Remember that one time when you kept saying, “It would be great if TinyCo brought back…“? Well guess what TinyCo is doing? Once again, listening to YOUR requests. There will be some fun Characters coming back, and they all won’t be at once… so keep your eyes on your game over the next week as you will see lots of really cool Characters return and be available until Tuesday, February 3rd.
**In order to be able to see Characters/Costumes offered in your game, you will need to at least have unlocked District 3 as Al’s needs to be in your game to be able to get some of the Characters/Costumes put into play.*** (FYI, not all players will see the same Characters/Costumes offered as it will vary on what YOU have already and WHO you have unlocked in your game. If the Character is NOT unlocked/purchased, you won’t see the Costume in your list.)
Also… King Butt IS timed.

So for the basics…
WHY CAN’T I SEE ALL THE COSTUMES OFFERED?
As stated above, it will vary on WHO you have in YOUR game. So if you have a Character already, they will not show up to get again.
If you have NOT unlocked a Character, you will not see their Costume. For instance if you have not purchased Consuela, you will not see her Dia de los Muertos Consuela Costume. If you do not have Stewie unlocked in District 8, you will not see his Iron Baby Costume.
WHY IS GEORGE AND MR. WEED LOCKED?
New Characters will arrive for purchase/unlock during the Promo, so keep an eye out in your game for when George and Mr. Weed will be available. (We will also post to this site.)
Now for all the Characters/Costumes in the Mystery Box Volume 1…
Each try in the Mystery Box will cost 125 Clams and once that Character/Costume is won, it will be removed from the list and narrow your options down. Some items will go to your Inventory once won, so make sure you go place them. Others will be put into Al’s to “create” so make sure you check there too to complete them and place them onto the Characters. (Updated with the info we were able to verify in game.)
UPDATE: If you had started collection on one of these Characters/Costumes in Al’s but never completed it… you WILL see the breakdown back in Al’s… I am currently looking into this, but it looks like you still need to win them in the Mystery Box. Will post more once clarified.
UPDATE: Confirmed… ALL Characters from the Mystery Box will require you to purchase the Mystery Box in order to get them.

Again, you will only have 7 days to collect all these items once the Sandy Pyramid is built. If you do not complete collection, you will NOT get King Butt. I am still waiting on TinyCo for verifcation due to NO timer in the game, Just the date, if this means 7 days from placement or 7 days regardless and it ends on February 3rd. I’m leaning towards 3rd. (See Below)
UPDATE: As you can see in the pic below… King Butt WILL say NOT READY as he is NOT READY to Create until you collected all his items. Once you are done getting them all, it will change so you can Create him. Also, you can see the end date and time on the pop up too. All this can be seen by tapping on the newly built Sandy Pyramid. The End Date is set for the End of the Event. So you will need to have acquired King Butt BEFORE February 3rd @3PM PST.
Bryan Cranston w/His Chair. From the Quahog ComicCon Event. 450 Clams (Will ALWAYS drop one of items needed for King Butt). Once you purchase and place his chair, you will see him pop up in front of it with the Unlock symbol. Just tap on it to make him active in your game. (Yes, his questline starts up too.)
New Year’s Eve Brian: 150 Clams. Brian in his suit is back again just in case you missed your chance on this Costume. This was a temp glitch.

Quick question, I got Patrick Stewart during Comic Con Event, but unfortunately didn’t get the Clamterprise with the random box using clams. I see now that you can win him with the Clamterprise. Do you know if they’ll be putting Clamterprise on sale to buy for Premium users who didn’t get a chance to get it? Thanks in advance again for all that you ladies do.

My drop rates are awful. I have only 2 Ankhs and 2 Screwdrivers, 0 Ghosts. I’m definitely not going to get King Butt and I play day and night. I find that EXTRA RARE items are more difficult for me to get than EPIC. I purchased a box and got Blobulous Chris, but of course I can’t use him because I don’t have the building he needs to do this task. Had I known that I probably wouldn’t have chanced the clams. That’s what I get for starting the game in November.

Having done a little research I’m guessing it’s because I’m missing lots of the buildings required for tasks XD so blobulous Chris only has 2 tasks, major waste of 125 clams lol.. I guess it’s nice to have Francis anyway even if he isn’t contributing to my item collection.

