–WHAT THE DEUCE….Spawn Rates on Chumba Wumbas. Every 8hrs, seriously?! AND it takes 6hrs to clear?! So much for Stewie earning beer bubbles…
–WHAT THE DEUCE… parents letting their sick snotty nose dripping booger kids touch all the boxes, bags, and other items …even putting them in their mouth. Then putting same items back on the shelf.

WTD? Went to my job the one that seriously overworks me and underpays me..came back home…checked in on one of my favorite sites, for leisure purposes 🙂 and POW! Lol. Such a cool head Bunny! I respect you for that, and for the way you, and Alissa, run this site. And TY Kim, for venting on ‘What the Deuce.’
Perhaps the former discussion was a good thing. I’m sure there are many FGQFS addicts who see Kim’s points, myself included. However, what I personally believe, is that what the owners, founders & loyal fans alike, of this particular fabulous fansite want, is to create and maintain a culture where we make game changes in a positive way. Be it by constructive criticism, gaming experience, creativity, humor, temporary insanity, intelligence, ya get the jist. Anyways, thanks to Bunny and Kim for the open discussion. 😉

Uh huh. Like I said we LOVE open discussion. It is great. I want to see AND hear all that others are going through. Especially the bad. I appreciate all points of views. I just get protective. Protective of negativity towards us or any other readers regardless… I want good conversations without pitchforks and torches. I get when in anger people may OVER vent and push those lines. It’s OK. We have all been there and done that. So I will do my best to steer the focus back. Kim does make some good valid points, that is true. We welcome that.

I also want, the good discussions without the pitchforks and torches. I find myself biting my tongue often, when reading some forum opinions, but I wouldn’t want you to change a thing in how you respond to your readers. You are Bunny and we want you to stay a Bunny. 😉

My what the deuce is people who defend TinyCo for having fewer animations now because they take up memory in the game. The characters can only use one animation at a time, so what does it matter if they have one or six? It is a complete canard lol

Oh my dear friend… as I pointed out… it is not the individual act… it is an accumulation of sending them ALL on it at same time. For instance, if many are like myself… you like to send ALL characters on same time frames. So… if ALL characters had an animated 2 hour task that you sent them ALL on… that is a LOT going on in the game all at once. This is what we see in the OTHER game. It is not the “well then just don’t send them”. We all know if the option is there, many will use it as… much like myself… we LOVE outdoor tasks and watching our characters animated. Especially if that is the ONLY 2 hr task they have or w/e time slot the player wants to send them all on. I myself wasn’t defending anyone, just pointing out something I have seen and experienced personally in many games before this one even existed. If TinyCo can find a way to do it where others failed or ran into trouble, I would LOVE that. I would applaud them for it. Has nothing to do with a specific gaming house, just experience. 🙂

There are worse things than being alone, KP …. At least alone, you can make your own decisions, come and go as you please, not have to justify playing this silly game. Pair-bonding is not all that it’s cracked-up to be.

I have a what the deuce about you defending tiny-co for the outrageous prices for skins. You said if we look at the instant clam price we would see how expensive the freemium skins were. But that’s the issue why would are the skins so expensive. Tiny-co tells us we need a certain number of items to unlock a skin. They then decide to make each item vary in rarity, which somehow makes those items more expensive. Don’t defend their greed. I would rather be charged up front for a game instead of being forced to pay to advance later.

When are you being forced though? And when is a company trying to cover the cost to make the game and pay their employees greed? That’s like saying a supermarket is greedy for setting prices on product to cover their overhead.
Its fine to want a deal or discount on something, but what pays for the game?
And with TONS of characters offered just for playing the game…about 95%-98% are earnable/free… why is offering an exclusive item for those that wanna pay to keep a game going equal to greed? How is it forced? YOU control your game. No one else.
I’m not just talking this game, I’m talking about life in general. Do you work your job for free? How is your salary paid? How about insurance? Heat and A/C in the building? Lights? Water? On n on. Who pays those bills? Where does the money come from?
It’s all that Bigger Picture.

You missed the point. Tiny-co sets the price and the drop rate, meaning that you could play faithfully and not get the items needed before time runs out which means either buy something you just worked to get for free or except that you wasted your time on an item they were never going to let you earn for free anyway.

