I know you all are “patiently” (HAHAHAHAHAH!) waiting for something to come along to break apart the monotony of what this Fine Arts District has brought. No worries, as I have been trying to tell you all… it is the “calm before the storm”. What on earth am I talking about? Well… lemme just put this lil icon here and let the NERD FREAK OUTS BEGIN!!! 😛
But seriously, this is an icon that appeared with no warning… no info… and nothing to verify just when/if this is gonna happen. All I can say is THIS Geeky Nerd Girl is TOTALLY FREAKING THE FRAK OUT!!! Just sayin.

UPDATE: Just a warning as I see this spreading. I saw this icon after an iOS/Apple update NOT a TinyCo one was forced on my device. Once back my Family Guy Updated to a 1.7 version. (Other apps did too.) Since then I’m not able to get back in the game now on that iOS device (Android I can still get in fine). The App is no longer in the App Market. And if I try to pull it from my purchases on the cloud… I just get Consuela “Can’t Connect”. I’ve reported it. Feel free to email them too help@tinyco.com
UPDATE 3-11: Here are a few links from around on the iOS issue currently going on. My suggestion is to turn OFF any auto App Market updates (if you can) and avoid any changes to your Family Guy App at all costs. Stay on the 1.6.8 version. Do NOT try to find or force the 1.7 Version or your game will not work.
FYI… TinyCo is well aware of the issue and doing all they can, unfortunately this is NOT anything to do with them. It is ALL on iOS. So all they can do is wait like the rest of us for the App Market to come back… THEN they can make sure the Family Guy App is working as it should be.

Can anyone help me out? I just unlocked Stewie in the Windows version. Now my game is collecting Baby Powder and Captain’s hat’s. But there doesn’t appear to be any characters or costumes to unlock at the moment.

Yah… sorry. The Windows version is still in kind of a BETA set and it hiccups now and then and Limited Time Events seem to trigger. They are working on it.

It’s not Tinyco’s fault this time. There’s a major worldwide down in the App Store today… It’s not that the app is not in the store. The thing is, iDevices can’t connect to Apple’s servers and retrieve the apps…
So we’ll just have to wait. . . .

If this event is simply Star Trek based this one is not for me and will keep my clams however I understand the appeal and that you can’t please everyone, However if it is Star Trek with a with a hint of other sci-fi stuff i’ll give it a nosey plus I have both Alien and Predator and from Tiny Co’s hint they could be getting a play mate!! Here is hoping to some random characters nothing to do with it popping up! Oh and I hope they do put a joint task for my Arnie and Predator in there as it would be rude not to! Get to the choppppppppppper!

Actually… those, much like our games, are notifications/app emails that they also text to me, email to me on my regular .com, and same I get in my post office box. So, just more of exactly the same thing over n over. Lol. They also send out at times 4 or 5 daily. I just don’t bother to take the time to go into it, go to the notifications/email area, and clear them all the time.
I have other more important things to do… you know… like write posts for this site about OTHER cool icons I see pop up… for this game… that this site is about. 😉

This is realy looking good being a bit of a Trekie, thanks Tiny, wish they would bring the tv series back, feel sorry for ios users problems again, but at least us Android players should be greatful rather than shouting shouting where is my update. Hope they do include a tribute to Leonard, a Spock statue would be great idea.

I am guessing this is not just a Trek event but a sci-fi event because I still remember what was hinted before about people not being afraid of Alien and Predator and since we already have Dutch in the game that leaves Ripley left. So I think this will be more than just a Trek event. Not a real big Trek fan myself but more of a Wars fan. I will still get whoever they release though. Like Pokemon: Got to get them all. 😉

Yeah, I noticed the game is no longer in the App Store when trying to install it on my mom’s new iPad 2 Air yesterday. Google search still finds it but when you go to the iTunes link it connects to the store and says Item Not Available. Maybe they took it down because they’re fixing Carl and the videos for clams? If it’s gone for updates I would have preferred they just disable the button and include a message as to what’s happening. Having it entirely gone from the store didn’t make me too happy.

That’s what I normally do. Link them here. When I feel nice and drop by there. They are colorful aren’t they? I crap a rainbow back on them, but then I look far the worse than they. So I drop the link. Like today, lol, I dropped a link, after Apple fixed themselves, to a news article. I have no idea if it did any good, probably not lol. C’est la vie.

wanted to share that on my Android LG G2 the game icon is still the same&no updates found anywhere.i’m not freakin outt or anything of the matter lol but wanted to also say the bf has iOS and no new icon either,but i didn’t get a chance to look into his app store to check for any kind of update.
he’s DEFINITELY gonna be really really interested in this because he really is a bigger geek than me hehe he likes star wars, lord of the rings. etc.,!!!
I’m always super excited with new stuff everytime and glad it’s coming really soon, hoping for maybe a Thursday or LATE Wednesday night 😉

On my iphone i just updated to iOS 7.1.2 I try to download family guy and it downloads version 1.7.0 but when i Borrow my step moms iPad it downloads 1.6.8 I don’t understand the version 1.7.0 will not let me play at all it just says cannot connect to server but the one on the iPad goes right through. I have tried deleting and redownload ing to no avail.

No offense tinyco. But I DEMAND a Leonard Nemoy tribute or memorial of some kind if this is indeed coming. That man deserves that at least. I hope I’m not the only one to agree with this whether you liked star trek or not you have to appreciate and respect what it has done for sci-fi hell pop culture among plenty of other things in today’s generation. Because of its influence.

I agree. I’m not a Trekkie, but knew him more as that guy on Mission Impossible (as a kid, anyway) and really respected his photography and for turning a blessing into a worldwide nerdy greeting. He deserves a good send off.
And please, media people lets not air the guy’s home address during any announcements this time. Seriously, my news station at home did this. 😳

Just gotta keep in mind, it is not just about asking. There is all the attorneys, lawyers, copyrights… on n on n on involved to allow a company to use your likenesses, storyline, characters… then there is the voice actors having to give their releases… SOOOO much goes on behind trying to bring something that does NOT belong to the company to life. All legal aspects have to be signed off in order for them to proceed.
They are listening, they have shown that. Though YOU may not have seen the request… I have. Many times. #1 requested to this day is still Blue Harvest. 😉