Really good move on tinyco’s part and it shows they’re listening, I joined too late for comicon and the kingdom moon event and would love to have all the characters BUT I’m not willing to shell out clams for costumes so I won’t be taking advantage of the mystery box. Enjoying the clam free returns though, shame they didn’t bring back the lava I really wanted that

Not sure if I have a glitched game, or if I’m a very lucky man, but I already got all the sonic screedrivers, Peter and Quagmires “nap” activity was basically an always drop, is that weird? I’ve never gotten any epic items this easily, I actually only have two ghosts, and they arent epic

That’s been happening to me too! All the time Peter and quagmire took a nap I got one! I still have 2 to go. But have only one ghost and 9 “crosses”. Either the drop rate gets better, or it’ll be impossible. I have Cranston working on it, but he didn’t drop items always as announced.

I’m not too worried about King Butt, I got the pyramid and working on the tasks, which seem to only give rewards when it feels like… Lol.
I’m hoping to get a chance to earn George Taki, because I tried super hard to get him during Comic Con event, he’s really the only character I wanted and the only one I don’t have. Any possibility if we will get the chance to get him?

I guess, it seems for me peter and quagmire always drop epic item. Bunny, both you and I know that once I get all the epics the ankhs will probably drop more frequently. Slash consuelas task is now dirty dancing for 4hrs and Nathan fillion is included although I don not have him

Wow, these ghosts are really a pain to get. I’m noticing that in the timed events, the ‘epic’ items are trolls, and its the ‘extra rare’ ones you really need to worry about. I’m sitting @ 11 ankh, 5 pens, and 0 ghosts atm. Have 5 chars on ankhs,the usuals plus patrick on pens, and 2 of the 3 on ghosts.
I remember them saying that the chance of a drop goes up the more times you do a task… not sure if thats really a think but hopefully that will kick in soon, heh.

Does anyone (Bunny? Alicia?) know the drop rate for Extra Rare items? Is it on average once every six 4-hr tasks or something like that? It would help in doing the math for Bonnie and Jerome and their ghosts.
More importantly – since they both drop extra rare flutes, are the drop rates calculated for each separately or do they have one chance to drop an extra rare item and it could be either – making it half as likely to get ghosts?
In other words, supposing that extra rare is 1/6, would it drop flutes on turn three and ghosts on turn six, or would it drop one flute or ghost on turn six making it 1/12 for the ghosts?
I assume that TinyCo has considered this and made the correct calculation – but it would be nice to know, because if this one is pay-to-win, we can decide either to buy Bryan Cranston or otherwise not worry about the event.
Two days in, I have yet to get a single ghost!

Myself and Alissa do not have a %. They never released that information. We just go off what we see in our games. That being said, we still see the rate drops vary per player and game. Honestly, they are impacted by how YOU play. How many Characters YOU have. How often YOU send that same character on the material dropping task.
Each material is its own entity, so they both will be random. But the more common one will likely drop first. (I just got 4 ghosts.)
It honestly is all chance. Just keep playing and see what happens. Try force closing the app now and then and even restart your device before sending them again to “refresh” the game if you feel the drops aren’t coming.

Ok this is a great chance for fun and a new / old character thankfully I have B.C. but what the he’ll is tiny co thinking using 2 other characters with the same tasks for Pawtucket pat !!!!?????? I haven’t gotten 1 ghost and started as soon as this update started … Highly disappointed with this ….

Yep, same here not a single extra rare ghost but 3 epic screwdrivers! How does that work?! I don’t have Cranston (and kind of begrudge 450 clams for one character who will no doubt be largely useless after king butt) so I think I can kiss goodbye any chance of getting KB 😦

I really think more of the premium characters should help at winning King Butt too. Jason, Freddy, Alien, and Predator should drop ghosts at least!

i cannot find my second pyramid after I’d placed it. So I cannot click on anything to see when it will end, or find out how many items i’ve collected. So I guess I also have no way of unlocking him even if somehow i manage to get all the items.
have sent in a msg through the game itself… but no acknowledgement whatsover as yet.

Did you hide it behind any other buildings? You can put the game in “edit/movement” mode so you only see the buildings and decorations and try looking for it that way. Its a brown sandy pyramid and should stand out from the white snow. It’s kinda a bigger size too.

A day and a half in, I have 1 Ankh. This isn’t going to happen. I have all the characters and costumes that can help apart from Bryan Cranston. It will be interesting to see if I even get close.
Still a great move on TinyCo’s part to do this.

You seem to be doing well so far. I only had that 1 Ankh when I posted, no screwdrivers or ghosts. Now I’m at 4 Ankhs, 4 screwdrivers and 0 ghosts, so that’s a big improvement. Good luck to you too, I’m a bit worried about those Ankhs.

I got Francis Griffin for ‘free’ – he just appeared in my regular set of items to buy, I Think I had to pay $1000 for him or so, but a pleasant surprise! So I haven’t gotten any mystery box at all since I own the rest of the characters.