I didn’t. I got you don’t like the way they set their game up. I was responding to the other points you made.
Out of all the events…the ONLY ones that we were unable to complete Freemium was Circus and original Rupert. Kingdom was by a glitch. All recent ones since we got completed without Clams. It is all in how you play. Many aren’t used to this style. It’s not what’s out there in apps, more in home gaming systems which is what makes it unique.
You don’t have to like the style. Not all games are for all players. Doesn’t mean you need to accuse us of the way we game or think. Or assume what we do and don’t do. Again, Bigger Picture. You don’t see mine n Alissa’s daily conversations about the game.
Vent about your dislikes. That’s fine. If you don’t like something in the game or want to suggest they set up their game different to suit you, then tell them. But it doesn’t mean you’re allowed to attack others… like us because we think differently than you. Or understand things on a different level from our gaming experience. There is always a better way to get a point across than tearing someone down, don’t you think? THAT goes against our Guidelines.

Well let me put it a different way if I stay on top of the events setting alarms and losing sleep I feel there should be some guarantee of success. I’m a faithful player and I don’t mind paying to keep a game running, but I feel like the supposedly free items that are time limited are designed to make you pay after you put in the time to unlock it.

This is good info. Things we see discussed between players. No one wants to feel they have to “grind” constantly in the game.
And I completely understand that. Things like that is why we do polls on our site after every event. It offers us a way to show them what kind of results our readers have during the events. How successful people are in gaining an item. Where things fail. Things that we can draw attention to. Things that were liked and disliked. That is the good thing about them, they do listen. It is all in how that information is presented. If we have facts and stats to back it up, it is much easier to show then to just yell and scream and say “THIS SUCKS!” if you catch my drift. 😉
As I said. It all comes down to a matter of a Bigger Picture. We know as a business they need to make money. We know (as we spend a TREMENDOUS amount of money on this game to provide info for site) how all the Clam cost items can impact the game. We are players ourselves. We are playing right along side everyone else testing things out. Seeing what works best. We also have real lives and jobs too (this is a side project so to speak, we still gotta pay our bills too). That is why we are very particular on information. Not just who can yell the most, but offer solid data, facts, and proof behind our requests and suggestions. All a matter of presenting not only the WHY…but offering a HOW it can do better and WHERE it can improve. 😉
This is why we try to open players eyes. Dig deeper. Reach further. This is the ONLY company so far with game apps that is listening like they do to players and interacting with them on a constant basis. Trying to make improvements and changes to better the game. It does not mean we are “taking sides” or “allowing things”. It means we are here… working very hard to show a both sides of how gaming works. We are indeed showing… the Bigger Picture.
I appreciate open discussion. We like the venting. We want to see where the frustrations are and let others see they are not alone. We just still want it to be an attack safe environment when it is done. So please… vent all you want. Offer your opinion at anytime. You are welcome to. Just… don’t single people out when doing so. Especially the Addicts that have your back in ways you probably have no idea of. 😉

Ever played RPG style games? This is more like those where you have to collect items and complete tasks in order to progress in the game. Fight bosses to go to the next level. Many times failing before completing them in the process and having to retry again and again. Think… hmmmmmm… Lunar, Vay, Zelda, ect. Even the LEGO games out now. All require you to locate and/or acquire items… even battle creatures to complete a Character or task and at times… it is not easy at all.
That is where I see a lot of similarities in this game. Even talked with them about this. More something I am used to seeing on RPG console games than a mobile device. Lol. Most mobile games are “connect the dots” style or “quick taps” and done. They are starting to branch out now more and more into this style and I do not think all are used to it.

they weren’t ‘defending’ TinyCo, just offering their perspective. I agree that 200 clams for a skin is ridiculous, which for the first time ever I’m not buying it.
it’s all about how you play and what you think is worth paying for.
no one is forcing you to do anything. and I’ve been playing this game from the start, I’ve participated in every limited timed event, even circus, and never had to use clams to get the timed skins or items except for the rupert event.

