Now we’ve got another exclusive spoiler for you guys. I was watching Family Guy last night and suddenly a commercial for TQFS came on! Oh the benefits of watching live TV for a change. I was stunned to see a TQFS commercial in the first place, but even more excited to see that it feature the new Star Trek Event! How awesome is that?!
So I did what any good Addict would do…I rewinded and watched the commercial over and over again! (oh the joys of DVR!) And…since I know you’re all clamoring to get more information about the event…I recorded it just for you guys! Here it is (sorry about the crummy picture, it was late and I didn’t have the time to transfer the dvr over to the computer. I’ll try and get a cleaner one tonight):
Did that just blow your mind or what?! Did you see all the awesome play areas and ways the characters will be using the sets? Looks like TinyCo is going to be doing some really cool stuff with this & I love it! Of course..this is just a commercial so we’ll have to wait and see what happens when the real thing hits….

Captain Picard should be a costume for Patrick Stewart so I wouldn’t expect TinyCo to charge twice if you don’t already have Sir Stewart.

I have a feeling the hub is gonna be a tower with many layers this time. You can see an elevatorish part at the top left corner also in the Family Guy Tips spoiler the same elevatorish part is there

During the Valentine’s event, we got similar “rooms” that just went on regular land. The elevator you mention is a normal pocket-door, not a turbolift. The Addicts room looks like it will stay in the event hub area for crafting and the Tips room will probably be a standalone decoration.

Have you heard of an update for this? Usually they roll out an update a few days ahead to change the icon etc. just curious lol

I think it is cool the star trek event is starting but when will the update hit for andrdoid market? Will we have to wait a week like with the comic con event?

They stated March 19th for release. I have not seen a delay like Con… since Con.

I am kind of happy that I have Patrick Stewart…I hope he plays a major part in the upcoming event. I am sure they will make him unlockable again, but for those that already have him, there better be some good stuff to do or a reason for having him already.

Even if it belongs to the ‘Dear TinyCo, I would really like…’ post, I am gonna suggest a little something. It would be great if they can bring the Quahog Planetarium in this event. I participated in Comic-con event but I was at the beginning, so couldn’t afford the planetarium. TinyCo started to bring old stuff back into the game (like Asylum or Bathhouse), so maybe they will consider this too. The building itself fits right into the new event concept too! Just a little suggestion.
And even if I am not a Star Trek fan, I am very excited about the event! TinyCo has been advertising and raising the hope for too long, so I guess it is going to be hell of an event!

Yay! Hoping for freemium costumes for mr Takei and mr Stewart. Going to be awesome anyway! One can only hope that the stars are in line so the event can start on time, I can already see the angry Facebook mob if it doesn’t *eating popcorn* 🙂 🍟🍺🍤

I have to admit, my excitement for the new event is tempered by wondering what new glitch they will come up with to piss off the masses! *chuckle*

Whatever ‘glitch’ it is, I’m getting the feeling it will be deliberate to keep the game being talked about on social media. If a free game is not getting people emotionally involved enough to be talked about it will quickly die.

Not to quash the excitement for the Star Trek event, but do you ladies and your crystal ball see anything coming for St. Patrick’s day? I’d love to earn a few clams by sending everyone drinking for the day.

Being a child of the ’60’s, I’m a Star Wars purist. If it doesn’t have Kirk, Spock, McCoy, et.al, I will be disappointed. I’ll still enjoy the quest, just not as much. LLAP.

I guess I was hoping for Star Wars too. Major gaffe. Should read TREK not Wars. What was I thinking? Must be the hour or maybe the Crown Royal.

Since were all guessing… mine is that the commercial shows a lot of cool stuff which we will all try to get; buildings, dioramas, gadgets, characters.
I don’t foresee this commercial as a direct translation into the game. The show is a cartoon, but our game really isn’t.

So are these locations just like those appearing in the forest areas in previous events? Or are they finally releasing special areas you can visit like they should of done for Stewies time travel blimp. 😛

Each Event so far uses the forest event area. I do not know just yet how this one will play out. Excited to find out though, that is for sure. 😉

i would love if this was treated like Krustyland on the Simpsons game, where its a seperate area you “travel” to. it be cool if you could somehow design your own ship interior with all of these rooms. instead of roads connecting everything, you have the famous hallways of the ship. so either have you design your own Enterprise or just your own Starfleet ship.
i doubt it’ll be anything like that, i’m guessing the rooms will be treated like the bedroom/bathrooms we’ve seen in the Valentine update but….it would be cool if not.

Looks like it’s going to be more Next Gen than Original Series or NuTrek. But who knows? The font lettering is a mixed of both.

No idea what that is… not a trekkie. But I am wondering if we’ll get the full fledged 7 new character rollout this event like the other big ones (xmas, comicon,halloween) or if it will be like a medium event like valentines or american dad giving us 3-5 characters.

I never watched Star Trek as a kid so not sure what to expect. I did see a UFO (no I’m not crazy) that looked like the Star Trek enterprise once.

OMG! Every time I think these events can’t get better, tinyco shows me that these events can get better! What’s next? A back to the future event with the wild west and the future? hahaha!

Thats what I was hoping for regarding Stewie’s time travel blimp…but nope. Its just “Collect Items” to gain time travel collectibles. I wish it literally took you to a new map or something, like the wild west, and build around a new town in the west, even if its small lol

I’m sure TinyCo would love to do a Blue Harvest event but it’s not up to them. Disney own all things Star Wars, it’s their call.

So this looks to be specifically a TNG Star Trek event.
The play areas so far are:
Bridge
10 Forward
Hanger Bay
Storage Bay
I”m guessing the other two areas with be: Sick Bay, Captain’s Office, Engineering, and Holo-Deck. Those are the only other major places left.
The only thing about this event is just how long it’ll be to get all the new characters. The cast became huge over time so its going to take a long time to unlock everybody. This would have to last 6 weeks minimum.

I hid all the characters that don’t do anything except get money. Whenever they are needed, the game tells you which characters do what. Clicking on it automatically brings them out of their box to use.

TY for the clip Alissa. Looks they’ve been working hard over there on this event. I always felt they were going to have a Star Wars event and am excited to see all the new stuff and challenges coming up! I’m still gonna be upset if I don’t get my Spanish Peter though lol.

we canadians lucked out this time….. Global (the canadian network) aired the show at 7:30 which means that the 9pm showing was actually Fox, no Global taking it over like usual!! as suck, i got to see that commercial as well!! huzzah!!

Any news on whether or not they’ll add any more town space for the event? I like the way I’ve designed my town but with decorations and everything the available area has been mostly taken up. I just fear that I will miss out on adding neat Star Trek themed items to my town because of limited space..

No. Usually land is a District release. Events have the “event” area most items are tucked into. All we can do is wait and see. 😉

I’ve seen elsewhere another image of a living quarters. On Fox last night during the show there was a commercial for this game event and it showed that character in his quarters. I haven’t been able to find the commercial online today.

Oh well, at least we got our green water back on the other game. The last minute event over there was a nice surprise and you’re right, ya never know… Maybe TinyCo might throw us a lucky lepraucan or shamrock last minute.
