Hello There Clammers!
Dropping in with some much needed GOOD NEWS about candy in the Telenovela Event. Are you ready for it?
The Candy requirement has been changed to….35! They’ve dropped the required number of candies down 20. So now you’ll only need 35 Candies to unlock Spanish Soap Opera Peter! So many of you should be there already!
The event still ends at 3pm PDT on 3/18/15….BUT with this candy drop many of you should have no problem getting him!

Sometimes I wonder if Tinyco does this last minute save thing intentionally. It starts out looking super hard & voila! At the end, the heroes swoop in to save the day. It certainly pays to wait in this game. Regardless, it is generous of them to make events winnable without having to use clams.

Great news! However I’m still behind on those irritating hats (13/20 after all this time!) so I’m thinking best case scenario is I break even with this costume. At the most I think I might get some 5 extra clams out of it. Still worth it, though!

I love TinyCo! This is why I am happy to spend money on clams in this game. Every time I give the evil eye to Bryan Cranston for not helping with something, I try to remind myself TinyCo deserved the support. I might have spent a few clams to complete Spanish-Soap Peter since I am close, but now I can use them for tomorrow’s event. 🙂

Thanks, Alissa! I just got the 35th candy. One more moustache to go and I can build him. I should be able to complete the 50 pinata smashes as well–I only need 4 more.
I wouldn’t actually have been mega upset if I hadn’t been able to get him, just because I have so much already considering I’m freemium, but it definitely creates good will. And I’ve broken down and purchased clams (and donuts) in the past, sometimes just from gratitude. Could happen again 🙂

That’s great – very nice of tiny co – just creating spanish Peter now – unfirtunately had just sent Peter for bandanas – so I’ll have to wait a few hours to finally use my new Spanish friend. Oh and I just got Olivia too – so I’m all ready for the Star Trek event.

Very cool of Tiny Co to monitor the situation. It must be tough to play balance the drops and timing on such short notice with no Beta test. This was going to be the first timed quest I wasn’t able to complete. Was going 24/7 every 2 hours and only had 39 as of 24 hours till the end. Bravo.

This might explain why the candies stopped dropping for me (I was at 38). But, now what am I going to do with 10+ blindfolds? Give them to S&M Lois?

Good that they did this but with less than 24 hours to the cutoff and 19 hours worth of Peter questing, seems a bit like a consolation prize. I’m happy they listened but sad that we may be missing storyline. Happy but sad

Also if u are close the clam payout to finish will be minimal and refunded by the 25 u get for finishing

thats very cool but you still need 50 pinatas. if you don’t get those 50, guessing you’re still screwed when the event ends even if you manage to unlock Peter’s costume? or will that continue as long as you have him unlocked and walking around?

Questlines usually rarely continue past events. So if that is what you are asking, I am still waiting on word back it if will or not.

Good change especially because of the horrible spawn times of the pinatas, The quest still remains 50 though, so guess I wont be completing that 😛 They really need to be more realistic when it comes to short events because they usually get their numbers wrong and end up tweaking eventually.

Yay! I had all but given up on unlocking this skin but with only two candies needed, I should have it completed in plenty of time.
On this subject, has anyone else noticed that on timed events the frequency of item drops increases as the deadline gets nearer? It’s as if TinyCo set you up to initially panic into spending shells on additional item generators but then are too nice to see their tight-fisted freemium players (me included) from losing out on stuff. Whatever – TinyCo rules! Bring on Star Trek!

Not true. They were fully aware. I was just helping by sending actual stats of where everyone was so when it was reset, they had a good idea of where it needed to be reset to. 😉

Woohoo, 36/35. Building costume now. I was getting ready to complain because I stopped seeing candies drop, but this is much better. Hope they see it in their hearts to refund anyone who might have bought either blindfolds or pinatas. Still need 11 more pinatas for a whole new mundo pt 4.

Thank goodness! After getting a 3rd no candy in a row and still sitting at 34 I was starting to panic (and only 2 more pinatas to clear the quest)!

It may help, as I have completed the hats and moustaches, and only need 8 more candies to complete, but I do have 15 blindfolds, so I am pretty safe on that front, as long as the remaining pinatas drop when they are supposed to and they drop candy! I was one of those that were not receiving pinatas, and then once I did, the drop rate was exceptionally slow.
I am glad I took your advice and kept playing, even though it looked hopeless! You ladies rock! *smile*

Great gesture by TinyCo, I’m not sure how much more they can do to show players they listen. I’m off to buy me some clams to show the guys at TinyCo I appreciate this latest move. And Bunny & Alissa I would buy you some too if I could as you always take our thoughts to TinyCo and in the proper way, unlike the nastiness on the FGQFS Facebook page.

pretty sure GooglePlay cards are the exact same thing as iTunes cards?!…just a scratch off space in the back of the card and the number is behind it I believe.
Then just type that number into your GooglePlay or iTunes account under “redeem” or of some sort of similar..

That is great. The only problem I have is sitting on 17 masks and no pinatas. Why does it take so long for new pinatas to generate?

I started to gripe on the other thread and thought, TinyCo has always done the right thing, so I’ll hold off. So glad to see they continue their good practices.
The way a gaming company treats it’s players is the #1 factor in whether I’ll spend money with them.

I am still going to be cutting this one Marty Mcfly close. I had to wait for some land to finish being cleared before I got start the buildings to start the event. Put we way behind. I wish they had an auto end task feature or at least gave significant warning before an event. I am scared to clear land since I never know when my guy will be needed elsewhere.