Me personally, like I said in the Do I Want post… it’s a “completionist” skin. Which means no real purpose or addition to the game that I currently can see. Who knows in future. It is an item in my opinion for those that just want everything offered, regardless. Lol. One of those… “I just want it no matter what” things (Looking at all those who stand in lines for days to be first to get an item and whatever cost…yes, I have done this too. Lol). For those that gotta have the “complete” set. Lol. It’s one of those items we view as a “Premium Player Exclusive” item. One made for the sole purpose of those that want to buy. Nothing more.
Kinda like… that exclusive toy offered in limited release or game you can get ONLY if you buy it at a specific location and in short numbers. I get it. I see many businesses use the same marketing. Doesn’t mean I am gonna buy into it. That will ALWAYS remain MY choice. Lol. 😉

It’s not the clam only items I have an issue with really it’s the ones you can supposedly get for free if you collect the items like the
Christmas event battling the the yeti became impossible without purchasing John McClain. Tiny-co could drop items constantly then hold out on the final one till you either purchase the limited time skin or character or time expires. Either way they are in control of whether or not they actually give us the supposed free content

And we get that. Honestly. We actually sent them all the stats and results from the Yeti. We did not like the results that much for it either. There WAS a way to do it, but you had to NOT upgrade the Tree to do so. That is how it was possible without Clams. So that one we are very aware of. All others… all were achieved just fine in our Freemium test games through regular pay. There was a LOT of other free items in that event. The Yeti only impacted Jesus.

FYI I was able to get Jesus without any clams – I didn’t buy John McLain or any other premium items. I did upgrade normally as well so Jesus was obtainable to freemium players without any tricks but it wasn’t easy. It seems from the poll many others did as well. Sure as a freemium player I can’t get everything but darn close. I wouldn’t want it always to be easy, I like the challenge. I currently have over 800 clams and over 4 million coins – all free. Lots of fun for free so I can’t complain when something doesn’t go my way. Thanks addicts for all the info you have provided – also free!

Yes, players were successful in getting Jesus without Clams. Not as high as we would have wanted, but still there was success. Freemium most definitely will not get it all, that is a sacrifice many have to accept when being a Freemium. I know that while I played the OTHER game Freemium I missed out on items, but I still have a town stuffed full of free things. Same with this game. The Free items far outweighs the Clams items right now… at least a 90/10 split if not higher on Free side (I would have to calculate again since last event), so my Freemium game is stuffed full. Even in my Premium game. I like the idea too that I earned it all myself. I love a good challenge and to know I got it from successfully completing the challenges makes me love what I have even more. (If it was easy, I would grow bored like I do of many other app games. I want that Challenge.) I spend enough Clams fast forwarding to pull data for the sight. The amount we go through is sickening. So… if I can save some here and there and get items free instead I am happy with that.

how items drop is at RANDOM. even if it’s common, it can drop like an extra rare.
There’s no guy over at TinyCo pushing a button deciding whether or not to give you an item. it’s completely random.
in the freenium events, I’ve never had any problems getting timed skins or characters. never had to use clams. got them all free – but i did play diligently, timers and whatnot.
I know it sucks sometimes, but if it was easy, it wouldn’t be fun

But that’s a part of the problem. The drops can be so random that you don’t get the items in time to unlock and do related quest. I had that issue with Jillian and the new years eve skin. And currently I’m attempting to unlock Trisha and banana Brian which seems like they have me at a standstill. Constantly sending the characters out to do the tasks then getting nothing gets pretty boring and tedious and I don’t see how that’s supposed to be fun.

WTD, Performance Enhancers were dropping like clockwork until now. I still need 3 to unlock Barnaby.
WTD, at the cost of the beer fountain being 10 paddles! With the drop rates being what they are I won’t be able to get one until 2016. Then TinyCo has the nerve to put a 2 limit, so District 10 will never end.
WTD, at not being warned Chumba Wumbas would run around my Quahog. I need CW Stewie and I just put him on the 12 hour task to get Bubbles and bam! they pop up.

What the deuce my drop rates have been fine since I got the app last summer… jus unlocked Burnaby now but before yesterday every time I sent lois and Bonnie they have me an enhancer so I get confused when I see other ppl saying they don’t drop. I think it’s because I live in toronto 😃

For an uncommon item the syringe drop rate is really bad and I don’t normally complain about such thing. In over 3 days I’ve had a total of 5 drop and now need to get 8 in 2 days -_-”

what the deuce??? My game has frozen after I pressed the button to build the blimp… I can see characters walking passed but I can’t touch them and there are no menus on screen at all!! And I can’t seem to contact tiny co either!! Can anyone help?

