfaction out of dancing the shipoopi anymore as I finished that task during American Dad. The only thing I do have going right now is the fact that some of the Comic Con celebrities with those infernal level 25 max are starting to go yellow on my FaceSpace page. Got Felicia done, Patrick Stewart is close and Nathan Fillion just hit level 24. Woo Hoo!

Mr. Weed, George Takei, and Roger’s 24 hour tasks show no xp or coins. Are you saying we will still get xp from those tasks. George specifically is annoying to jot set on 24 hours. Other 2 have 20 hours at least.

I am stating there is a glitch. Whether or not anything is adding, check your total $$ before and after collecting, if it is adding…then the money is still applying and just the image glitch. If nothing is applying to the $$$ at all, let them know. Either way, it is being worked on. 😉

I saw a lot of people complaining about the champagne glasses so i tapped Jillians bubble to make it disappear than i kept a close eye on the next set of champagne glasses i had to collect and i noticed it deleted mine as soon as i opened a mystery box that gave me 11 out of 10 2015 glasses. I already contacted tiny Co and finished collecting the remaining champagne but thought I’d come here and give everybody a heads up.

Not sure if anyone else has had this but on the wife’s game she unlocked the rite of passage tower and got the clams and Jillians apartment. A day later she unlocked Jillian and the rite of passage collection started again which she collected and completed again unfortunately it didn’t pay out any clams this time.

I have a question, maybe you (very, very well informed 🙂 ) ladies can help me out.
I am playing on a Iphone 4 device (prior it was a Ipad 1, but I had to quit playing there, as the game was not playable any longer – Mad issues with game crashes etc.).
Well, since the latest update my game crashes all the time. no matter what I do.
I can get into the game, but then…
– zooming in / out –> game crash
– tapping charaters –> game crash ( 90% of the time)
– clearing buldings –> game crash ( 50/50 chance)
– clearing checkmarks of charcters –> game crash (50/50)
– moving around town –> game crash 99%
– opening up (for example) Jillians “building menue” –> game crash (8 of 10 times)
– opening the RoP-Tower menue –> game crash (8 of 10 times)
The only way to play right now, is to zoom completly into my city and move step-by-step. This also means clicking every single coin manually to avoid the “automatic drop” into my cash account. Clearing all my buildings and characters takes me about an hour + and about 30-40-50 game crashes.
The game is simply not playable any longer.
Again, IOS with Iphone4….
Am I the only one with these kind of problems?
Did you hear anything like that?
I did all the usual troubleshooting (clear cache, close all other apps, freed disc space etc.), but at the end of my knowledge.
The app seems to be VERY memory heavy. Is my iphone 4 simply “too old”? (Hahaha, yeah right….)
Maybe you guys heard about this…I know you are not the developers 🙂

Iphone 6 works but ran into first issue w game since its release. Jillian will not unlock. Everything collected but game crashes when u go to unlock. Have tried every tip to no avail. Contacted tinyco yesterday morning and they had no answer. I agree w an earlier comment. They need to chill out on rushing updates w new content all the time and get the game backbone fixed first.

They JUST got back in to full staff yesterday. Give them a lil to get all the kinks worked out. They are aware of this issue (as stated in this very post) and will push a patch to resolve it as soon as it is ready. LOTS going on and they are working as fast as they can to fix it. (Even us Addicts are impacted)

So, I nuked my town a while back for the christmas event, and I just now reorganized my town. When I replaced the clone machine, Bitch Stewie was standing next to it again, but before I reorganized (even after nuking the town) Bitch Stewie wasn’t there.. He JUST showed up, and I don’t know if it’s just my town or everyone else’s…

When they fixed whatever was keeping me from gettin into the game from the 25th on, Only a few of my characters had sound. wasnt an issue before the 25th for me tho i had seen people talk about it previously. Im on iOS. So irking that they gave tasks to get new years items for mostly the characters added after the 25th from xmas event. which screws me entirely.

I have had an invalid wallet data error since December 30th I cannot access my game at all since then, I have notified TinyCo of this and still no action, I am not very happy as I have not missed anything in the game since launch day and now it looks like I will! Very sad face 😢

I really wanted all of the NPC characters that were available in the New Year’s Mystery Box so I didn’t buy any until I had unlocked Jillian (and thereby completed the Rite of Passage tower collecting). I was hoping that this would mean that the box wouldn’t give me any of the items you needed to collect but that was apparently not the case and I missed out on the Deer Thug. Sort of disappointing but what can you do…

Is it just me, or are some of the voices quieter than others? Most notably the two Bitch characters and now Jillian are very quiet in comparison to others. It’s not limited to new ones either, as Babs, Jesus, and Santa are fine.

The Bitches sound fine to me, but Freddy Krueger is so quiet, I have yet to make out anything he says! I don’t know about Jillian because her and the guys from KISS aren’t speaking for me (I’m on a Kindle). Does Santa talk? Because I haven’t heard anything from him either.

I was surprised they didn’t have The Doc and Marty (McFly) as additional characters in this event
It’s 2015 (The year BTTF2 is set), there’s a stopped clock tower, there was a task to have Bruce hand out flyers (“Save the clock tower”) and Peter even mentioned a hoverboard in one of the dialogues

The events of Marty and Doc in 2015 don’t occur until October 21st, so who knows, we could be looking a BTTF event for next Halloween or sooner, that this is just the pre-cursor of.
Heck if they get the license for BTTF, We could be looking at a couple of small events this year.

Missing sound is most definitely NOT an iOS only issue. Many characters in my game (e.g. all American Dad ones and also the premiums from Comic Con) are no longer playing sounds on a wide array of Android devices.

As the post very clearly states, I NEVER said it was exclusive to iOS. EVER. I actually said “Mainly iOS”. As that is the reported cases logged to us and TinyCo. Out of all the devices out there, iOS is reporting it the most. NO ONE ever said it wasn’t impacting anyone else too. 😉