In the shop is shows Bryan Cranston always drops. Is that referring to the chair or the character (throwing pizza action) or both?

TinyCo is amazing 🙂 The drop rates for King Butt are amazing! I already got 2 of the “epic” screwdrivers. I’m not going to buy Bryan though. He’s the only character I don’t have and I’ve been doing just fine without him.

By the way, Bryan Cranston doesn’t always drop stuff with his four hour task.
I kept a close eye on him, and sure enough at the end of his pizza throwing this morning, I got nada.
Should I let Tiny Co know? He costs money after all.

Check your inventory for Francis and Diane (a lot of players are reporting they got them clam free in their inventory). As far as Consuela…check Al Harrington’s. You probably have to create her in the store like other skins. (create meaning just wait time, not collect items)

You say Ankhs can be earned via Dia de Los Murrow Consuela – but having spent the 125 clams on the mystery box for her (I had all other Charachters/skins anyway), I can’t see a task that earns anything for her?

So here’s the thing…I already have King Butt so I can’t check the exact task. TinyCo has informed us (because we’re flying blind with this event, since we have all the characters) that Dia De Los Muertos Conseula has a task for Ankhs but that’s it. They didn’t tell us which task it is. Can fellow Addicts offer some guidance on what the task should be and if you’re seeing it too? If you’re not, let me know and we’ll put the word in with TinyCo.

FYI, in my game, Consuela’s “buy pan dolce” was an ankh task, but as of this morning it switched to “do a dirty dance” (thus negating any possible ankh from the “buy” task she just finished. Grr).

Hi Alissa & those wondering how to get Consuelas ankh task, you need to have got the Pawducket Panadera building during the Halloween event. If you have it make sure it’s placed in your town and not in storage.

I’m posting this in the hopes that someone can help me see pros/cons that I may be missing. I am absolutely deadlocked with myself about buying Bryan Cranston. I think the price is ridiculous, however, I love having characters and I know he’d help me with King Butt. Where I start to dither is wondering whether spending that money on unlocking the last 5 items in the mystery box would end up being more beneficial? Most of the costumes help gather items for King Butt – but they aren’t guaranteed…
I don’t remember every being this torn over a decision in this game. I keep thinking if I buy this, next week they’re going to bring back Comic Con characters that I’m going to want to buy, and ughhhhh. I don’t wanna spend all my moolah here. Help me Qahogians…I can’t make a decision 😦

I mean I’ve gotten all the freemium characters up till now and there’s deffinitley been some ones like Jesus that I didn’t think I would get because of the time left with the times I had and then they dropped that whole 100,000 cookies and there’s been some other hard freemium a to get, but king butt wow even the uncommon a aren’t dropping for me and I really never complain about this game ,so I still don’t see with everyone tasking at same time how it’s going to be possible maybe I’m wrong and after I unlock him I’ll be posting here saying it was possible but for now it’s looking gloom

Same here. I have every helpful skin and character except for Brian Cranston (who is way too expensive) and I’m still getting almost nothing. I really wanted King Butt too, so I’m sad I’ll miss him again. I just wasn’t far enough in the game during the full moon event to stand a chance at getting him.
I want George Takei very badly, so I hope they make it easier to get him than King Butt.

Hi. I had a quick question. I was looking through my shop and cannot find the mystery box option. Is this because I’m only missing one skin from it? (The Consuela one). Also I don’t have Suit Brian in my shop. Is this a known issue? I find this werid because the pyramid for King Butt was in my shop. Thanks!
P.S- is anyone else nervous about the fact that we have to get 11 ghost? I have not gotten one yet and there are only two ways (and Cranston) to get them. Maybe I’m just being paranoid but I really want King Butt!

If you don’t own Consuela, you wont see the box to get her costume. The rest, if offered would be in your menu to buy them or their building. If they are not there, you do not get them.

Have to add the hope that the Clamterprise is somehow rewarded to anyone who has gotten Mr. Stewart, either through the CC event or the Best of Box… Aside from waiting “patiently” for the Bullock costume, getting his stellar house would be a nice thanks for those who acquired him earlier (since the Best of box seems to be awarding it with him)

I have a glitch on Patrick Stewart. Every time he ends the quest for the sonic screwdriver he goes back to having a lock over him and I have to unlock him all over again. He will never drop an item doing this unless I use clams before his time is up which can get expensive. Is any one else having this problem? Thanks for all you do for us!!

Was King Butt originally a timed character? Given the current drop rates, 7 days seem unlikely unless you buy Brvan Cranston. It doesn’t help that Bonnie and Jerome have extra rare tasks both for King Butt and Pawtucket Pete, so if you are lucky enough to get a drop, it could be for PP instead of KB.