Game What the Deuce: What’s with the movie action thingys by some of the actions for each character? I first thought they were for the actions that you could see the characters doing…but I was wrong? So what’s with??
Life What the Deuce: So I just got done bartending a couple hours ago, I had just called last call. This guy that was sitting in front of where I was standing to wash the glasses, leans over the bar and is like six inches from my face begging me to kiss him. I told him no multiple times as well as told him that I am a lesbian and that I am engaged to my amazing wife. He said he didn’t care and for me to make out with him. He did not stop until I threatened him by saying if he did not back away from me within the next two seconds that I was going to grab the aluminum bat and hit him with it…WTF is wrong with people…and men wonder why I’m a lesbian…smh.

The steroids stopped dropping for Lois and Bonnie. Have five to go for the last character for two days. Everything was fine. Now have Till tomorrow to get five steroids, To get Barnaby in the bike shop. Fingers crossed. They drop or they give us all a sixth day. Fingers crossed. Buying Stewie would not help cause not only expensive but working to unlock him so not avail to me in game yet. Grrr.

I just started playing again ( I haven’t picked it up in months, at least since the Con event ) and noticed Felicia Day and Ron Perlman in my inventory so I took them out, only to realize they still need some stuff to be unlocked. So I tried to put them back in my inventory, but I got a speech bubble telling me that I can’t put them away and need to unlock them. However, their items are no longer available ( ex : puppies should be obtainable by Bruce, and I see that they are droppable from his bathtub gin action AFTER I click on Perlman’s chair, but after the quest finishes, not only does Bruces never drop them, but if I click him before reclicking on the chair, bam, no unlockable puppies option, ). The only alternative is to pay the clams ( an option which funnily enough hasn’t changed ) or plop these two ugly chairs in the corner of the town, a rather poor resolution to a problem a paying customer is having.
I know Tinyco has always been more about making money than agreeable customer service, which I get, people need to make a living after all and gamers love to complain about lesser bugs. But I find this rude and manipulative, seeing how the fact that these characters are none replaceable in the inventory has been acknowledged enough to create a speech bubble response, yet there was no ingame warning beforehand telling me that I’d be stuck with them. Erggggg….

For phase one of the brewery, drop rates were pretty decent. For this second phase, the drop rate has slowed to almost never. Can/does TinyCo change the percentage rates for drops on the fly?? WTD!!
I know it isn’t timed, but I’m wasting so much time checking up on these characters regularly for seemingly no good reason. W. T. D!!

WHAT THE DEUCE…. I do not understand the animosity toward making achievements a tad difficult to achieve. If the entire game is spoon fed to you then why play in the first place, the challenge keeps it interesting. If drop rates were reduced and items cheapened there would be no separation between those of us who devote time and attention from those who casually check their status. No matter what event we are playing I find checking in around every four hours or so gives ample opportunity to unlock 99% of the freemium without bothering with clams. If you are impatient or lapse in your attention to tasks then clams become a safety net. In no way do I begrudge Tiny Co. for what they deem is fair for drop rates or for setting clam unlocks as they see fit. This is supposed to be fun and entertaining, a way to play a game we know well and escape to fun tasks, if it was easy it would no serve the purpose of being fun. Sorry for the reality check but I believe everyone wants this to be so easy that there will not be any enjoyment for those who like a challenge. I have no issues with the way they create the game. The issue I have is with everyone wanting instant gratification and complaining about cost when you know you can achieve everything if you just commit. Thank you Tiny Co and familyguyaddicts for providing an awesome and entertaining game. I hope 2015 will bring much more for us true players who devote attention to the game, rather than those who would complain that rain is wet!! Love the game, keep up the incredible work!!

Wait what, which part is the challenge? Sending your people out on the quest? Or whether or not Tiny-co is going to drop the item. It’s more like a slot machine which requires no skill other than the ability to drop coins in a machine and pull a lever. If that’s a challenge to you then I guess Tiny-co has done it’s job. But for some of us we don’t get the items often enough before time runs out to not feel forced to pay for something we thought we could get with just playing the game diligently.

I wish TinyCo would create an option to permanently delete items from our inventory (specifically decos). I’m tired of scrolling through rows and rows of useless junk from past events!!! (Can someone say halloween portals???) What the duce?!

What the deuce !!!! My drop rates have been fine throughout the district 10 event and the mini event. I think there are to many anxious people not realizing that this game takes time, and creativity. This game will probably last a long time. Why do you want a game you can defeat in an hour. I only have 4 games on my phone, fgqfs, tsto, csi, and a stupid slot game. This game actually makes you think about timing, and its a whole town that you can do with what you want. Kudos to tinyco, and bunny, alissa, and the wookie for keeping us informed, and letting are frustrations out, lord knows how many times I vented on this site. WHAT THE DEUCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

This is actually really awesome because you can collect all the itme again and get the 10 free clams again. Ive done it twice now.

The only problem with that is that Bonnie has a task for the Rite of Passage Tower, and unfortunately she also has the same task for Barnaby to get syringes/steroids. So, it randomly picks one or the other to deliver. Since Barnaby is times, I am considering putting the tower back into inventory for now, until I can complete him (before the timer runs out).

I bought infinity pee machine from tasks for 100 clams,and now quest can’t be done-never gonna keep me down prt 4..there I need to craft this machine,and I can’t do it because I already bought it and it disappeared from bravery crafteble stuff

i have been playing with the windows 10 technical preview. they have the windows app store included and you can install Family Guy TQFS!! I got VERY happy thinking i could play it on my PC on a nice big screen 🙂
problem is, there is no way to connect it with your current game, so i would have to start over to play it 😦 you can install it but not continue where you are at now.

This is probably been said before but when doing an action to collect a Common item, it should be a 1 for 1 situation (100% of the time.) I collect uncommon and sometimes rare items faster than common items. Even failing three times in a row for the empty cologne bottle. This is nonsensical and detracts from the overall enjoyment of the game.

What is up with the movie set “action” icons on most of the tasks for the characters? I’ve tried them but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

Awww… I misread… I thought you said you got them ALL.
In any case… the Steaks and Eggs are VERY rare drop. I did not get many from the joggers at all. So with weights no longer being an option… the rare drop of the other two have not changed… so you will just continue to see nothing drop until you hit that rare steak or egg.
(Why am I now craving steak n eggs? Lol)

I am sure I saw him for 150 clams until this phase started. I was debating on purchasing him. When I went in today to finally say ok ill buy him I noticed its 200. I must be dreaming clams or something : – )

What the duece , does tiny Co not test before they release? Usually I love updates to games, everyone does. When this game updates I hate it. I feel like a beta tester that is constantly asked to pay more than the game is worth. I spent money on clams so I feel obligated to continue playing but will never pay another $ because of this feeling. Maybe I should just cut my losses and delete the game. Games are supposed to releave stress and not cause it. when I waste 10 minutes of my day doing anything just to see it crash and I have to do it again, that causes stress. Just to let you guys know at this website, you have been helpful in playing this game, but alas it seems like it’s my time to go. Feel free to email me if tiny Co can go 2 updates with out a crash. So in other words never.

What the deuce, I still need one plutonium for Stewie. I was going to buy it but then got Human Rupert. I would have skipped him but I’ve wanted him since I started playing. Now I only have 60 clams saved for Vday.

not sure if right post but have Pawtucket mansion and I am doing the unlocking of him but shows a marching band tubist and forklift but both are locked can not craft them? tells me requires upgrading to fear portal?

I finished Phineas and Barnaby before I finished the gymocalypse part 4 quest and the joggers stopped dropping weights. I just wanted to warn everyone. So now I cannot complete the quest. What the deuce! I already reported it.

do you need weights beyond collecting them for phineas and barnaby? i thought Part 4 was just tapping 75 of each jogger. there’s a number of joggers who don’t give out anything but they still count for Part 4 when i tap em.

My Brother spent 125 clams on a Petercopter after I had bought them 10 mins before. I managed to find a place for it in my town and I look at it and think, you aren’t worth 125 clams!

Same situation here! The rest of the items in the factory are locked! Even though I’ve got the mansion I still can’t unlock Pawtucket because the trumpet player and the forklift are locked!