Yes… and a NIGHTMARE!! The ONLY way you got him is if you used the “glitch” to get him. Some got him OK, but success rate without the glitch was really low.
And don’t worry on the drops. They are falling a LOT faster than people think. 🙂

I had a 50/50 shot of getting Adventurer Peter (which I wanted, huge Indiana Jones fan) or getting Consuela’s outfit (which I do not really want as I have no plans to purchase her soon). I went for it. I actually got the one that I wanted!
I hope this hasn’t been answered before, but I noticed some characters have more than option for getting things to unlock King Butts (Stewie can either be Iron Baby or Mutant, Peter can hug with Quagmire or fly under the influence). Is this a case where the longer task has better odds of dropping the item or just another oppurtunity for people missing costumes?

Longer tasks usually yields better results. So its something they’ve been doing lately to offer multiple options at different time levels (as many stated they wanted other time options in the past). It also, like you stated, gives options for Premies and Freemies to have choices to pick from. 😉

I’d like another chance to snag 80s Cleveland … AND … I don’t want to buy him, I want to go on tasks to collect stuff and “win” him.
It’s not that I don’t want to spend clams, I have plenty. To me, the fun in this game is the quest to get stuff, buying it is like cheating. From that respect, I guess I’m a freemium player. I do buy clams occasionally because I get a lot of fun playing, if no one buys clams, how will TinyCo pay its developers to keep the game going, I want to support their business but I don’t want to just buy stuff. (I’m in the IT services business and everyone wants my skills/advice for free, someone has to pay me or I’ll go broke 😛😛)

I guess I will focus on Pawtucket Pat as I had all the characters and skins before this and got king butt during the event cause of the glitch. I wish they would allow pee pants back cause that is the only thing I missed out on.

I only needed Consuela from the mystery box so 125 clams was a fair deal I thought. I’ll start working on King but in the morning as I just sent all my characters for their daily 12 hour tasks for while I’m sleeping.
I am disappointed that Patrick Stewart now comes with the clamterprise as that was one of the decorations I most wanted from comic con but I couldn’t afford the clams for the mystery box back then 😦

I can’t wait for another chance to get kool aid man. I think he is the only one i don’t got. When will we get to unlock Death? Will we get star wars skins for a comic con event? I feel that should of already been done.

I don’t see any of this in my game. I only see the Kingdom items in the store. But no notice of any events etc. is it because I already have these characters? I never got the Clamterprise though, does his mean I have another chance at that? Help!!

I went to my inventory and Francis and Diane’s graves were there. I placed them and got both characters straight away, no tasks or anything!

I got the pyramid for $1000 and placed it but nothing happened. I have no timer, no mystery box, no king tut. Is this a glitch or did I do something wrong?

LOVING this!!! King Butt is the only freemium character I don`t have cause I was still quite new to the game when Kingdom of the Full Moon popped up. Now I finally have a real shot at claiming him. Thank you, TinyCo. And also thank you Bunny and Alissa for all the great info and dedication!

I didn’t discover this game until the Christmas event was underway, and as such I’m barely into District 8. Since I don’t have Stewie yet, my only characters who can earn Sonic Screwdrivers are Patrick Stewart, Dr. Hartman, and Quagmire. Do you guys think I’ve got a shot at King Butt, or should I abandon it and just concentrate on unlocking Stewie?

I started at end of Christmas event as well. And I just unlocked Brian. However FYI getting the screwdrivers isn’t the problem. I got 4 already peter and Q napping drops them every time for me… The anks r the problem. I got more screwdrivers than anks. I sent tinyco a message about it but doubt they will extend our time to unlock king but or reduce how many anks we need.

It varies from game to game. I have half the ankhs 1 sonic screwdrivers and three ghosts. ankhs are dropping left and right for me. So what I’m saying is “your results may vary”

I guess this went right over my head, probably because I’ve got King Butt and all the new-old skins. I didn’t see anything prompting a new event at all. I did see an exclamation point by my shopping cart last night but when I clicked it, there wasn’t anything new there. I guess this explains it. I can buy a couple of palm trees to decorate my beach but that’s about it. I would like the Clamterprise, which was a very rare prize in a mystery box during Comic Con. Or the “Fart of the Covenant.” That would be a cool rare prize to make available to long-time players.
Oh well, guess its back to clearing Chumba Wumbas and keeping my fingers crossed for those last 2 flutes and 5 beer can hats … and that 1 elusive beer bubble that Connie just can’t seem to burp out.

Don’t get me wrong though, I do commend Tinyco for making these characters available to newer players. I know if I had started later I would have wanted something like this periodically.
